Thancred literally (accidentally but still) disassociated so hard from the stress that he gave up his body to the bad guy for a bit. If anyone gets what youre going through, its probably going to be him. Hes not going to waste his time on empty platitudes: hes going to get you a glass of water, a warm blanket, and a hot meal, and let you cry it out on his shoulder for as long as you need to.

(And if that still doesnt help, well. Sex is still on the table. Its rarely a good idea, but hes all out of those.)

Urianger is probably breaking down with you lets be real. Every future my mans has ever read has included world-ending catastrophe, and, sure, youve thwarted it every time (usually with his help) but. What if this time you dont? What if this time you fail???? Its an unreasonable amount of stress for one man to be carrying. He probably does a fantastic amount of fantasy weed to cope and still all it takes is seeing you break down for him to also start blubber-crying.

Graha seems kind of detached and distant at first. "Shower water food" he commands you, in the voice of Lynas grandfather the Crystal Exarch, firm and uncompromising and impossible to disobey, and you might miss the way his voice and smile are strained. The way his hands clench and unclench at his sides. Hes never regretted turning back time to help you save two worlds, but. Its times like this that he wonders if he shouldnt try again to give you a happier ending.

Estinien is a firm hand on your shoulder, a steady shoulder to lean on, because he gets it. The feeling of being trapped in your own body, puppetted by powers so much greater than you can imagine, almost greater than you can comprehend... Youre breaking down for the both of you, honestly, because hes spent so long training the iron discipline to resist nidhoggs influence that he doesnt know how to anymore. This is. Cathartic. For the both of you tbh.

Aymeric wishes in this moment, more than anything, that he could just. Just be with you. Out on your journeys, giving you support by your side instead of from a distance. And he knows, he knows, that the support he gives you is important, that his ability to move nations in your favor has helped far more than any single sword at your side ever would. But he bears the weight of a nation while you bear the weight of a star, and that just. Doesnt seem fair to him.

Haurchefant knows that theres some things that hot chocolate cant fix but. Its a good starting place if nothing else. Or he can talk-- he has plenty of embarrassing stories about Artoirel that he hasnt shared yet. Sidurgu is surprisingly good at this. Or, maybe not so surprising? Rielle is very mature for her age, but shes still a child. He probably does this whole song and dance every other week. And you feel a little bit like a child, the way he bullies you into the shower and then bundles you up in blankets and pushes food at you, but. Beneath the gruff words and scowl you can tell hes worried. Frustrated. This is exactly the kind of injustice that as a dark knight he swore he would fight, but hes just one man, there isnt much he can do about the desolation of the star. But he also needs you to know that he'll always be in your corner. Whether in this little way or if you need him to help you kill a god, he'll always come when you call.

BONUS

Ardbert has never felt so helpless in his life. He cant touch you, cant be a shoulder you can cry on. He cant even fetch you a glass of water. All he can do is stand there and watch as you break apart in your bed in the Pendants, and its. Its torture, worse than anything any ascian could ever conceive.

Adrift

I couldn’t sleep so have some Emet ficness I spewed out while trying to make myself tired lmfao

Kinda like if the same thing happened to the WoL as Y'stola did (She goes Wheeee into the stream~) - how Emet would possibly react v: I dont normally write so please forgive any errors @v@ ... ------- He tried to ignore the familiar colored soul drifting through the stream. It couldn’t have been you. You- the hero of Eorzea and the East. You- who had fell countless enemies- primals- near gods. Nay, that couldn’t be you.

And even if it was you, shouldn’t this make him happy? The Champion of Eorzea no longer a threat to his plans for the rejoining. He should be happy.

Then why did he feel such… a loss? Anxiety? Pulling at his chest?

He turned his slumped back away from the stream, your soul gently drifting through it.

The next few days were torture for him. Any attempt to banish the thought of the familiar soul from his mind failed. He found himself nibbling- biting- at the seams of his glove as he stared at nothing.

Surly that wasn’t you.

To prove it to himself- he paid visit to those who glared at him. Your friends and the Crystal Exarch- although the words he caught before they realized he had arrived caused no relief from the anxiety pooling in his chest.

You were missing. And had been missing for a few days. It was unlike you to leave without a word to at least one of them.

Putting on his usual airs, he played it off fairly well, hiding his concern and taunting the others. Oh what would they do without you?

He smirked as the Exarch tried to hide his clenched jaw in the shadows of his hood- obviously feeling worried and guilty if you had actually met your end here in the First. Guilt that he called you here just to meet your end.

With a huff and one last taunt, he waved to the now agitated group as he vanished, but he wasn’t just going back to his recreated home. No, he found himself slumped, standing where he first had seen your soul adrift, eyes scanning. Eventually they did land on that beautiful color, and slowly reached his hand out.

Should he do this? You would get in his way again. You would cause trouble and problems… but soon those thoughts got shoved to the back of his mind… and he snapped.

You had to be as careless as that Miqo'te. Or maybe just somehow lucky. Your body and self were pulled from the stream as easily as picking a flower and gently floated before him.

It was now that he hesitated- eyes landing on a spot normally covered by your armor… a birthmark that he long recognized.

Out of all the thousands of years and many more heartbreaks- nothing could have prepared him for the cruel reality that you were in fact… his dear Azem.

He clenched his teeth and tore his eyes away from your form- snapping once again to give you decency. He then paused, not trusting himself to hold you.

Could he let you go if he did?

His hands shaking, he reached out and took your limp form in his arms, holding the majority of you to his chest as he let out a shaky breath. You were not whole. Sundered. Ugly.

He kept telling himself this but the gentle breaths you took against him, and your peaceful face had his thought spinning.

Until your eyes cracked open barely, trying to focus on the face the warm embrace that held you belong to. His eyes were focused on you- preparing another taunt- about how the great hero-

Your lips cracked and moved, and he thought his heart would stop the moment he saw his true name form soundless on your lips.

The name you had called him countless times before- back when the world was right and unsundered.

His words caught in his throat and before he could react-- respond- you had passed out once more.

He stood there for a long while- holding your body gently- mind whirling. No. It wasn’t possible you remembered. He did not see correctly.

He clenched his jaw again as he opened a portal and stepped through- entering the room at the Pendants. This is where you stayed wasn’t it?

He gently laid you down and stared for a moment longer before pulling himself away and vanishing, shoulders slumped even more than they have been. A memory weighing heavier than usual.

You awoke quite some time later, confused to how you were in your room. Did one of your friends find you and bring you back? You would have to ask later. It only added to the confusion when you did see them again- and none of them had brought you back- nor knew you were in your room- not even the roomkeep.

A hazy memory was there but it was out of reach- like a dream slipping away.

And then it vanished.

okay disclaimer i dont have a lot, if any, lore written out for aeda, so this is more or less an excuse to have some concrete thoughts about her. under the cut because i dont know how long thisll get

ok i answered this with a paragraph and tumblr didnt save it to the draft. attacka. anyway i said she probably dreams about 1) fully turning into a sineater (cause even though it didnt happen, emet was REALLY chastising about it) and hurting people. 2) since graha is her girlfriend, she probably dreams about him a lot too. shit like finding him fucken dead in miami (amaurot), him actually managing to sacrifice himself at mt gulg, the soul transfer to the source not working, THAT BULLSHIT HE PULLED IN ULTIMA THULE. she may be a bit worried abt him i think.

i dont think so! she started off with brown hair (like mine lol, wonder why that is) no idea how hair dyeing works for miqote, given the tail and ears and all, but im sure it works somehow. the aesthetician is a magician! (aeda is probably his favorite customer LOL)

8. How do they feel about the fame/infamy that comes with being a Warrior of Light/Darkness?

honestly its hard to even wrap my head around this in the first place, i cant even imagine what it must feel like. i think that probably over time she kind of gets a bit desensitized to it -- or decides to try not to think about it and just focus on herself, the scions, and achieving their goals. the pressure of all those expections in both the source and the first must kind of be a lot. she cares about the people a lot (otherwise she would never have been here) so she probably understands that they need a hero to look up to. nevertheless its an insane pedestal to be put upon so i wouldnt be surprised if having to save the day for everyone gets too much LOL as for the sort of mythical reputation she has, for people who dont know her, she probably understands as well, but when people are sceptic of her or just assholes abt it (cause god some ppl are needlessly cruel to her) she thinks like "i understand your sitiation but none of you have any idea that im also just a little guy and not some sort of demigod. like im just doing my best"

10. Do they misuse any of their abilities?

i dont... think so? i think she genuinely tries to do whats best, i feel like she would think it cruel to hydaelyn to misuse her gift. (as for her more physical strengths, still i dont think she would use those for evil shes a good girl.) but then theres the issue of all the violence, which in her mind could be perceived as her "misusing her abilities", because despite the fact she and the scions are doing whats best for the world at large, she has kind of had to kill and destroy a lot. of enemies. and sometimes they were not even really enemies. it probably doesnt feel great that she knows how much blood and destruction is on her hands

15. Which NPC are they the most similar to?

(EDIT i somehow read "NPC" and my brain redirected it to scion LOL uhm whoopsie) like... physically or personality wise? im not allowed to mention raha apparently, though he without a doubt is a carbon copy of her. accidentally i swear. i like my cat to have coral pink hair and red clothes, not my fault a certain catboy dresses like that too!

anyway. as for more personality wise... im... not allowed to mention graha...... soo... maybe alisaie? cares a LOT, very passionate and determined, but can be a little bit reckless and impulsive at times?? i think in aeda's case its rather that she forgets her limits at times, shes been through worse so she can push herself through this right?? promptly collapses. lol. i think she does lose herself a bit like that. she knows she has to be responsible and careful, seeing as how many people are depending on her, but honestly i dont blame her for b. br. breaking. her limits. um what's that police siren in the background

20. When in the story was their highest point? When were they at their lowest?

well there have been lots of highs and lows in the story. a lot of moments of "ohh god its really all just terrible right now" but the first notable one is probably the end of ARR and the bloody banquet. it was such a sudden change of events, her being accused of REGICIDE, all her friends scattering to the winds, being hunted for sport in uldah, her CITYSTATE... not to mention her seeing alphinaud have a bad time with the crystal braves. thank god haurchefant was there to offer them some hot chocolate because good lord that situation was dire. also i think she had a really bad time when haurchefant died. lol. that was like the first time she really lost someone that she was close with. (you got a storm coming bby girl)

ANYWAY that was just one. the second low was, well, when she had an entire norvrandt's worth of light in her and ALSO EMET SELCH SHOT HER CATBOY GIRLFRIEND . like the section in shadowbringers from mt gulg to defeating emet was not extremely intense story wise (like stuff Happened but we were just trying to make our way thru the tempest mostly), but obviously the wol was fucking going thru something. the fear of her fully turning into a sineater and 1) destroying the scions and 2) allowing emet to use the crystal tower to commit atrocities 3) possibly also endanger the source if emet decided to unleash her there. thats not great. LIKE SHE WAS READY TO SET OFF TO THE TEMPEST ALONE WTF. thank god the scions are fucking ride or die . basically the "this is fine" meme except she was trying to stop herself from becoming a monster. um.

OOF. AS FOR HIGHEST MOMENTS. why is this one significantly harder to think of??? its just been kind of shitty things happening all the time LOL. i honestly dont know because while there were some times of respite and peace, there was always another threat looming on the horizon you know?? i guess some good moments for her were

1) defeating nidhogg and finally bringing about an end to the dragonsong war, saved estinien and all of ishgard was happy. not very long lasting though because in the next patch a poisoned alisaie falls on yr doorstep sjfjdj aeda did get to hang out with aymeric though!

2) like, after 5.3? all the scions happy and safe back in the source, new additional catboy girlfriend scion, a time of some rest after the ordeals of shadowbringers and being able to kind of come back home.

3) after endwalker maybe... like 6.1 is delightful for her because she gets to go back to her beginnings, adventuring, instead of having the world on her shoulders. but all the memories of what happened in endwalker must kind of weigh on her still... being in elpis, the world falling apart everywhere, people turning, killing zodiark, hydaelyn passing, ultima thule, ultima thule, the last area in the game, all her friends sacrificing themselves one by one (yeah they came back but STILL), ultima thule, GRAHA'S STUPID FUCKING CRYSTAL BRIDGE THAT RUINS MY LIFE EVERY TIME I SEE IT, the twins, ultima thule, meteion, zenos, and nearly dying at the edge of the universe... shit fucking sucked bby girl. so i dont think she has moved on yet. but the transition of her laying down the sword and shield for now and picking back up a role less of a protector but an adventurer (the bow), it being the first time pretty much ever, that she didnt have a conflict or threat to keep in the back of her mind, i think she has potential to flourish.

so it seems her highest moments are mostly moments of rest and peace, which for someone called the warrior of light probably makes sense, the poor thing. like i could recount the greatest victories but lets be real, saving the source and the first from destruction was not as joyful because it came at the cost of defeating one of the last ancients. pretty much everything aeda has achieved has a bittersweet tone to it, always losses on both sides, so i dont know if you can call those her greatest moments... being able to see the people she cares for be safe and happy makes her feel more powerful than all those battles she has fought.

THE KING: ETERNAL MONARCH EP 10, My Appreciation and How It Made Me Feel

KSJ theme song with this guitar is seriously a mood. This scene is so beautiful, where its reminds him of old days with the person that he refers as beautiful dream. Its a bit sad, because jte is literally a dream for him, he is not from Korea, therefore his existence here is not real. He doesnt belongs here. But he is still in denial because this dream is where his heart is

One of the charm from this series is they always brings us to what happens prior to the ending and also sometimes its a flashback. I really cannot describe the detail but it is well done. If you watch this series you will get what i mean 😬

Here in eps 10, we got to see prior Gon meeting LR. And its beautiful. Gon coming to check the time in space between 0 and 1 (the humming voice and lady noh’s voice gave me chills) , and because he misses JTE he stop by Korea to hear her voice because he doesnt have much time, but ended up meeting JTE because she is also roaming around forest because she misses Gon.

This scene is beautifully made, with the poems that fits well, the longing, the shocking face of each other seeing each other, them hugging. The camera also plays the big part to make ot more dramatic. I love how they blurred Gon face then become more and more clear when he is closer to JTE. It feels like we can see hom through JTE eyes. Saddest part is when Gon ask JTE “have you beed waiting here?” With a worried face and a red eyes kind of holds back tears 😢 Fav part is when JTE holds Gon hand while they hugging, as if she needs reassurance that he is really here. He really exist 😢 i cried though, damn

I read somewhere (haters basically) says that this scene is lack of feelings, and they dont feel the longing because there are no clear timeline on how long they have been separated. But if only they think logically, they will realize that JTE and Gon not seeing each other for at least 2 weeks (plus).

We can count it from KSJ. After the revelation that he is from Corea, he took his 21 days leave. The day he took leave was the time Gon about to go back to Corea. The time JTE and Gon meeting in forest is around 7/5 days before new years, so it means Gon have been away for 2 weeks. And 2 weeks is enough for you to misses someone so bad especially when he is coming from a different world and about to face danger

Move on to JY part in taking JES role. This scene is hilarious because of the sister. She knew that JY is not JES 🤣 people need to appreciate this series and him more seriously

Back to Corea its also new year. I will said it tirelessly, Gon and fantasia from another dimention is one of the best thing exist in this series. They match perfectly especially in this scene! Its majestic and have a royal vibes. The whole scene could win its own award if its up to me. Also the speech, well written. Kudos to KES

There is 1 scene in between we got to see PM asking Lady Nohs help to wins Gon heart. This short coversation between them is one of my favorite.

PM “what can crush Pyeha’s heart?”

Lady Noh “the normal question would be, what makes his heart flutter?’ Yet you are asking what can crush his heart”

After the speech PM walks with Gon, fav line here from Gon, and PM startled face

PM “will you also be rooting for me every step of the way?”

Gon “as i said before, i always have. Of course I hope you dont have a bad sense of direction”

If we hear it in korean, the words actually sound a bit sarcastic. Loved it.

Also this line is superb, because it shows me how Gon is good at reading people personality 🤣

Gon is coming to police station and saw Luna face finally on the report. I love Gon glances to the detective when he says she is terminally ill, as if he sense something. And yes we got the answer that he assume, the balance that the traitor keep metioning means “those with the same face are stealing the lives of their counterparts” then we see his eyes going to Luna again. Means its also possible to happens to her. Because he knew that she has motives.

He also realize that LR obelisk located in different place. Here i catch something important, Gon has never been aware that familiar faces has always been his weakness. He realized it only in eps 13 and 15. But i realized it actually on eps 5 when he meet seung ah, he greets her as if they knew each other. Also now in eps 10, he calls her directly asking to make public invitation of him going to haeundae (to provoke LR). Familiar faces makes him feel too comfortable, later we knew that it brings him danger and sadness

Now we back at the ending of eps 9 scene, Gon saw LR alone, try to confront him with all royal guard but his judgement is wrong this time, of course LR have minions and attacking the people. Gon ended up letting LR go because he has ability to hurt people and also because he is startled that LR is actually still have the same faces and also because JES got shot, damn its so tense. I need to give LMH, LJJ and the one who play Ho Pil, standing applause for their acting! Very good, i can feel Gon angry, i hate LR was very calm, and Ho Pil angry voice and expressions, COOL!

While Corea was in chaos, JY in Korea was investigating KSJ, finally he knows that KSJ mom’s doppelgänger is working at the palace, thats explain a lot of things. But JY is in Korea what can he do? He cannot inform this to Gon 🥺 but at least he join forces with JTE and KSJ to solve this mess at Korea side.

I think up to this point where viewers will have confusion, because one scene we are in Korea and next its in Corea, poeple need to pay attention to be able to follow. Thank god i can so i still pretty much following this story okay.

Gon is now talking to PM on phone where she is - as usual - crossing the line asking Gon to be honest and inform her whether its really LR or his follower. I love love Gon expression here, very subtle and detail, its like “im having a very rough day got terror attack yet this person is being annoying and not helping at all” 🤣 i love how he claps back to PM

Gon “Hence, i beseech you, PM Koo. Do not pull the gag. Do not use the word ‘honesty’ as your weapon. Please focus solely on the safety of the people”

The Royal family actually furious about the terror attack and asking Prince Buyeong to act, actually i found it very realistic when they blame the PM because she is woman. This world is flowing like that 😅 its not even relevant but people love to blame it to woman and also because they want to get rid of PM for a political reason. Jeez. Disgusting.

Gon is coming to visit Prince Buyeong, as you know their conversation always deep and meaningful. Sometimes it feels like im watching some different movies because of how high quality their scene most of the time. Both acting superb, makes me teary eye when Gon asking hows sejin’s doing? And how Gon also wants to do a good job as her.

Gon “will i do a greta job too?”

I cants, he is just so scared and insecure 🥺 he ask his uncle to stay in the palace as the second in line. Like, at this point he is ready to sacrifice anything as long as he can get LR. Most heartbreaking words was when he promise to protect himself and he is asking his uncle to also protect himself too, thats the king’s order 😭😭 i cry a river

i have definitely mentioned that i don’t think francel likes his appearance very much — he especially wishes he had lighter-colored eyes like stephanivien and aurvael...

i personally want to think that chlodebaimt looked very different from francel BUT, although i have never datamined the necrose knight (i really should), a friend of mine took screenshots and his eyes at least look like francel's eyes

...but they might very well have just used a generic house haillenarte knight model for that, so who knows what chlodebaimt looked like?

i also like to think that baurendouin (francel's father) persists in the belief that his youngest son will do great things because he at least superficially resembles driancoin de haillenarte (the haillenarte founder you see in the haldrath flashback scene). i mean, i doubt portraits of driancoin survived or anything, given the nondescript statues of thordan's knights, but i’m sure comments about him did?

5. What do you hate about your canon?

i am always, ALWAYS so tired of hearing people complain about how “no one ever” treats the wol like they’re “a normal person” ah, yes no one no one ever has treated you nicely never mind the fact that people regularly apologize for turning to you in their hours of need, and for asking you to kill things, and you usually just dismiss their applogy no one!!! has ever!! been nice!! to the wol!! i know the entire arc of my francel writing career has been bitching about similar things but at least i find new ways to do it

yes! but it depends on the character. for ramza... i either read shakespeare (for real — i have lifted quotes wholesale from hamlet and the tempest) and/or listen to "rather be" by clean bandit? seriously, that is my most strong ramza association... which is weird because the song and the game are like 20 years apart? or i listen to the FFT ost...

for francel i have a whole playlist, but most importantly i either go on twitter and look at wolchefant fanart or read bad wolchefant fanfic on ao3... (don’t judge me; it keeps the bitterness alive)

18. Is there anything you really wish you could do that you feel is outside your current ability? A concept that you wish you could pull off but are uncertain about?

UMMM... hmmmmmmm...

i dont know... i don’t really think any plots are outside of my current ability, but i admire my friends for being so consistent and on the ball with their dignified prose? i can be dignified too, but at some point i'll crash and start writing intensely silly tags

i would like to do more plots where francel is a badass for whatever reason, but that’s just wish fulfillment

17. Which character is the easiest to write? Why do you think that is?

francel is the easiest to write because he has the ugliest emotions

ramza is the hardest because he is always so virtuous

everyone else has varying levels of self control, but with francel i can usually succumb to base impulse reactions. i like his unguarded nature...

When writing a character, do you find it easier to work on their external or internal ticks first? oh, internal, definitely. i think my tags suffer from the fact that i often don’t describe what my characters are doing or what is around them? just... just assume on my behalf lmao.... so IF FRANCEL IS CAUGHT UP IN INTERNAL TL;DR there's a 90% chance he's doing that kicked-puppy stare at the floor

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you? XIV, hard mode: no Haurchefant/WoL.

LMAO THAT HARD MODE...

xiv's fandom has rarely "ruined" pairings for me, as in "i liked them before but i hate them now solely because of fandom"... that said, i think i kind of liked the idea of zephirin and aymeric as a rivalry ship, but i hate when fandom takes the "oMG ZEPH RAPED AYMERIC WHEN HE WAS HELD CAPTIVE" route...

i think this perception of zephirin as this horrible awful evil man comes from the fact that the information on the ward happened after the game was released, so... in the span of time between "zephirin killed haurchefant" and "wait actually zephirin is a virtuous man," people formed their opinions, you know?

but it's still really annoying, and to some degree the misconception persists...

i was also okay with guydelot and sanson at first, but i’m a little annoyed by them now, too... it’s not for any particular reason — i just think the fandom is annoying in the "THEY'RE SOOO MARRIED!! EVEN THE OTHER QUEST NPCS SAY THEY'RE LIKE A MARRIED COUPLE!! THEY’RE SO CANON!!!" way and i’m like Please Shut Up. that said, i guess it’s mostly jealousy because none of my pairings are ever canon, but whatever...

so i guess i'm going with zephirin/aymeric, guydelot/sanson... and oh btw like. urianger/moenbryda to a degree? i remember when the wind-up moenbryda item came out and the english item description was like "you don't want to know what urianger did to this" or something like that, like, i just took it as — like urianger probably dressed it up in a little maid outfit and had it serve him tea or something equally otaku-like?

but the entire fandom was like OMG HE JERKED OFF TO IT OR USED IT AS A SEX DOLL OR SOMETHING and i was like ... okay. like if that's how you're determined to see it, fine, but fandom always takes the worst possible interpretation of something i swear to god

LAUGHS WELL I GUESS MY USUAL TIRADE: i don't think of haurchefant as the perfect cinnamon roll angel and actually he annoys me a little...

my friend just finished running coerthas quests on her balmung alt and like... even she commented on how brusque and condescending he seems to francel? and she has no reason to be tainted by my perception of him, it's just... it’s just that he is brusque and condescending.

back when i liked haurchefant/francel, i told myself that it was just how he acted in the heat of the moment and i was sure he was gentler later... but now we’ve seen so much of haurchefant that from the way he treats francel it really feels more to me like francel was just a friend of convenience. i don’t know. i’m bitter. maybe i’m just bitter because it’s easier to cope that way.

14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

um... well, i think everyone in the ffxiv fandom also agrees that the fandom is annoying...

something i sometimes worry about, but which is not exclusive to ffxiv, is like... people who rp wind up with such a different impression of things than people who just play the game? 

i'm not judging either side on this but... i have rp friends, and i observe the rp community on tumblr/balmung, and i also have friends that are just gamers? and you know, like. sometimes rpers get carried away and invent all these narratives, like i know some tumblr rpers had a bunch of "plots" where a murder mystery happened in ishgard and it was all full of like noble OCs and intrigue or something?

but my gamer friends will sometimes be like, “ishgard is so boring.” so they... see it differently? you wind up viewing the game differently based on what you do in it.

there's also the divide between the english version of the game and the rest of the world, which i bitch about a lot but

just as an example, in english the nobles of ishgard are kind of broadly characterized as being unintelligent and shallow and foppish, whereas the other versions of the game really take a much more neutral approach?

or well i can really only speak for the japanese, but in general the german and french versions of the game are loyal to the japanese, however, 2.0 content was often based on the english...

so, for example, 2.0 content was EN->FR, but ever since 3.0 most of the patches have been JP->EN/DE/FR

however, the EN version continues to make changes, whereas DE and FR don't really change many things!

so i worry a lot about the different perceptions people have of the game, and what that means, like, when i write fanfic...

does my interpretation of coerthas align with other peoples' interpretations of coerthas? probably not. that’s something that’s deeply distressing, as a writer and as someone who prefers to have control, but i don’t know...
