The Staunton Lick for your general riddler wooooo
🎀 No.10: The Staunton Lick 🎀
give me a character and i'll make a mini playlist for them a/n: oh my GOSH i'm so excited to do this for my general riddler!! 💚 1k milestone info! 🔞minors dni🔞 • kofi • tag: finnie1k
our day will come - ruby and the romantics
big fan of mort garson i bet, plus the intro hits right and he enjoys humming it while he's getting ready to hit the big red button on his next scheme
love in the first degree - bananarama
he's a romantic boy! and he loves singing in falsetto to pop songs! so this one combines love, pop, and being guilty of something which is perfect for him
the logical song - supertramp
introspective look at parental issues and feeling like you have to be intellectual and clinical in life, but my riddler has retained a bit of humanity...
nobody loves you like me - jonathan coulton
yeah i said he was romantic, i might not have specified that he was a tad yandere about it, maybe even overly dramatic some would say
feels like i'm in love - kelly marie
again with romance and pop music BUT this one comes with the added benefit of having little electronic pew pew sounds in it, which he can do finger guns to
red river rock - johnny and the hurricanes
instrumental bops fuel him while he's working so his brain can still process words, but this one in particular makes him feel cheerful and bouncy
more beats and pieces - coldcut
he's super into electronic music, especially stuff like this that chops up lots of samples and makes one song. see also: frontier psychiatrist by the avalanches
girls & boys - blur
the bisexual anthem, he's... he's bisexual as fuck and yeah i am projecting
danger! high voltage - the electric six
he 100% unironically listens to this during sex, he thinks it's the ultimate sex playlist anthem
you'll always find me in the kitchen at parties - jona lewie
this is just a descriptive song about him. terrible at basic chores, anti-social and a bit awkward. this is him

while driving to my psychiatrist appointment (a town away, about 20 minutes) I was thinking about. Man I don't even know. But I ended up spacing way out and envisioning a world in which I am passing myself off as a man in the 1880s in order to work as a mail carrier in the western frontier and I don't get robbed and killed because I pass on information about army payroll to a charismatic bandit that I also sometimes have lesbian sex with.
So that's where I'm at. Mentally

i will admit that since im mobile-only i cant actually read the playlist description BUT, i can very clearly tell characters/themes sections , and that some sections made me laugh out loud when certain songs would play, like specifically, hitting us with back to back songs that make made me laugh way harder than i probably should have been laughing, memorably,
Puppet Boy immediately followed by Under My Skin, so meaaan to them
the one-two punch of fuck my boss and da biggest bird.........
the combo of Just The Two Of Us and Thats Life,
the man who sold the world. BACK FROM THE DEAD STRAIGHT OUT THE CASKET RISING UP OPEN UP YOUR EYES CANT YOU SEE ME WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS
the cars themed songs, ejsus fucking ..
starting out with a man without love is Perfect ... the first four songs paint such a picture like thr opening of a film except the fourth song is camel by camel of all things,
heaven knows im miserable now. i was looking for a job and then i found a job. making plans for nigel. then ghost.
i can go on (which would be me continuing to state the obvious) but im not planning on editing this ask once i type it out so (sweating) im so sorry....
there are some fantastic choices you can kinda tell who listens to what via vibes , even though obviously no i couldnt actually figure out that marc listens to will smith. but there is a VERY clear switch between steven music, marc music, jake music, plot music, setting music, show mystery atmosphere music, etc. even their mercenary background,
this is only somewhat related to the playlist, but i didnt realize that My Way Of Life was the song that jake was playing in the last scene, and then when you put frontier psychiatrist in there, did yoy know that that song is sampled in there. the That Boy Needs Therapy song. sampling the song that was playing when jake makes his appearance at khonshu's behest, a song that is all in one an admission of defeat, a prayer, and a claim. can i speak to the directors was this on purpose (shaking someone wildly by the shoulders)
your sense of humor shines through the entire thing even from the photo and the GET THE FRIES title reference which im still laughing to myself about it like an idiot and as i finished the playlist i was thinking to myself like. Thats it, Thats The Whole Show 👍👍 We've Covered Literally Everything yknow i marathoned this playlist but this playlist is so long that by the time i hit the end of the playlist after marathoning it i was driving home from work free bird'ing down the highway like I DID IT ... WHAT AN EXPERIENCE...
Yeeeesssssss
YEEEEESSSSSSSSSS
YOU GET ITTT
literally kicking my feet in the air giggling and silently screaming while reading this THANK YOU!! AND YES IT IS THE PERFECT PLAYLIST TO MARATHON I ALWAYS PUT IT ON WHILE WORKING. Also good to know that everyone else can’t see the description on mobile too, damn I thought I was doing something wrong. it goes like this “We’ll need the energy in the coming days…THE ULTIMATE MOON KNIGHT PLAYLIST In order: miscellaneous, Marc, Steven, Jake. I’m always updating and curating this! Also check out my Layla playlist”
Followers who don’t care about the best moon knight playlist ever pls scroll now or forever hold your peace cause I’m about to wig out✌️
This whole playlist is very much my personal music taste both old and new so I’m so glad other people love it too. Like I’m 20 and I’ve been listening to some of these songs since middle school (and one since elementary school….”awoken” LOL) and some is my more recent music taste
So anyway without further ado, here is some of my personal favorite moments on the playlist, I’ll try to keep it in order, strap in.
MISCELLANEOUS
• Nutcracker suite Arabian dances: im very much a classical lover as you can probably tell by now but this has always been my favorite classical piece. It’s just sooooo “I’m tired and injured and trudging through the desert under the light of the full moon. I’m exhausted but I have to keep going” love itttttt
• Leopard: this song is literally always switching up!! Just like moon knight lol. One moment it’s sad and slow, next moment it’s anxious and fast, and then it’s smooth and chill. Need I say more.
MARC
• Back from the dead: “BLOW, YA TAKIN 2 SHOTS TO YA CHEST”
• Hunter: this one is very special to me cause it’s probably my favorite song of all time at the moment. It’s sort of the same deal with the nutcracker suite where it’s like you just have to keep on marching and do what you can to survive cause there’s not really a home you can go back to. It feels lonely, ghostly, desolate, and steadfast. So marc and so knightly. “I tried to organize freedom- you sussed it out didn’t you? You could smell it so you left me on my own, to complete the mission, now I’m leaving it all behind.” Very him and Khonshu am I right or am I right. HES GOING HUNTING. HES THE HUNTER!
• Pluto: this is a more recent addition, it’s just so visceral and violent. Like Marc! I also specifically added the live version with the strings cause it sounds so much moreee. Unhinged? Enraged? “Excuse me, I just have to explode this body” “I’ll wake up tomorrow brand new, a little tired, but brand new” just like going to bed as maRC AND WAKING UP AS STEVEN CMONNNNNN
• Dirty Harry: mercenary days marc moment
• mercure scene 1, la nuit: same thing as nutcracker suite and hunter. WE GOTTA KEEP MOVING EVEN THO WE’RE SO TIRED
• Off with his head: middle school classic of all time to me. It’s so “ugh. Gotta kill all these people to sate this ancient gods will. Sorry, I promise I don’t want to 😬”
• Awoken: relistening to old mlp fandom songs I used to love when I was little and then realizing one of them fit Marc Spector of all characters actually incredibly well felt like unearthing an ancient cursed relic. I literally still cannot believe it
• All the Will Smith songs: Marc speeds on the highway when he drives. And when he does, he’s blasting this. Also he doesn’t like any other musician besides will smith. He has literally had the exact same music taste since 1997 #comfortmusic
• Get out of my house: MARC IS THE HOUSE.
• All the love: the phone calls. THE PHONE CALLS. Did I mention the phone calls? The sighs too UGH. I’m imagining Marc coming back to that storage locker and listening to all the voicemails Steven had left him thinking he was calling their mom. Also am I crazy thinking the last “good night” sounds EXACTLY like Steven?
• Sandpaper kisses: “your gonna a leave her. You have deceived her. Just a girl, with featherweight curls” Layla 😭
• The moon/ Awake: EVERY. LYRIC. HITS. It fits the relationship between him and Steven amazingly. “When sins of sons to fathers come, too heavy is the weight. THE SPIRIT SPLIT IN TWO” <- when I heard that while looking for songs to add to this playlist my jaw dropped. ITS TOO REAL
STEVEN
• Ok let’s go: the moon/ awake to ok let’s go is the transition from Marc to Steven. It’s basically Steven being like “is this too much to take? That’s ok, I’ll take it from here” like he’s there to put Marc’s pieces back together after everything. It’s stevens introduction bc that’s his purpose after all. He’s picking up where Marc left off
• Diary: Goldfish problem vibes. “Dear diary, What a day it’s been. Dear Diary, it’s been just like a dream” “at night I can’t sleep, I toss and turn” also the guy is British so that’s a plus
• the miku song (I can’t type Japanese) : Steven grant anime opening. He’s running late to work with toast in his mouth
• COUNT THOSE FREAKS: literally episode 2. Mr knight vs that jackal vibes
• Sinking feeling, Only dreaming: I’m gonna lump these 2 together cause they have the same gist. Steven realizing that he isn’t completely alone and those strange occurrences and dreams are much much much more than they seem. His life is a lie! Poor man’s being put through the mental ringer.
• Linger a while: It’s just so british sounding you know what I mean? It’s so Steven nervously plodding along
•Oivomaintnt: steven grant walking simulator
• Wake up ( it’s 1984): “two worlds apart, BUT SO!! CLOSE!!!!!!”
• Is anybody here?: ohhhhohhh so Steven. Everything abt it is so perfect but here’s my fav lyrics “I left my soul exposed to frail hands who hold my fate up in the air.” Aka khonshus spindly witch fingers. “Waking in the afternoon, a captive in a passive tomb, moments turn to long Decembers, stoking fires from dying embers. I try To move a limb, but there's a disconnect within. A devil in the alchemy. A phantom staring back at me.ITS YOUUUUU” disassociation moment. He is quite literally slipping out of consciousness and losing days or even months of time. Also….a phantom….OR A SPECTOR
• Steal away: ok I lied this is the one song that’s based off vibes. It’s just Steven what can I say
• It only takes a moment, somethin stupid, might tell you tonight: HES FALLING IN LOVE FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME 😭😭😭
• Ghost: Steven being like “hey maybe actually not being alone isnt so bad :)” again, a ghost….OR A SPECTOR! Ehhhhhh? ;D
JAKE
• you belong to me: Marc and Steven may be free, but Jake? mmmm not so much :/ wherever they go, whatever they do, he still belongs to Khonshu.
• What you won’t do for love: “I guess you wonder where I’ve been”
• Desalento: I don’t speak Portuguese so I don’t exactly know what this song is about but it’s just so Jake vibes. Esp near the end
• The most cursed hands/ who am I: first part is cool but disregard it. The real reason why I added it is at the very end. “Who am I? Just a gambler, holding aces in the devil's eyes. What is wrong? What's the sin? Where's the answer? Where the hell do I fit in? Or could it be, there's just a little demon lost in the debris? And I, should idly bide my time until a wager releases me” cmonnnn that is so good. Where does jake fit in in all this? Steven and Marc are already a team but Jake is disconnected from them, where does he go in the story? Also the little demon lost in the debris is KHONSHU, they thought they defeated him but heyyyy he’s still there just in secret now. And what can Jake do but follow his orders till he’s released! “It can’t remain unknown” his existence can’t stay hidden forever! Also the vibes at this part are just so suave and Jakey.
• how I could just kill a man: marc and steven are soooo free and don’t have to do shit anymore but guess who’s left to do all the dirty work now? JAKE! And he’s pissed! “When your up on the hill in your big home, I’m out here riskin my dome”
• Vroom Vroom: obligatory
• Tardigrade song: Jake lockley is one tough son of a bitch. He can take pretty much everything you throw at him, since that is literally his purpose. He wakes up after years of hibernation, kicks ass in the most inhospitable conditions imaginable, then goes to sleep again. Just like a tardigrade!
• We fly high: I have this image in my head of Jake rolling up to an avengers meeting and you can hear this from the parking lot blasting in the moon knight mobile before he gets out and slams the door. They’re all looking down at him from the window like “ughhhh who invited that guy” “not me” “me neither” “I think he just invited himself” *door bursts open* “eyyyy fugeddaboutit” It’s like his theme song to me, it’s what plays when he rolls up into frame wearing sunglasses. He’s just balling. Simple as. Steven: ouch! He bit me!😰 Jake: no I didn’t 😎😏
Freebird: and what a perfect way to end the playlist. Wow look you made it way to go, now let’s make our car do flips and donuts in the avengers office parking lot 🥳🙌
Sorry if that was too much, I always think about these when I listen to it which is still fairly often. I’ve never gotten to discuss these things with anyone! Delighted to hear that you enjoyed it!!!!! Hope it helped you discover some really amazing songs. THANK YOU!!!!!!! 💕
#I love making character playlists so much#it’s like a piece of fanart that you don’t have to draw#they are also just incredibly fun to make#I have playlists for all sorts of characters that I love#moon knight

A Reflection on Occupational Therapy Student's Journey within the Multidisciplinary Team
Learning, growth, and collaboration are all important parts of an occupational therapy student’s journey to becoming a qualified practitioner. It can be thrilling and intimidating for an occupational therapy student to enter the field of healthcare. Working in a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) in a chaotic hospital setting is an important part of our education. The multidisciplinary team (MDT) brings together a range of medical specialists to offer comprehensive care, they each bring a distinct skill to the care of their patients (Cequier et al., 2020) and dealing with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) is the most important component of this journey to becoming a qualified health practitioner. This blog explores the journey I’ve encountered as an occupational therapy student in a hospital setting collaborating and dealing with the multidisciplinary team.
The multidisciplinary team (MDT) is made up of experts from a wide range of fields, including psychology, speech therapy, physiotherapy, and nursing etc. (Rice, n.d.). Having a multidisciplinary team allows you to give your clients more comprehensive treatment, which is one of the biggest advantages. When several professionals work together, they may offer a more customised and comprehensive approach to fit the particular requirements of every client (Kay, 2023). During my second year, we as students weren’t as involved with dealing with the MDT as we are now so at first, figuring out this complicated medical network was intimidating, it was like trying to solve a 5000-piece puzzle. However, when I understood the collaborative culture, I was able to take the knowledge from the MDT and use it in collaboration with my knowledge to provide comprehensive care to my clients.
During finals in my clinical placement, I had the pleasure of working with the multidisciplinary team. I was able to communicate with the doctors and discuss my client’s diagnosis, I was able to call the orthopaedic workshop regarding my client’s corset, and I was able to speak to the nurses regarding my client. I also was able to look in my client's file and see the physiotherapist, dietician and doctor's notes in the file. All this knowledge that the MDT has given me has helped me with giving my client a comprehensive treatment plan.
My journey through the MDT has been more than just a professional experience, it has been a very personal one too. It has forced me to embrace multidisciplinary learning and get out of my comfort zone. Most of all, it has grown my love for occupational therapy and the positive effects it has on my clients' lives.

Albums That I Listened to in February 2024
I noticed that in the past few months that I've done this challenge, that certain albums have been overrepresented in my listening habits. For one, an overwhelming majority of the albums that I listened to in December and January combined were rock albums, and the majority of them were also albums released in the 2010s. Since part of my reasoning for undertaking this is to diversify the music that I listen to, I decided to challenge myself this month to not listen to any rock albums this month and to limit the number of 2010s albums that I checked out.
These were the albums that I listened to:
Norman Fucking Rockwell! - Lana Del Rey (2019)
Modern Times - IU (2013)
Holy Diver - Dio (1983)
Since I Left You - The Avalanches (2000)
Dummy - Portishead (1994)
Joy'All - Jenny Lewis (2023)
Samara Joy - Samara Joy (2021)
Just Another Diamond Day - Vashti Bunyan (1970)
Windswept Adan - Ichiko Aoba (2020)
That! Feels Good! - Jessie Ware (2023)
Dusty in Memphis - Dusty Springfield (1969)
At Last! - Etta James (1960)
Here's how I would rank these albums:
Norman Fucking Rockwell!: This album clicked with me way faster than Lana's most recent album Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard? did (Although I'm still salty about Taylor winning AOTY at the Grammys instead. Talk about being snubbed). The compositions on this album feel older, like they were written in the 1960s or 1970s, but the production is clearly modern and it creates this peculiar sound that Lana had been crafting for pretty much her entire career up to that point. In fact, I think this album is where she has mastered said sound and sort of perfected it. I once heard music YouTuber Mic the Snare describe this album as (Paraphrasing) constantly expanding into this larger, grander atmosphere and to me, that it is perfect description of what this album sounds like. On top of that, the lyrics delving into these vignettes of Lana's relationships with different people read like short stories, and I love when lyricists do that. I could go on about this album, but I will just end this by saying that all of the praise that this album has received is deserved and I truly believe this is among her best work. 9/10
2. That! Feels Good!: Ugh, this album is just immaculate. Jessie Ware is the queen of contemporary house and disco music and you cannot tell me otherwise. Every single track goes extremely hard and is something that I would 100% put on at a party. If you decide to check out any one track from this album though, it has to be "Pearls." That song is perfect and I have been obsessed with it ever since I first heard it. I strongly recommend checking this one out. 9/10
3. Since I Left You: This is definitely one of the most unique albums I've listened to so far, alongside Modern Times. I thought that the usage of samples of dialogue from movies and TV shows combined with samples from older music was creative, especially on tracks like Frontier Psychiatrist where The Avalanches almost use these clips to create these new, elaborate stories. Additionally, I loved how smoothly all of the tracks transition into each other, too, almost as if the album was just one long mashup. This album is definitely an experience to listen to, and if anyone wants to check it out, I recommend listening to it in its entirety from start to finish, because I've found that that's how it sounds best due to the aforementioned transitions. I will definitely be coming back to this one. 8/10
4. Dusty in Memphis: This was the first sixties album that I listened to for this challenge and I actually really liked it. The production is great for an album made during this time and Dusty has a lovely singing voice. The lyrical subject matter is a little simplistic, but not everything has to be deep and profound. Simple can be good, too. I will probably revisit this album at some point. 8/10
5. Windswept Adan: This is such a gorgeous folk album. The instrumentation is light, yet lush, and Ichiko Aoba's vocals are beautiful, and complement said instrumentation well. Listening to this album feels like traveling through the countryside or the mountains, looking out at what feels like miles of greenery and nature as you inhale the fresh air. If any of you enjoy artists like Joanna Newsom or Vashti Bunyan, I highly recommend checking this album out. If you like the Minecraft soundtrack, I also recommend checking this out, too, because some points do remind me a little of that aforementioned soundtrack as well. 9/10
6. Modern Times: This is by far one of the most unique albums I've listened to so far. It's technically a K-pop album, but it mainly blends together jazz, bossa nova, and swing music with modern pop songwriting to create this distinctive blend that's hard to categorize into just one genre. I also think that it's cool that IU writes her own songs and has songwriting credits on this album, given how restrictive and controlling a lot of K-pop labels can be, especially towards their female artists. I'm not much of a K-pop fan, but this album was a pleasant surprise and I'm curious to hear more of IU's discography. 8/10
7. Samara Joy: I don't listen to a whole lot of jazz, so I figured that my mini challenge within a challenge was a good opportunity for me to explore the genre more. I heard a lot of good things about Samara Joy, so I decided to give her self-titled debut album a listen. The tracks all sound good - the instrumentation is rich and Samara has a beautiful alto voice. However, I feel like this is going to be one of those albums that only really clicks for me if I'm in the mood for it. There were some points where it was difficult for me to get through a song as I listened to it because the album generally has some pretty slow pacing. This might work better for me as an album to put on when I'm studying or making dinner. 7/10
8. Just Another Diamond Day: This is a perfectly pleasant seventies folk album. I was curious to listen to it after hearing the story behind Vashti Bunyan's career as a whole and how this album exploded in popularity all of a sudden in the early 2000s after decades of going largely unnoticed. As mentioned earlier, it's a pleasant album to listen to and definitely gives strong cottagecore vibes. I will be putting this on next time I go fishing at a rainbow river or something. 8/10
9. At Last!: This is only the second sixties album that I listened to, both this month and within the challenge as a whole. The brass section and occasional strings on this album are both good, and Etta is a sublime singer, although her vocals can get a little too shouty at points. The lyrics are a bit hit or miss (I am begging, no - pleading with her to stop calling her partner "daddy" on a couple of these tracks), and while I think her voice works well with Harvey Fuqua's, I find it odd that all of their duets are shoved to the end of the album. Although in fairness, that's probably just a time period thing. 6/10
10. Holy Diver: This is the first eighties album I've listened to for this challenge and only the second metal album after King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's Infest the Rat's Nest and it was pretty solid. The guitar melodies are catchy and really well-written, and Ronnie James Dio is a great singer. The lyrics leave a lot to be desired, though, and definitely need some work. Hopefully if I listen to anything else in Dio's discography, there will be some improvement in that department. 7/10
11. Joy'All: For whatever reason, I have a really hard time getting into Jenny Lewis, both through her solo work and through her band, Rilo Kiley. I feel like I should like most of her work because of how much I like indie music and a little bit of ✨country flare✨, but for some reason, a lot of it isn't clicking for me. Psychos and Puppy and a Truck were good, and while the title track was hard for me to get into instrumentally, I did like the overall message. The rest of it, however, kind of fell off for me. I might go back to this album and give it a second chance, but for now I'm going to say that it was pretty meh. 5/10
12. Dummy: This is another situation akin to when I listened to Heaven or Las Vegas last month where I really don't get why this album is considered a classic and gets so much praise. It's not a bad album per se, but it all of the tracks sound kind of same-y over time and I got bored with it at certain points. I feel like I'd probably have to be in a certain mental state in order to enjoy this and as someone who has dealt with mental health issues in the past and is working to overcome them and be happier in life... yeah, no thanks. 6/10
I'm going to go back to listening to some rock albums next month, so I'm not cutting out the genre entirely. And as always, if any of you have any suggestions for me, feel free to comment them below. 🙂

mmm tumbly doesnt even let me reblog the last post and put more videos on the reblog. So guess we'll make it this way. Again long post warning :) im so embarrassed.
Frontier Psychiatrist for Pyke. I think its very self explanatory.
youtube
Any of the Bluey's soundtrack. Mostly 'Pool', 'Creek is Beautiful' and 'The Weekend', Bilgewater canon divergence where child Sarah, Illaoi and Pyke enjoy life as kids, Abigail is there, alive and happy watching over the kids, they do silly stuff like picking stuff from the sand and showing it to each other or creeping over the shore creatures, they be holding hands and dancing in circle like silly gooses they are. No obligations for today. Just kids being kids.
youtube
Oooof this one slaps so hard in my mind. Pyke with 'DEATH' by Melanie Martinez. The lyrics, the way i imagine in my mind past Pyke slowly become undead Pyke but always with glimpses of 'oh yes, we know whats going to happen', and because this scene deserves a redraw. Too powerful. Back from the death back from the death.
youtube
Keeping it up with my babygirl Pyke, i have a whole ass animatic in my mind with 'Kanashi no mukou he' from School Days anime. Its an old anime already but i dont want to spoil it. But just brand new undead Pyke slowly promising himself to take revenge and planning his first killing but also being so emotionally driven. Damn.
youtube
'Pacify Her' by Melanie Martinez but its Sarah Fortune watching Gangplank and Illaoi date and she's just convinced that she doesnt love him or that she's being manipulated and constantly planning on boicotting the relationship because she utterly despises Gangplank. Inmature and stubborn Sarah but in the end, she's always right.
youtube
'Slipping through my fingers' by ABBA is the angst part of Bilgewater canon divergence animatic, where we now nostalgically see the kids having fun but always in the eyes of who Sarah, Illaoi and Pyke are now. Split up, broken and bothered by the actions of each other. Always remembering the good times but knowing that the friendship is too poisoned to try again, yet, it was beautiful while it lasted.
youtube
and thats it. For today, cause i have a lot more. I dont have that much free time but that mini part of my brain is always working. Sorry for the cringe exposition, haha. Again this might work as archive if i ever feel like trying doing an animatic out if i figure out how to do it.

orchid & sage for the get to know me asks pls!
oh yeehaw!
orchid ⇢ what’s a song you consider to be perfect?
I don't believe in perfection in anything, but Come On! Feel the Illinoise! (Sufjan Stevens) is an ideal song to me, South Side (Moby) is also really well timed(?), Bodys (Car Seat Headrest) is so well done in every aspect that I wrote an essay on it last year❗, I consider a lot of Orville Peck songs as-close-to-perfect-as-possible, including but definitely not limited to Drive Me, Crazy and Turn to Hate, Frontier Psychiatrist (The Avalanches) is perfectly designed to cause me pain 👍, and this is a very cold take by now, but Bohemian Rhapsody is very good. <3 Sorry that this is a long list instead of one song but I love music and talking about it!! My cross to bear this summer was knowing and listening to a lot of Harrison coded songs but knowing that you probably wouldn't enjoy them because of the tism. Meanwhile I have the kind of tism that makes me love listening to new and jarring sounds teehee!!
sage ⇢ what ‘medium’ of art (poetry, music, fiction, paintings, statues etc.) is the most touching to you? why do you think that is?
oh poetry always! I'm a big believer that all mediums of art are equally valuable, and I try to be audience to a variety of forms and use them creatively, but poetry is usually the most affecting to me. I think that's because I think in words! not just in the sense of my inner monologue, but when I see something I instantly think of it in terms of its description, etc. and when I hear people speak I process it by first turning it into written words that I can "read" in my head, if that makes sense. so poetry is closest to reality for me, and almost all other art gets filtered into a poem for my mind to absorb it. example of what I mean by this: here is how I currently am experiencing the room I'm in: great wobbling yellow-white beaming and the vague insect whir of manmade light. a flat smoothness like balsa wood, wide plastic surface disinfected -- then beginning again its dry erase degradation (more dries than is erased). footnote: wouldn't you love to be a table? the accumulation of stains and scratches from work and purpose left to pile up without oils or bacteria mandating a bath? you need a bath. slight drowning feeling of chapstick and forehead grease. slight hunger inside, the sort that feels round. the sort like a painting of a calm ocean. cold knees. great growling squeal of a bus out the open window. thamp of dumpster overturned. humans talk like hyenas at play. bark and yap and yowl. almost full moon but it can't be seen -- only the parallel glowing sphere of campus streetlight. the sound of a whole floor of lights on, only for me. curtain closed. human dogs outside. sound of typing. sound of hunger like a cape. [I need to go eat so ending this to have a walnut <3] how I would describe the room if asked: It's got pink walls and one big table in the middle, with hand sanitizer and my stuff on it. There's a dry erase board and an open window with the curtains closed. [but the way I feel it has to be something more like a poem at first.]
anywho if someone actually reads this much nonsense from me then hi ^_^ and thanks Rachel for the ask! I can't believe I missed your birthday woe is me 😞 but you saying your top two mediums are poetry followed by music from this ask game 🤝 me agreeing in general but specifically me using this ask to talk about music and poetry... I love our minds and how they overlap <- normal thing to say (gaslighting you) normal people say this to internet people and it's normal (convincing myself)

hello all <3 ive been long overdue for a ‘7 songs ive been listening to lately’ list so let’s get started!!
starting off strong with my favorite song!! it makes me feel so optimistic, motivated, and just that first line too! “i got a new life, you would hardly recognize me, im so glad” exactly! intro is very 90s and nostalgic for me. just a really fun song.
speaking of fun songs this one is so good!! it’s one of those times where im glad i can speak german to get the full effect of the song. i love liliput honesty idk why i don’t listen to them more.
this one is so... soft. it’s about doing something that’s futile i think but i actually do my gardening at night because i work night shift so if you see me pulling weeds at 3am mind your business.
i really like this one off their self title. sounds like theyre saying bubble guppy tho and i almost cant get over it... almost...
this one went viral on tiktok but don’t let that fool you. its catchy and weird and fun and reminds me of blur kind of? actually idk what it really reminds me of just listen i swear on it.
now this is really hit or miss so i don’t blame you if you hate gecs like i totally understand really i do... but they rule and its not my fault youre missing out man!!
ok ive been listening to a lot of them so ill throw in another.
this song is immaculate. the clips they use? the beat? everything is flawless. and just when you think it’s going to end it keeps going and gives you more and we love that. if anyone can give me the genre of this kind of music where it’s just a beat and random clips from shit ill give you a smile. but omg the part where it’s a bunch of people talking one after another and the lady says “pour juice on your genitals!!” AMAZING. like to make the people seem like voices and a fucking command hallucination hello!!! talent and skill and this song is my other favorite as you can tell.

Last point first:
My tumblr icon was made with one of these visual art models.
I'm going to assert that it's impossible for you to figure out which copyrighted works went into producing it.
It is, in that way, far more transformative than, say, the song "Frontier Psychiatrist", where many of the (apparently originally uncredited ) samples retain their form well enough to be identified.
To me, this strongly suggests that my use of copyrighted material in making that icon is so transformative that it is pretty much certainly fair use under current standards. If I had produced the same image by, say, collaging magazine clippings together, I don't think many people would suggest that I was stealing from the magazine photographers.
The only possible danger from these models is that they lower the barrier for entry into the visual arts. If they didn't there would be no cause for concern whatsoever.
And that's what pisses me off about the glib insistence that anybody who wants to produce visual art should just do it, the people pushing it have to know on some level it's bullshit.
Suppose the local publishing house says, "Hey, why pay an artist to produce a new cover for us when Greg the intern can whip us up something with mid journey?"
Maybe Greg the intern didn't go to art college, and his hands shake and he's never quite grasped anatomy.
If those weren't obstacles to Greg becoming a cover artist, then the company could *already* just stop paying artists and have Greg draw up a cover.
They don't do that because the kind of thing Greg would produce wouldn't be up to their quality standards.
Greg would need to put in a lot of work to produce something as well done as a typical mid-journey pic, and come the fuck on, there's a lot of Greg's who just aren't going to do that.
If every Greg in the world was producing traditional art and it was just as artistically viable as current art then we'd have exactly the same problems that AI art (I hate that term by the way) is going to cause.
AI art is dangerous because it lowers the cost of entry into the market. This risks further flooding the internet with a sea of mediocrity and undermining the labor market for visual artists.
It also means that the guy who works at McDonald's and has a brilliant board game idea can make appealing token art without having to find money to hire staff, and it means people with weird comic ideas might be able to produce them on a fast schedule without quitting their job.
The idea that lowered barriers to entry are *exclusively* negative infuriates me.
AI art discourse turns people into unreflective reactionaries.
There are several disabled people below explaining that a moral person would just suck it up, deal with the pain, and pull themselves up by their bootstraps and the lazy mooches and parasites who don't want to bother ought to fuck off and get out of the way of the Randian superman who are actually willing to work hard.
I guarantee all of these people consider themselves extremely left-wing and compassionate.
