Deuce will never know why you chose him out of everyone in Night Raven College. Yes, he was one of your best friends. Yes, he had been on your side since the moment you two had met. But he never, ever would have imagined that his feelings for you, which grew with every passing day you spent together could ever be reciprocated. Not when he knew that many others (far better, faster, smarter than him) had their eyes on the magicless Prefect who had fought against seven overblots.

Which was why when Crowley announced that he had finally found a way for you to go home, Deuce stayed silent; even as fire burned in his veins and a voice from inside him desperately begged for you to stay, to choose Twisted Wonderland, to choose him, he just smiled and congratulated you.

He watched as Ace, Epel, Jack, Sebek and the rest of your friends, your admirers insisted on spending your remaining days in Twisted Wonderland spectacularly. Everyone wanted to spend time with you, perhaps in hope that they would change your mind about leaving, that you would stay.

But not Deuce. Deuce wouldn't make you choose between your home and him; as much as he wanted to be selfish and beg you to stay, as willing as he was to sacrifice anything for you to decide that Twisted Wonderland was where you were meant to be, he would not act on his desires.

And so he stayed away, watching from a distance as everyone you had endeared yourself to spent the final days you had with them celebrating for you with heavy hearts and longing gazes.

The night before you would finally be sent back home, to your world, Deuce couldn't sleep. Anxiety clawed him from the inside out as a voice that he desperately tried to push down repeated within him what he already knew: he was going to lose you, the one person who believed in him from the start, the one who always helped him with a gentle smile on their face, the one he loved. And he was just going to stand aside and let them go, for their happiness meant everything to him.

So imagine his surprise when you showed up at Heartslabyul Dorm, way past curfew that Riddle, even with his obvious bias towards you would not be able to overlook the rules you had broken, with tears in your eyes and a tremble in your voice as you confessed to him.

To him. When there were literal princes, heirs of huge corporations and some of Twisted Wonderland's most beloved celebrity figures vying for your attention, for your affection, he was the one you confessed to. And while Deuce had always been raised to be courteous by his mother, something he was relearning after his years as a delinquent, he couldn't help himself.

He kissed you.

He kissed you like his life depended on it. Like he was a man starved and you were the finest meal prepared on Earth. Like he was a thirsty traveler finally getting his first drink of water.

Like he loved you.

And he did love you. With everything he had.

He showed you how much he loved you every day. He showed how grateful he was that you chose him, chose Twisted Wonderland, every moment you spent together. He worked harder than ever before, surprising Ace and everyone else with his dedication and determination to become, in his words, "worthy of you".

It didn't matter if you felt he was already worthy enough. He wanted to be the kind of person you could see yourself marrying one day; someone worth having a future with. And his efforts did not go unrewarded.

Deuce will never know why you chose him out of everyone in Night Raven College.

But as he saw you walking down the aisle, looking like an angel sent to grace his life with your ethereal and (quite literally) otherworldly presence, he thought, maybe, he doesn't need to know why you chose him.

*RAMSHACKLE DORM*

“NYAHH! MINION! WHY DID YOU FORGET TO WAKE ME UP!?!?” A loud cry had awoken you from your slumber. Groggily waking up, you looked to see Grim, glaring at you from the floor, ears flaming with anger. Slowly getting up from the bed, you moved over to place your feet on the ground, looking at Grim, apologetically. "I'm sorry Grim. I'm getting up." The minute you said that and stood up from the bed, your vision went blurry and you felt your knees grow weak, causing you to collapse to the ground, earning a shocked cry from Grim. "AH! MINION! ARE YOU OKAY?" You heard the little patter of paws moving closer to you, Grim face peering at you with concern. Your vision was slowly coming back, but now you felt like it was 100 degrees right now and you began to shiver. Grim continue to eye you with concern, moving to place his paw hand against your head. "Your head is very warm."

You tried to get up from the ground, but there was no energy in your legs to move, thankfully the ramshackle ghosts flew in and helped you up, placing you back on to the bed. "Thank you." The ghosts gave a smile before disappearing. Placing a hand on your head, you felt the warmth radiating off on you, making you realize that you probably have come down with something. "I'm sorry Grim, It looks like your going to have to go to class without me today." You spoke to Grim, as he still looked worried. "I'll be okay Grim. Just let the teachers know that I'm sick okay?" Grim gave you a nod, and scattered away to the front door, leaving you alone.

You maneuvered your body to lay back against the bed, pulling the blanket back over yourself. Since you didn't have any meds at the moment, you were gonna have to sleep the sickness off, hoping that you had enough energy to head to Sam's to purchase some medicine. It would have been nice if Crowley provided you with some proper necessities when you first arrived in this world, but knowing how irresponsible he was, you expected him not to care. Heaving a sigh, your adjusted your head on the pillow, hoping you would be able to fall asleep.

**4 Hours Later**

A sudden softness was placed on your forehead, causing you to arouse from your sleep. Upon opening your eyes, your vision unblurred seeing a certain red headed person gazing at you. "Ah, you are awake." A regal voice spoke to you. It took you a minute to realize it was Riddle, the dorm leader of Heartslabyul, dressed in his school uniform, who was looking down above you, as you laid on your bed. Widening your eyes, you were surprised to see him here. "Oh Riddle! What are you doing here?" You lifted your body a bit off the bed, going from laying down to sitting on it. Riddle's usual stern eyes were gazing at you with softness, as continued to stand near your bed. "Grim had announced your sudden ailment to the whole class when he arrived. Professor Trein understood and made it aware to the other teachers as well after class. Trey and the others wanted to attend and see how you were doing, but I told them I would be the one to check on you and see how you were doing, as well as bring the assignments that you missed during class."

You smiled that your friends cared so much about you, and happy that Riddle had come to see you, but you knew this was a burden to him, since he had many duties he needed to perform at his dorm. "I'm happy you came to check on me, Riddle, but you can head back." Riddle's grayish blue eyes gave you a strict gaze, as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "My duties at Heartslabyul can be postponed at the moment. Besides according to the Rule: 809- The queen must make sure all of her subjects are taking care of when sick." You giggled at that, telling Riddle he made that up. His cheeks had flared pink after you said that, head turned to the side in embarrassment, "A-and If I did, what of it?" Aww it was cute how much of a tsundere he was. "Riddle, you could have just said you were worried about me." Riddle froze at that, mouth opening and closing like a fish, before he heaved a sigh, looking a you with kind eyes and a soft smile. "I-I was worried for you."

His hand reached over and patted your head, before moving to place against your forehead again, checking your temperature. "Oh dear, you are burning up! When had you taken your medicine?" You had told Riddle, who hadn't taken anything, which caused him to widen his eyes in shock. "YOU HAVE BEEN HERE ALL BY YOURSELF AND HAD NOT TAKEN ANY FORM OF MEDICINE OR CONSUMED ANY FOOD OR DRINK?!?" His voice had reached a booming volume, causing you to wince. "I don't have any of that stuff in this dorm. Crowley doesn't provide me with enough Thaumarks to afford any of that stuff. I was hoping to rest a bit and then if I felt better, I would get something at Sams." Riddle wasn't upset at you, he was just more mad that you weren't getting proper care. He was, however, enraged with the headmage. He did offer to give you a place to stay, but to think he had neglected to give you enough funds and necessities to live at the dorm, had him fuming. If he was in front of him right now, he would Off With His Head.

Calming down, Riddle gazed at you apologetically, "I sincerely apologize for raising my voice. I am not angry with you, but you will not be able to heal the sickness that way." Riddle had risen from the chair, and started to make his way to out of your room. "I will go get the necessary supplements from Sam. It will only be a moment, so I instruct you to remain in bed. Understood?" Riddle had turned his head back to look at you, and you nodded at his statement before settling back down on the bed. As you watched him leave the room, your eyes grew heavy again and you drifted back to sleep.

**A Couple Minutes Later**

You woke up to the sounds of the door opening, and lifted you head to see Riddle had come back, carrying a tray. His hair was a bit unkept and his clothes looked a bit ruffled as he walked closer to you. Making his way towards you, he sat back down on the chair, and placed the tray on the nearby table. Grabbing the bowl from the tray, Riddle handed it to you. "I have prepared some tomato soup for you. It should be enough to fill you up and help with the sickness. After your done, I'll give you some medicine to take." The bowl in your hands was warm, and the broth was a very dark red, which warmed your heart. "I didn't know you could cook Riddle." You smiled back at Riddle, as his face flushed a bit. "I-it is my second attempt at preparing something like this. I had cooked for Trey when he was sick with Lilia-senpais help, but from what I have heard from Sebek and Silver, it was a dire mistake to have asked him, but Trey didn't complain and ate it all." Riddle face had drew into a soft smile, as he remembered that time he tended for the vice dorm lead. Your heart soared seeing Riddle like this, behind all that stern exterior and going by the rules attitude, he was a kind loving boy, who cared deeply for those he cared about.

Thanking Riddle for the soup, you grabbed the spoon and lifted it to your mouth, tasting it. You hummed at the pleasant taste, it wasn't overly amazing, but it wasn't bad either, it was simple, which warmed you greatly. "Its good." You saw Riddles shoulders untense, as his body relaxed, knowing now that the soup he made was satisfactory and not a disaster. After you had finished eating, you handed the bowl back to Riddle, as he placed it down, and then grabbed a glass of water, and some pills that were on the tray, "Here you go. This should help with the fever and body aches." Grabbing the medicine, you swallowed it and chase it down after with water. "Thank you." Riddle responded back with a nod, as he placed the glass back down, then grabbed a cooling pad and placed it on your forehead, causing you to giggle, causing Riddle to raise an eyebrow. "May I ask why you are laughing?" "Sorry..sorry. It's just seeing you like this. So different from how you usually are at your dorm" Riddle stilled at that, not expecting that response. Darting his head down, his hands began to twiddle, something he often detested when others did it. "My past was always rules, rules, rules, study, study, study......there was never a time for me to engage in other things or interact with others, except Trey and Chenya, but they were rare occurrences. The more I spend time with you, the more I discover new things and different sides to myself."

His eyes remained downcast, but his face held new resolution. This is the riddle you have grew the love, yet his bossy side was adorable too. "Well I like both sides of you, if you were wondering." Giving him a playful smile, Riddle couldn't hold back a laugh from seeing it on your face, returning your little flirt, with his trademark smirk, "Heh~ You're quite a bold one, aren't you, my rose." His fingers then raised to give your forehead a little flick, which only made you giggle more. "Come now, its time for you to get some rest. You won't be able to make a full recovery like this." His fingers pointed to the pillow on your bed, instructing you to lay down, which you did. Settling yourself against on the bed, you turned to your side to gaze at Riddle. "Will you stay by my side until I fall asleep?" Riddle smiled kindly back at you, moving closer from where he was seated, giving your forehead a soft kiss. "I will." Leaning back, Riddle started to hum a soft melody for you, helping you to fall back asleep. After a few minutes, your eyes had shut, and your breathing had slowed. His gray eyes remained locked on you, admiring how soft you looked when asleep. Getting up from the chair, Riddle was ready to depart from you, making a mental note to remind himself to check on you again later. As he made his way towards the door, he turned back around, peering at you one more time. "Sweet dreams, my rose."

A FloRid Analysis using science (but only at the beginning)

I would like to preface that post by saying that I am not a biology -or scientific- expert at all. I am a humanities major -more specifically a foreign languages one- who just happen to have developped a huge hyperfixation on Twisted Wonderland, its story and characters. And it so happen that FloRid is my OTP. So, brainrot happened.

The hyperfixation and brainrot went so far that I started to hoard facts about octopodes and eels here and there, reading scientific papers written by biologist when the last time I had a science class was like... In first year of high school (en 2nde, pour mes amis francophones)

Okay, so. FloRid. Floyd and Riddle. One of the most appreciated ships in the twst community, being the 4th ship with the most fanfics on Ao3 (with 727 fanfics when I’m writing these words), just behind KaliJami, MalleYuu and RookVil (in this order). I saw a lot of people discussing these two with varying degrees of media literacy (I see you, who claims that this ship is “problematic” because it is a bully x victim ship.). And while I really like to read all of those takes (except the bully x victim one. You’re missing the point sweetie by saying that) and I wanted to add my two cents on that matter.

A while ago, back in September 2024, I stumbled on a twitter thread on FloRid. I can’t find it again, too far back, sorry for that. Basically, what the thread was about, was that Floyd’s interest in Riddle spawned in the fact that Riddle is red, and red doesn’t exist underwater.(see photos below)

It isn’t really that red doesn’t "exist" in aquatic environments, moreso that the wavelength for that colour is absorbed by the environment not that deep (around 6 metres underwater for those (like me) who use the metric system). Oh, by the way, if someone has an explanation of why the hot pink is still as vibrant that deep, I would love to hear that !

So basically, red starts to "disappear" around 6 metres deep, and is completely black around 24 metres deep. It is, let’s be honest, not that deep, especially when we compare to the depths of the ocean.

In fact, red "disappears" in what is called the epipelagic zone - or sunlight zone - the first level of the ocean (see photo below). Which is interesting since, in our world, all species of moray eels live in that zone. And, as it is well known, the Tweels are based on moray eels (possibly Green Moray Eels if we follow the colour scheme of their characters), so, in our world, they would live not that deep below the surface (at depths down to 40 metres (130ft)). Which isn’t true in the game, as it is mentioned multiple times that the Coral Sea is deep below the surface.

As we can see on the picture, the Sun won’t go deeper than 1,000 metres (3280ft) below the surface, and the Octatrio mentions once or twice that there’s no sunlight where they come from. On the wiki, we can read :

"It is said to be very dark and cold and has a smaller population than countries primarily inhabited by humans"

So, where am I heading with that ? Well, did you know that Moray eels can’t see colours ? Indeed, in a research done in 2011 by researchers of the Tawain Ocean Research Institute as well as the Sensory Biology Laboratory of the Academia Sinica in Taiwan, simply named "A comparative study on the visual adaptations of four species of moray eels" , the researchers have proven that the four species of moray eels studies are colourblind. They, in fact, can only perceive green and its shades/tints, meaning that, even if it was possible to perceive the colour red underwater, Floyd, in his eel form, wouldn’t be able to see it.

There is a technical side, one that shows that moray eels only have one type cone cells (cells present in our eyes to process colours) in their eyes, to explain this colour blindness (in comparison, human beings typically have three types of cone cells : red, green and blue). The only type of cone cells moray eels possess, as I mentioned earlier, is the green one. The closest example we, as humans, can have regarding this sort of colour blindness is the red-green colour blindness (here, "protanopia"), or the complete bolour blindness ("monochromatism")

(if you can’t see the difference at some point, I have some news for you...)

Basically, in the aquatic world, everyone has protanopia since red isn’t perceived, but moray eels are monochromastics since their eyes can only process greens. (Can I add that the colour palette for tritanopia is really pretty ?)

In the game, it is mentioned multiple times that Floyd couldn’t perceive red at all before coming on land. And the best example is the Stitch event (aka the FloRid event. There’s so much content on these two inside) where Floyd explicitly says that red looks black underwater.

"Colours look a lot different underwater. It only sticks out ‘cuz it’s on land. A red like this would look black in the deep sea where we’re from. You’d barely be able to tell it apart from a rock."

Here, Floyd only presents the fact that the wavelength for red is absorbed by its environment. He says nothing on the fact that he and Jade are supposedly completely colour blind (and just. Basically blind since moray eels are famously known for their shitty vision) before taking their potions. And we have seen time and time again that both twin’s vision and perception of colours on land is pretty good. Just the fact that Floyd can note how red Riddle is, as well as how he was able to see him in a crowd during their orientation (or just how he is able to see small details here and there), is a good indicator of that change between their life in the sea and their life on land. Would it have been funny, and really interesting to make the Tweels colourblind on land ? Yes. Yes it would have been amazing. But alas, I love my two chaos junkies the way they are and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Where did I want to go with that ? Well, if it wasn’t obvious already, I think that Floyd’s interest in Riddle spawns from the fact that Riddle represents something inherently new for Floyd.

When you think of the colour red in regards of twst, you would think of Riddle at some point. I mean, the guy is in the red dorm, his hair is red, he gets red from rage really easily (and the colour usually associated with rage is red), he’s based on the Queen of Hearts, the red queen... Oh and his element in his dorm Uniform card is fire. Red (even if we can completely debate over the fact that fire IRL tends to be more orange than red). That’s a lot of red for a 160cm tall guy, don’t you think ?

Oh, and Riddle was the first person to send Floyd flying, as highlited in Floyd’s Beans Camo vignette.

"Y’know, back at my orientation, a guy way tinier than me used magic to blast me through the air. All I did was razz him a little, and he just SNAPPED. His face was so red, it was almost like he was on fire"

"There weren’t many guys stronger than me under the sea. But here ? This school is crawling with people like that."

Twisted Wonderland, Floyd Beens Camo Vignette,"Nowhere Near the Best" Part.3

If it isn’t said outwradly that the "guy way tinier" than Floyd is Riddle, is it easily understandable from the whole Beanfest event, with Vil telling Epel that Riddle and Floyd had been at each other’s throat ever since their orientation (while adding that every orientation he lived had something disrupting it. What happened during your orientation Vil ? I want to know !), we can also undertsand that the guy was Riddle with Epel’s reaction, stating that "Vil wasn’t kidding about what he said before", referencing Vil’s words.

Oh, and, wan we talk just a second about the groovy of that card ?

In the vignette, this scene happens between the two quotes I used (the tiny guy sending Floyd flying and the fact that Floyd’s pretty strong). Let’s be true five seconds, trying to not look with a shipping lense through that.

WHO LOOKS LIKE THAT WHILE TELLING THAT KIND OF STORY ???

I mean, even while taking Floyd’s persona and character as a whole into account, that’s just the face someone makes when sharing a good memory with a loved one, or someone they’re proud of (my own twin makes that face when they talk about their -adopted- children).

And I even went to ask friends of mine about that face, without telling them the context just "okay, what do you think is happening right now ?" and (without taking into account that one friend who made a lousy joke) the majority of them just answered "he’s ogling his crush". And I mean. Yeah... Yeah that’s definetly the face someone would make when watching their crush. (after telling the whole context, the first answer I got was "Yeah no, he’s masochistic" and I can’t really go against that...). Most of those convo where in French and in between is littered more private convo so I won’t give you any screenshot of that, just know that my friends -some of which aren’t even in fandom spaces- are just as unanimous than I am. That eel is down bad.

On my first draft for that document, I spent a whole 10 paragraphs on their orientation, going as far as trying to explain that Floyd’s interest in Riddle wasn’t firstly based on his hair colour, nor really on his size, but on his strength. I won’t go as deeply into details as in my first draft, but let’s just be clear on that point.

It is said multiple times -as well as shown- that students are expected to wear their hoods during orientation. We see that during the prologue as well as during most Ceremonial Robes vignettes that takes place during (or diretcly after) orientation. For example in Epel’s vignette, we see him and Vil wearing their hoods up, and it is mentioned once or twice by the Savanaclaw guys that they have to keep their hoods up during orientation (which brings them a lot of problems, seeing that the hoods aren’t made for their ears). So, in no world would have Floyd seen Riddle’s hair colour before his altercation with Riddle. His interest first spawned because of Riddle’s magical strength. And the fact that our little guy became housewarden only one week after orientation cemented that interest. I mean, someone that strong ought to be interesting, no ?

Oh and, I won’t go into details here, since it’s not on NA server already, but during Floyd’s dream section, and from what I understand from a reddit post explaining the Octatrio dreams, Floyd starts to remember reality after Silver mentions what really happened during their orientation, with Riddle sending him flying. Ooooh I can’t wait to see that part on the eng server ! More info pleaaaase.

Another point of interest of mine is Floyd’s nicknames. They are based on people’s characteristics, whatever that characteristic may be. For that, Vil is Betta since betta fish are renowed for being beautiful, Ruggie is sharksucker since he’s (literally) sucking off of Leona. And Riddle is Goldfish(ie) (in the sense that officially Floyd calls Riddle "Goldfish" but everyone in the fandom ended up calling him "Goldfishie").

Some points on Goldfish here. First of all, despite their name in English, Goldfish in the modern world tend to be more red than gold-coloured (in French they are called "poisson rouge", literally "red fish" for that fact), but they also are an invasive species once released into the wild. Oh and they are mostly kept as pets by humans.

And, who was kept as a "pet" most of his life by someone, is famously red, and once he was "released" into the world acted somewhat invasive in the life of other people ?

At the time of giving Riddle his nickname, Floyd wouldn’t have known what was going on behind closed doors (or maybe he knew, with Jade fetching information on anyone and everyone for Azul, it’s a possibility) but I find that really funny that Riddle’s nickname suits him on more points than him being small and red (I’m putting once again the screenshot of Floyd saying that, but it’s the exact same one as the one I put at the very beginning of the analysis)

I’d like to point out that this is the first -and only if I’m not mistaken- instance of Floyd explaining the reasoning behind one of his nicknames. While I saw him name other characters here and there (with this specific card, he names professor Trein at one point in his Home Taps) he never goes to length to explain the reasoning behind a nickname. And to be honest, the reason behind this screenshot was to go scream at my friends that he’s completely unpromted. Riddle just spawns in the conversation out of the blue. And, I mean, when you’re interested in someone/something, you usually find a way to include them/it into the conversation. Especially when you’re neurodivergent.

And we come to my next point : Floyd’s neurodivergence.

The boy has ADHD. Is it canon ? Well, it’s not said clearly but it is shown in some points. ShoujoISM made a really good video on that matter some time ago, and that video explains my own point of view on the subject really well, so I won’t go into that many details here. But, if you’re not really interested in watching a 52 minutes long video essay (which, let’s be honest, with the attention span of our generation, would be completely fair), I’ll try to summarise as fast as possiblie with just that sentence : Floyd checks most of the points of diagnosis for ADHD in the DSM-V-TR.

As a fellow ADHD-er with a huge hyperfixation on mental illnesses, I tend to have fun seeing if some characters check the boxes for some diagnosis I headcannon them to have. And, after watching that video, I opened my version of the DSM-V-TR (yes. I have a pdf of that book.) and checked myself every criteria for ADHD and... yeah, no, he fits into the boxes so well. And with the prevalence of neurodivergence in the cast (especially depressive characters), it wouldn’t be extrapolation to say that when Yana created Floyd, she had ADHD in mind.

One of the main points of ADHD is hyperfixation (aka, what is driving me to write fanfic and analyses of those characters) and hyperfocus. And Floyd is shown having periods of hyperfocus. Like that time he hyperfocused on learning how to dunk for 2 days straight. Azul even makes note of that in Floyd’s Tropical Wear vignette.

Usually, a period of hyperfocus can be a relatively "short" period of time, but it so happens that in people with ADHD, who usually struggle with this exact perception of time, hyperfocus periods can be counted as pretty long for neurotypicals, or neurodivergent people that don’t experience them. As someone who has lived through hyperfocus periods, time seems to just. Not exist, so for Floyd to spend two whole days trying to master a dunk just because it looked fun ; it doesn’t seem that long for me (as a personnal experience, I was once so engrossed and hyperfocused on a paper for uni that I spend more or less a whole week on that paper, skipping classes and everything else...)

And for me, Floyd has a sort of hyperfocus on Riddle. Not really in the sens that he can spend days thinking of him and do nothing else, but more on the sense that he can find the other in a crowd easily, and is just looking for Riddle really often. In Floyd’s School Uniform vignette, it is implied that Floyd looking for Riddle in the library is a common occurence, and it is shown multiple times in the game (in the main story as well as in events) that when confronted to a crowd, Floyd will find Riddle first. For example, in the scene at the beginning of Book 4 where everyone is in the Mirror Chamber, the whole Heartshackle gang is discussing, surrounded by literally the whole school, Floyd makes a beeline towards our group and the first person he talks to is Riddle. Same at the beginning of the Stitch event, when Floyd comes into the library and comes across our group, the first person he talks to is Riddle. Keyhole vision, this is what I call this.

And hyperfixation. You would mostly know what this is is you’re chronically online or in the mental illness side of social medias (especially tiktok). From what I experienced and what I saw with my ADHD friends, sometimes, hyperfocus is caused by a hyperfixation. And in the case of Floyd and his "I really want to learn how to dunk" mindset at that time, we can quite easily conclude that that state of hyperfocus was born from his hyperfixation at the time on basketball.

It is mentioned at some point in the game that Floyd’s interest is fleeting, meanning that even his hyperfixations don’t last that long (once again, from a neurotypical point of view). He kinda abandonned basketball at some point, still going to his club activities when he deems them to be interesting. But do you know what kind of activity he has deemed interesting for quite a while now ? Bothering Riddle. It has been a whole year (at the beginning of the game) since their first meeting, and this dopamine addicted eel is still looking for his Goldfishie. Because Goldfishie is interesting. Riddle keeps on being interesting to Floyd, the same way that Azul is. And, I mean, from what we can see when we see Azul and Riddle’s interactions with Floyd, they don’t seem to go out of their ways to entertain him, and act mostly "in character" for them (Azul being overly calculating and mumbling about the problems that Floyd causes and Riddle being quick to enrage). Yet, Floyd keeps finding things interesting with them. I mean, outside of Jade, Floyd stuck himself to Azul (and Riddle to some extent) the longest. So they must have something in them that makes them so interesting to him (I have a whole lot of rambling on Riddle and Azul since they’re my fav characters (along with the Tweels) so I get you Floyd. They’re really interesting).

And, in a way, Floyd seems to care on a deeper level only to the people he deems intereting (aka. Jade, Azul and Riddle). We can see his care for his brother in multiple ways, his care for Azul in Book 3 before Azul Overblots (really well depicted in the manga btw) and his care for Riddle is littered here and there.

First of all, begining of Book 4. Floyd (and the rest of the Octatrio) comes to meet us in the Mirror Chamber and... Proposes to Riddle to stay with him over the winter holiday ? My boy you’re really down bad you know that ?

Seriously, we can easily understand that Floyd realised that Riddle was hesitant to go back to his mother for the break, and his first reaction is not "well, you can always count on your friends, and go to them" (Trey even proposed !). No. His first reaction was like, welp, you can always stay with me. The way the chapters are made, Book 4 chapter 3 ends with Floyd’s interjection.

"What’sa matter Goldfishie ? Don’t wanna go home ? Then, there’s an idea : don’t. We’re not. C’mon, you can join us in the stay-at-school club. Heh heh !"

It’s literally the first two dialogues of the chapter. I didn’t go further, but Riddle gets irked by Floyd sticking his nose in his business and Jade chimes in to temperate things between the two. Floyd then retorts something quite interesting for me  :

"Aw, c’mon Jade. It’s boring spending every new year with the same old suspects. Besides, Goldfishie’s so teeny, I’m sure Azul would love to keep him as a pet !"

Riddle answers by becoming all red from rage and is really close to trying to collar Floyd. The rage is defused by Trey and the rest of Heartslabyul, but I’d like to point something quite interesting. In the end of chapter 3 (after having discussed with the Savanaclaw trio), Riddle is shown to be out of the loop, Ace and Grim making remarks on that note :

"Huh, he’s soundin’ kinda defeated."

"Oh, right. The housewarden’s got an extreme case of helicopter parenting waiting for him at home. No wonder he’s not enthused about heading back."

We can more or less see the Heartshackle gang trying to cheer up their friend, but nothing seems to work. Until Floyd appears, makes a beeline for the redhead and angers him. And I mean, a reaction, even as "bad" as that one is still a better outcome than whatever he was feeling before. Even Trey notices it.

"Good grief. Well, at least he’s got his moxie back."

It is quite easy to see, with minimum media literacy at play, that what Floyd was doing was trying to ellicit a reaction -any reaction- from Riddle, in a convoluted way of, not cheering him up per say, but making him concentrate on something else, something that is not what hell would be waiting for him at his house. And he succeded. Any punishment he would have possibly faced hadn’t Riddle been stopped by Trey and Cater would have been fair game in his book (and he would have defused the spell either way).

I’m probably over analysing that but I can’t remember a moment in the whole game (in the parts I played at least) where Floyd is shown caring that much for someone. I mean, his words are the literal reason why Azul overblotted (I’m pretty sure that if Floyd hadn’t say what he said to Azul at that time, the overblot would have happened, yes, but a bit later if not at all). Floyd is the exact definition of not really caring outwardly for people ! But here, he is shown caring -in some convoluted ways once again- for Riddle who is clearly distressed about going back to his mother. And I found that the jab of keeping Riddle as a pet is somewhat sarcasticly funny. I mean, Riddle’s mother is treating her son like a doll, or a pet to train and show off. It shows, in some ways, that Floyd is aware of what happens in Riddle home life at that point in the story. Was it through rumors after his overblot, or did he piece the puzzle himself after havig seen Riddle’s reaction to going back to his mother’s during their first year ? We will probably never know.

What I also want to say by that, is that Floyd is deeply intelligent. Not just academically, but emotionally too. He’s probably the most emotionally intelligent guy in the whole cast, contrary to what he lets on (reminds me of Perceval in Kaamelott in some ways). He also possesses a really good sense of ebservation. Once again, in his Beans Camo vignette, he realises that if he lets Epel grow freely, the little guy might become a worthy opponent.

"I was gonna let him get a little roughed up to remind him who's boss, but hey. If I let Guppy keep swimmin', he might grow into a meal worth eating one day. I'll lay off him for now. After all, it'll be way more fun to crush him when he's strong and all sure of himself. Aha ha."

And I’m not sure if, at the time of the vignette happening, Epel has developped his unique magic. It’s possible, but not of good use since the use of magic is prohibited during Beanfest.

Anyway, his ability of perception (which I find quite funny since eels are famously known for having shitty vision) is also highlighted in my previous point. He realised, on his own, that Riddle wasn’t doing quite alright. No one told him "hey, your favourite ‘victim’ isn’t doing well", he just went to make sure that Riddle as okay on his own volition. And it’s not the first time something like that happens. Indeed, in the first halloween event, at the end of it, we can see Floyd caring for both Jade and Riddle. He forces the first one to stop working and sit down for a while, and he pushes the other to eat more. Here, it’s Floyd’s reaction towards Riddle that interests me, not because that post isn’t on Jade and Floyd, but more because it is prompted before Floyd’s entrance in the scene that Jade has been working a lot, while it’s never mentioned once before that Riddle hasn’t eaten enough.

"Psh. Teapot tyrant, meet kettle. You haven't had more than a couple'a nibbles yourself, Goldfishie. Even a real goldfish eats more than that. Aren't you a growing boy?"

"I'll have you know I consume my recommended caloric intake every day, without any excess or deficiency!"

A bit farther, at the very end of the same chapter, Floyd grabs Riddle and brings him to the buffet,       forcing him to eat.

"You got it! C'mon, Goldfishie!"

"I told you, Floyd— Would you stop tugging?! Argh!"

It is easy to understand that Floyd is used to Eating Disorders, especially considering he is friends with Azul, who is the reference in EDs in the cast (I mean, just see his backstory and read through Book 3 and you’ll have the big picture). Riddle’s ED isn’t the same as Azul’s, in the sense that it isn’t self inflicted, but ingrained in him. And for the sceptics, EDs aren’t just anorexia or bulimia. The fact that Riddle counts his calories and takes notes of every intake of food is very much a symptom of an eating disorder (this is another proof of Madam Rosehearts’ abuse on her son btw). And what does Floyd do ? he takes care of bringing Riddle with him to the buffet. Especially after seeing the reaction the boy had when cake was mentioned. Again, no one mentioned Riddle before Floyd intevened, only after that did Ruggie make a comment on that fact. (I also would like to point the change made to the idiom "pot, meet kettle" here. It’s funny as hell and shows a form of intelligence, because, being able to modify an idiom to one’s whims asks for a deep undertsanding of a language and its codes).

It was the last bit of trivia I had to analyse for the time being. At the time when I write these words, we only have 116 chapter of Book 7, so we haven’t encountered the dreams of the Octatrio yet, and even if I keep myself updated on what happens on the jp server I am not aware of everything that happens in details (I can’t read japanese for the life of me so I won’t play on jp server at all).

I realise that I have gone away from my first point of trying to analyse Floyd’s interest in Riddle using only biology and ended up doing a full-on analysis of FloRid moments... Oops...

So, let’s conclude once and for all that lit- *checks the word count* that analysis, shall we ?

While I think that Floyd’s interest in Riddle first spawned during their orientation (and his dream sequence gives us a hint on that matter), I think that Floyd’s continually renewed in Riddle isn’t just some sort of simple interest, but some form of infatuation. I mean. The anthology manga is there for a reason (even if its canonicity is debatable). We can see in various examples that Floyd cares for Riddle to some extent, the same way he cares for Azul (or Jade, but it’s not really the same form of care), and that his neurodivergence makes him hyperfixate on Riddle for some reason or another. I didn’t delve into my "theory" that Floyd might have some form of Bipolar Disorder because it hasn’t as much proof that it is here than the ADHD theory/headcanon, and it’s more a headcanon of mine than a fully fledged theory I have. Either way, it is clear that our moody eel is deeply attached to the teapot tyrant, and I think I was quite clear on that matter.

Now, and before I save this document and post it, I would like to talk about something. The "bully x victim" trope that opposants to the ship see. While I can understand the idea, I think it is not taking into account the numerous events where Floyd and Riddle are together. Sure, in the main story it is easily seen that Floyd has a favourite "victim" to his overly excitable moods, but a bully x victim would imply that Riddle isn’t able of defending himself. And he is. He just lets Floyd act that way because, whatever he will do, nothing would deter the eel. He is literally the guy that sent Floyd flying on their first day, for Samael’s sake ! And, I mean, Beanfest and the Stitch event do tell us a different story than "Riddle is a damsel in distress, victim to the whims of evil evil Floyd". Even in the halloween events  we can see that they -at least- tolerate each other. But, I get it, when the game fist came out in english (because I see that discourse more on western fandom spaces (thank you to my friend who acts like a translator for me to scroll through the jp side of the fandom)), people didn’t have any access to the second Beanfest event, even less to the Stitch event, and were only privy to Floyd’s School Uniform vignette and their interaction in Book 2. But right now, with everything we have for us, I think that this argument is just plain media illiteracy. You can say that I’m over analysing Beanfest, sure. But don’t come at me for things that are clearly said in the game (like the Stitch event or Halloween events). And please, by Demon’s law, let people enjoy their silly ships however they like. I’m not coming at you for liking a ship I don’t have a particular affinty to, to come at me and call me deranged for shipping what is just basically a Red and Blue ship.

Oh, and, last point before I close that document. At one point, Jade says something that stuck with me.

"Heh... As long as you’re enjoying yourself, Floyd."

Okay so this has been something I've been chewing on for a long while. About making this post I mean.

This one is to those who actively ingest fanfiction but seem to think it's okay to just read free fiction that people have put time and thought and crafted prose for your enjoyment and do nothing in return.

All we ever ask for and all we ever want is for y'all to AT THE VERY LEAST hit that kudos button if you like the work. That is the BARE MINIMUM of what you SHOULD be doing. Especially all of you who say you're too nervous to comment or don't wish to be perceived. And if you don't want your account on the list, you can log out and send a guest kudos.

But as I said, BARE MINIMUM. If you loved the fic, if you got something out of it that left you feeling good and energized (or whatever angst does for y'all) then I want to take a moment and strongly urge you to comment, subscribe (if a wip), and bookmark those works. Did you know there's an option to even mark it as a Fic Recommendation? You can put notes in to and say why you liked it and things like that (DO NOT DO A RATING IN PUBLIC BOOKMARKS HOWEVER). And, you can indeed make them private! The writer still gets the number added to their stats but your bookmark we won't see.

Anyway, I now wanna turn your attention to Exhibit A:

This is a list of my best performing fics. Do you see the problem with this? The green highlights are the hits I've received for those fics. The red is the Kudos and comment threads. Now the kudos is obviously right?

Let's look at my number one fic right now, Accidentally in Love (a Malleyuu fic from Twisted Wonderland fandom). It's the seventh fic in a romance series. As you can see, it's doing great as far as hits, right? And I know it's an amazing fic from the comments I have received and just from rereading it myself. Note, I am probably the biggest bully to myself as @sunshineandteddybears and @mellosdrawings and @romantichopelessly can tell you in great detail. So when I am saying it's really damn good, you can probably trust it's gonna be pretty damn good. And yet, a fic that has 4K hits only has 119 kudos. And now to bring your attention to the comment threads. So honestly with how bad readers are on actually commenting (which by the way if you log off you can send anonymously as a guest—you'll have to put in your email address but we authors won't see that)... 107 seems pretty good right? But you guys don't see that. You see what's on the info for the story. Unfortunately, on the fic info at the top of the story, it counts every single comment (including the Author's). (The comment threads is just every single starting comment, i.e. the first comment received from each commenter.)

The thing is, I—and probably quite a few other writers—do respond to every single comment.

So that means where the info on my fic itself says 230 comments, in reality, I'm at half that when I subtract my half of the comments. So that's actually 115 comments from other people. So some people might see that 230 and think oh they got a lot of comments so I don't think they want to hear from me or I can't be fucked and they're already doing good so.

NO. NO. NO. Do not look at the numbers as a guide if a fic is good or not. Do not look at the numbers and think that we don't need or deserve to get any more. And finally WE WANT TO HEAR FROM Y'ALL.

Excuses need to stop.

Speaking of numbers. Here's my over all stats current on AO3.

In the 3 years on this AO3 account (I've had others in the past and accounts on ff.net and live journal. I'm an oldie fanfic writer lol. 21 years of fanfic. My gods. 🤣) It didn't used to be like this guys. Back in the day I'd get 12 plus comments on a chapter and this is on stuff a teenager wrote.

We have got to get back to the point of supporting each other and building each other up. Also while I'm at it, I have a huge beef with the fact that fanartists get so much more positive feedback and replies and comments, but the thing is, even their numbers are skewed. You can go into the notes of a fanart on here that has 10k notes to see they have maybe 100-1K reblogs (if that, I'm being generous) and maybe 10 or so replies (if turned on) and the rest are all likes. EVERYONE has been on here long enough by now to know that likes do nothing to get a post in the algorithm and tags only do so much. Reblogs are the only way their art (or our fanfictions for people who post them on here) gets seen! By sharing!

So y'all gotta get better. Yes, we write for ourselves first, but ultimately a story is meant to be shared with everyone and feedback should not be optional if you're actively reading the fics or viewing the art for free and enjoyed it!

Symbiotic Relationship: Eels and Shrimps have a Symbiotic Relationship. Jade and Floyd have that with Yuu, she treats them as friends and not enemies, in return for her friendship, they protect her. So, when Yuu gets badly injured, Jade and Floyd protect what is theirs. AO3 - Complete

Charmed by the Sea: If Yuu had a madol for being in the middle of someone's family nonsense by accident, she'd have three madol, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened three times. Of course, it would've been nice if Jade and Floyd had warned her first about their parents visiting. Sequel to "Symbiotic Relationship". AO3 - In progress.

Stolen Jackets: Yuu somehow manages to gain a collection of stolen jackets from the NRC boys that they had left at Ramshackle. She decides to wear them around the campus, much to the dismay of some of the owners of the jackets. AO3 and Tumblr - Currently writing, infrequent updates. Next up: Leona (Clubwear)

Do you think it's okay for me to write for TWST even though I don't play the game?

Personally, I don’t think anyone ever “needs” to play a game in order to enjoy it and create for it. Sometimes you can just observe art from a distance and appreciate it, or you like hearing about how it brings joy to people you know. Maybe you like the aesthetic of it but can’t really see yourself getting heavily involved with it. Perhaps you don’t like gacha games so you can’t be motivated to engage with the mechanics. There are many possible avenues.

In the case of a game like Twisted Wonderland, there may be accessibility reasons why you don’t play since the game is only in English and Japanese—and even then, maybe your country doesn’t have a server to host it. In fact, I know there are many people who are TWST fans yet only read translations or watch videos about it without having played the game themselves. Maybe they found the manga or the light novel first. Whenever the anime comes out, people might discover TWST through that. We have to consider these aspects and be more open-minded about what constitutes as a “fan” rather than gatekeeping the label of “fan” to only those who play tie game for no discernible reason. What defines someone as a fan or not isn’t the labels other people put on you—you are the one that decides what you want to label yourself, and whether you are a fan or not.

I believe that also extends to content creation in fandom spaces. No one’s stopping you from making fan art or writing fanfic (or whatever it may be) just because you don’t play the game, and nor should you need anyone’s thumbs-up to do so. When you think that you do, you’re only imposing an arbitrary limit and holding yourself back. You have to be confident in deciding what you want to make without worrying how others might perceive you for it.

Now, that being said 💦 I don’t mean to scold anyone for asking me questions, but I feel that I again need to stress this: I am an internet stranger. My opinion or approval/disapproval shouldn’t hold any more weight than the next person’s. You should not put too much value in the advice of an internet stranger either. You shouldn’t care whether or not I think something is okay for you to do. The only person who can give you “permission” is you!

I understand that maybe people may feel uncertain about themselves or are looking for reassurance from a third party, but I do not feel I am the right place to go to for these kinds of things. Even though I answer in earnest, questions of this nature make me feel like I’m being put on the spot and pressured to provide timely comfort.

I don’t feel comfortable continuously being asked for very personalized advice like this; asks like this push on the boundary and start getting into uncomfortable territory for me. I’m here to talk about Disney anime pretty boys. I’m not here to be a fandom counselor 😅 Does that make sense?

This isn’t the only time I’ve received asks of this nature, nor is it the only time I’ve had to give a public warning about this. Please be mindful and respect the boundaries I have set.

Finally got round to making my Twst OC Isabella Haddock's Student Profile!!! Really proud at how it turned out :))

If you haven't seen her before, Bella is my self-sert HTTYD OC I made for Twst and I've made a ton of card edits for her. She's a really special OC close to my heart because she's the first one who I've started writing for since getting kicked out of home a year ago today. This post was actually scheduled a couple days earlier so that it would post to the exact minute I was out of the door and started my new independent life.

When I got kicked out and tried to sign into my account to find my fanfics to try and cheer myself up, they were all gone, deleted. Every single page that had taken me months and months and MONTHS of writing gone before I knew and it made me lose any motivation I had to write for a long time. Then I found Twisted Wonderland and the amazing community there and for the first time in ages, I wanted to write and create again. I rewatched some HTTYD and was in love with the idea of a badass Viking girl and Toothless stuck at NRC and so Bella was born. A lot of myself went into making her character but I'd actually say she's the most unique OC I've created yet because she acts nothing like me. The very lovely @boopshoops even designed her for me, something I would've never been able to do cause of lack of drawing skills lol which helped bring Bella (and myself) to life that little bit more. But seriously, thanks to everyone here on Tumblr and the internet who's helped support me in any way, big or small. It's meant the world to me and really helped me cope after getting kicked out, you've all inspired me to find my creativity again, something I thought I lost forever. Thank you.

Lorcana/Twisted Wonderland Part 3

I've enjoyed this some I thought I'd share some more cards from Lorcana as related to Twist.

First off is the reminder of the fact that Rook should have a beard lol. But otherwise I'm glad to see he has some representation in Lorcana.

And while on Pomefiore, Dark Mirror anyone?

I figured I'd include this because of the up coming EN event. Stitch just out there living his best life. I'm really looking forward to it, especially cuz the SSRs are Lilia and Floyd.

Another Jafar, that I think I'd s very good reflection on Jamil.

And this is almost like an Overblot version for the Tweels. That's part of why it's easy for me to draw the parallels between Twist and Lorcana because some of the themes are close enough. Especially when it comes to Ink/Blot which is pretty much the same thing. Some of the characters become twisted in Lorcana, corrupted far beyond their Canon self.

While she doesn't have a Twist counterpart here would be Anna, as she is corrupted by the ink. (OC fuel maybe?)

And last I'm just adding this card because I find it hilarious.

Anyway there are a lot of fun parallels, like I said in my original post, it's easy to see Twisted as a world within Lorcana. Whether I ever write about it in a fanfic one day I don't know. But I still find it a fun HC

So, I’d say I’m someone who really likes Malleus. I enjoy seeing him pop up in events and the main story, and I’ll go out of my way to enjoy fanart and fanfics about him. BUT at the same time I’m his biggest hater, call me a Leona kinnie because as far as I’m concerned that’s my nemesis fr fr.

Seriously though, while I genuinely like Malleus, I also have a lot of grievances with the way his character is written and utilized whenever he shows up. For a while I had trouble pin pointing what exactly my grievances were, but it JUST hit me.

I was scrolling through some fanart I have saved on Pinterest(my Twisted Wonderland fanart treasure trove) and I REALIZED that all my favorite pieces of Malleus art featured him being emotional and/or really expressive; something we don’t get to see him be all that much, especially not in the main story.

And that’s my problem with Malleus, he’s not nearly as reactive as I want him to be, especially not when compared to the other characters. When it comes to Malleus, there isn’t a lot that can get under his skin and bother him, which is fine on paper but the way it’s executed means that most of his reactions to strange situations - ones that would have any other character panicking - are blunt and subdued.

And, of course, the reason he’s like this is because of ginormous power gap between him and literally everyone else in the world.

Why does Malleus not panic when the VDC stadium is destroyed? When Vil is turned into an old man? When ANYTHING bad happens? Because he can fix it instantly with magic, he’ll even comment on how easy it was. Even without magic we know that Malleus is physically super strong by virtue of being a dragon.

And it’s not just the big stuff, at this point I’m scared that Malleus’ next birthday card vignette will just be him immediately making himself look perfect with magic. Because of his incredible power, I feel like I’m missing out on a more messy, uncomposed side of him.

Like I just want to see this guy realize he forgot to set an alarm last night and he’s late for first period.

However, I’ll admit that this way of characterizing Malleus does have its upsides. That scene in Book Seven when we Malleus yells about the Senate and his Grandmother telling him what Lilia did for him??? PEAK, NO NOTES, BEST MOMENT IN BOOK SEVEN AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED, and I’m not certain it would’ve hit as hard if we DIDN’T have to slog through Malleus’ boring reactions thus far.

All of this is to say that when we finally get to fight OB Malleus and we get to see his backstory, I NEED to see him snap I NEED to see him panic and yell and cry and lost his composurE PLEASE YANA PLEASE.

And if they want to have their vaguely Grim shaped OB monster pose ANY sort fo a threat they better nerf Malleus HARD. Not just magically I need him to be physically weakened please. If this happens the birds will sing, the flowers will bloom, an angel will gets its wings etc

We've been hitting the nail on the head with these Malleus takes lately.

As anon said, he's had his upsides and moments and hopefully with the game moving towards the end (plz?) of Book 7 we can see more of Malleus' emotional range. . .gosh I hope so. Please nerf him. He can't keep being this powerful, if it always effects the weather it's no wonder he's emotionally stunted! BRING THIS MAN DOWN TO OUR LEVEL! (Or at least direct his rage at something worth smiting.)

I can only say, "Malleus is too important for his own good," so many times before it gets stale, but that's the issue in essence. So powerful, noble birth, such status, dragon, very dignified *Wow*. So trying to get him on the level where we really relate to and understand him as a person is awfully difficult for this game apparently. He's not the only character who suffers from the "can't have his image compromised because reasons" thing, but I digress. Malleus does have some fun and silly moments, but there's a lot more potential with him that's yet to be explored. I know that it's not impossible to have a character so far removed from average who can still be endearing and relatable, but the game just hasn't done that with Malleus. His otherworldly aura and pressence makes it hard to think of him as a person, which is very intentional; however, it puts him on this pedestal and has been written into a corner that doesn't allow his character to breathe. It's why he needs friendships like with the MC to help "humanize" him. That's something which the game doesn't do enough of.

i LOVE writing for Vil and Leona the most, everything I think of a concept, I imagine them in it first.

Characterisation wise, I think I'm best at Rook and Leona mostly because of how much I researched before I wrote for them.

This was the one that introduced me to the world of Miraculous salt fics, and the fic that opened my eyes to the problems of the show. When Rafe and I first got into Miraculous, Season 2 hadn't aired and we were looking for new shows to watch. We didn't know it, but our interest would be dead by Season 4.

You Don’t Know What You’ve Got ‘Til It’s Gone by DaniMeows

One of the earliest salt fics I read when I first learned about them, and it still hits all those right notes years later. It's a one-shot, yes, but you get to see the class get collectively punched in the gut when they realize how badly they screwed up.

The Karma of Lies by CartoonAddict564

I know this one is a bit controversial due to how it treats Adrien at the end. And while I agree, it's a very nice and short fic where we see everyone get what they deserve and more. For better or worse. For what it's worth, I still enjoy the first half.

Chloe's Lament by ChaoticNeutral

Another well-done salt fic detailing the longtime bully finally getting her just desserts in a satisfying manner. While Rafe and I still plan to do a Chloe redemption, this one scratches all the right itches in regards to giving her what she deserves.

I'm a bit biased because I'm a current player of Twisted-Wonderland, but this is just a nice "Good things happen to Marinette" fic as she rebuilds her life in another world. Meanwhile, Lila finds out the hard way not everyone is a sucker like she wanted. Yeah, Rafe and I are doing a Lila redemption but it still is a nice read.

A nice and unique twist on the formula that also addresses some frustrating problems of the show while giving focus to an often-ignored character in both the fandom and the show. This is partly what inspired our rendition of Juleka in the fic.

Another one that's a bit controversial, but for what it's worth it brings to focus the stark hypocrisy everyone in the show has. And honestly, with how Miraculous as it is likes to blame Marinette for everything, I wouldn't be surprised if this happened in the show proper.

For a non-salt recommendation, I absolutely must recommend this bag of cuteness overload. It's a series of vignettes featuring the dolls Marinette accidentally brought to life via Creation magic. And I recommend seeing a dentist afterwards. Because the fluff will absolutely rot your teeth.

24. Funniest fandom-related story

Some time ago, an anon asked me on my KH tumblr if they could write a fic based on one of my headcanon for Xehanort and Eraqus in their thirty's which was the greatiest thing in the world for an artist. So of course I accepted.

Later, when they came to tell me in my asks that their chapter based on my headcanon is done I was astonished to discover that the anon was the writer of the current Xehaqus fic I was reading (Windmills & Windowsills)...! Keanu Reeves moment happened "u gorgeous" "no u gorgeous" and it ended up with me asking to illustrate the whole fic because I felt in love with!

This blog has been running for quite sometime in tumblr, about a month if my memory is right. However, this blog had very.... very weird takes

Notably anti Brodian one. But then, I checked something in the AITA blog and found.. this

This blog, whose first post is a submit to the account about shipping regarding Alear and the Fell twins of the Xenologue. And then

This blog reblogged it. Except they aren't claiming to be a side account as you can clearly tell. Now, I don't like accusing someone, however I find it very strange that scrolling both blog, not only do they have the same way to express themselves and typing quirck but both blog's first post was an entry to that AITA blog.

Do you see what I mean by "same way of typing" ? Well, that's not all. After searching, I realize that the blog they reblogged "femalealeartruther" used to be active as well

For people already aware, I already pointed out that this person was the same as chaotic flower and timerra lover, two blog that became infamous for championing the idea that F!Alear is the "true canon one" and on hating M!Alear. Evidence as follow :

I really dislike saying that but after checking the blog of aleardivine dragonmonarch, I realized they answered in the same way as THIS blog to ask they receive

The same way they answered to a blog reblogging them and this time with the femalealeartruther account

And again. Those blog all have deactivated.

As I explained I have several reason to believe that not only is femalealeartruther the same person as aleardivinedragonmonarch, but also that they are the same person as timeralover and thus with chaoticflower.

Yes, the same blog who in the right order :

claimmed you were bing racist if you didn't like Timerra's singing

claimmed that Timerra and Fogado aren't popular because people are racist

Hate constantly on Brodia and try to villify it by any means and hate Alcryst in particular

Was being rude towards fanfic authors

Insist on shipping Alcryst with F!Alear even though they hate him

Call anyone who prefer M!Alear over F!Alear sexist

Admitted to have stolen an idea of fanfic for an Alearcryst fic that was shared on Discord and trying to make belive it was their idea first

Have apparently lied on their age multiple times

The thing is that each time they claimmed to be a different person who had nothing to with the person who deleted their account... despite the obvious

Each time they come back with a new obsession and a new way to stir out drama and this time, it's because they dont like the fact that they dislike seeing Alear being shipped with Nel or Rafal and won't block or mute the ship instead they tried to prove that this ship is "problematic" (which imo when you do that it's not a good look for you at all ngl it come across as controlling and mean spirited)

Also, I should say it right away but chaotic flower has apparently displayed such behaviour in other fandom such as genshin and twisted wonderland

I could be wrong but again I find it very strange that several account that hates Brodia, claim F!Alear is the canon one, hates M!Alear ship Alearcryst, insist that the Fell twins are Alear's sibling because of an headcanon and express themselves in the very same manner and keep intereacting with the AITA blog with it always being their FIRST post and regularly hosting polls to test which of F!Alear or M!Alear people prefer would all be run by completely different people.

Also.. again, searching, I realized that a lot of the reblogs that were taking side of OP were having the exact same type quirk and scrolling through their blog there is none to little content which are limited to intereaction with the AITA blog and rebloging from the same blog as aleardivinedragonmonarch and weird captions such as never mentionning which is their main account and all

The last one I am SURE I saw the account femalealeartruther at SOME point reply with the exact same arguments.

If somehow they are different person, then this must be one heck of a coincidence

Keep in mind that those are just several thing I noticed and I am kinda worried to see that this person keeps comming back with a new identity pretending to be a different person and well, cause drama.

Also, OP if you read this. Again, I must reiterate. You are welcome in this fandom as long as you STOP doing this sheet right here. That's just baffling that each time you make a blog and then deactivate it all to come back with a new obsession. And each time you pretend to be someone else. Why can't you just run a blog without trying to spark the flame of discourse ? The block button exist, the mute button exist. It's up to you to curate your own online experience and if you are indeed a minor as you claimed several time you were yet keep insisting on having this behaviour, then maybe it's a sign that you are not mature enough to be on social media. Especially since you speak as F!Alear as if she was a real person and not just a fictional being. I am sure that if you properly apologized and admitted your mistake instead of having several blog running to pretend to be another person just to prove that you are right people would actually forgive you.

As for other especially Alear, Alcryst and the Fell twins fans, I am advicing you to block this person and avoid any intereaction with them. This isn't an invitation to harass this person, if anything just block them.

Within the last hour of 2024, Twisted Wonderland fanfic, She Came from Outer Space - Book One has concluded. YAAAAAY! I DID IT!🎉

Four-years. I had been writing SCOS for four-years! I want to thank readers who have followed me and gave their time to read my story. I admit, I got lazy in later chapter and did no editting what so over. You know what? That's okay! I'm just having fun! We're just having fun! No is perfect, but I do best to catch as many mistakes as I could. I thank those devoted readers who are able to make sense of my madness!

What now? This author is going to a take 3-month break. I will still be brainstorming and writing. By April I hope to have one or two chapters, hopefully more completed.

Book 2 is going to be tricky! Chapter 7 is nearing is conclusion on the JP server. Next year for EN, we start the first dreams of the students after Lilia's dream legacy. I know I have idea of focusing more on monsters and aliens. There will be more aliens. I will be taking many inspiration from Dandadan, Delicious in Dungeon, and more. Hometown events are very important and it's going to be tricky with the timeline of Chapter 7. Side stories such as the Glorious Masquerade and Playful Land will be canonically out of order. Both events were Halloween event. Being that we'll be coming out of winter and into summer, we're going to have to use our imaginations and be slightly non-canonical.

Just today I have considered creating a Discord. Fan of SCOS can have a play to discuss and I may possibly share brainstorm ideas, even ideas of future projects and side stories, such as their future kids. Alternate storylines and paths and even what-ifs! Like, what if Alice landed in Twisted Wonderland 700 years ago? What is she was Malleus's twin sister? I'll have to look up rules to post adult-rated images. NOT SMUT, but... in the Book 2, Alice has some natural developments that would need visual study. FOR SCIENCE! I have a ko-fi account. Perhaps with tips, SCOS fan could view such things. Not sure. More research is needed. (Maybe tips will encourage me to do more careful editting, cough, cough.) Will create poll very soon or much later to gauge those interested. Maybe if over 20 or 30 are interested. Maybe I'll create that server.
