i am so glad that i adopted alfie truly everyday has been a lesson in patience and compassion and my heart is so happy when he makes his little bird sounds but also he’s so incredibly weird. he does inconceivable things. i show people pictures and they say “that sure is a cat.” he’s always covered in something. he sleeps exclusively in a storage box i got from tj maxx like 4 years ago. he only comes out at night. he does not like soft blankets and only wants to loaf on hard surfaces or the floor. he doesn’t have any teeth so he’s always dropping food out of his mouth. he hates when i brush my teeth. or sneeze. or wear pants that are swishy. he responds whether i call him alfie or mr alfrodo or alphabet or alphaba. he has a vendetta against my best friend and my sister. he actively moves any pet bed i buy the furthest away from him he can. he’s afraid of the television. he’s eaten goldfish crackers. he won’t wear a collar despite having worn one for all 4 years he lived in shelters. hes not opposed to being pet like you’re playing bongos. he’s chronically ill but has put up such a fight about going to the vet that i’ve had to cancel twice. he will do anything for a cat gogurt. except go to the vet. i love him dearly
