This piece was a WIP for literally MONTHS and I never found the motivation to get back to it 😫 switching to procreate really giving me the art juice back- there's something about... chilling in bed and doodling directly into the screen versus staring at a monitor 👁👄👁 it's really fun!

It'll def take some time to get used to, years of using a regular graphic tablet fucked my hand-eyes coordination HKGJD

As much as it makes me feel bad for still not having updated in such a long time, it really matters that there's people out there who are still waiting for "my silly little meta" to be continued. (I myself count towards that group of people as well, which is just the irony of the situation.)

But, as an honest update: I have a very progressed WIP for the next installment, and many many notes for the rest - aka "it just needs to be written" - although I've not touched anything related to that project in years now, which makes it very hard to pick that pen back up.

I want to finish it. I just don't currently have the motivation for finishing it. And unfortunately a lot of irl stuff on my plate as well, that takes up my time... Like, "lol, I'm trans and finally admitted that to myself" kind of stuff. And many, too many other things.

I'm - unfortunately - never bored.

Hence, I've been quiet around here recently. I hope that'll change. But as of right now, I have no fucking clue when that might be...

(I mean, a series 5 announcement might possibly kick my ass enough... *stares at the Moftiss* 👁👄👁)

“you know you could go to bed, riki. i don’t mind.”

your small voice jolted riki awake. the poor boy was half asleep, face almost completely buried into his pillow from aimlessly scrolling through his phone. your best friend insisted on accompanying you on one of your late-night study sessions via video call, saying that he hasn’t spent enough time with you recently due to his schedule.

“no, no. i’m wide awake, see?” he said in a rush as he forced his eyes wide open with a smile. you giggled at his expression, thinking of how much he acted like a kid sometimes. especially during moments like these, where he was being too stubborn for his own good.

he pouted at your laughter though, not finding anything funny about the situation. “if you’re gonna act like this then maybe i should go to sleep,” he sulked as he turned his back towards you, pulling his blanket tighter around his body.

you decided to play his little game, focusing your attention back on your notes in front of you as you struggled to hide the small smile that crept up your face. you could see riki, from the corner of your eye, taking a peek at his laptop to see your reaction, before quickly turning back away. you couldn’t help yourself but burst out in laughter at his reaction. “you’re adorable,” you said absentmindedly.

and perhaps it was a slip of the tongue to you, but riki could feel his cheeks burning and his heart beat a little faster at your comment.

“ya, get back to studying. you’re saying nonsense already,” he said fully facing you on his laptop now, but he avoided meeting your eyes.

all you could do was bite your tongue, because how dare did it betray you for almost revealing your true feelings for riki.
