[DGM] Lead
A/N: HAPPY BIRTHDAY @a1y-puff !! I actually got this out in time I’m so proud of myself! Ahem, originally based off the prompt “putting their hand on your back to lead you”. Managed to expand this past the initial Drabble it was 💚
Kanda wasn't quite sure when he started doing it, just that one day he started pressing his hand to Allen's back when he started walking in the wrong direction. At first it was so they didn't get even more lost than they already were--being in unfamiliar territory, after all, was pretty confusing on it's own. It didn't help that this city had alleyways upon alleyways that were commonly used as shortcuts. So really, who could blame him?
But then he started doing it on the main roads, where many people traveled and where it was impossible to miss the gigantic signs advertising what street name they were on, or where they were being led to. Yet even here, Allen didn't seem to notice much, which maybe was why Kanda didn't notice.
Or at least that was what he told himself.
It got even worse, though, two months later when their vacation was coming to a close. It was supposed to be a senior trip, despite Lenalee and Allen not being anywhere near senior age, but they wanted the trip to be about the four of them before Lavi and Kanda eventually moved into the dorms to start their first semester of University at the local, but hot shot, University.
Point was, when Kanda started leading Allen through the hallway of the small bungalow house they somehow managed to rent for the summer even he couldn't ignore it anymore. Especially when, on the last night, when Lavi and Lenalee had already gone to bed, Kanda found himself leading Allen down the hall to his bedroom. A hall even Allen couldn't get lost in because it only led to their bedrooms, dammit!
He tried to pull his hand away, but he knew it was already too late. Allen was overly conscious of him, just like Kanda was overly conscious of the fact that yes, he could feel Allen's warmth through the thin tshirt he was wearing. So when they got to Allen's room, where before it would have been natural to part ways, Allen asked, almost tentatively, “Did you….want to come in?”
Like Kanda could really say no to that tone of voice. Didn't that say something too?
****
Allen wasn't quite sure when Kanda started doing it, just that he noticed that hand on his back more often than not. Maybe it was because of the twists and turns of the alleyways here and the fact that Allen knew he had no sense of direction, but he hadn't really expected Kanda of all people to be the one to guide him. It was Lavi's idea, initially, to go on this trip. Allen half expected him to be the perky as heck tour guide, claiming something or other about visiting this city at some point with his grandfather ‘way back when’....whatever that meant. Lavi was also the only one who knew the language fairly well, but at least they'd had almost a year to prepare for the 2 months they'd be here.
It was supposed to be a last send off, before Kanda and Lavi went away to university. Really, maybe that was why Allen was so overly conscious of Kanda now? Because he knew somewhere in the back of his mind that he wouldn't see him every single day like he had since sometime in, what, middle school?
They'd met on a rainy cold March, nothing like the steamy humid end of May heat of this city because he accidentally got shoved by someone else and got Kanda's, as well as his, backpack soaked when some jerk drove by and sloshed muddy road water up onto the sidewalk.
He'd apologized, but of course Kanda didn't forgive him. Maybe that was what started it, or at least the animosity. Allen wasn't quite sure when the actual friendship started, if he could even call it that. He knew they knew similar people. That day was just a day that Lavi hadn't been there to calm Kanda down, apparently (seeing as none of them could drive, even moreso Lavi because of the eyepatch none of them ever talk about). He somehow even knew Lenalee, who was closer to Allen's age and it seemed like that friendship preceded even Lavi's by years. Allen didn't ask about that either, until Kanda visited one day when Allen was over and her brother treated Kanda like family.
It maybe happened two years later, when Allen finally entered high school. Two years of occasional fights, bloody noses, getting patched up, but also learning about each other so really maybe it was just natural they became friends? It really was the four of them making their way through life as awkward teenagers, even if Kanda never looked like he had an awkward stage in his life.
But right Allen was getting off track.
The point was somehow they went from that….to this, where even on the main roads Kanda would do it. The hand pressed against his back as they tried to catch up to Lavi who somehow always knew where he was going. He was probably doing this on purpose now, too, something Kanda kept pointing out. Even Lenalee started doing it, or even when she didn't Kanda's hand refused to move and Allen was left dealing with Lenalee's increasingly inquisitive looks.
It made him feel very uncomfortable, but Kanda never once seemed to notice. Allen was almost thinking they'd go the entire trip with Kanda painstakingly Not Noticing.
But then it happened. The last week or so of their trip. Suddenly that hand wouldn't move, even when they got back to the tiny little place they rented. Now, Allen knew he was directionally challenged but this place was tiny enough that really the only things he couldn't find were some of the canned vegetables that one time Lavi asked him to help cook some local dish and even then that was because he hadn't paid attention to where Lenalee put it and there were several cabinets to choose from.
Case in point he knew exactly where his room was. It was down one hallway, same as with Lenalee, Lavi, and Kanda's rooms. It was impossible for him to get lost on the way from the front door.
And yet Kanda still did it.
Allen had a feeling Lavi had noticed for a while now, just like Lenalee, because no matter how many times he'd trail off ahead of them (and be a horrible tour guide) he'd always wait and see, no matter how quickly (or not) they'd get to their destination. So yes, usually that meant Lavi would get to their rented place sooner than them. Usually Lenalee would nab the shower first, under the telltale reason of “ladies first” so Lavi would loiter on the couch watching the local news or reading. So he'd see them come in, which meant he saw when Kanda still didn't move his hand even to lead Allen to the kitchen.
Maybe that was when Kanda started to ‘get it's. Allen didn't really want to know what was going through his head when he did, just that he caught Kanda staring more. But the words would always get stuck in his throat before he could ask. Or Lenalee, or Lavi would always barge in. At this point they were probably watching closely too because--
God. It felt like they were on the cusp of something, but Allen didn't want to get his hopes up. Why was he hoping for anything?
Or maybe he was his own dosage of oblivious too. Maybe Kanda really had noticed the entire time how often they'd get stranded together, where Kanda had to lead the way home. Maybe Kanda was just as overly aware of all the staring being done too, or maybe in typical Kanda fashion he didn't give a rats ass about that and instead only noticed because he just. Kept. Doing it.
Even on the last day, when they finally made it home and there was only one tiny desk lamp on for them. The house was silent, the TV wasn't on, if Kanda really focused he could hear Lavi snoring through the thin walls. Lenalee was probably in bed too. They were the only ones awake, and /that/ was when it hit. All because he looked back to see Kanda staring at him, with his hand still there on his back. It didn't even move as they made their way down the tiny hallway to Allen's room. Here, where they would normally part ways so Kanda could just /turn back around/ and walk to the room he always passed for this last week or so just to make sure Allen got to his.
But this time the air was thick, Allen's heart was in his throat, where it had no place being, so he had to wheeze out the words, “Did you….want to come in?”
****
Surprisingly Kanda didn't say no. In fact he didn't say anything at all, he just nodded his head and followed Allen in. Somehow, even in the dark room, Allen managed to not stub his toes on anything though a part of him was cursing for not packing earlier. They'd probably laugh at him in the morning but honestly it didn't seem too important now. He just slowly waded to his bed, to the small side table to turn on the bedside lamp.
He really didn't know what to make of Kanda's expression, just that he could maybe kind of see why he was so popular to the general populace. Sharp cheekbones, shadowed just right in the dim lighting, broad shoulders that led down to a well defined muscular chest, stomach and--oh. He jerked his eyes back up and mumbled out, “We--you should probably change. I--sorry, what was I thinking, we've been out all day--” Would Kanda want to shower now or was it too late to? Did Allen smell? God, why didn't he think of that? Though now they'd run the risk of waking everyone up with the creaking pipes--
Suddenly he felt a hand on his head ruffling his hair, “Oi, you're thinking too hard. I can take one in the morning.” Allen hesitantly glanced up, “And unless you have shit that fits me in here I can sleep shirtless.”
So he didn't want to leave?
Allen swallowed thickly and tried desperately to pretend his face wasn't as warm as it was, “W-Well okay then. Let me just change out of my shirt and then we can--lie down?” It occurred to him then that if Kanda had been a bit more aware of...everything, then what might this look like to him? He'd learned a year or two ago that Kanda didn't necessarily care, at least about….certain things. Like gender.
Allen was still trying to figure that out for himself, but when he backed up and nearly sent the lamp careening off the table, well suffice to say Kanda pressing up against his back and half pinning him to the table helped make his mind up.
“Be careful.” Talking in his ear definitely didn't help. Did help. Allen was confused now but his ears were probably red and even in the low lighting it was probably obvious.
“R-Right.” Allen stuttered out, stumbling a bit when Kanda righted them both, “I'll. Um. Find a shirt now.”
Kanda said nothing, only raising an eyebrow and walking to the bed where he--yes, he was stripping off his shirt and tossing it in the ‘dirty clothes’ pile Allen created, along with his jeans--
Oh he was staring again.
“Well? If you're just going to stare get over here.” Sometimes Kanda had no tact, but at least Allen knew how to respond to that. With a huff, and doing exactly what Kanda didn't suggest. He even took his time picking out a shirt before sliding off his dirty shirt, khaki shorts, and sliding on his fresh sleep shirt before making his way back to the bed. Whatever mood from earlier had not necessarily disappeared, but at least he could breathe a little easier and seeing Kanda in his bed wasn't as earth shattering.
In fact he looked kind of comfortable, even on the clearly old mattress.
So Allen poked his side and said, “Scoot over.”
For once Kanda listened with very little complaining. They'd done this before--sharing beds. It was a necessity after all, if they wanted to sleep over for the night and not sleep on a couch. Allen didn't mind this, even if it was a little different too. For one, Kanda usually never faced him in his sleep, and for two normally neither of them slept shirtless for fear of a parent barging in.
So yes, okay that was distracting.
“You're staring again.” Kanda hummed, a small smirk on his face.
Immediately Allen pouted, “I was just thinking.”
“About?” Kanda prodded his leg with his foot, but it wasn't enough to be considered a kick so really Allen couldn't complain.
But then what could he really tell Kanda what he'd been thinking about? Would that really be a bad thing? It wasn't the most awkward thing, no, he could think of several moments that were possibly worse--
Which had him thinking of those, of how even through it all they stayed friends, became friends. That was what this trip was about, right? Thinking about that, and how much--
“I'm going to miss you.”
That clearly hadn't been what Kanda expected to hear, judging from the look on his face, but then something happened. Something soft, but resolute, Allen could see it in Kanda's eyes just as he could see that smirk soften to a smile. He really was gorgeous when he smiled, maybe Allen was lucky to see it, he knew, it meant Kanda trusted him.
So maybe when he scooted closer Allen shouldn't have been so surprised, this trip showed him a lot, after all. Maybe this was just a natural progression of that? This friendship, the memories, yeah he might not see Kanda as much over the next few years, and what if he goes out of state for university himself? If he went at all? That sent a jolt through him, and that's when he saw it too--the same reflection back in Kanda's eyes. He wasn't normally a sap, so Allen knew he'd probably always remember them:
“I'll miss you too. Doesn't mean we can't still see where this goes.” Then he leaned forward and pressed his forehead against Allen's and added, “Now sleep. Our flight's early tomorrow.”
Allen felt himself smile, “Okay.”

Hey @emoqueee!!! I’m your dgm secret santa!
@dgmsecretsanta2k17
Prompts: "subtle yullen fluff writing omg. But also just a cute portrait of a single character would also be nice (i know this is the number one spot i dont mind either!) "2 characters interacting!"
I think I managed both subtle yullen and fluff?? I don’t know. I’m too tired to tell right now. Also, I hope you like dogs. Because I gave them a dog.
Allen was sitting on the back porch of Komui and Lenalee’s house, and watching Kanda garden while an enormous puppy tried to “help”, and for the first time in a while Allen was truly content.
The sun was shining brightly golden in a sunset glow. It made the scene feel like something from a fairy tale, if fairy tale characters were in the habit of swearing loudly and viciously as they tried to stop a dog almost as big as them from destroying all the plants. Despite his language, Kanda was gentle as he repeatedly pulled the puppy away from whatever destruction she was wreaking.
It wasn’t long before he gave up and turned to Allen, who was watching them with a wide, stretching grin. ‘Your dog is a menace, beansprout. Take her away before I kill you for bringing her here.’
Allen waved his hand lazily. ‘You don’t mean that,’ he said. ‘And Muffin’s just trying to be helpful. You might as well let her.’
Muffin’s tail thumped against the ground when she heard her name.
‘Maybe her “help” is useful for someone you, you one-armed bastard, but these vegetables are supposed to be used for our food, not some mongrel’s playground.’ Kanda was glaring at Allen, but while he restrained Muffin it was also possible to see that he was trying to sneakily pet her.
It was cute to see someone as grumpy as Kanda being a dog person. It made Allen want to laugh at him, and leave her there because it was obvious neither dog nor grump truly hated it. But...
Food. He could not let her ruin the food. Allen stood up so suddenly that he felt a little dizzy. ‘Muffin!’ he called, holding out his hand. She perked up immediately, and bounded out of Kanda’s arms, her tongue lolling out into a sweet doggy grin. She was smart enough to realise that knocking into people was bad, so she slowed down just before crashing into him, and tried to wash his face in her excitement instead. The drool got everywhere.
‘Even now after all this time, when you don’t even have your parasitic innocence making you have to eat so much, food is still the most important thing to you.’ Kanda followed behind her, rolling his eyes. Apparently being close to the dog was more important than fixing the vegetable garden.
‘That’s not true!’ Allen protested, wiping dog slobber off his face with his sleeve. ‘Money is important too! And my friends!’
‘So what? Food and money are more important than us?’ Kanda flopped down next to him and Muffin, somehow making his casual movements look graceful. His hair was let down and he wore a smirk as his expression. He looked beautiful in the lighting. It really was only the lighting that made Allen think that. Probably.
‘Oh? You consider yourself my friend, Kanda? That’s news to me.’ Allen was smirking too, only stopping to pop a sweet into his mouth from the open bag he had on his other side.
‘Fuck you,’ was Kanda’s only reply. He leant back on both hands and stared up at the sky above their heads and he smiled just a little when Muffin dropped down and rested her snout on his lap, watching him imploringly with her big dark eyes.
Allen was close to popping another sweet in his mouth when Kanda smiled, and he froze instead, his hand with the sweet just centimetres from his mouth.
‘What are you doing?’ Kanda frowned when he noticed Allen staring at him.
Allen tore his gaze away and went back to munching, saying nothing.
‘The beansprout’s being weird,’ Kanda told Muffin, his voice gravely serious. ‘I’m sorry you have such a weird owner.’
Muffin let out a whine in response and snuggled closer to him.
‘Even after all this time, you can’t be bothered calling my by name.’
‘That’s because beansprout suits you better, beansprout.’
Allen wanted to punch Kanda for that, but didn’t for fear of dislodging or upsetting Muffin, so he settled on petting her instead. She was covered in dirt from playing in the garden, and Allen’s hand came away dirty. She wasn’t so dirty as to need a bath, so Allen decided that he would steal Kanda’s hairbrush and to brush it all out.
‘Where’d you even find her?’ Kanda wondered.
‘Ah.’ Allen frowned and didn’t look at Kanda. ‘I’ve said before that I tried joining a circus again for a bit, right?’
‘Huh? Yeah. Were they stupid enough there to mistake her for a circus elephant or something?’
‘I don’t think anyone would be that stupid,’ Allen said drily. ‘But no, she was the ringmaster’s dog. He didn’t treat her very well though, and…’ Allen shrugged his shoulders, and tried to keep any emotion leaking out from his voice. ‘It reminded me of when I was a child. Of the original Allen, and everything else too.’ Even now Allen didn’t like to talk about back then.
As if sensing some distress, Muffin stood up and licked his face. Her nose was wet and cold against his cheek and she ended up getting some of his hair in her mouth.
Allen scratched her gently behind her ears, and laughed. It was half genuine.
Kanda was watching them, looking even more annoyed than usual, but it wasn’t Allen or Muffin he was annoyed at. ‘I hope you punched him.’
‘Of course!’ Allen said, indignant. ‘He was a bastard. He even told me that I should be a part of a freak show instead of a clown because I only had one arm. And then I stole his dog.’ He smiled at Muffin who sat on him in response. Being a very giant newfoundland dog, she was very heavy, and her great big paws dug in hard.
Allen had trouble pushing her off with one hand, but Kanda came to the rescue and distracted her with one of the dog toys that had been left everywhere around the entire place in the few days that Allen had come to stay with the Lee siblings.
‘Pathetic, beansprout, and you used to call yourself an exorcist.’ Kanda didn’t look at him, too busy starting a game of tug of war with Muffin, who boofed happily.
‘Hey! I haven’t been an exorcist for years now! You try doing everything one handed.’
‘I have lost an arm before, if you don’t remember.’ Kanda’s face screwed up in concentration as Muffin tried to pull his arms out of their sockets.
‘Oh,’ said Allen, who had forgot. ‘Sorry.’
‘Whatever. So what are you going to do now, join yet another circus?’
‘I don’t know.’
‘Then stay here.’
‘What?’
‘I said stay here,’ said Kanda, finally retrieving the toy and throwing it for Muffin to chase after. ‘Lenalee misses you whenever you leave, and it’s not like you ever look all that happy about what you do when you’re gone.’
Kanda was sort of right, but Allen didn’t want to admit that. ‘You’re sure you’re not the one missing me instead of Lenalee?’
‘What?’ Kanda’s eyes went wide, and his face was all confused and surprised and maybe angry and a bunch of other words Allen didn’t bother with right then. ‘Why would I…? Who the hell would miss you, beansprout?’
‘As you just said before, Lenalee. Oh, and also you. You’re not very in touch with your feelings, you know that, Kanda?’
Kanda grabbed Allen by his shirt, and Allen might be worried right then if Kanda still had his mugen. Luckily, he didn’t, so Allen grinned mockingly at him instead.
Kanda gritted his teeth and was about to say something, to turn their talk into a proper argument, when Muffin returned, bounding up the stairs and shoving herself between their bodies.
She whined pitifully and stared at them. Don’t fight, her big dark eyes seemed to say.
‘Okay,’ Allen said after a moment. ‘No fighting. Got it.’
‘I suppose I can stop myself from cutting the beansprout’s head off if it keeps Muffin happy,’ Kanda agreed.
‘What was that, bastard?’
‘Fuck off,’ Kanda replied. ‘And don’t think I didn’t notice that you ignored the second part of what I said.’
Allen wondered if dinner would be ready soon.
‘Hey. Don’t ignore me.’
Allen wondered what there would be for pudding.
‘Hey, Muffin. Do you think your owner died? I think you should bite him to check.’
‘Kanda! Don’t be such a bad influence!’ Allen slung his arm around Muffin’s neck and told her not to listen to a thing Kanda said, because it was all rubbish, okay? Muffin just panted contentedly.
‘So you were listening,’ Kanda said.
‘Shut up.’
‘Then tell me why you always leave even though it always makes you miserable. It’s not like you have to, idiot.’
‘Fuck off,’ Allen muttered.
‘Allen.’
Kanda’s voice shocked Allen. Hearing his name in Kanda’s voice shocked Allen. It made him shudder. He was a little bit relieved then, that Kanda almost never used it. Because it would be weird if he reacted like he did then every time it was used.
It also showed how serious he was.
‘Are you going to punch me if I don’t say anything?’ Allen asked dully, keeping his attention focused entirely on playing with Muffin’s shaggy black fur.
‘So you do have a brain.’ Kanda leant against the porch railing, and he watched him, his eyes level and never looking away. The sensation of being watched was strong and impossible to ignore.
Allen fidgeted, silent still before giving up.
‘Is there really a place for me here?’ Allen asked in a small voice.
‘You seriously have to ask that?’ Kanda stared. But it was a different stare than before. Like he was just baffled more than anything. Oh. That was probably exactly what he was feeling.
Allen fidgeted, uncomfortable.
Kanda’s confusion lasted a few moments more before he rolled his eyes and made that irritated ‘tch’ noise he sometimes did. ‘There’s already way too many people staying here and they all love you for some reason. There’s no way they wouldn’t want you here.’
There was silence while Allen digested those words. Then he started talking again, ‘I feel like I can’t stay still. Like I have to be out there doing something. But I can’t be an exorcist any longer, and for so long that was my reason to keep living. I don’t know what to do anymore.’ It was a small relief to say that out loud.
‘Why do you have to do anything?’
‘Never stop walking,’ Allen said. ‘Keep moving forward.’ He shook his head. ‘Even now I don’t want to abandon those words.’
‘Then stay here while you figure out what to do next, idiot.’ Kanda spoke like what he was saying was completely obvious. And maybe it was.
‘Huh?’
‘It’s not like you have to be moving around to actually do anything. And besides, after all that time we spent fighting, it’s all right to take a break, for a while at least.’ Kanda was staring at the horizon, where the sun was disappearing.
‘Do you want me to stay, Kanda?’
‘Everyone wants you to fucking stay, beansprout. Even Lavi misses you whenever he turns up.’ Kanda wasn’t looking Allen in the eyes now, and it irritated him.
‘No. Do you want me stay?’
Kanda said nothing, uncomfortably looking anywhere but at Allen.
‘If you tell me you want me to stay, then I will, for a while at least.’ Allen said it seriously. A break… time to relax, and laugh with friends… it sounded nice.
‘Stay,’ Kanda finally said, after a minute or two, his voice quiet.
‘What? Kanda, you might have to repeat that. I didn’t hear you.’
‘What, are you deaf as well as annoying now?’ Kanda scowled at him.
Kanda was still grumbling when Allen stood up. Muffin cocked her head, confused as he moved. Allen sat again, but this time right next to Kanda, leaving no space between their bodies. Kanda was frowning, obviously confused by Allen’s actions, yet he didn’t move away when Allen leant his head on his shoulder. Muffin padded after him and curled her large body against their backs.
‘What are you doing, beansprout?’ Kanda asked, voice wary.
‘Nothing,’ said Allen. ‘I was just thinking that the sun sets so early these days, and that it might be nice to spend whatever time there is enjoying myself.’
Kanda sighed, and didn’t offer any reply. Instead he curled an arm around Allen, and that was enough of an answer itself. Dinner would be soon, food to be eaten, and friends happy to see him, but for now Allen was content to stay still.

elegy for a broken heart
Fandom: D.Gray-man
Rating: G
Relationships: Kanda Yuu/Allen Walker
Kanda had failed Allen once in Paris. He wouldn't again.
The glide as Mugen slid free was obscenely loud, but Kanda squeezed his eyes shut, pulling the sword entirely out. With a flick of his wrist he gripped the handle securely, blade now positioned towards him.
He had promised, he had sworn, he had pledged an oath of blood to God and Innocence and to the boy in his arms.
He couldn't back down now, no matter the ache in his heart.
Read here
A/N: Following this idea that Allen, Johnny, Kanda, and (maybe?) Tiedoll travel together after the current events in 226. Of course, neither the Noah nor the Order are going to let them escape that easily.

Paint Under Your Skin
So this Body-Painting Therapy idea hit me in the face and my fingers were itching to write about it, then Yullen got involved and I somehow ended crying in the middle of the night with 3.7k words of this ~(´`)~
Body-Painting Therapy basically consists in painting over someone else’s body or over your own to help calm someone or yourself, it’s not like a real medical treatment, though it’s recommended by a few therapists since it’s very soothing (I’ve tried it a few times on my arms and it really is).
(I wanna thank nea-writes for letting me know of my few mistakes! I tried to fix the ones I found here but I apologize if you find anything else I didn’t catch! English is not my first language TuT)
So…if you’re reading this I hope you enjoy it! (´∀`)
Summary: In which Kanda forgets Thursday’s are for Body-Painting Therapy and ends up having to work with Allen, the new art student.
Pairing: Yullen [there’s a brief mention of Lavilena and Marie/Miranda (idk their ship name ;-;) ]
Rating: General Audiences
You can read it here or on AO3 (though I have to fix some mistakes on the AO3 version TuT)
He hadn’t remembered. He should’ve remembered. He turned to go back the way he came before they noticed him. Before he noticed him. His hand was about to make contact with the door handle, he wanted to get out of there as soon as posible and- “Yuu!” Too late. His shoulders tensed at the voice and he took a deep breath before turning on his heel to acknowledge the owner. Tiedoll was fast-walking towards him, soft smile on his face, his hair barely being held up by a few paint brushes and hands tainted with a few splotches of paint. “It’s been a while, I’m glad you came.” Kanda ignored the smear of blue paint right below his eyebrow and instead tried to show the old man his most indifferent look. Which doesn’t work because this is Tiedoll he’s talking about. He let out the huge breath he didn’t know he was holding and turned his head slightly towards the door. “I didn’t remember today was Thursday, I’m leaving.” He turned completely in the direction of the door with the intention of getting out of there as soon as possible. He should know by now things are not easy with Tiedoll though. “Wait!” Had it been another person telling him that, Kanda would’ve just ignored them and continued his way, he has no idea why Tiedoll’s voice has the opposite effect on him. ‘Maybe that’s because he’s been my art teacher for a while and because he….’ Yeah, that must be. Kanda doesn’t turn around though, he knew Tiedoll knew he had Kanda’s whole attention. “There’s a new student and, I know you don’t like Thursdays, but he really needs it and I think you’re the right person to work with him…” Kanda’s grip tightened around the door handle and he cursed himself at least five times once he realized there was a poster pasted to the glass door announcing today’s class motive. Apparently he was too distracted to notice it before he entered. See, there’s nothing wrong with Thursdays for Kanda, he actually enjoyed them since he had more time for his art works and gardening, the problem was, Thursday’s art class was a big no-no for him. A fact he forgot in his artistic haste. He peeked over his shoulder just to met with Tiedoll’s soft smile and warm eyes and he knew he was fucked. He had no problem telling other people to fuck off but Tiedoll was one of the few exceptions. He groaned and closed his eyes, allows himself a few seconds to curse the art god that got him so riled up, before turning completely towards the old man. “Just for today. I’m not doing this ever again.” Tiedoll’s smile only widened with that and he nodded before turning to go back towards the front of the class. “I’ll go call him, your station is ready as always.” Kanda let out a long sigh before moving to his place in the left corner of the room, the wooden table and chair remained in the same position from the last time he was there. He took a seat and looked around the room. If he had to be honest, he really liked this place, his station was located a few feet away from the others, just beneath one of the high windows and he had a perfect view of the whole room. It’s not big, barely fitting 15 people by the most, he noticed there were already another 5 pairs of people working together around the place, each pair in a different station. Kanda realized, once his eyes moved to the front, there was another similar poster to the one on the glass door pasted to the front wall. The words ‘Body-Painting Therapy’ reminding him of his huge mistake. He glared at the poster. He had no idea where Tiedoll got the idea from, according to him some people simply needed the contact and it was a different way of painting, so all in all he could say it was a win-win situation, Kanda understood that. Given his first and only experience though, Kanda didn’t understand why people liked it. That one time Kanda had been the canvas, it all had been good until the other student decided to start asking questions Kanda would rather not answer, given his position he couldn’t move so he remained quiet and completely tense to the point his shoulders ached, while feeling extremely uncomfortable. Now he was being the painter though, and even if physical contact was not his thing, he guessed he could at least try helping this one person. He turned to look at the people working around him, Lena was a few feet away from his table working with a tall auburn haired man, he could see the freckles running down his back from where he was sitting and the palette in Lena’s hands showed a wide arrange of autumn colors. Lena turned his way and the surprised expression on her face almost made him scoff, not even 5 seconds later she smiled at him though. Kanda returned the smile before moving onto the next pair. Marie was chatting with a curly haired woman while she worked with something on his arm, he noticed how the usually shaking hands worked with confident strokes over the skin. Kanda didn’t recognize the other pairs so he opted to look at the ceiling, the soft chit-chatting running through the room along with the smell of paint being enough to calm him a little. “Uhm…excuse me?” Yeah, that was just his luck, just when he was starting to relax. He turned towards the owner of the voice, a young man with silvery-white hair down to his shoulders and a long albeit thin scar running down his left eye, ending a bit above his jawline. Kanda raised an eyebrow, letting him now he was listening. “Do you know where I can find Kanda Yuu?” Now that made him raise both his eyebrows. “You’re speaking to him.” The young man’s eyes, which were previously running around the place, suddenly snapped back to look at him. “Ah, my name’s-” “Allen!” Tiedoll’s sudden voice made both of them turn in his direction, the old man coming their way with a big smile on his face, and once he was close enough he gave the other man, Allen, a quick hug. “I’m glad you’re here.” “I’m glad to be here, thanks for the…opportunity.” There’s something in the way he smiled that gave Kanda an odd feeling. He had no time to dwell on it however because the next moment Tiedoll has a hand over his shoulder. “Ah I see you already met…anyway, Kanda this is Allen Walker, Cross Marian’s adoptive son.” Kanda recognized the name, Cross Marian was an old friend of Tiedoll, or at least that’s how he referred to him. Tiedoll then turned to look at the shorter man. “Allen, this is Kanda, my best student and son, and the one you’ll be working with today.” Kanda rolled his eyes at the word ‘son’, Tiedoll always omitted the 'adoptive’, not that it was necessary though; both of them where like black and white. He said some other things he didn’t bother to listen, something along the lines of 'have fun’ and 'call if you need me’ before sending Kanda a glance that said 'do your best’ and going back to his place at the front. As soon as Tiedoll left though, the shorter man’s anxiousness seemed to appear. He wouldn’t meet Kanda’s eyes and he had started fidgeting with the edge of his shirt, his hair fell over his face and if he had to be honest Kanda hadn’t taken this shorter man as the shy type. Though he was starting to get irritated. “Oi Beansprout,” that got the other’s attention, brows furrowing at the nickname. Kanda didn’t even know where that came from, the word simply appeared in his mind and traveled down to his mouth. “we don’t have all day. You’re gonna have to take your shirt off.” That got the shorter man even more tense, which got Kanda confused, yet he didn’t ask. Even if Kanda were to work with the arms instead of the back or torso, the shirt needed to come off (though if he were to be honest he’d rather work with the back, that’d give him more space). He was about to say something else when the man in front of him took a deep breath and pulled the shirt up and off. Kanda couldn’t have stopped the sharp intake of air even if he had wanted to. Even under the sunlight filtering through the window, the skin before him was of a pale, almost sick, tone. Kanda could see the thin veins running along Allen’s back, the skin was just so pale…'Like being washed by the moon’ he thought for a moment. However, that wasn’t what got his attention the most, but the many silvery lines adorning the body before him. Kanda had never stopped to think much about scars, mainly because he was not familiar with them with his body being quite the fast healer. Allen’s body however, carried so many of them it almost depicted some kind of abstract work of art. Short and long, thin and thick, his torso showed a wide number of scars, it was almost unnerving. There was a particular long and thick scar, the faded pink contrasting hugely against his skin, running from his hipbone up to the last upper rib, the still ragged skin made Kanda’s hand itch. But he had no right to question, everyone carried their own secrets and he was not about to nose into this man’s life. “Is it okay to work on your back? It can be anywhere from your upper body, though that’s the easiest and widest place to work…” Kanda moved his attention to the wide collection of paint over his table, waiting for the other’s answer. “Uhm, yeah it’s okay.” It was then Kanda understood it was no shyness showing on Allen’s face. It was…shame? Embarrassment? Kanda couldn’t decide. Regardless of which was it, Kanda knew the feeling came from the idea of being exposed like this. “Take a seat then,” Allen does as he’s told, turning the vacant chair in front of Kanda’s before sitting down, his back towards Kanda and his arms crossed over the back of the chair. “if you get tired or need a break at any moment just say it.” Kanda then turned back again towards his 'canvas’. Kanda wasn’t surprised to find Allen’s back just as adorned with scars as his front, though that didn’t make it any less astounding. Back here the long and thin scars were more, with a few shorter and thicker ones scattered around, none of them following a particular pattern, some of them criss-crossed while other ones simply stretched along each other. The few scars sunlight reached shimmered in a dull silver color. Over some places, small groups of freckles were spread, so pale Kanda was sure if they weren’t grouped he wouldn’t even have noticed they were there. Kanda could feel that unscratchable itching that brought him here in a haze to begin with, slowly making its way under his skin. He got the paint he would need ready, his mind already running wild with an image to do, a wide variety of blues and grays along with white sitting over the table he had moved aside. Kanda moved his own chair closer and very carefully placed a hand over Allen’s nape, moving his hair aside, the body before him tensing immediately, and pushed down softly as to indicate for him to lower his head and arch his back a bit more towards him, Allen did so. Kanda grabbed a medium-sized brush and dipped it in one of the many bottles of blue paint, moving then to start working. The first strokes were slow, the skin underneath reacting with shivers and goosebumps, he heard the sharp intake of air coming from ahead and watched the ribs expanding once Allen took a deep breath trying to relax. His backbones slightly shifted with every tremor of his body and only then Kanda noticed how much they showed, just like his ribs and shoulder blades. 'Does he even eat properly?’ He pushed that sudden thought to the back of his mind and kept painting. He worked alternating between short and long strokes, slow and quick, he moved the brush from side to side, from ribs to ribs and up towards his shoulders. Even though Kanda was being careful he could still see the tension in Allen’s body, his shoulder blades kept shaking, his shoulders seemed strained and occasional shivers made the skin tremble. Kanda kept painting with his right hand while he carefully brought the left one up to move a few strands of hair that had fallen over Allen’s back again, his hand accidentally brushing against the first bones of Allen’s spine, making the man jolt in surprise. And then a sudden urge to touch assaulted Kanda’s body. He felt that familiar itching moving to his fingers, screaming for him to touch, and feel, and more. He tried pushing the odd feeling away, it made him feel annoyed with himself, but it only got worse the more he kept painting. So he gave in, later on he could blame it on his bothering artistic self. He ran the pads of his fingers over the bumps of the shorter man’s spine, down to the middle, he heard a soft yelp and very slowly spread his hands over the painted skin. He felt more than heard the deep breath that followed, ribs expanding under his hands, shoulder blades moving slightly closer and he could see Allen’s fist tighten over the chair. Kanda slowly started to move his hands, applying pressure with his fingertips, sliding his fingers softly until his palms were back against the skin, and then repeating the process. He went up, occasionally slipping his fingers through the spaces between every bump of his spine, he reached the nape and then pressed with his thumb, quickly sliding it down against every single bump. He took a glance to the man sitting before him only to find him with his head hanging low over his shoulders, he took the soft sighs as a sign to keep going. He slid his hands to the side, over the ribs, fitting his fingers against the spaces between and then running only his fingertips over them in quick movements, bringing them back again to the center. He moved to the shoulder blades, using his palms to cover them with paint and running his thumbs along the bone to spread it. Every movement was delicate, spreading and mixing the paint with no excess of pressure, Kanda could even feel now and then a few bumps of ragged skin hiding under the paint. He kept working with the blues, applying them over the whole area while creating lights and shadows with the different tones. Kanda worked like this for a while, in complete silence, his mind utterly focused on the skin before his eyes, until the tension finally eased from Allen’s body. He could feel the other man’s body slowly relaxing as he started working with the white and gray colors. Kanda’s own mind and body started to relax as well, the itching under his skin to paint, to create, finally subsiding to a pleasant hum. Kanda didn’t even realize he had lost the track of time. His mind had completely closed off any other thoughts that weren’t related to the skin beneath his hands or the work taking form by his fingers. He started to work with the grays and white, slowly tracing his fingers over the blue paint so they wouldn’t mix, giving soft pats with his fingertips that made Allen’s back tremble. Kanda wondered if this was the feeling people came for, the detachment from reality, the connection between one’s mind and other’s body, both working together to create something. Kanda actually felt…good, and he hated it. This wasn’t supposed to feel so comforting. He wanted to kick the shorter man for making him feel like this. He kept painting instead. (Meanwhile, Allen felt as if he was slowly melting under Kanda’s hands, completely pliable to whatever the man decided to do. There was something extremely unnerving about letting someone not only see but also work on your most vulnerable side, letting a usually hidden part of yourself exposed for them to do as they pleased, but it was also very thrilling. Allen had expected for Kanda to look at him with pity as everyone who had seen had done, however, the strong look in those eyes only showed understanding and just, maybe, a bit of respect. He felt so relieved. And when the brushes had finally given way to those hands, Allen could finally comprehend the magic of this therapy. Kanda’s hands were so warm, unconsciously working all the muscles on his back to a relaxing state, the paint was cold every time he applied more, but the difference in temperature only soothed his skin even more. He could feel those fingers gracing over the sensitive silvery lines and bumps, never halting, not even once had he felt those hands doubt on their way. Allen felt accepted under those hands. He loved it.) By the time Kanda was done with the last finger taps of gray paint over white one, the room was a lot quieter. He glanced around and realized two of the five pairs where already gone, the other three were starting to clean. He noticed Lena’s work, a beautiful piece of art depicting a forest in autumn, bright reds and oranges contrasting against the tanned skin of the tall man, Lena had applied a light layer of paint over the leaves, allowing the freckles to show slightly and creating some kind of texture. All in all it was an amazing work. He was too far away to pick details from Marie’s skin work, from his place all he could see where birds, of many kinds and colors, covering both his arms and over his shoulders. Kanda turned his attention back to his own living canvas, the shorter man had his face resting sideways against his arms, eyes closed and completely relaxed. Kanda took a deep breath and stood up. 'Oi don’t fall asleep,’ the moment those words were out of his mouth, a single grayish-blue eye opened to stare at him. Kanda took a rag from his table and started cleaning. 'We’re done. There’s a mirror right there,’ he pointed to the corner of the room where a ceiling to floor mirror rested. 'and there’s a faucet outside for you to wash your back.’ He watched Allen stand up, stretching his body a little before he made his way towards the mirror. Kanda couldn’t help but watch the movement of muscle beneath paint, feeling very intrigued which then made him feel like kicking himself. But what could he say? He was very proud of his work. The image resting on Allen’s back depicted a lake in the middle of the night, the huge full moon resting above the water creating quite the show of lights and shadows. There were so many shades of blue it was basically impossible to know where one finished and the next one started, the huge moon resting between his shoulder blades was a perfect mix of white and gray, and the clouds laying over his shoulders almost seemed to pop out of the skin. Kanda had managed to allow the scars to show, some of them mixed with the moon’s own painted scars, other ones rested on the water giving it the effect of movement, and a few of them were simply part of the deep blue sky. Judging by the way Allen’s eyes went wide like saucers once he managed to take a peek on the mirror, Kanda knew the other man liked the work as well. So yeah, he allowed the huge wave of proudness to wash over him. A huge smug grin made its way on Allen’s face once he caught Kanda staring through the mirror. “You are actually as good as I heard.” Kanda glared at him through the mirror before bringing his attention back to the brushes he was cleaning. “Hell yeah I am,” Had he been looking up he would’ve noticed the now soft smile gracing Allen’s face and the way he slowly traced his fingers over his painted ribs. “you can go wash outside now.” Next time Kanda looked up Allen was wearing the most shit-eating grin he had ever seen. The shorter man moved towards the chair he had dropped his shirt over and no, Kanda was definitely not watching the way his front muscles flexed. Definitely not. “Nah, I’m leaving it for a while.” He put his shirt on after checking the paint was dry enough. Kanda raised an eyebrow at this and Allen answered back with a shrug. “I’ll wash it off at home,” and then he was moving closer to Kanda. Too close for his liking. Too close Kanda could now pick up the faint scent of honey coming from Allen. Too close he could now see there were also small group of freckles running over his collarbones. Too fucking close. “I’ll see you next week…Kan-da~” Kanda scowled at that. So Allen didn’t know this was a one-time thing, better fix that now. He opened his mouth to tell him, the words over his tongue ready, but no sound came out. He closed his mouth. Then there was a huge grin in front of his face, and then Allen was gone. For god knows how many times this day, Kanda felt like kicking himself. There was no way he was coming back, this had been a huge mistake he was not planning to repeat. The huge knowing-smile Tiedoll was throwing at him once he turned around only made him feel like burning the place down. He was not coming back. This will be his one and only time doing this. (Except it wasn’t. When next week came around Kanda 'forgot’ it was Thursday again. Allen was already waiting for him.)

It's Christmas Soon (will have 2 chapters)
“It’s Kanda.”
“Well, nice to fucking meet you, Kanda.” A pause. “And thanks.”
They got to their destination by then and Kanda freed Allen from his handcuffs before crowding him inside one of the cells. Allen’s eyes on him were not thankful but they were also not hostile, just—wary.
Kanda left without a word after closing him in. A few minutes later he came back with a bag of potato chips and a chocolate-covered waffle from a vending machine. It was very late at night already. He also knew no one would be very interested in going out of their way to get Allen a meal after all the trouble he caused.
The potato chips didn’t fly very well, but the waffle did and Kanda managed to hit Allen squarely in the forehead.
“Hey—!”

Ok so I've been stalking your blog for the past couple of hrs after seeing your TadaAi posts (I'm drowning in the period drama that is this ship) and I find you ship Tododeku and rinharu (god i can't stand bakudeku and makoharu) and seems like we share a lot of our views on fandom and ships probably because we're older (I'm 22). Followed and looking forward to your input in the future!
Also you might've given me the motivation to finish watching Free! XD
Hehe yay, please, we need more ppl in our “house of oldies”, make yourself at home lol. And we share a lot of ships?! Even better <3
I knooow, I can’t believe we’ve got a gay “master who fell in love with his servant” ship in the anime, just what I needed for my idiotic collection lmao
But also these two have too much going on between them, so much wasted potential in my opinion, it’d be so interesting to explore (but sadly no xD), they were still the only interesting thing for me lolz. I love complicated morons, who became the victims of a huge unrequited requited love misunderstanding, bc they’re insecure morons lmao and they just have 2 of my fav ships vibes, so it’s probably mostly this haha.
Oh, I’m inputting *wink wink*, can’t wait to finish the vid, I’m having too much fun with it. I’ve just literally spent several minutes trying to get whether I’ve put Tadashi’s sexy mole in the right distance from his eye in the “him moaning on the table” manip lolz. What can I say... I picked the best hobby, with all the support I’m getting with my vids, I’m living a dream xD
You know, I think I’ve said it before, but when it comes to bakudeku, I at least understand what ppl hope to see there and why, but like.. it’s just not happenning. Also imagining Bakugou lovingly hugging Midoriya is just so OOC I start laughing all the time. And whatever ppl say, in any ship whether they’re enemies or rivals or anything, if you can’t imagine them being tender with each other, smth is not right in my opinion. Also once again, who needs idiotic bleating Midoriya, idk. I’m just tired of the endless “die, deku/out of my way” yelling, I like watching Bakugou going to parties and amusement parks and doing silly stuff, too. Like I’ve said before, pride won’t ever let him change the way he behaves with Midoriya, even when they’re doing “great”. If he was the one, it wouldn’t have mattered, no matter how tough you are, and it wouldn’t take that long. I also don’t think they’re that kind of relationship, like they move each other for sure, sometimes, yeah (not always in a good way tho), but be together in a relationships? Can’t imagine that. Like not all rivals have the rivals to lovers dynamic, no matter what ppl say. But I get the shipping, bc 1stly these two are playing too huge of a role in each other’s lives, 2ndly Midoriya is obsessed with him and Bakugou obsessed with him too (just in a bad way lmao) and 3rd ppl want that “enemies to lovers” dynamic, since many love it (me included, when it done right and progresses right), so they’re trying to write that “to lovers” bridge, that just doesn’t fit here in my opinion, simply bc Bakugou won’t be soft with Midoriya, like ever in a way, you’d want, and I don’t think it’s possible for them to go there.
Tododeku on the other hand, 1stly they also play too huge of a role in each other’s lives, 2ndly Midoriya is obsessed with him too and Todoroki is lovingly obsessed with him in return, 3rdly they are also rivals to lovers, and I have no problem imagining the second part, it won’t be OOC, 4thly Midoriya when he’s with Todoroki is my fav Midoriya, he’s happy, he is cocooned and he’s badass af (and like when he told Endeavor to fuck off or yelled at Todoroki “the fuck are u doing?” xD are still the best), 5thly Midoriya forgets about Bakugou, when he’s with Todoroki a lot and it’s just funny to me, 6thly they healed each other so nicely, I can’t not be into that, 7thly when they’re together I have like 0 worries, idk I’m like “he will catch him” anyways haha, Bakudeku just don’t give me this vibe. It’s like yeah, they won’t let each other die, but it’s always this chaos of “out of my way”, “I don’t want your help” and “let me punch you before I punch the villain” that I’m just “oh for god’s sake, pls bring in Kirishima and Todoroki so we could just go home, it could’ve been solved in 2 minutes” lmao. Etc, etc.
Tododeku just have too many winning points over bakudeku for me, same with kiribaku over bakudeku, even tho I 100% get bakudeku as a ship ofc. Also idk whether things would be different if Todoroki wouldn’t exist in the equation, but the moment I saw that s2 scene where Bakugou started yelling and Todoroki just ignored him and was like “was Midoriya always this good?”, there was no going back to me XD. Like they both obviously see that Midoriya is wonderful, but only one reacted to that in a way that I wanted. And I’m a sucker for the ships who don’t give a fuck and like “yeah, I find him amazing and everyone should know that”. Todoroki is also one of those guys, who if you give them the much needed love, they’ll return it tenfold with a forever devotion. And all of my fav ships are like that: Yullen, Rinharu, Mikayuu, Wangxian, Akakuro, etc. They’re like “well, I ain’t an idiot to let someone this precious go”, you know lol
On the other hand, when it comes to Kirishima, Bakugou can do all kind of ridiculous thing I wouldn’t imagine he would do to keep him or make him happy, you know. Kirishima is also the only one, who can put his arm around Bakugou without it being cut off, so I don’t make the rules here lol.
So it’s not like I can’t stand bakudeku, more of like can’t imagine this work, to me it’s easier to imagine todobaku in a relationships, but not bakudeku lolz.
But when it comes to makoharu, I just have a huge problem with it and I will never get it. Bc they don’t bring anything good in each other like AT ALL, I don’t even understand what kind of relationships this is from their shipper point of view; they give each other nothing, and one of them is totally in love with someone else and wants a future with him. And that someone also head over heals with him and also wants a future with him. And I hate how 99,9 % of mh fans don’t give a fuck about Haru or Rin whatsoever and just ignore their character’s everything. Bc Makoto. I’m also like if you love him so much, the fuck would you want him to be with Haru anyways, dude doesn’t reciprocate, like at all. I’m at confusion, like name good points of this ship and what good can they do for each other characteristically. There is none, it’s like a damn swamp. Like usually I can give my notp some points, but this is like... they’re both no good for each other... like... why would anyone even want this idk. Don’t tell me “for the childhood friends” one-sided dynamic, like why won’t you also ship Shion with Safu then, like even he seemed more invested in that, than Haru in makoharu lol.
Even if you think of them from the point of view of “the two who are always walking together” ships, that are everywhere nowdays (even tho since Haru moved to Tokyo, he was always with Asahi instead), but even if... those kind of ships are usually at least make each happy and are enough for each other. Haru on the other hand, when he doesn’t have Rin, he is walking with Makoto like a ghost, not even caring if he’s talking next to him AND he’s getting ennoyed by him. Like explain, how someone’s shipping them romantically. It’s been showed like 20 times, that with Rin, but without Makoto, he can be perfectly happy, without Rin tho, he never is.
Also someone explain, what exactly is the point of splitting up two characters, who are happy together, make each other the best versions of themselves and want to be together whole-heartedly? Like I know many start shipping smth, bc the relationships are better in the other pairing, for example, but this is like... definitely not the case here. Like what exactly is missing in rinharu, that makoharu has? Lack of progression and mutual inspiration?
So yes, if you’re into rinharu, totally finish Free! They’re like doing sooo incredible and holy shit they’re inspiring, I mean, look, they’re now the tokyo olympics ambassadors, like how many of yall gay ships reached that? you can’t miss out on them, and also they’re so hilariously romantic, they literally made a wish to swim with each other since they were 13 and did everything to get each other there, I’m.. you’re lying, if you didn’t cry watching them as chibies making wishes on a star and watching them now. One of the most wonderful development in my opinion. Like who would’ve thought back in s1, that we’ll get Haru yelling on top of Rin about how he made him want a future with him, def not me lmao and now all the olympics boyfriends fanfiction are true, I mean, idk what to say anymore. I miss them so much, I can’t wait for the movie :D

DGM 2k18 Valentines
I was your secret Valentine @candy-crackpot~
I’m so sorry for the delay!
This is a soulmate AU where you can’t see a colour that is the colour of your soulmate’s eyes until you make eye contact. It is fluff and awkwardness.
It’s an AllenxKanda/Yullen/Arekan
Word count: ~5300
Excerpt:
Allen has always been told that the sky is blue. The ocean is blue. The damn recycling bins are blue.
Actually, sometimes recycling bins are grey so he can never tell the difference.
To him it looks grey and bleak regardless.
Allen stares up at the monochromatic sky. The same as always. Grey sky giving to black after sunset, the splatter of dark grey clouds everywhere.
Sighing, Allen gets up from the bench he was sitting on as the bus approaches. He picks up his shoulder bag from the seat next to him, making his way to meet the bus.

D.Gray-Man Tag
D.Gray-Man Tag!
Tagged by @tracing-in-gold. (Thanks!)
• What year did you first get into DGM?
Summer 2016. My friends were watching it when Hallow was airing and they reeled me in that way. So, I binged the series and was so devastated I started writing fanfiction for DGM characters. XD
• Who’s your favorite character?
Alma Karma, hands down. XD (I mean, most of my fics are centered on Alma, so I doubt that’s surprising LOL.) I just really adored his character so much, and felt robbed considering how he wasn’t around for that long. His story just broke me - which is so sad, because I think had things gone differently, he would have really had some amazing friendships with other characters (ex. Allen). Tyki is probably my second favorite. I liked him from the start with how much of an enigma and gray character he was (honestly, I watched most episodes hoping he’d show up ahaha). Kanda is also a close tie with him, though! I didn’t like Kanda’s character at first, but he really grew on me.
• Who’s your least favorite character?
To be honest, I don’t exactly have a least favorite? A lot of people dislike characters like Lvellie and Chaoji, but I find them super interesting? Even if they do horrible things. XD I mean, maybe Legory Peck since I find him the least interesting? I don’t have strong feelings either way.
• Who’s your favorite general?
Tiedoll!!! I love him so much - he’s just such a comforting character and I really love to think about his relationship to his apprentices (Kanda especially). I also am always really interested by how Hoshino was originally going to make him a colder character - it makes me wonder about what she might have envisioned for Tiedoll’s history. Somehow, I get the sense it’s painful.
• Who’s a character you would get along with?
This is hard, mostly because I like so many characters. But in terms of personality, I actually feel like I’d get a long with Tyki really well, since he’s so laid back. Also Kanda, because honestly, sometimes I like to not talk and be alone and Kanda would respect that. XD Tiedoll is another option. I tend to get along with artists, and he reminds me of a former professor I had.
• What kind of innocence would you have?
Honestly, I’m not sure? Between parasitic and equipment it’s hard to say, but crystal actually really appeals to me because of the tie to blood. In terms of what sort of weapon it would be, I’m just going to say mirror (let me channel my inner Sailor Neptune XD).
• What’s your ship?
My OTP has generally been Yulma (Kanda x Alma). Their whole romance and storyline broke me, and as a result I’ve written loads of AUs and fics for them (mostly fairytale retellings since that’s my thing XD). Lately, Tyki x Alma has really gotten up there and is probably about to dethrone Yulma as my top OTP. XD It sort of happened accidentally, but I started writing more for Tyki x Alma and I just love the dynamic so much - it’s really refreshing and allows me to explore a lot fo storylines that I don’t always get to.
• What’s your least favorite ship?
To be honest, I feel like I can get on board with most ships depending on how they’re written. My least favorites are probably Yullen (Kanda x Allen) and Allena (Allen x Lenalee), though. I have nothing hard against them - they’re just not my cup of tea.
• What branch would you want to be part of?
None. I’d want to be a rogue. XD (If I had to pick, maybe the Asian Branch.)
• What’s your favorite arc?
The Alma Karma arc. Just take out my heart and step on it already. XD
Tagging: @kitty-bandit and ??? Who else is still active on this site?? XD If you want to play just say I tagged you. :3
