Heyyy! So I'm obsessed with your writing! Your EMT series might be my favourite thing I've ever read.
I was wondering if I could request an EMT Marauders x reader story where she gets really sick but thinks it's nothing and downplays it to them, only for it to end up being Pneumonia or something. And maybe they feel guilty for not realising it sooner?
I know you've probably already written something similar to this so no worries if you don't feel like writing it but I'd love to see your take it if you decide. Hurt/comfort is my favourite trope in the world. I just can't get enough of it!
I hope you're doing well!
Thanks gorgeous, hope you're doing well too <3
cw: pneumonia
emt!marauders x fem!reader ♡ 1k words
You make sure there’s plenty of honey in your tea when the boys get home.
“Hi,” you greet them, pleased when your voice comes out semi-normal.
“Hey, gorgeous.” Sirius flops onto the sofa, nearly on top of your curled-up legs. “How was your day?”
You try to keep your answer brief, your cough plied into submission with honey and warm tea but not for long. “Good. Got some things done.”
You don’t mention that after every one of those things you’d had to have a thirty-minute lie down, or that many of them involved disinfecting surfaces you’d accidentally coughed near.
“Being sick isn’t an opportunity to get things done.” Remus sinks into his chair, leveling you with a reprimanding look. “You’re supposed to be resting.”
You shrug. “The only reason I haven’t been at work is because—” A couple of coughs fight their way out of you. James’ expression pinches as he sits on the arm of Remus’ chair, but thankfully the fit passes quickly. You take another sip of your tea. “Because I don’t want to pass it to anyone. I think I have to go back tomorrow, though.”
Sirius makes a soft tsking sound. The boys are all still in uniform, his tattoos peeking out from the short sleeves as he traces looping circles on the side of your knee. “But you’re not better yet.”
“Yeah, but I’m running out of sick days.”
James frowns. “How long has it been?”
You bring your tea to your lips, avoiding meeting anyone’s eyes. “I’ve been out for a week.”
“But you were sick for a while before that,” he says. “What is that, ten days? Eleven?”
You shrug.
Sirius is looking up at you with a puckered brow. “Do you feel like you’re getting better?”
“I think so,” you say optimistically. It’s quickly undermined, however, when you’re caught up in another coughing fit. You have to set your tea down to keep from spilling it, holding a tissue over your mouth.
James’ eyes widen, and Sirius sits up to rub your back.
“That doesn’t sound very good,” James says.
“No,” Sirius agrees. He reaches to feel your face, but you brush him away.
“Don’t-—ack—don’t get too close. I don’t want to get you sick.”
“I’m not gonna get sick, you baby.” He pushes past your hands. “Let me do my job.”
“You just got off work.”
“Yeah, well,” his voice softens, taking on a sympathetic hum as he lays his palm flat to your hairline, “maybe I maybe I was talking about my boyfriend job.” A pause. “I think your fever’s gotten worse, my love.”
You whine. “Really?”
“‘Fraid so. Have you noticed your symptoms getting worse at all?”
“I don’t” —you cough and reach for your tea again— “think so.”
“Dove,” Remus says warningly.
“It’s hard to tell,” you admit. “It’s moved around.”
“Like where, honey?” James asks.
“Like, in my…” You feel your throat contract, another fit brewing. You touch a hand to your sternum to avoid speaking.
“In your chest?” Remus infers.
You nod.
He hums and moves to sit on the coffee table, his knees touching yours. You try to warn him away, but Remus shushes you gently. “Let me look at you.”
He brings one hand to your face, feeling the way Sirius had, and touches the other to the pulse point on your neck. His touch is gentle and cool against your warm skin. You don’t know what exactly he’s looking for, but you find yourself fighting the urge to fall asleep in the basin of his palm when it slips down to hold your cheek.
“You don’t need to talk,” says James, “but just nod yes or no, okay? Have you noticed yourself feeling more tired lately?”
You nod tentatively.
“Yeah? Less appetite?”
You frown. “I don’t think—” You’re cut off by your own hacking.
“One week off work, and she completely forgets how to follow instructions,” Sirius teases, rubbing your leg.
“Terrible patient,” James agrees.
“Alright,” Remus says once your fit ebbs. “I don’t have a stethoscope, but can you turn sideways for me?”
You do, confused. Remus puts his ear to your back. You must make an odd face, because Sirius grins at you, reaching over to pinch your chin affectionately.
“Take a deep breath,” Remus instructs.
You try, but it doesn’t get far. Your lungs expand maybe halfway before you’re coughing again, horrible, wracking coughs punctuated by stabbing pains in your chest. Remus sits up after a few moments, rubbing your back.
“Sorry,” you manage.
“Why are you sorry?” Sirius pulls you into him, cradling your head to his chest. “That sounded like it hurt, huh?”
“Yeah,” Remus answers for you, brows bent with sympathy. “I’m sorry, sweetheart. At least now we can get you some medicine, though.”
You cough weakly. “You can?”
“Sounds like pneumonia?” James asks Remus. Your boyfriend nods.
Sirius coos, petting your head. “I’m sorry, baby. I was thinking it was just a cold.”
“It’s not your fault,” you croak. “I was, too.”
“Feels like we ought to have known the difference, though,” James admits. When Sirius gets up, he’s quick to take his spot, tucking you underneath an arm.
“Where are you going?” you ask Sirius.
He’s putting his shoes back on. “To get someone to write you a prescription. The sooner we get you on antibiotics, the better. It’ll give you something to show your boss, too.”
“I don’t need to come with you?” you ask hopefully.
He winks, grabbing his keys. “Perks of knowing people at the hospital.”
“Perks of flirting with the doctors, he means,” Remus mutters after he’s gone.
“Hey,” James laughs, giving his boyfriend’s knee a playful squeeze, “it works out for us, doesn’t it?”
“Sometimes,” Remus allows. He fixes his gaze on you. “Anything we can do to help you feel better, sweetheart? Do you want to try a hot bath? Steam would be good for you.”
You look down into your now cool mug. “Could I have some more tea?”
He takes it from you with a kiss to your head. “What a silly question.”

what about mafia!eddie and reader going through a rough patch and all they do is fight and kitten tells him that they should take a break and i'll leave the rest up to you....
oof ok let's 180 back to angst. buckle up angsty babes!
"Maybe," Your voice trembled, sucking in a shaky breath. "Maybe I should go stay with my parents... for a while."
Eddie's head whipped around, eyes wide with something you couldn't quite detect, a new look teetering between anger and something worse. It made your spine tingle with chills, icy and fearful.
"What?" Eddie's voice was soft, much quieter than the raised tone from before.
"I-I think," You tried to still your voice, throat raw and aching from the back and forth screaming match of the night. "I think I- we need to be apart for a while." You whispered, refusing to meet his gaze, looking at the couch behind him instead.
"Why?" Eddie barked, teeth gritting and baring in fury, heart pounding with a fear he hadn't felt in a long time.
"Eddie," You sighed, shaking your head at him. "Seriously? All we do is fight." A fresh wave of tears rolled over you, nose burning.
"That's not-"
"-Eddie," You stopped him, gaze meeting his. You could see it now, could see that the foreign look was fear. Your heart sank, taking a shuddering breath to calm yourself. "We're just... We can't stop fighting."
Eddie stilled, frozen across from you. "I'm tired of fighting." You admitted softly, shoulders slumping in defeat.
Days, weeks of bickering- back and forth until your voices were raw, doors slamming, then retreating back with careful apologies, only to repeat the cycle over and over. You were dizzy from it, from trying to get him to see, to understand your point. He was so stubborn.
What started as a what if silly conversation, turned into a bickering, fueled into a full blown fight that seemed never ending.
"You'd be a good dad. You're so good with the boys." You hummed, leaning against his chest.
"Yeah? You'll never know." Eddie scoffed casually.
You frowned, pushing up to look at him. "What?"
Eddie blinked. "C'mon, you know I can't have kids. Not doin' this job. Won't do it to some poor kid."
"But I'll never know?" Your lips pursed. "That's a pretty shitty thing to say to me. Pretty bold." You pushed off of him, out of his hold.
Eddie huffed, running a hand down his face. "Where're you- Seriously? We've talked about this, have we not?"
"Yeah, we have." You huffed, cheeks burning. "But saying I'll never know- do you not see how that's a little rude?"
"What?" Eddie threw his hands up. "You won't. Not with me, anyways."
You gawked at him, surprised, furious, hurt. "You're such a fuckin' asshole. I can't believe you." You snapped, stomping off.
That was the first night. Both of you stubbornly coming for the other, agitation building over and over and over, piling on top of previous fury until you'd finally burst. Leaving you standing here, where you are now, defeated and ready to throw the towel in, too tired to fight.
"I-I- Baby, if this is about the kids thing, look, I told you-"
Your sigh cut Eddie off. "It's not about that." You ran a hand down your face. "I can't- I can't keep trying to explain my side of things when you aren't listen. You won't listen."
"Then what? What is it?" Eddie's franticness turned to angry urgency. "Just say what you mean! Say it!"
You didn't flinch at his anger, at his outburst. Your lip wobbled, taking a deep breath in. "I've said it." You muttered. "I can't- I won't be in a relationship that's one sided." Eddie felt sick at your words.
"I understand that you don't want certain things, and I respect that, I do. But I've changed a lot of things in my life for you, because I love you." You continued, tears brimming your vision. "All I'm asking is for a little change in return. Not with the kids thing-" You cut him off before he could start, sensing what he was going to say.
"But there's two of us in this relationship." You look at him. "I just wish you could try to see my side of things sometimes."
"I do-" Eddie spat in defense.
"-When I'm agreeing with you, you do." You snapped back. "But when it's something you disagree with, you shut me down, dismiss it because what you say is law-"
"-It is not-"
"-And I'm tired of it." You look at him pleadingly. "I think we both need some time apart to figure out what we want. What we do from here."
Eddie felt tears burn, threatening to fall. "I know what I want." He gritted through clenched teeth. "I want you. I've always wanted you. I don't need time to figure out because it's not changing."
You nodded slowly. "I know you do." You whispered. "But this is what I'm talking about. That's what you want."
Eddie felt sick, heart sinking lower and lower into the pit in his stomach. "I need time apart." The room was silent, your voice cutting through. "I need to figure it out."
"Are you- You're breaking up with me?" Eddie sounded petulant, voice crackingly pathetic that he hadn't been since he was a teenager.
Your shoulder shuddered, exhaling shakily. "I didn't say that." You shook your head. "I-I don't want to, that's not what this is. I just... I need to be able to think. We both do."
Eddie blinked, vision bleary with tears that fell. "Alright," He nodded, ignoring the ache in his chest, heart splitting in two. "If that's what you want."
Watching you drive off, slow down the road, Eddie ignored the screaming in his head to run after you. To pull you out of the car, demand you come back, bring you back himself. This is what I'm talking about, your voice played in a painful loop in his mind.
You called him like you said you would, hours later when you got to your parent's house. A quiet, quick phone call. His heart still swelled, lifting when you muttered a fast, "love you" before hanging up.
Sitting in the stillness of the empty house, Eddie had never felt so lonely in his entire life. It was horrifying, thinking that his future could be like this- a life without you in it. Eddie decided right then and there, he'd do whatever he needed to make sure that wasn't his reality.

Snake king’s bride 9
No sympathy for the Devil
Notes:
WARNING!! SEXUAL CONTENT AHEAD! TALKS OF WHAT HAPPENED AFTER CHAPTER 7
It was a cold day in hell. Sinsmas. The actual day, Christmas for the folks up on earth. And here you were in bed alone.
"Hey! It's Lucifer! Can we talk? I brought Pancakes!" Lucifer knocked outside the door. You got up and opened the door to your room. "Hi… I wanna talk about what happened after your family’s party."
"There’s nothing to talk about. Nothing happened." You denied.
"Come on, you can't just bottle up your emotions like that! I made a huge mistake, I thought all this time if I could just shower you in love and intimacy you'd love me. But you cried that night." You listened to him ramble. You took the plate and motioned him to follow you into the room.
"Close the door." You instructed and he followed. "Why do you love me Lucifer?"
"I don't know."
"You're a bad person." You tell him as you sit on your bed and started to eat the pancakes.
"I know. I'm sorry. By the time I realized that my last ditch effort couldn't make you fall in love with me it was too late."
"Is that why you ran out in the middle of sex and didn't come back the next morning."
"Yeah. Was there something, anything, that I could have done to make it better?" He knelt on one knee in front of you.
"Not doing it at all."
"Well, unfortunately we're past that point darling."
"You know, you're really sick in the head. You coerced me into sex, took my virginity, and you didn't have the decency to clean me up, or even stay with me. Then you come back days after the fact and try to worm your way into my life.
"That's not a fair representation of what happened that night. I kissed you sure, but you were the one who brought me to the bed."
"As you were groping me, shoving your tongue down my throat, and telling me how much you needed me carnally."
"I never wanted to hurt you. The fact that I have hurts me so much more than you could ever realize."
"No no, don't turn this on me. What could I have said? You had the power in that situation. You threatened to kill my family."
"Your dad shot me! And your mom scarred me with holy water!"
"Firstly the bullet bounced off your skin and shattered, and secondly can you blame my mom? You're literally the Devil."
"That's besides the point. Up until that night when have I ever intentionally done anything to hurt you?"
"Well you literally kidnapped me. You're holding me hostage. You've been trying to force me to marry you since the moment we met. You've made several sexual advances on me since then. You threatened my family at the Halloween party. And on top of all of that you're constantly comparing me to Lilith which just makes me feel so shitty about myself."
"Wow, I've been so shitty to you. Are you okay? It feels like you should have tried to run away by now."
"Some days you really make me want to."
"What can I do to make it up to you?"
"Oo! You can start by eliminating the discrimination against Imps and Hellhounds. Then you can give Styx, Renesmee, Nina, and Pluto Raises, and more paid vacations, more vacation time overall. I get to see my family and friends whenever I want. I also want to see a therapist. And finally I want to go to the other rings and see how the other Sins treat their citizens."
"Wow, that's… a lot."
"After everything you've done to me, this should be the bare minimum." You stood up and walked past him.
"But I never meant to hurt you!" He shot up to follow you.
"But you did! You try to justify and ignore everything you do! You never take accountability for what you've done! You didn't mean to hurt me! Bit you did! Oh, but I was the one who instigated sex. But you were the one who implied that's what we'd be heading to that night. And I couldn't protest to it because you held the power! You were the one who made the conditions of our deal! I didn't have any room to argue!"
"IM SORRY OKAY?!" He reached out to you but you pulled out of his reach, leaving him to fall onto the floor. He curled into himself on his knees. "IM SORRY! IM SO SORRY!!" He sobbed. "I thought I was doing what you wanted. I was trying to do what you wanted that night! You kissed me back, remember? You grabbed onto me and you led me to my room. I have not been able to sleep in that bed since that night! I have hardly been able to look at you since you started to cry that night. The fear in your eyes, the pain, the utter despair on your face is burned into my brain. I am constantly thinking about how badly I hurt you. And if I have to burn down all of Heaven and Hell to get you to forgive me I will."
"Good. Because I will have no sympathy for the Devil."

he glanced at his watch one more time to be super extra sure he was reading it right. 7:34 pm. thirty-four whole minutes past the time you told him you'd be there. you were thirty-four minutes late. you were never late.
steve kept trying to stop his mind from racing of all the possibilities. what if you got in an accident? what if you were hurt? what if bad things were in hawkins again? he had been pushing away the worrying thoughts as much as he could, but he couldn't take it anymore.
he tossed the movie tickets in the passenger seat before he took off to your house.
steve didn't know if he was more relieved or scared when he saw you were at home. yes, you were just at home, but why?
all normal thought processes were out as he approached your house and reached for the doorknob. he has entered without knocking several times before, but each of those times, you had been anticipating him.
when he opened the door, he expected to see more than he was. your house looked nearly unoccupied and it was silent except for the hum of the air conditioner. the quiet lasted only a couple seconds before he heard some harsh coughing.
"come on," you muttered hoarsely to the phone you held. "pick up." you dialed his number again and coughed a couple of times more.
"are you okay?" was his first question.
you jumped at the sound of his voice, sucking in a breath which tickled your throat and resulted in more coughing. steve rushed to get you some water.
"wha- what are you doing here? i've been trying to call you almost an hour now."
"you didn't show up. i got worried," he explained while ushering you to drink some water. you let him hold the glass for you and drank as much as you could.
"that's why i've been trying to call you. i tried to catch you before you left home. i'm sick."
"yeah, no shit," he teased, receiving a whack on the chest from you. "but, seriously, are you okay?"
"yeah, i think so," you told him with a sniffle. "now, go home so you don't get sick."
steve let out an incredulous laugh. "no, no way. i was promised time with my girl tonight and you know i don't care about getting sick from you. in fact, i haven't been sick in a while. it's about time i get sick. it's good for the immune system or something," steve stated while slipping his hand into yours and pulling you with him to the living room.
he led you to the couch to sit and left to grab your favorite blanket from your room. when he was back, steve laid down on the couch, gestured for you to lay on top of him, and placed the blanket on top of you both.
"this is nice," you sighed against him. you've been alone all day—both your parents were at work—and being alone and sick wasn't really all that fun. the one thing you wanted all day was steve and now you had him. "thank you for being here," you whispered into his chest, "i love you."
he hummed against the top of your head when his lips pressed a kiss there. "not nearly as much as i love you."

Untitled Vortex of Playverse/'sorta Blaseball fic but it's just. My OCs' #1
Summary: For what feels like eternity, Walks' starting pitcher Best Internet burns. And then, all at once, it stops.
There's nothing but terrible heat, and then he's collapsing onto hard floor, thrashing uselessly and choking on the taste of copper and ash, the smell and sting of his own flesh as it sears and bubbles overwhelming.
He's crying? Shit, no, he can't--
Fuck, it hurts.
Internet sinks into void.
When he opens his eyes again -- and he should not be opening his eyes, they boiled in his head and poured out of their sockets and he felt that he felt that -- he's been placed on a couch under a itchy yellow blanket.
He tries to sit up, fails.
Somewhere, he hears humming and sound of water boiling on a stove. Internet takes a breath, tries to steady himself with the thud of his heartbeat--
It's not there.
The world spins. Internet fumbles, presses fingers hard against his throat, then his wrist. No steady rhythm under his skin. Dead? he thinks, the word bewildered and more a gasp than a wondering. No, no, is this hell? Am I in hell?
Internet tries again to sit up, but he's so dizzy and it hurts to move. God, he wants water. He wants -- he kicks the blanket off, lies there aching. Every inch of him feels tender and hot and pained, and he can't help it, he whimpers a bit.
The sound of footsteps on tile, then carpet.
And then Suspension Dogwalker, Walks' right fielder and who Internet saw turned to ash just like everyone else at Burrow Stadium during the loser's bracket game, appears in the threshold holding a cup of tea. They're smiling; Internet stares blankly at them.
"I'm so glad someone else is here!" they say brightly, crossing the distance over to the couch and offering the tea to Internet, who mutely continues to stare as they go on. "It's boring by myself..."
When he tries to speak, Internet's voice croaks. "Where is...here, exactly?" he manages to say.
Dogwalker pushes the tea at Internet again; he forces himself into a sitting position and takes it as the other player says, "I found you in the garden."
"Garden?" he repeats wearily.
"This place is big, but I've found a few things," Dogwalker says, nodding. "There's a garden."
"Is there anyone else...?"
"Nope! Or, well, not that I've seen."
Internet stares down into his tea. The heat of the steam rising off it makes him feel sick. "Walker," he says slowly, "you remember how you -- how we ended up in this... whatever it is, right?"
The right fielder makes a face.
"Yes," they say quietly, and then brighten again. "I wish we were not here, but as far as places to be, this is probably better than much."
Internet sets the tea they gave him onto the nearby glass top of a long coffee table sitting in front of the couch and attempts to stand up.
Everything spins; he drops back down, groaning.
"You should drink your tea," Dogwalker says.
"I want to know what the fuck is going on," Internet says, and his voice rises. "We died! You get that?"
He pauses, unsure for a second. "I mean, I'm pretty sure we did; that's part of what's so weird about all this. We shouldn't be...being."
Damn, that sounded better in his head.
Dogwalker shrugs. "You think there's a blaseball field here?" they ask. Internet blinks, taken aback.
"What."
"If it's just us, we'll need things to do," they say.
"And you...want to play blaseball," Internet says. "Which may or may not have just killed you and sent you to hell. Heaven. Purgatory. Whatever."
Another shrug. "Yeah."
Internet drags his hands down his face. "Fuck."
Dogwalker frowns. "It could be that other verison," they offer. "You know, from before. No silly stuff, just balls and bats and running bases."
"If I ever find whoever woke up the gods I'm gonna kill 'em," says Internet, face screwing up.
"But you play--"
"Because it was something to do!" Internet's voice breaks. "I never liked blaseball, I was never good at it; I stayed on the team because--"
He cuts himself off, grabs the blanket and wraps it around his own shoulders. He's shaking, but he's not sure if it's horror or grief or rage or what.
Dogwalker's frown deepens. "Because?"
Internet looks away. "I wanted to play a game with my friends," he mumbles. "Even if I sucked."
"I don't think you're a bad pitcher," Dogwalker says. "I think you just need to practice more."
"Walker, I'm a shit pitcher and we all agreed about that," Internet replies. "Sometimes I think you guys only let me stay on the team out of friendship and pity."
The right fielder crosses their arms.
"You're being mean to my friend," they say.
Internet blinks. "...We're friends?"
Dogwalker nods. "And teammates!"
Internet scoffs a little.
"Shouldn't be so surprised hearing that from you, but..." He meets Dogwalker's eyes now. "You always were nice."
He's quiet a moment, then: "Is this even real, Walker?"
"...Does it matter?" Dogwalker asks back and it's not a gotcha or snide (not that Internet thinks Dogwalker could ever even try that).
They really believe it, Internet realizes-- that maybe it does matter or maybe it doesn't, and either way it's not that big a deal. Still, if he had a heartbeat, it'd would be tripping and quickening now.
"I... don't know," he answers.
"We can find out together, then!" Dogwalker says. They're smiling at him, as big and genuine as it is every day, and Internet wants to be sick.
(Some feverish part of him-- please, let this be real. At the same time-- please, let it be not.)
"Yeah, okay," he agrees. "Together."

okay... last ask... for now.. I DON'T WANNA BOMBARD YOU SKHSKS
anywhos,
hc of Sage and MC getting into a fight where he accidentally says something seriously hurtful? Mc who deadpans upon hearing it and calmly walks out of the room they're in. Later Sage (or anyone else) goes to check on them in their room but they can overhear crying coming from the other side of the door. Yknow the vibes
IT NEEDS A HAPPY ENDING THO THIS IS HURT/COMFORT BECAUSE I AM NOT STRONG ENOUGH
anywhos, thank you for all you do for the fandom ozzy! You keep the brainworms alive and well.
[Gets carried off by a giant cockatiel]
This post has a really good example of this and I'm gonna try really hard not to be too similar lol
Reg I want you to know that I've written this for Kit,, like they got into a really bad argument over something and she semi-accidentally said something hurtful so he said it was her fault Snow died and if you listen real closely you can hear my heart breaking at that part
GN!Reader, hurt/comfort, self-hating thoughts, vague mentions of (metaphorical) violence and self-harm, soft ending, kinda long
It was such a stupid fucking argument. He couldn't even remember who started it, much less what it was about. In the moment it doesn't matter. You accuse him of drinking too much. He calls you a prude. You snap that his anger makes him dangerous. He snarls that you're a coward.
Your voices are rising. There's nothing physical - no blows dealt, no blood lost - but it still hurts. That's the danger of letting someone in, isn't it? You expose the softest parts of yourself and wind up vulnerable. Beaten. Gutted by the hand of the person who you love most.
There's some part of him - that dark, gnawing monster in the pit of his chest that craves blood and destruction - that knows you will leave him. And maybe that's why he does it. So that when he sits at the bar and drowns his pain in whiskey he'll feel that it was inevitable. That he is simply a monster obsessed with his own self-destruction and there was nothing he could have done to change it. It puts flames in his blood and red in his eyes.
He knows you. The little fears that creep out of shadows, the insecurities that whisper in your ears, the regrets that refuse to rest in the graveyard of your past. You'd shared them all with him in moments of intimacy, his arms wound around your waist and your fingers combing through his hair as you mumbled your secrets. Yeah, he knows you.
He knows how to hurt you.
The words fly out of his mouth before he even knows that they're forming on his lips. And it isn't until he sees the way your shoulders stiffen and your eyes go dark that he realizes it would have hurt less if he'd just hit you.
Your lips move soundlessly for a moment. Then you shake your head just slightly and stumble like the world is spinning and run as far away from him as you can.
He feels sick to the pit of his stomach. Didn't he make a promise once? That he would never lose control of his corruption? That he would never, ever, ever hurt you?
Fuck. His head is pounding. He wishes he could tear his own throat out. He hates himself for it - well he hates himself for a lot of things but this is just the fucking cherry on top - but his ears flick as he tracks your footsteps. They move in short bursts like you have to stop to catch your breath.
A door slams shut. The fire in his veins finally turns to ice. His hands won't stop shaking no matter how tightly he balls them.
He isn't sure what prompts him to look up but he sees Felix and Anisa. How long were they standing there for? He has no idea. But from the look of horror in Felix's face and the look of rage on Anisa's, he guesses it was long enough. Before either of them can get a word out, he storms away, through a hidden passage and into the darkness that craves his damnation.
It's not the first time he wishes Elowen had killed him in Mournfall, but it's the first time he means it.
-----
The other two Starsworn know better than to intervene right away.
First they collect themselves. They've seen Sage's temper explode but it's never been like this. Never against you.
It's Anisa that goes off to find you, about an hour after the incident. She thinks back to the question she asked you oh-so-very long ago; Do you trust Sage? She remembers the way a tired smile had quirked the corner of your lips when you confirmed you did. In fact you'd seemed a little amused that she'd even asked.
Maybe it's wrong of her but she can't help but wonder what your answer would be now.
She doesn't have an ilephta's sense of hearing but she can still make out the sounds of your muffled sobs and choked wails from halfway down the hall. It tears her heart in two.
When she steps nervously up to the door she can't bring herself to knock. Not when you let out another muffled scream into your pillow. So instead she leans her back against the cold stone wall and waits.
And waits.
And waits.
It takes another half hour for your wails and sobs to subside, and even then she still hears clear sniffling. You only go silent when she taps on the door.
Her voice is soft. Sincere but not pushing. Do you want her to beat Sage up? ... No? No, you're right. It wouldn't make you feel better. She just wanted to bring a moment of levity. ... Well, look, i-if you... If you want to talk about anything... You know where to find her. And if you want her to send Sage out of Fathom so you don't have to- ... ...no. You're not that type of person. She knows that. She just... She just hopes you won't let him think what he said was okay just because he's hurting too. That's all. But you're a strong person, perhaps stronger than you realize. She doesn't mean to tell you how to handle this. She's just... She's worried about you. ...
The door creaks open. You poke your head out just enough to see her. Your eyes are red and puffy from sobbing and your voice is scratched from screaming. You thank her. She asks if you'd like some tea. You're about to refuse when a rough cough rattles your dry throat.
... maybe a cup wouldn't hurt.
-----
Felix goes to find Sage.
While he might not have the ilephtas impressive knowledge of Fathom's hidden passages, he does have a tracking spell. And it's using this spell that he finds Sage leaning over a balustrade, cold night air cutting against his skin, moping.
He tells Felix to leave before he's even set foot in the balcony. Felix promptly ignores him and walks over anyways.
The stand in silence for a few minutes, looking out at the night suffocating Porrima. Sage asks how you're doing. Felix admits he doesn't know for sure, considering he didn't go with Anisa, but he imagines the answer is 'not well.'
Sage buries his face in his hands and asks Felix to throw him over the railing.
Green flames flicker at Felix's fingertips. He clenches his hands into fists to snuff them. Then crosses his arms over his chest and tells Sage to get over himself. Sure, Sage did something horrible. And it's good that he feels guilty over it. But he hurt you. You are the one that suffered the wrath of his rage. You are the one that ran off with tears in your eyes. So Sage needs to stop being so damn self-pitying for a moment and do whatever he possibly can to help you. And if that means staying away for a while, fine - but he needs to put in the effort before he turns tail and runs away.
Sage's growing growl dies in his throat. He fixes Felix with a tired glare. Amber eyes are gradually come into focus. His throat is thick with angst as he asks if it's even a good idea. Won't his presence hurt you more right now?
Felix sighs. The fight drains from his shoulders and he looks out at the skyline again. The air doesn't feel quite so oppressive this time. The distant torches seem to glow just a little brighter.
He loved Rime. And Rime loved him. There was no doubt about that. But they argued - gods how they used to argue sometimes - and they hurt each other. Ugly words were gargled like broken glass in bleeding throats, tears formed rivers, pain was a currency. They were horrible incidents. Ones that Felix still shudders to remember.
But there were other things too. Hesitant touches. Whispered apologies. True remorse. More tears - always more tears. New understandings. New beginnings. They're messy and imprecise and confusing. But they were genuine.
No matter how devoutly and purely you love, you will inevitably hurt your partner. Just as they will inevitably hurt you. But if you love them enough, you won't just run away. You'll stay and pick up the pieces and try to mend them. And with any luck you'll make something stronger in the process.
Sage closes his eyes and takes a long, slow breath. The same way you taught him to do when the little beast in his chest starts to claw and gnaw and crave.
Not again. Not again.
-----
Sage knocks softly on your door. He doesn't want to wake you if you're asleep. It's late now - or early, depending on how you look at it. He'd stayed outside longer than he meant to trying to figure out what to say. All he'd really accomplished was remembering how shitty he was at stringing together sincere words.
He just barely hears you mumble that the door is unlocked. It creaks almost painfully loud when he opens it. His ears pin against his hair. His tail gives an agitated twitch.
You're little more than a pile of blankets and pillows and two weary eyes poking out of them. As his own eyes rapidly adjust to the dark, he can make out dried streaks of tears clinging stubbornly to your cheeks.
Gods he hates- ... No. This isn't about him.
You sigh softly and lift up the blankets, revealing the empty spot against your side that was normally reserved for a certain overgrown cat. He hesitates. Wrestles down a new wave of self-hatred. Kicks his boots off and half-heartedly nudges them to the side. Leaves his armor and sword on the desk and drapes his jacket over the back of the chair. Slowly crawls in beside you, settling into the familiar dip in the mattress that is his and his alone. You tuck yourself against his side and mumbles that he does a much better job of keeping you warm than the blankets do, anyways.
And for a few minutes you both sit there. You mush your cheek into the broad expanse of his chest. He runs his fingers up and down your spine.
He's... Sorry doesn't even begin to cover it. You know he didn't mean any of it, right? That he was just worked up and angry and he lashed out at the nearest thing. And that doesn't make it right - it'll never be right - but he never in a million years wanted to hurt you.
You close your eyes and hum in agreement. You know he didn't mean it. But he still said it.
He knows that. And he knows he'll have to work hard to regain your trust. That is, if you even want him to....
You tilt your head up just enough to lock eyes with him. Call him an idiot. Snuggle back up to his chest.
The little laugh he gives is somewhere between relieved and incredulous. It's the first time he's relaxed in hours.
Sure, there's plenty of work to be done, discussions to be had, apologies for be made.
But you're still here in his arms. And that's enough to lull him to a restful sleep.

Take away your things and go You can't take back what you said, I know I've heard it all before, at least a million times I'm not one to forget, you know
“Leave. Take all of your things and go.”
“No, baby, fuck. I didn’t mean-“ Mark stepped forward and you stepped backwards. It broke his heart. “What? You didn’t mean it? It’s not your first time saying that Mark. I’ve had enough. We’re going in circles, it needs to stop!”
It wasn’t the first time that Mark told you that he’s sick of you and that he wished that he never dated you in the first place.
“I love you, baby. Believe me, I was just angry and-“
“frustrated- I know, it’s always the same excuse Mark. I know that you don’t love me, so please, just leave. Find someone you love and who treats you better, apparently I’m not enough.”
“I do! I do love you! Just hear me out, please!” Mark was crying, you weren’t even crying.
“Why are you crying? I’m letting you go Mark, you don’t have to force yourself to stay with me anymore.” Your heart clenched, your hands formed to fists, nails dug into your soft skin.
“I love you…” he whispered, “I love you so much, please give me one last chance.” He begged. “Did you love me when you told Johnny that I was so annoying? Did you love me when you told Jaehyun that you’re sick of having sex with me, sick of me calling you and texting you? Sick of me asking you about your day and worrying about you? Did you love me when you told Mina, that we aren’t serious? How can you love me when we aren’t even serious?”
Mark looked defeated, “H-how did you-“
“Is that important? You talked to them every time I was with you, you wanted me to hear that. You want me to break up with you because you are a fucking coward.”
“I-I never wanted you to hear that- I just, I don’t know what to say, I’m so sorry, please. I’m begging you, give me one last chance. I love you. I really love you so much, I can’t do it without you. I need you in my life.” Mark wiped away his tears with his hands, but the tears were still rolling down his cheeks.
“I’ll never forget how you treated me, how much you hate me. You made me think it was my fault- that I was the one who destroyed this relationship, but it wasn’t me. It was you, and now, take your things and go. We’re done.” You didn’t allow the tears to fall until you entered the bathroom, closed the door, and locked it.
I don't believe, I don't believe it You left in peace, left me in pieces Too hard to breathe, I'm on my knees Right now
You fell on your knees, your hand was on your mouth, covering your whimpers and sobs. It hurt, you loved him so much it broke you apart. You felt your chest tighten, the pain filled your body and there was nothing you could do to stop the pain.
“I-I love you. So much.” Mark was on the other side of the door, his hand was on the doorknob, he couldn’t hold you anymore, it was over now. Mark was still crying as he held his bag tightly and hoped that you’d open the door and jump in his arms, for one last time.
He could hear you, your sobs were loud, you were never good in hiding your emotions. Your eyes filled with tears and pain. “I’m sorry.” And with that, he walked out of your apartment and left.
You couldn’t breathe, the hand that covered your mouth before, was now holding your chest tightly. Your eyes were wide, were you having a panic attack? The bathroom suffocated you, the walls came closer and closer and you were having a hard time controlling your breathing.
Your curled up and closed your eyes, you tried to think of happy memories. Yeah, you had happy memories with Mark, not just bad memories. The first time you had met him was your favorite memory of him.
I'm so sick of that same old love, that shit, it tears me up I'm so sick of that same old love, my body's had enough I'm so sick of that same old love, feels like I've blown apart I'm so sick of that same old love, the kind that breaks your heart
You’ve met Mark on a blind date your friend had arranged for you almost two and a half years ago. She told you that you were a perfect match and after two weeks of begging you to meet him, you said yes. It wouldn’t hurt right?
“He’s a little bit shy, okay maybe not a little bit, but like, you know, he’s cute you’ll love him.” Your friend said as she helped you with your make up. “I’m shy too! What If we just sit there and don’t talk?” you said worriedly.
“No, he will talk. Maybe even a little too much.”
You looked through the restaurant and looked for the man in blue. The two of you decided to wear a matching color since you still didn’t know what he looked like, and he told you to wear blue because it was his favorite color.
Your gaze met his, and your brain stopped working because he looked so handsome and cute at the same time. Mark’s smile widened as he watched you walk over to him. His palms were sweaty, and he was absolutely nervous.
“Hey, Mark?” you said nervously.
“Yeah, hi. I’m Mark. Wow you’re way prettier than I imagined.” He rambled and you smiled at him shyly. “Oh yeah right.” He got up and helped you with your chair like a gentleman. “Thank you.”
“Uhm, I ordered red wine, but like, if you want to drink something else, like, champagne or something tell me.” He was talking so fast and you could see how nervous he was, just like you.
“No, no. Red wine is totally fine.”
“Yeah, uhm, Minsoo told me that you like red wine, but I thought maybe you’d like to drink something else.” He rambled again. “Am I talking too much? I feel like I’m talking too much.”
“No,” you giggled, “You’re not talking too much don’t worry.”
“That’s good, my friends told me to shut up, but I feel like I can’t stop talking. Did I tell you that you’re really pretty?” Mark didn’t even notice the waiter looking at him with his mouth wide open, “Thank you, Mark. You are very handsome.”
The waiter looked to you and then back to Mark as you and Mark just looked at each other without saying anything. The waiter cleared his throat, “Sir, would you like to order now?”
And after ordering, your night was filled with smiles, giggles, and loud laughs. Mark was so funny and cute the whole time, and when you held his hand, which was resting on top of the table, his cheeks started burning and you just wanted to squish his cheeks.
“You’re so adorable.” You smiled at him shyly. “And you’re so gorgeous.”
You were in front of your apartment, even though you didn’t want the night to end, but it was almost 1 am and you had classes the next day. “I had so much fun tonight, Mark. Thank you so much.”
“Me too. And uhm, I really would love to do it again.” He blushed a little. “Me too. You have my number?”
He nodded and you couldn’t resist, so you tiptoed and kissed his cheek before you entered your apartment, “Good night, Mark.”
I'm not spending any time, wasting tonight on you I know, I've heard it all So don't you try and change your mind 'Cause I won't be changing too, you know
You woke up on the bathroom floor. After crying for hours and trying to calm yourself down, you fell asleep. You fell asleep with a smile on your face, the memories you shared with Mark were beautiful, almost too good to be true. But after everything you’ve been through, you didn’t want to wallow in memories. Even it’s just for one night, you wanted to stop feeling sad and down, you just wanted to be happy and think about yourself first. No more thoughts on Mark’s wellbeing, no more going through pictures of him on your phone and no more texting him that you missed him.
You were determined, your relationship with Mark was over, and he wouldn’t change your mind this time, like he always did. This time, you had enough.
You can't believe, still can't believe it You left in peace, left me in pieces Too hard to breathe, I'm on my knees Right now
“H-Hyung, I just- fuck.” Mark cried into his palms. Johnny knew that your relationship with Mark was about to end, after everything Mark had told him, he didn’t think he’d see his friend crying like this after you broke up with him. “I just can’t believe it, I-I thought that we’d be together forever, no matter w-what.”
“Mark, isn’t this what you wanted?” Johnny asked carefully.
Mark shook his head, “I-I don’t know what I wanted, I only know that I want her b-but she’ll never want me back.”
“You said it yourself though, that you were sick-“
“I know what I said!” he shouted at his friend, “I’m sorry- I didn’t mean to shout at you, but like, I know what I said and If I could take it back I would. I just feel so… so empty without her. I think… I think I was scared that she’d stop loving me first and that’s why I pushed her away.”
“That’s literally the dumbest thing you could’ve done.” Johnny sighed.
“She didn’t even cry. S-She looked so, so done. Done with me and done with everything, like she fell apart and it’s all because of me.”
Mark couldn’t breathe, his heart clenched, and he gripped his shirt, everything suffocated him. He remembered your emotionless face and the emptiness in your eyes, and this time it was Mark who was on his knees, having a panic attack.
I'm so sick of that same old love, that shit, it tears me up I'm so sick of that same old love, my body's had enough
I'm so sick of that same old love, feels like I've blown apart I'm so sick of that same old love, the kind that breaks your heart
A couple weeks after your fight with Mark, you found yourself alone at home, an empty bottle of wine next to your empty bed.
He didn’t try to contact you. The only information you had about him was that he stayed with Johnny. Johnny sent a simple text, telling you that he was sorry and that Mark was in safe hands, since he knew, that you after everything still cared for him.
You didn’t cry after the last time you cried. It’s going to be a long journey until you close the big chapter labeled ‘Mark’ and you hoped that it’s going to be a peaceful journey, but after tonight, you weren’t sure if there was a possible future without Mark in it.
Suddenly you heard sounds coming from your door. Didn’t you lock it? Who is trying to get into your apartment? It was past midnight and with a pan in your one hand, you slowly walked to the door.
Of course, it was him. Mark still had your spare key and he forgot to ask for your permission before he entered.
You let out the breath you were holding. “What are you doing here? Did you forget anything?”
Mark looked at you and then at he pan in your hand. “Are you going to hit me with it? I’ll let you do it If you listen to me for just a minute.”
“N-No I’m not going to hit you with. I thought you were a thief.”
You put the pan on top of the little shelf next to your door. “A-Are you scared alone?” he asked you.
The truth is, yes you were. You were scared of being alone, scared of darkness.
“N-No?”
“You don’t have to lie to me, I know that you’re scared. I’m sorry.”
“What are you doing here? I don’t think you came just to ask me If I’m scared.”
“I needed to talk to you, I know it’s late and stuff, but like, yeah I just- I couldn’t sleep nor eat and yeah, I, uhm-“
“Mark you’re rambling.” He reminded you of the time your first started dating, how nervous he was and how he couldn’t stop talking because he hated awkward silence.
“Yeah, I am. Sorry, I just want to talk.”
“I don’t think there is anything to talk about, Mark.” You sighed. “There is. I can’t survive another week without telling you how much you actually mean to me.” He whispered.
“Mark I really don’t want to do this-“
“Please, just one minute. Just one minute.” He held your hand, and you didn’t push away. You missed his touch. “Fine. Just one minute.”
“First of all, I love you. I really do. Since the second I saw you enter that restaurant, I knew that I loved you and I can remember how much of an idiot I was, like, the entire night, but you still kissed me goodbye on the cheek and my heart was about to explode. I thanked Minsoo so much and I still thank her for introducing you to me. I was like, a blind date? How’s that going to work? And it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I know I pushed you away, I was an asshole and I hurt you so much, but I’m an insecure, stupid pussy and I can’t believe I had you, but then I let you slip through my fingers. I didn’t know how to hold your hand and I didn’t know how to make clear, that I need you. The things I told the others, I don’t think that I was actually complaining because If I think about it now, my heart flutters and I can feel the butterflies in my belly jumping around. You cared about me like no one else did and I missed you so much, I just can’t lose you. Your my first and only love, I don’t want anyone but you.”
You were crying, he was crying, Johnny was probably at home crying too.
“M-Mark…” you whimpered, you didn’t know what to say.
“P-Please just give me a chance to gain your love and t-trust back.” He wiped your tears away with his soft hand.
“I’m… I’m so sick of being hurt, I’m so sick of it, Mark. I can’t take anymore pain, I’m so sick of suffering and not being loved, I-I just want to be loved. You h-hurt me so much the past months, I don’t think my body and soul can handle it I-If I go through that again…” you sobbed.
“You won’t need to- Baby, I promise you, I’ll never ever treat you like that again. I won’t let you suffer, not again. I love you I love you so much. I love you please believe me, I love you.”
Mark wrapped his arms around you as you cried into the crook of his neck. He repeated over and over again that he loved you as you both cried together, arms wrapped around each other and hearts connected again.
“One last chance, and if you fuck up again, you’ll never get to see my face again.” You whispered.
“I won’t fuck up, I promise you. The days without you were torture. Being without you is torture.”
“C-Can we take it slow, Mark? I feel like… I feel like if we rush things you’ll get sick of me again…” you were scared that giving him another chance was a mistake.
“No, no baby. Don’t ever think that again, okay? We can take it slow if you want that, but I don’t want you think that I’ll get sick of you, I could never. Being away from you was so hard, I don’t want that to happen ever again.” Mark pressed his lips on your temple.
“Okay…”
“Do you want to go on a date with me? Are you free on Friday?” he asked you and you chuckled.
“I’m not sure, I have to check my schedule.” You teased him.
“Babe…” Mark whined.
“I’m just joking.”

ManType sickfic
Sickie: Type
Caretaker: Man
Man p.o.v
I rolled over in bed with a loud groan, reached over Type and smacked at the blaring alarm. It was very rare for Type to sleep through his alarm, he's usually up so fast that most mornings I don't even hear it. Once the obnoxious beeping ceased, I gently shook my boyfriend, attempting to awaken the older. He simply groaned softly, and pushed me away. "Type, you're alarm, it went off. You have to get up" he let out a sigh, and sat up in bed. "Good morning darling" I said, he nodded. "G'mrnin" he voice was muffled from his hands, rubbing over his face. "You alright? You never sleep through your alarm"
"I guess I'm just tired" he said simply. I didn't believe that, because he's always tired because that idiot (affectionate) doesn't ever take care of himself.
Type p.o.v
While I appreciated that Man cared enough to wake me up so I wouldn't be late to work. I almost smacked him when he shook me. while he wasn't being mean or careless, with how bad my head was hurting, it felt like he had shaken up my whole brain. Man seemed to notice that something was off. I told him I was just tired, I knew we probably didn't believe me, I'm often tired, and that doesn't make me sleep through my alarm. I knew Man has a very caring personality and he would definitely be concerned if he knew I was sick. I finally forced myself to sit up in bed, my head was pounding, my throat was scratchy and felt like I ate rocks, my nose was running like a faucet, I was cold, the chill that had settled into my skin, seemed to sink deeper and settle in my bones. That whole day at work was miserable, I was cold, dizzy, my head ached and my body protested my every move. Plus, throughout the day, my runny nose got continuously more itchy, and around lunch time I had started sneezing. And found it quite difficult to not sneeze. One of my coworkers who worked closest to me had seemed to that I was a bit under the weather. The young female worker came over and set a box of tissues, and a cup of water on the corner of my desk. I thanked her softly, with the little voice I had left. She smiled softly and nodded. I hoped to avoid using the tissues, but that lasted all of 6 minutes. I fell into another fit of sneezes. I took a small handful of the tissues, which were far more effective than my sleeves. Which had been abused by the constant need to tend to my nose. On top of just feeling like shit, I was also extremely tired, and ended up dozing off during my lunch break. Startling awake when the bell signified it was time to head back to work. I noticed a missed call from Man, and instantly I felt guilty.
Man p.o.v
The whole day I felt distracted. I felt like something was off with Type that morning, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. My suspicion that something was off only grew when I called him in my lunch break, which overlapped with his, and he didn't even answer. Which the only time he had ever not called me during lunch was when he had a super important meeting. And I knew he didn't have one, because if he did, he would have told me. I didn't even realize how much I was spacing out until I felt a sharp tap on my shoulder. I looked up suddenly, and saw Tine looking at me strangely. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah.. why?"
"Because I called your name like five times and you didn't even bat an eye"
"Oh.. yeah, I was just thinking"
"About what?"
"Type" he raised his eyebrow, "Why? Did something happen between you two? You look a bit upset"
"No, he's just acting strange."
"He's always strange"
"Even more so than usual, this morning he slept through his alarm for the first time… I think since I've known him. And he didn't answer when I called him at lunch. And we always talk at lunch"
"Sounds like he's sick"
"Really?"
"Yeah, he's always acted super weird when he's sick, he gets super tired, which would explain sleeping through the alarm. And when he gets a fever, he has a hard time thinking/focusing, which would explain the not calling during lunch" I thought for a few seconds about what Time said. "How do you even take care of a sick person?"
"Just act kinda motherly" I nodded, makes sense, and sounds easy enough. "Also, Type gets super clingy when he gets a fever, so be aware of that" I nodded, that's something I could get used to.
Type p.o.v
It felt like the longest day of my life, it seemed to never end. So when 6pm finally hit and I could go home. And back to my boyfriend. I took the bus home, I hadn't driven that morning because I felt so tired I didn't trust myself to drive. But know I was kind of regretting that decision, because eit had gotten to the point of just wanting to be home. I almost called Man, but came to my senses and ultimately decided against it. I was excited to finally get home. I pushed the door open, and tossed my bag to the couch and my phone was dumped on the table. This was a very rare thing for me. I was usually lecturing Man not to do the exact same thing. But I could quite bring myself to care. Feeling absolutely exhausted and sick. "Type? Darling is that you?" I heard Man call from the kitchen. I cringed at how loud his voice sounded. "Yeah" I called back, with what voice I had left.
Man p.o.v
I grew concerned hearing how rough Type's voice had become, he sounded like he had eaten glass and then drank lava. I went to the living room, where Type had collapsed on the couch. His skin was a shocking pale. His nose stood out bright pink against it, and his eyes had a sickly gloss over them. "Type? Are you okay baby?" I didn't expect it, "yeah" he cleared his throat. "Just a long day" he sniffled immediately after. His glossy eyes went crosseyed for a moment, "hEttSHu-HhtshU HetShHu" he kept his hands over his right hand over his face. I noticed a blush visible over his hands, and he reached into his pocket with his left hand and pulled a couple tissues out. He used them to clean off his face, and blow his nose. "You sure you're alright babe?" He nodded, but almost instantly his body betrayed him, throwing him to a harsh fit of coughing. Each cough sounded painful, and I could feel it, while my hand was placed on the older's back, which had coated in a feverish sweat. I gently rubbed his back, while the painful sounding coughs racked his body. When he finally was able to catch his breath, I sat down on the couch next to him. "Still insisting it was 'just a long day'?"Type blushed at the comment. "Okay, I'm sick. Happy now?"
"I'm not happy that you're sick, but I'm happy you admit it… have you taken any medicine?" He shook his head, but cringed after. "Headache?" He nodded, and cringed again. "Maybe you should stop moving your head" he gave me a disgusted look. "Really, I hadn't thought ab-hh-hEtchu-uttcHUh-hhHtchUu- about that" the hand that I had set on his back, I pulled back. Suddenly thinking he might want to be left alone. "Sorry love, didn't mean to bother you" he shook his head, cringing a bit, but less this time, "didn't bother me" his voice was raspy, and he gave a soft cough afterwards. "I j-" he coughed again, then cleared his throat. "Excuse me, it's just, I'm not used to someone watching out for me while I'm sick" he coughed again right after. I kissed his forehead. "Don't worry Type. It'll be okay. Why don't you go lay down in bed, I'll bring you medicine. I read something online that said you shouldn't take medicine on an empty stomach, so let me bring you something. How hungry are you?" He shrugged. "Hon, I know you don't feel good, but I need a bit more than that"
"Only kinda hungry"
"Alright, I'll bring something small. I read somewhere that tea helps with colds and stuff like that. What kind of tea do you like?"
"I don't really like tea," he said softly and shyly. "Are you sure? What about just drinking hot water with honey?" He shrugged, and nodded. "Alrighty, go lay down in bed. I'll bring you some warm water and a quick snack, and some Tylenol. Anything else?"
"Cmcncn"
"I could hear you baby, can you say that again"
"Cuddles?" He said, quietly, as if he was nervous to ask. I smiled at the older man, and kissed his forehead "of course baby" he went up to our room and laid down. I quickly gathered what Type needed, and went upstairs, he was sitting up in bed, his face tucked into his elbow, "hehHTchhu ttchhUu hhHttCchUh" he couldn't ghed after, "that cough doesn't sound good"
"Doesn't feel good either" he sniffled after, clearing his throat. I handed him a few tissues, he blew his nose, coughing as he did so. I handed him the warm water with honey, and the flu medicine, "take this, and go to sleep, we can cuddle" he smiled, and took the medicine. Afterwards, he cuddled into my chest, "you're so buff" he gently squeezed my arm, I blushed, "and you're sick so go to sleep" he smiled, nuzzling his nose against my neck, I kissed his forehead, "I love you" he muttered softly. I blushed, no matter how long we are together, I still get flustered when he says the L word. "I love you too"

So.. I had a covid scare... Or rather.. I have a throat infection of some kind that started as straight up pain as though I'd ripped the shit out of the inside of the back of my throat right where the swallowing happens and from there bloomed into a pain that goes down past my larynx and up past the back of my nose and shoots out into my ears with a stabbing pain. I call it a "scare" despite having taken an at home rapid test that came out negative not being quite enough for me to feel like I've fully ruled out the potential covid infection. And I'm sitting here, at home, in iceland, with the knowledge that somewhere, out there in the wide wild world, in my erranding for literal necessities for my home and life, I picked up something, some infection, and it "could" have been the plague. No one wears masks out there, except a handful of at risk people who've only got the surgical masks available to them at anything less than 40+ usd EACH. I am looking at these horribly expensive hard to find n95 ones on the internet now and feeling like it's inevitable, I'm going to catch the plague, and it's going to make things Worse for me. There's something fundamentally wrong with my body you see. I mean, everyone who knows anything about it seems to come to the same conclusion, it's probably EDS, but the last time I talked to a doctor about getting that verified I was told that there wasn't any point in getting a proper diagnosis because it can't be "fixed". My immune system's been pretty much a badass for most of life despite that, or so I tell myself, because I'm rarely very sick from the various year to year pests and I tend to recover quicker than others, but looking back at my life I can see the trend of my ability steadily decreasing and I wonder how much is because each little blow taken by the flu has chipped away at my limits. I can't run any more. I haven't been able to ride a bike for almost 20 years. I walk with a cane and if I didn't have my car I don't think I'd go anywhere ever really... And I am Always Exhausted. Sure, different levels of exhausted, some days it's just feeling tired like I just finished a full day's work including shopping and taking care of the house when I wake up in the morning... you know.. sore.. tired.. ready for a nap... Some days it's like that.. except like I also have the flu... and also I haven't slept in three days... Usually it's somewhere between those two... And that's When I Wake Up in the morning. Long Covid on top of all of this, or just any loss of ability from having had covid, on top of all of this... and... that might be it.. the loss of whatever ability I have left might be more than I'm physically able to handle.. or psychologically... either way... I don't feel there's much more left of ME to lose... and it scares me. So yeah... This is probably just some minor flu that just hurts a bunch and is pissing me off, but someone out there, in the sea of unmasked faces, had this.. took this to the store... and shared this with everyone around them... That wasn't necessary at all. Please... people.. wear your masks. Please.

oh yeah i almost forgot
on Thursday it was confirmed, my mom and i have covid
it hasn't been life threatening 🤞✊✊✊(me knocking on wood) but it's fucking SUCKED
here's some stuff to watch out for if you're ever worried your sickness isn't just the sniffles:
sore throat. like, swallowing feels like gulping gravel sore. extremely dry and itchy and dull of phlegm. you're gonna lose your voice at least a little bit. coughing will hurt like hell but you need to get the mucus out
congestion, pressure, itching, pain, etc in your nose. if it isn't running at any given time you're probably getting drainage. savor any moments where you can miraculously breathe through both, let alone one nostril whenever you're laying down
weakness and pain and aches in your muscles and joints. it hasn't been as bad since the first few days, but any kind of pressure or usage on your muscles and joints are gonna make it throb. just sitting back in a chair made it feel like my hips aged several decades and just holding my head up made my neck hurt
chills. really, really bad chills. i felt like my house was below freezing and couldn't stop shaking until i slept directly on top of my heating pad with it cranked all the way up. you don't even have to necessarily be feverish for this to get this bad. get warm and stay warm, because if this happens with the aches it's going to hurt really bad
you might still be able to taste stuff at the cost of it tasting fucking disgusting, especially if you hate or are sensitive to bitterness. unfortunately, you need to stay hydrated Or Else so you're gonna have to either suck it up and drink the nasty water or find a beverage that's flavored strongly enough to be edible without upsetting your stomach. 7-up is my go to sick drink and I've been keeping a two liter on top of the vent by my bed to keep it cold
the need to go into hibernation, i am so much more tired than usual and this is coming from someone with fatigue that makes him wanna sleep all the time as is, and it Sucks because the other symptoms on the list makes sleep impossible unless stifled by heavy medication
obviously this isn't an end all be all thing but. I'm pretty sure what my mom and i have is omicron and here's what we've had in common! mask the fuck up, get your shots, get tested, and avoid people if you feel even a little bit sick just in case - you're contagious pretty much the entire time the virus is in you anymore and it's gonna last an average of ten whole days
the vaccination will not make you immune, but it WILL make you safer! this is my first time getting it and so far it's basically been like getting strep and the flu at the same time

Summary// Ground Zero has been your crush since you were rescued by him, and ever since then, you've been writing love songs that your manager is sick and tired of hearing. One day on a live broadcast, you admit that the songs were inspired by your admiration for said hero. Little did you know, he was just in the other wing of the building getting his own interview done and decides to see you after the cameras are off.
A/N: I know his hero name is Dynamite but I wrote this before it was decided so I'm sticking with Ground Zero, sorry ^^;
————
You were never camera shy, you loved the stage and all that came with it. The lights, the flurry of makeup artists and the adrenaline rush of seeing the On-Air light turn red.
But the moment you saw him walk into the room, you swear your heart fell into your stomach and all the words you've ever sang were sucked right back into your throat.
- -
Ever since the accident that nearly took your life, you have been an active fan of Ground Zero. He was constantly in the news, either due to his heroics or due to being spotted with other top heroes such as Deku or Shoto. Considering he was their classmate in high school, the media gobbled up any coverage they could with the trio.
You on the other hand, were mostly into the tabloids for information on Ground Zero.
The accident was after one of your concerts. You had been on your way to your tour bus when a villain had attacked. Luckily none of your crew were hurt, but you were trapped under the rubble of the concert hall that had fallen when the villain rammed into the wall. It was cramped and had little oxygen, the air was full of dust and your lungs were heavy with the ash. You had broken your arm and had to use it to support yourself to keep from getting crushed under the rubble that was slowly but surely pressing down on you.
You had little hope for yourself as the rubble grew heavier, your arm giving out under the weight of your body, but before it could fully crush you, you heard the sounds of explosions.
Not long after, you felt the weight of the rubble lift.
Ground Zero had sent smaller blasts to break up the larger pieces of rubble before finally moving the giant piece that was pinning you to the ground. He scooped you up into his arms and murmured the same line under his breath as he brought you to the paramedics.
"You're safe now."
He lowered you onto the gurney and waited by you as the paramedics asked you questions, soon finding your rib was cracked as well. Ground Zero gave you a once over before parting with a quiet goodbye and a thank you to the medics that were helping you.
You didn't get the chance to thank him as the medics placed an oxygen mask on your face.
So you wrote him songs. You never used his name, but a hero was always implied when it came to songs about him. You tried to be subtle with the crush you had developed, but apparently you weren't subtle enough.
Your manager was sent an invitation for an interview to talk about your new album full of love songs. The album was crammed with songs about a one-sided pinning for someone who could never love back, but the last song was a ray of hope that they might find a way to each other.
Was it based on reality? No. Ground Zero couldn't have liked you like you liked him, he didn't know who he had saved and likely didn't look back on that event. He was a busy hero who saved people daily. He wouldn't know your name, but you could always dream maybe he would hold you like he did when you were hurt.
So there you were, in a chair with the lights on you and your interviewer.
"Your album is named Loved One, are you trying to send a message to a certain someone?" The man asks as he cleans his glasses with a wipe.
You fiddle with your hands on your lap, a half smile on your face. "It's a love song for someone, yes. But if he's ever heard it I'm not sure."
"Your songs have been in the top ten, with Sweet Delights being number one for seven weeks straight. Surely he's heard one of them."
True. Your music was popular. But did he ever hear them? Would he know it was him you were talking about when you sang?
Of course not. That's why you wrote your feelings with no fear of being found out.
"He's a very special man, I can't say he has the time for music." You turn your face as a small blush fans your cheeks. "He's a hero, I'm sure he's too busy to listen to the radio."
The interviewer leans forward in his seat, a grin tugging at his lips. "A hero?"
The live audience begins to whisper and you can hear the names of heroes being tossed around.
Deku. Shoto. Chargebolt. Cellophane.
Ground Zero.
"Yeah." You chuckle. "He saved me during an accident. I'll be forever grateful to him for saving my life."
"Love at first attack."
"Something like that."
"What would you say to him if he were here right now?" The interviewer leans back in his seat.
You look down at your lap, twiddling with your thumbs as you try to come up with the words. You've written dozens of songs, but what words would you give him?
"Thank you. For being my hero. I've written you love songs I never thought you'd hear. Maybe I thought it would make you feel the same way I feel for you." You look up from your lap and chuckle, this time a tad bit weaker. "Silly isn't it? I get to know so much about him but I'm just a dime a dozen that he saves. He doesn't even know my name."
The interviewer scoots forward and hands you one of the tissue boxes on his desk. You aren't about to start crying but you appreciate the gesture and take it from him anyway.
"Love can be tough. But you've written plenty about it haven't you?"
A light chuckle comes from the crowd.
You smile. "I know enough about pinning for someone who will never know me."
"What is his name? Maybe we could get him on here, get you a coffee date." He says in a playful tone.
What's the worst that could happen?
"Well, this is a little embarrassing, but it's Ground Zero." You rub your neck as the crowd collectively gasps. "He saved me after a concert I held, and ever since then he's been on my mind. I thought it was creepy, so I figured I would use my music as an outlet. My album is dedicated to unrequited love and accepting it. Hopefully I'll accept it one day too."
For a moment the interviewer is quiet, but when you look closer you see a smile is building on his face.
He clears his throat and lifts his remote control to the screen behind the both of you. "Ironically, in the west wing of the building, we're holding an interview with Ground Zero himself."
The screen turns on to show Ground Zero seated with his own interviewer.
They were watching your interview live.
And he just heard your admission to liking him.
Your grip on the tissue box tightens as you see his eyes scanning you.
Oh god you were going to be sick.
He stands up and walks out of the room. All you feel is lead in your gut as you watch the television move onto commercial.
Your interviewer presses on the Bluetooth in his ear and nods along to whatever the people were saying. But you didn't want to hear any of it. All you felt was dread.
He heard.
He heard.
He must think you were crazy. It was his job to save people! He didn't do it out of chivalry or kindness like some knight in a fairytale!
You let go of the box and cover your face with your hands. The crowd was talking now, you couldn't catch what they were saying but they were going wild.
Deciding to see what was getting the crowd so riled up, you look to the doors.
And there he is.
Standing across the room with his eyes glued to yours.
- -
So there you are. No words were forming and you felt like you were being sucked into the Twilight Zone.
The crowd cheers as he walks down the aisle in his full gear and makes his way straight to you.
You cover your face again as the interviewer speaks to him.
"The man of the hour, Ground Zero ladies and gentlemen!" He announces, but the crowd was already roaring with energy.
You feel the hero stand in front of you, mostly because he blocked your light, and soon you were wondering if you could sink into the cushions and disappear forever. Let Loved One be your momento mori, your swan song before you disappeared off the face of the earth.
"Hey."
No no no no- no!
You hear his gear shift and from the cracks between your fingers you see him crouch in front of you.
"Stop filming." He says to the interviewer.
"We still have five minutes to break-" The interviewer starts up but stumbles on his words. You hear the pop of small explosions and the murmur of the crowd.
"Break for two!" The producer calls from backstage.
"Hey."
This time, you lower your hands to cover your mouth, looking at Ground Zero with half of your face covered.
He looked just as he had when he rescued you, minus him being in his winter gear. But it was all the same. Even the tone he was using with you. Like you were fragile.
"Did you mean it?" He asks, his head nodding towards the screen above. "What you said about me."
"I.. I did." You uncover your face, using your nervous energy to hold onto the box of tissues instead, squeezing the life out of the poor box. "Every word. You saved me and I'm grateful." You look down in shame, unable to utter the next words while looking him in the face. "I- I know it's weird, to like someone you know so little about-”
"Bakugou Katsuki."
"Huh?"
"My name, is Bakugou Katsuki." He grips your chin gently and tugs you to look at him. He had a small grin on his face. "Go to dinner with me and I'll debate letting you call me Katsuki."

You Like Me Not?
{ Final Part }
Tumblr media
Pairings : Takami Keigo ( Hawks) x Reader
Writing Style : 3rd Person
Warning : Cussing, Stalker Tendencies, Toxic Tendencies.
Word Count : 2947
Read; { Part 1 } , { Part 2 }
3rd Person's POV
A month has Passed. Yes a whole Month has passed and y/n was surprisingly doing well; in the surface at least.
Inside. Not so well but at least she's coping up a lot better than a few weeks ago where she'd often cry herself to sleep, even in the showers. The lingering pain was still haunting her like there's no tomorrow but now she's getting used to it.
After all, First love is usually the greatest and the most painful experience.
Instead of moping around and sulking, she began investing her time and effort into being a Hero. And the effort paid off greatly; her performance was improving and she's proud to say that she's on par with the top three of the class which mainly consists of Izuku, Todoroki and Bakugou.
She was finally getting the attention that she deserved, plus it takes her mind off of Keigo and his jerkass.
However, at the end of the day she felt so empty and devoid of something---someone she longs for. And she will never accept that it was Keigo she was looking for.
But she needs to stay strong and let go of those people who can't even appreciate the little things she does; she won't let them bring her down. No, not when she's finally seeing something big for her up ahead.
Unfortunate as the saying goes ; All good things will come to an end. And for y/n, that is today.
Their class was split in groups for an Activity. Y/n along with Kirishima and Mina and Izuku were paired up to patrol the busy part of the city where crimes are mostly committed.
And guess who their Hero guide is? Yup one of them is Hawks and the other one is Enchanting.
Y/n who had a smile on her face seemed calm on first approach but inside she was cussing her heart out for the terrible luck she's got.
It had to be two of her worst nightmare. How charming.
" You Kids doing fine back there? " Keigo asked, his eyes never leading the road and beside him was a bored looking enchantress.
The two were their Hero guides for today and everyone was ecstatic. Except for y/n.
" Yeah we're good! " Kirishima answered for everyone and y/n was thankful that she didn't have to exchange a few unnecessary words with Hawks.
Her attention was now caught by the Broccoli boy right next to her who was vigorously writing notes down on his notebook.
" Oh my gosh it's the Pro Hero Hawks " Izuku was becoming a mumbling mess as He continued to scribble. His pace was a beyond anyone y/n had ever seen and she was very much intrigued by Izuku's unwavering determination.
" You know Midoriya-san, you're actually really handsome up close" Y/n muttered and izuku froze on the spot; heat rising up his cheeks as he tensed. Slowly he turned to see the h/c haired girl who was smiling at him tenderly.
" I-I-I... Umm... T-Thank you Y/n-san... A-and... You're really handsome too.... W-wait I mean n-not handsome because you aren't a g-guy w-what I meant to say was... P-pretty.... You're really pretty" Izuku gushed out and as much as y/n tried to contain her laughter she couldn't keep a straight face and began laughing at Izuku's Adorable antics.
Izuku was going red due to his rising embarrassment as he began to stutter out another list of explanation why he accidentally said it.
But their little conversation didn't go unnoticed by Keigo and Enchanting.
" Wow, she moves Fast. Better try Harder Birdy. As far as I see it; she's sick of you and look she's a boy magnet. You're gonna lose if you keep this up " Enchantress casually gave her comment and Hawks gave her a narrowed look.
" Shut up miss ' I'm a hundred years old' you better hope she'll be mine by the end of the day, I've pulled a lot of strings to get her here and it ain't easy " Hawks kept a calm expression; his lips tugging up into a smirk as he continued " This was your fault to begin with. If I can't win her over today.... Well you're gonna get wrinkles starting tomorrow. I'm not a very forgiving fellow"
" We'll see Hawks... We'll see "
" Oh, we Will "
" Hey! You two lovebirds better stop flirting and Tell Kirishima here that Cats are better than Dogs! " Mina exclaimed and with how loud her voice was; she caught everyone's attention within her first attempt.
" I told you Mina, Dogs are Manly. And they earned the title of Man's Best friend. They're dedicated and Loyal but I wanna know who you guys will vote for" Kirishima replied as he glanced back at the still very flustered Izuku and A Smiling y/n.
" W-well.... I think I prefer Dogs than Cats... Sorry Mina " Izuku gave Mina an apologetic smile as Mina pouted before turning to y/n.
" Come on y/n you gotta be on my side on this one " Mina pleaded and Kirishima pulled her away.
" That's cheating Mina, don't pull the pity card on Y/n. That's so not Manly... But.. Well which do you prefer y/n? "
" Hmm... Well... I----"
" I vote for Birds. I heard Birds are very reliable companions miss y/n. I assume that you feel the same way? " Enchantress piped in and y/n gave her a raised brow but she managed to catch on to what enchantress was saying.
" Oh? Well I understand the reason why you Like Birds Enchantress; I do too... Well I used to anyways but to answer your question I prefer Dogs... Sorry Mina. I like how a Dog will be loyal to you till the very end"
" Hmm? So you're saying Birds aren't Loyal? " Enchantress chimed and y/n's chuckle made Kirishima, Mina and Izuku shudder.
Her laugh was cold and forced; her eyes landed on Enchantress and a teasing smirk was now displayed on her face.
" Well Enchantress, Upon Personal experiences... Then my Answer is No. Birds aren't Loyal at All" Everyone shivered at her response simply because y/n had took the risk of jumping straight onto a landmine. Because Hawks had a bird based Quirk.
The temperature dropped to negative and even enchantress seemed to be affected by the sudden change of the atmosphere.
" Really Now? You wound me Baby Bird " Keigo's smile was passive aggressive and y/n didn't hesitate to return it.
" Don't call me That Hawks. And stop acting like you know me"
" I'm very Hurt by your words... Especially about your opinion on Birds. I for one am very Loyal "
" Nah, I Love dogs but I also like Bunnies... Take izuku for example. He's cute, shy and smart like a Bunny. Not Cunning, Manipulative and Sly Like a... Hawk" Y/n countered as she placed her Hand on top of Izuku's Head petting him gently.
Her action made a growl rip itself from Keigo's Throat and everyone froze at his aggressive reaction.
" Sure, I may be Cunning, Manipulative and Sly... But you forgot one thing Baby Bird "
" And what is it Hawks? "
" Hawks are Birds of Prey... And They are Very Possessive " Keigo answered, his Fetagers began to Bristow and sharpen; eyes trained on y/n's figure as he slightly lowered his stance.
" Huh? Why would I need to know tha------ahhhhh! " A scream was heard as y/n disappeared from her place as well as Hawks.
Unfortunately she was brisked away by the said Hero at A speed far top fast for the human eyes to follow.
" What the!? " Kirishima , Izuku and Mina who were knocked down on the ground after the Aerial impact of the winged hero were stunned as they frantically looked around for their Female Classmate who had vanished into thin air.
" Let them Be kids " Enchantress muttered as she gestured for the teens to follow her.
" B-but--!".
" Let. Them. Be..... Seriously I don't want to have any wrinkles because of that damn Cocky Hawks .... So let them be or else "
________________
" Hawks! Put me Down! " Y/n demanded, she was brisked away and slung onto his shoulders like a bag of potatoes and now Hawks was flying away and note that they are far from the ground.
" As you wish"
Y/n could practically feel the smirk in his voice and her heart dropped along with her body as she screamed for bloody murder because Hawks was being a Jerk and dropped her in Mid-air.
" Keiiiiigooooo! " Her scream was more of a threat and after 15 seconds of falling in Mid-air she was once again brisked away by the winged Hero who was smirking at her.
" God... I missed it so much when you used to call me by my name and not ' Hawks ' or ' Takami' " Keigo chuckled as he faced the girl who was holding onto him for dear life.
" Ah... Shit I almost died" Y/n hissed as she began shifting in her position, her legs were tightly wrapped around Keigo's Torso, her arms had snaked themselves around his neck and don't even get him started on how hard she was pushing her body against his.
" Easy baby Bird. Don't. Be too feisty with me... I might lose control " Keigo whispered bit he was met with a scowl.
" What is wrong with you? Can't you just leave me alone? If you think this is funny well it's not. I don't want to see or even hear you" Y/n spat out as her heart began pounding in her ribcage from both the adrenaline and embarrassment .
Hawks didn't answer and just gave her an intimidating glare that almost had her shrinking and burying her face on his chest.... Almost.
" Sure you don't want to see me... But really? Leeching yourself on every single boy who comes near you? You're driving me crazy Little Bird. I almost became a serial murderer because of you... Picture this... Pro hero Hawks; the first Hero to Murder a student because of Jealousy " Keigo bitterly laughed .
" Keigo... What the fuck are you saying? ---"
" I'm not done venting!, you think it's fun to mess with my head? Where the fuck were you over the past few weeks?! Seeing another man? While I stayed in my office drinking a huge load of bullshit? Driving myself crazy in that room anticipating when you'd show up again!? And now....now you have the guts to flirt with another man right in front of me " Keigo was pouring out all of his frustration right in front of her and he was far from being finished.
" For a moment there I almost considered the possibility of becoming a murderer... Just because he touched my Girl... He stole your attention away from me... I fucking waited and I resisted the urge to fucking drag you to the nearest alleyway y/n----"
" Cut to the fucking chase Keigo! "
" I Love you y/n! That's what I was trying to say Baby Bird. I Fucking Love you! " Keigo panted out and Y/n was more than speechless.
She didn't know what to feel, she didn't know how to react. After all that? And the effort she made to move on... Now... Now he's being so difficult and telling her he love her?!.
" Keigo, if you think a bullshit excuse like that is enough then you're wrong! Have you had any idea how hard and painful it was for me? How much I had to endure became I loved you? Damn well you don't and you don't have the right to slap this shit right in front of me you bastard! I cried myself to sleep and... And... You... ---" She couldn't finish her sentence when tears began to flood her eyes and was now cascading down her flushed cheeks.
She began sobbing and hitting Keigo's chest which has done absolutely zero no no damage at all.
Keigo's only response was to hold her in place and tighten his arms around her waist; letting her vent.
Of course he was awful to her. He was one hell of a fucking idiot to do this to the woman he loves.
He told her everything, it was true. He barely had any decent sleep and worked his ass off while waiting for her return. He didn't want to carry that habit of being an obsessive stalker. Of course he didn't tell her about how he had stalked her multiple times, he didn't want to scare her. But all of it was true. Including the jealousy part.
" I'm sorry Y/n....i really am--"
" Sorry ain't cutting shit you Jerk! Just when I'm moving on you stomp your way back in! "
" No y/n....don't ever move on. Stay here with me... I know this may sound toxic and shitty as fuck but hear me out... I know it hurts but bare with me... Don't move on.. Stay even if it hurts.. Don't leave me and give me every thing of who you are... No matter how painful it is "
" You selfish prick! Do you realize how greedy you sound! You fucking maniac! "
" I know! I know... But all my life I've been deprived of everything I actually wanted.. I was told to be this and not that... I never had the chance to actually have what I want so please y/n....allow me to be selfish when it comes to you... Let me be greedy and give me You. I don't care if I'm selfish because I'm only selfish when it comes to you.... So please. Beat me up, hit me, stab me... I don't care but just don't Leave me" Keigo growled; angry at his words and his selfish desires bit he couldn't help it.
Y/n who was still sobbing her heart out was listening to every word he had uttered. She fought back the idea of actually giving him a chance. She knew Keigo was sick to the bone but she's even worst knowing that this type of guy had attracted her and lured her to love him.
How... Why is she so soft when it comes to him? Is this how love really is? Because if it is... Then she doesn't give a shit. She wants him too. But she isn't going to make it any easier for him. If he wants her then he better earn her, No more miss nice y/n.
And He wanted her... He needed her and he isn't just about to let her go. He'll hunt her down even in hell.
" Keigo... You.... Ugh... I... Shit... "
" Is it working y/n...am I winning you over? "
" Only because I loved you Keigo you prick "
" Correction You still Love me...so be my girlfriend?"
" Whatever. Just so you know, I'm not saying yes to your proposal. You gotta earn me you fucking retard and it isn't going to be easy"
" I knew you were going to say something like that. And yes I'm ready to make those sacrifices for you, Just... No boys " Keigo smirked as he cradled the girl in his arms.
She still had her arms wrapped around his neck as he landed on one of the very few skyscrapers in the city.
" No can do Keigo... Your Baby Bird here is a Boy Magnet---" Upon seeing how fast Keigo's demeanor had shifted to something more gruesome she shut up immediately and nodded her head.
" You too Chicken wings... No girls for you"
" No can do, your Bird man here is a lady magnet " Keigo smirked returning her words at her.
Y/n rolled her eyes and reached her hand up to paw on his blonde hair; giving them a harsh yank but before she pulled him down, her lips meeting his in a rough and demanding kiss to avoid any form of kinky retort from Hawks.
Keigo immediately responded and took full control of dominance as his lips moved in sync with hers. Rough and passionate, but unfortunately Keigo was getting a little bit handsy; his hands made its way towards her thigh giving it a harsh squeeze but before he could do anything else she pulled away covering his mouth with her hands when he tried to catch her lips again.
" Nuh uh Keigo. We're Going slow "
" Ugh... Nice job being a Kill Joy Kid...tsk.."
" Fuck you Keigo"
" Why don't you do it yourself you Coward "
" Oh I will Keigo "
" Really? I don't mind breeding you right here if you wan---"
" Eww Keigo shut up. I was kidding. I want to be a Hero before becoming a Mom"
" Yeah, Good luck with that because I think you're gonna be a momma anytime soon because you said Yes to Me"
" I didn't say jack shit like that Keigo" Y/n snapped as she began squirming in his hold with Keigo chuckling and laughing at her poor attempt.
" Relax. I was Kidding-- "
" Thank Goodness for a moment there I actually thought you we---"
" Maybe "

“Thank you, Sam. I really could have figured it out myself, though,” Y/n said as Sam set the LOMMARP down in her living room.
"Well, I know, but I wanted to help," he said as he stepped back to examine the placement. He bit the inside of his lip for a moment before he cleared his throat. "And, uh, I didn't end up putting it together. It was Dean."
She looked away and sighed. "Yeah,” she responded softly. “I can smell him on it."
"He told me not to tell you, but I didn’t want to lie.”
“Well, thanks for respecting me enough not to lie,” she said, turning away from the bookshelf and sitting on the couch.
“Of course I resp-” Sam took a deep breath. “Y/n, I know that you were burned by Dean’s-”
“I was destroyed by Dean,” she interrupted. “He killed me and then he killed my boyfriend and then he killed my beta existence.”
Sam’s shoulders tightened with tension. “You chose to become an omega again. It wasn’t him.”
“No, it was you,” she reminded, softly. “And yeah, some of it was me. I convinced myself that it was the right thing to do, so I’m at fault for my condition too, but the simple fact of it is that none of this would have happened if Dean hadn’t killed me two years ago.”
Sam took a deep breath and sat next to her on the couch. “You need to talk to him.” She looked over, her eyebrow raised. “Look, I’m very happy to have this time where it’s just you and me and you act like the sun shines out of my ass, but…” Sam licked his lips as he ran his fingers through his hair. “You love Dean and Dean loves you and don’t argue about it because being mad at him for what he’s done doesn’t change the fact that you love him.”
She looked away from him and scratched at her neck so Sam set his hand on her knee. “You wouldn’t have saved him if you didn’t still love him. I know you’re angry. I’m angry too. We lost out on two years with you because Dean fucked up, but we can get past it. We can get past the anger and find the love again...but not if you don’t talk to him.”
"Talking to him is...too hard, Sam."
"No, it's not. I'll be with you. Come on, Y/n." He squeezed her knee and she sighed.
"Okay. But not here...and not at the Bunker. Neutral ground."
Sam smiled. "I know just the place."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"The park, Sam? Really?" Dean bitched as he parked the Impala and looked around the parking lot for a sign of Y/n.
"It's neutral, Dean. It's not her place. It's not our place," Sam explained as he pushed open his door and climbed out. "Plus, it's open air so no one can claim that pheromones played a part in the discussion. It’s the best place for this."
Dean rolled his eyes and exited the Chevy, shoving his hands in his jacket pockets and sighing. "This is not gonna work."
"Yes, it will. She still loves you. It'll work," Sam promised, walking away toward the picnic area.
"Would you forgive me for all the crap I pulled on-"
"I already have." Dean looked over at Sam, confused, but Sam was looking ahead to where Y/n was sitting at the nearest picnic table. Sam took the spot on the bench next to Y/n and Dean took the middle of the bench on the other side.
Dean's eyes couldn't lift from the table top as Y/n looked over at him, waiting patiently. She knew well how hard it was for Dean to speak on his emotions. "Sorry" would come easily. Admitting when he's messed up was easy for him, but talking out the whys was always hard.
Awkward silence dragged out over a few long moments, Sam opening his mouth to try start the conversation but thinking better of it each time. Dean reached out to pick at a splinter in the wood, absent-mindedly playing with it as Y/n watched.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I-I know that doesn’t mean anything but I am so sorry, Y/n.” He finally looked up and caught her eyes, tears making his olive orbs shine even brighter. “I’m so sorry about everything. I wish I had helped you when you were sick and I wish I had been able to walk away when I found out you were alive. I’m sorry I-I went feral and fucked your entire life up. What I did to your fiance...he didn’t deserve that. He just fell in love with the most wonderful woman in the world and that wasn’t his fault. He didn’t deserve what I did and I’m so sorry.”
Y/n shook her head, anger dripping into her scent. “He didn’t get the chance to actually be my fiance, Dean. You beat him to death before I even had the chance to say ‘yes’.” Tears filled her eyes at the memory of Malcolm covered in blood with his face smashed. “He was a good man. All he ever did was love me, support me, lift me up. And you killed him. You killed him. How is sorry supposed to fix that?”
“It’s not,” Dean answered, shaking his head. “It’s not supposed to fix anything. But I been…” He took a shaky breath and let his tongue out to run along his bottom lip. “Since I woke up and realized what I did, I’ve been sick about it. I ruined everything for you and I ruined everything again after you worked so hard to put together a good life without us and…” He shook his head as tears finally fell. “I’m so sorry.”
"Yeah, me too. I'm sorry I was so forgettable that you could toss me aside so easily. I'm sorry I picked beta existence instead of Chuck just taking my marks because if I'd chosen the first option, I'd be the only one affected. Malcolm would still be alive and you never would have gone feral, because you wouldn't be mated anymore." Dean's bottom lip trembled as she stood. "Would've been better for everyone."
"Y/n," Sam started but she shook her head and leaned over Dean.
"I was raped by a demon because of you and you never touched me again after. Do you even understand what that did to my self-worth? Do you understand that I thought I was ruined because my alpha wouldn't touch me? How broken I already was about what that monster did and how I felt so destroyed-"
"It was Amara, Y/n, she got in my head and-"
"And you couldn’t push through it. Not for me…and you couldn’t tell me why and you could-" Dean stood and moved like he was going to grab her, but stopped and stepped back instead. She let out a deep breath and licked her lips. "You hurt me in a hundred ways, Dean."
"I know. I wish I could fix it."
"You're talking again. That's a start," Sam said, moving to stand too.
"Right. A start." Y/n cleared her throat and wiped at her eyes. "I'm, um, gonna get going. I've got work in a half hour."
"Okay," Sam said, wrapping his arms around her shoulders and kissing the top of her head. "Love you. Text me?"
"Yeah," she agreed before nodding at Dean and walking toward the parking lot.
The brothers watched her walk away until they couldn't see her anymore. "Told you it wouldn't work," Dean grumbled before walking away.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I was thinking we could do dinner...with Dean," Sam suggested as he brought Y/n a cup of coffee. "It's been a few days, you've calmed down. I know you've been thinking about his apology, right?"
She rolled her eyes and took a sip of the coffee. "Yeah. I guess I've been thinking but...it’s...I’m just tired of...compromising, I guess?”
“Compromising?” Sam asked, shaking his head a little.
“Putting aside my feelings and my desires to be...because omegas make things easier, omegas soothe and fix, omegas-”
“You don’t have to-”
“Of course, I do. I’m the omega, it’s my lot in life.” She cleared her throat. “It’s fine. I’m...it’s fine. Let’s just...if you want to have dinner with Dean, we can have dinner with Dean.”
“If you don’t want to, then-” Sam started.
“What I want doesn’t matter,” she dismissed.
“Yes, it does!” Sam argued. “Of course, it does, Y/n.”
“No, it doesn’t, because what I want in my head is a different thing than what I want in my body and my body is going to win out in the end because of these stupid fucking marks.” She closed her eyes tight and scratched her nails across her eyebrows. “It’s okay. It’s fine. Call Dean. We’ll do B&E, get some pizza or something.”
“Are you sure?”
She nodded. “Yeah. I’m sure. Gonna have to fix things eventually, right?”
Sam nodded and pulled out his phone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dean was nervous as he pulled into the restaurant parking lot. He wasn’t sure why he kept letting Sam talk him into this stuff. Y/n was never going to forgive him. She shouldn’t. He fucked up. He fucked everything up. He ruined everything.
She was sitting at a booth with Sam when he walked into the pizzeria. Dean swallowed thickly and approached the booth, taking the seat on the opposite side. “Hey.”
“Hey,” Sam and Y/n echoed.
“Have we, uh, have we ordered?”
“No. Figured we should wait. That’s the polite thing, right?” Y/n asked, looking down at the tabletop.
Dean bit his bottom lip and shook his head with a sigh. “Maybe we shouldn’t do this. You’re obviously uncomfortable and-”
“I’m on the edge of my first heat in years,” Y/n interrupted. “I can feel it starting to claw at my insides. Little cramps, uncomfortable anxiety...it’s just been a while since I felt it, okay? That’s why I’m on edge.”
Dean nodded. “Sorry. I...I couldn’t smell it over Sammy’s scent. I...I hope...I mean...I don’t suppose you’re excited about it, but...Sam’s gonna be good to take care-” The powerful way Y/n rolled her eyes stopped Dean mid sentence.
“Sam won’t be enough, dumbass.”
“Y/n,” Sam chastised quietly and Y/n rolled her eyes again.
“He is. If he’s already forgotten how I almost died last time,” Y/n snapped.
“I didn’t forget,” Dean said, softly, picking at his paper napkin. “I just figured you’d wanna go as long as possible without touching me. Figured I’d be a last-ditch effort, keep yourself away from me until you absolutely have to-”
“You think I’d rather subject myself to rejection sickness for a while instead of having sex with you? You think I hate you so much that I’d put myself through that pain again?” she asked, seriously. Dean just shrugged, still not looking at her. She sighed and shook her head. “If I hated you, I’d’ve let you die...feral and lost. I don’t hate you...much as I want to.”
"So...you don't hate me?" Dean asked, shyly.
"I wish I did. I really tried." Y/n shook her head and picked up her drink. "I tried to hate you when you said I wasn't really dying and I tried to hate you in Seattle and I tried to hate you when Sam asked me to save you, but I couldn't. Even after what you did to Mal...I couldn’t." Y/n took a sip as Sam wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "There was so much potential in our relationship. We got through you being a demon and the Mark making you dark...we could have gotten through anything together."
"'Til I killed you," Dean whispered. "And I did. I killed you, Y/n. I'm the reason you left and Chuck found you and I'm so sorry." He looked up and caught Y/n's eyes. "I'm sorry I'm the reason your family thinks you're dead and I'm sorry I hurt you so badly. I'm so sorry."
The server walked up as Y/n opened her mouth to reply, so she stopped. They ordered their food and fell into a tense silence that followed them across the entire meal. Y/n cuddled closer to Sam as they ate. She was feeling needy, her abdomen cramping more the longer she was around her alphas, but she was doing her best to ignore it. She wasn't exactly happy to be reduced to base animal cravings again and she planned to fight it until the fever hit.
Dean picked pepperoni off of his pizza and sneaked looks across the table. "You should hate me," he whispered eventually. "I do."
"You hated yourself before all this," Y/n snapped.
“Yeah.” Dean nodded and stood, tossing a twenty dollar bill on the table. “It made sense then, too.”
Sam stood as Dean started to walk away from the table. “We’ll call you when she starts her heat.”
“Not until she really needs me, Sammy. You should take care of her needs. I don’t deserve-”
Sam shook his head. “She’ll need you faster than you think she will. First heat. It’s just like a first heat, Dean.”
Dean sighed. “Just call me when she needs me. I don’t deserve to touch her.”
“Coward,” Y/n whispered as Dean walked out of the restaurant.
Sam sat next to her and kissed her forehead. “It’ll be okay. We’ll get you through this.”
“Don’t really have much of a choice, do we?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n’s temperature spiked as Sam drove her to her house. She squirmed in the passenger seat of the classic pickup truck as she rolled the window down to get air circulating in the cab.
"God, this feels almost as bad as…" she whimpered, curling in on herself.
"As bad as?" Sam asked, reaching over to set his hand on her thigh.
"The first one. The night at the bar," she whined, spreading her legs in silent invitation. Sam slipped his hand further up her thigh and pressed the seam of her jeans into her mound. She grabbed his hand, grinding against it as she made him put more pressure on her. "It's so overwhelming."
"I'll take care of you, Y/n," Sam promised, rubbing at her clit through her jeans.
She was a sweating mess of pheromones by the time Sam got her to her house. Sam held his breath as he moved to pick her up and help her out of the truck. If he breathed in the powerful scent of her, he likely wouldn't make it inside with her. He didn’t need her neighbors to witness him knotting her on the front lawn. She clung to him as he helped her inside, pulling her keys out of her jacket and opening the door. She whined his name as he helped her in and immediately turned right into the bedroom.
They hadn't done more than kiss and grope each other since she came back to Lebanon. Dean had gone further than Sam. As Sam grabbed her head and pressed a fierce kiss to her lips, she clawed at her clothes, desperate to be free of the constricting material. Sam grabbed the collar of her t-shirt and tugged, growling as she gasped against his mouth.
"Pants off. Bed," he commanded, pulling at his own clothes. She scrambled to kick her shoes off and fumbled with the button of her jeans as she stumbled backward toward the mattress. “I’ve been thinking about this for months. Getting between those legs again, listening to you whine. Tasting you. Fuck, I missed the way you taste.”
“Alpha, please,” she whined, dropping back onto the bed and spreading her legs for him.
“God, you are so beautiful,” he whispered, joining her on the bed. He was overwhelmed by the way she smelled and how she looked, sweating and spread out before him. He ran his hand across her collarbone and down into the valley between her breasts, loving the way she pressed herself closer to him. “I’m going to make you feel better, Omega.”
Sam leaned down and took her nipple in his mouth, sucking lightly despite the desire to bite down and make her squirm. Her hand came down and buried in his hair as he laved his tongue over her skin, making the sensitive skin pucker at the attention. Sam couldn’t put into words how much he’d missed the scents and sensations attacking his brain in that moment. A million memories assaulted him as he kissed his way down her body to lick his way along her mound. This was Heaven for Sam. Hearing her noises, hearing her gasps, feeling her fingers grabbing his scalp like her life depended on it, as he feasted on her slick. He wanted nothing more for the rest of his life.
When she came apart on his tongue, he immediately climbed up her body and looked down into her lust-glazed eyes. “Do you want to present or...or should I take you like this or-”
“Let me ride.”
Sam’s cock twitched at the breathless request and he nodded before dropping to the bed beside her. He licked his lips and brushed his hair out of his face as she set her hands on his chest and moved to straddle him. She looked apprehensive for a moment before reaching down and lining his cock up with her entrance. He put his hand over hers on his chest and smiled up at her. “It’s okay, ‘mega.”
She leaned down and kissed him as she started working her way down his shaft. Thick alpha cock filling her up was exactly what she needed and she sighed in relief when he bottomed out inside of her. “Fuck, Sam.”
“You feel perfect, baby. Such a beautiful omega, so tight and wet. Perfect,” Sam praised as she started to roll her hips.
She wouldn’t have admitted to it in Seattle, but she missed this kind of sex. She missed an alpha dick in her, knot swelling at the base. She couldn’t say she dreamed of it, she hadn’t had any sexual dreams. But she did think about it. She thought about Sam and she thought about his brother, her original alpha, her original love. She missed them both. She missed this.
Sam let her work herself into a frenzy. He let her ride as fast as she wanted to. He let her slam her body down on him and only gave quick thrusts every once in a while to let her know he was enjoying himself as much as she was. When his knot started to fill, she leaned down to kiss him again, nails digging into the back of his neck as she finally fell over into oblivion. Sam reached down to grab her hips and braced his feet against the mattress as he started to thrust up into her, chasing his own ending, wanting nothing more than to knot her once more.
His knot caught and they both moaned loudly, kissing as he continued to try to thrust, his cock twitching inside of her. They were dripping sweat and satisfaction as she dropped to lie against his chest. “That...was amazing,” she whispered, panting harshly.
Sam chuckled and held her closer to him. “Yeah. You feeling okay?”
“For now.”

So yeah, I have Covid ✨
Tumblr media
Last Thursday night I started developing a sore throat, but was otherwise feeling completely fine so I went to work on Friday, but wore a mask and stayed clear of others the entire day. I took a home test as soon as I got to work but it was negative so I thought nothing more of it.
But Friday night I started feeling worse, I had a fever and was really tired, and woke up Saturday morning with probably the worst sore throat I've ever had 😖 I took another home test but that was also negative, so I figured this must be just a "regular" flu, but still decided to say quarantined in my room just to be safe. I've been feeling like crap all weekend, always with a slight fever, headache, and swallowing anything was just excruciatingly painful, and I had a bad cough that just made things so much worse. I couldn't sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time because I'd wake up coughing and have a hard time breathing because of phlegm in my throat that I couldn't cough up because it f**king HURTS 😭😭 So on top of everything else I've just been exhausted 😴
So this morning I called my health care provider (I'm required to call them when I miss work so I get paid sick days) and she advised me to go get a rapid test since the home tests are unreliable... and well, at that point I was pretty certain this wasn't just your average flu 😕
Luckily today, my sore throat has gotten a little better, it's still very painful to swallow, but not excruciating!! Hopefully I'll only need a day or two more to recover and go back to work, I don't want to be stuck at home for much longer. I have a coworker who's been stuck at home for more than 2 weeks, and she's fully vaccinated.

F I V E - Remember
* - * - * - * - * - * - * - *
Y/N stared up at the Derry Townhouse in front of her, a sick feeling in her stomach as she realized that she had to go in there and convince her friends to stay. If there was any shot of them defeating It, it had to be with all of them there. That's how they defeated It last time and that was the only way they would be able to defeat It this time.
She knew her friends would think she was crazy. She was well aware of the fact. Y/N just wasn't sure what she was going to say or if she was even ready to face them after what they had all just found out. She wasn't ready for the looks of pity or the reminders of Stan especially since her heart was already so fragile that one more blow might actually kill her.
The woman found herself spiraling down a whirlpool of her own thoughts and she would've only gotten worse if it weren't for Greyson gently grabbing ahold of her hand and giving it a squeeze. Y/N glanced at the boy, his red eyes matching hers despite the small reassuring smile on his face.
Y/N really didn't deserve Greyson as a son. It was almost too good to be true.
"Together," Greyson whispered, reminding her once again that she wasn't alone no matter how much she felt like she was without Stan. Y/N gave a short nod and squeezed Greyson's hand once before the two began walking up the steps of the townhouse.
They were inside within seconds and were instantly met with Richie yelling at Ben and Beverly with his bag hanging from his shoulder, "Whatever you guys are talking about, let's make it happen fast, alright? We got to go." He turned towards the stairs and yelled up, "Edwardo, andele! Let's go!"
Richie then seemed to notice the presence of Y/N and Greyson and let out a small sigh of relief. "I don't know where the fuck you've been, but go grab your shit. We're getting out of here pronto," Richie announced as he walked over to behind the girl and began lightly shoving her towards the steps. "Come on, Uris. Move it."
"Rich, I can't," Y/N managed to say, her words causing the man to freeze before letting out a loud laugh.
"Real funny, Y/N. Now come on. I'm not leaving here until I know you're safe and on your way home," Richie insisted as he tried to move her again.
"Richie," Y/N sighed, but the man was barely listening to her as he caught wind of Beverly and Ben's conversation in which Y/N and Greyson couldn't help but listen to either.
"There's something you're not telling us. You knew how Stanley died. You knew," Ben said, his words making the three wide eyed while Beverly just remained silent.
"Wait, what?" Richie questioned as he let go of Y/N and walked into the small parlor the pair was in. Y/N quickly followed after, coming to a stop beside Richie while Greyson came up behind them.
"You. . .knew?" Y/N whispered, a flicker of hurt flashing through her eyes while Beverly lowered her gaze to the floor.
"I can't do this," Beverly muttered before brushing past the four and attempting to walk away into a different room.
"She knew how Stanley was going to die? Is that what she just said?" Richie asked, but Ben and Y/N were already following after the red head. Richie glanced to Greyson who merely shrugged. The man noticed his red eyes and sighed before placing a hand on the kid's shoulder in comfort as they walked after the three.
"You can't just walk away from this," Ben insisted while Beverly rapidly rang the bell at the front desk. "How did you know where he killed himself? Bev."
The red head ignored them and moved around the counter. "Talk to me. Just talk to me like we used to!" Ben exclaimed, but when his attempts still didn't work, Y/N stepped in and was quick to stand in front of the girl to stop her from moving.
Beverly was quiet as she stared at Y/N, the later staring at the red head in a mixture of pain and sadness as she reached out to grab onto Beverly's hand. "Bev, please," Y/N whispered, her eyes flickering over the girl's face as she desperately squeezed her hand.
If Beverly had known that Stan was going to die, Y/N needed to know how and why. It just didn't make sense. None of this did. And Y/N really just wanted the whole picture. She deserved that much.
Beverly let out a shaky breath, tears beginning to fill her eyes as she whispered, "Because I saw it. I've seen all of us die, even—" She trailed off as her eyes flickered over to Greyson.  Y/N's breath caught in her throat and she glanced back at her son who stared back wide eyed while Richie tightened his grip on the boy's shoulder.
A heavy silence fell among the group as Beverly's words began to sink in. No one even bothered glancing at Eddie who was noisily making his way down the stairs with his two bags that kept banging against the wooden railing and wall.
"Okay. I just got to grab my toiletry bag and then we can go," Eddie announced as he reached the bottom of the stairs. He set his bags down and looked up at the group, pausing almost instantly at the looks on their faces while Y/N finally glanced over at him. The look she gave him made his blood run cold.
"What'd I miss?"
- - -
"Okay, so what do you mean that you've seen us all die?" Eddie questioned, not being able to fathom what Beverly meant. Y/N just put her head in her hands, the regret of deciding to stay coursing through her body while Greyson just sat silent by her side at the mini bar in the room they were in.
"Yeah, cause I got to be honest. That's a fucked up thing to just drop on somebody," Richie muttered.
"Every night since Derry I've been. . .having these nightmares," Beverly explained. "People in pain. People dying. People—" She fell short as a look of horror and pain flashed across her face.
"So you have nightmares?" Eddie questioned as he stopped next to Y/N's chair and leaned against the back. "I have nightmares. People, they have nightmares. But that doesn't mean that your visions are true."
He nudged Y/N and the woman glanced back at him to find Eddie giving her a look as if to ask her to back him up, but for once she couldn't. Y/N just looked away and Eddie swallowed thickly, dread washing over him as he looked to Beverly.
"I've watched every single one of us this week," Beverly whispered, her words making Y/N lean further into her hands as she shook her head.
"You've seen every single one of us what?" a new voice questioned. Y/N sat up almost instantly, her head turning around so quickly she could've gotten whiplash. Her eyes locked on Bill who was already staring back at her from where he stood beside Mike, a small look of surprise and relief on his face at seeing her sitting there.
Y/N didn't know why she had the sudden urge to cross the room and fall into the man's arms, but she did and somehow she was able to keep herself in her seat. Bill's eyes flashed with an unreadable expression as he stared at her, but then he seemed to remember what he had been saying and blinked before looking back down at Beverly.
"To the place where Stanley wound up. That's how we end," Beverly said, her eyes flickering over to Y/N who immediately avoided eye contact and stared down at her hands. A hand was placed on top of her own and Y/N glanced to her side where Greyson was giving her a soft reassuring smile as he squeezed her hand. Y/N squeezed his hand back, her heart warming at just how amazing her son was.
"Okay, how come the rest of us aren't seeing that shit? What—what makes her so different?" Richie asked.
"The dead lights," Y/N muttered, her whole body feeling as if it had suddenly been dunked under cold water. She distantly saw Beverly floating in the air, her eyes glazed over as she floated above them trapped in some sort of prison that Pennywise was able to conjure.
Everyone's eyes flickered over to her and Y/N sighed before taking her free hand and running it through her hair while the other one held on tightly to her son. "It's the only thing that makes sense. No one else's got trapped in the dead lights, only Bev," she explained.
"She was the only one of us that got caught in the dead lights that day," Bill muttered as the memory came back to him and the others.
The man shook his head and crossed the room to sit in the seat beside Y/N, plopping down in disbelief while Greyson watched his mother gently reach out and place a hand on Bill's shoulder. Bill's hand flew up instantly, settling on top of her own and holding onto it tightly before the two exchanged a small look.
"We were all touched by it. Changed. Deep down like an infection or a virus. A virus! You understand! Slowly—" Mike tried to say as he reached out for Eddie, but the man quickly slid past him and began pacing around the room. "That virus, it's been growing for twenty seven years. This whole time metastasizing. It just got to Stan first because—"
"He's the weakest," Richie said and before anyone could even blink, Y/N had slammed her hand on the counter in order to push her up off her seat. She was in front of Richie in a matter of seconds, her finger pointed at his chest while a look of pure fury dawned her face.
Tears pooled in her eyes as she darkly said, "Stanley was not weak. He. . .he was brave and kind and. . .and—" Y/N had to pause in order to stop the sob that had begun to cross her lips. "And a better man than you will ever be!"
Richie's face softened as he looked down at his friend and for a moment it was like he saw the same thirteen year old that had been his best friend all of those years ago, the same girl who rarely left her cousin's side and loved him with all of her heart. Fuck, he was an asshole, wasn't he?
"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I didn't mean to hurt you," Richie whispered as he carefully reached out and wrapped his arms around the girl, pulling her closer to his body for a hug. She fell against him with no fighting, her body limp against his own while her hands balled into fists on his jacket.
A soft sob escaped her lips and she weakly shook the man as she said again, "Stanley's not weak. He's not. . .he's not weak."
Richie just held her tighter, his eyes flickering up to the others who were all glaring at him. He gave them all an apologetic smile and most of them shook their heads and looked away, but Bill and Greyson continued to glare at Richie from where they sat next to each other at the counter.
"What Beverly sees, it will come to pass," Mike said after a moment of silence where Y/N finally managed to calm herself down enough to look back at the others while Richie continued to hold her comfortingly which no one bothered pointing out. He had always had a soft spot for the girl since they were younger and now was no exception, especially considering the fact that he had been the one to make her upset. "It's what'll happen to all of us eventually unless we stop it."
"How the hell are we supposed to do that?" Eddie questioned, glancing over at Y/N to see if she was alright and smiling softly as he watched her pull away from Richie and return the soft smile that Richie was giving her as he brushed her hair out of her face and whispered another apology.
"The ritual of Chüd," Mike told them.
Y/N scrunched up her nose, wiping at her eyes to get rid of the last of her tears as she pushed her emotions aside and tried to be the brave girl she had been twenty seven years ago when she first fought the clown. "The ritual of what now?" she questioned, her and Richie sharing a look of disgust and confusion.
"Chüd," Mike said again. "The Shokapiwah, the first ones who fought it, they have a saying. All living things must abide by the laws of the shape they inhabit."
"Tribal ritual? Are you fucking kidding me, man?" Richie questioned while Y/N just shook her head and walked over to the line of alcohol bottles on the wall. She was quick to grab a bottle and pour herself a shot before downing it in a matter of seconds. She could feel eyes on her and glanced over at her son who had an eyebrow raised. Sighing, Y/N poured herself one last shot and set the bottle down before walking over to the counter and leaning opposite of Greyson.
"There's gotta be another way," Y/N insisted, downing her last shot and setting the glass down while Bill sneaked a worried look in her direction.
"Y/N's right. This thing comes back what? Every twenty seven years? Let's kick the can down the road and do it then," Richie suggested.
"We'll be seventy years old, asshole," Eddie pointed out.
Y/N winced. "Yeah, I'd like to think I'll be up and kicking at seventy, but I'll have one foot in the grave before I can even think about fighting some fucking clown at that age," she muttered.
"It doesn't work that way," Beverly assured her. "None of us make it another twenty years, not even Greyson, and the way it happens—"
Beverly trailed off again and Y/N glanced at Greyson before clenching her jaw. "You trailing off every time you're about to say something horrible does not make this any less terrifying," Y/N said, her eyes locking on Bill who had his concerned gaze on Greyson as if he couldn't imagine the kid dying a horrible death this early in his life because of Pennywise.
"So if we don't beat It this cycle then we die," Ben concluded.
"Horrible," Eddie added.
"Yeah, I don't need the horrible part," Richie assured the man.
"I didn't say it, she said it. Not me," Eddie muttered.
"Wow, such great options we have. Either give up and die, lose and die, or somehow pull a win out of asses and actually get to live the rest of our lives. I'm loving this whole reunion thing so far," Y/N grumbled, earning a small glare from Greyson as the boy silently told her to play nice.
"Alright guys, look," Bill said as he pushed himself up off his seat, patting Greyson's shoulder once before glancing around at his friends. "I've seen w-w-what he's talking about and it's. . .it's all true." Bill's eyes stopped on Y/N and she lightly shook her head at him, but he only gave her a small look as he whispered, "It's the only way."
Y/N bit her lip at that, staring silently at Bill as she tried to decide if she actually had to do this. But then she was reminded of Stanley and how she wanted to make him proud. She was reminded of Greyson who had a future she needed to protect. She was reminded of the Losers', her friends who she made a pact with long ago at the age of thirteen to return and defeat this clown once and for all.
And then there was Bill. Bill Denbrough, the boy who she hadn't remembered until Mike spoke to her over the phone but the boy who she knew had meant so much to her back in the day. This was the boy who had willingly offered to sacrifice himself to Pennywise in order for them to escape and the same boy who had comforted her after her parents' divorce.
There is no way I'm leaving you behind. And there is absolutely no fucking way I'm going to be able to live a happy life without you in it.
You make me happy, Bill Denbrough.
"Fuck," Y/N whispered as she ran a hand through her hair in frustration. She let out a sigh of exasperation and looked at Bill a moment longer, the man giving her a shy smile for he knew she was breaking. She was quick to look away and instead turned her attention to Mike. "If you want this ritual to work—" she trailed off, ignoring the small sighs coming from Eddie and Richie as they both hung their head because they knew if Y/N stayed that meant they would be staying as well.
"We have to remember," Mike told her, his words making the group hesitate while Greyson began to smile excitedly.
"Remember what?"

"No fucking way," Y/N breathed out as her eyes flickered around the scenery that surrounded her. "The Barrens." Subconsciously, Y/N glanced over to her side, a small smile on her face as she expected a certain curly haired boy to be standing with her.
She was met with nothing but empty space.
Her smile instantly vanished as she was once again reminded that her cousin was gone, but she didn't have long to think about it before a hand gently grabbed ahold of her shoulder and gave it a soft squeeze. Y/N turned, relaxing a bit at the sight of Bill standing there but also feeling her stomach erupt with butterflies almost instantly.
She momentarily saw Greyson glance back at her and Bill from where he stood beside Richie and Eddie who were also looking back. The three all gave her different looks, Greyson smiling with a thumbs up while Richie smirked and Eddie gave her a knowing look. Y/N quickly ignored them and instead looked back at Bill who was watching her expectantly.
Realizing she had missed his question, Bill chuckled before saying, "I asked how you are doing."
"Oh, uh. . .fine. Fine. Fine," she said, wincing slightly at her own words while Bill raised an eyebrow at her. Y/N let out a soft sigh, "We can talk about this later, okay? Right now is really not the time."
"Right, of course," Bill nodded, letting his hand fall back down to his side. "I just. . .I'm here, okay? You're not alone in this."
Y/N hesitated at that, her eyes flickering up to lock with Bill's before she smiled her first genuine smile since the news of Stan's death. Bill almost swooned at the sight and he swore his heart leapt out of his chest for a moment when Y/N brushed her hand against his before grabbing onto it and intertwining their fingers together.
"I know," she whispered, chuckling softly at the sight of Bill's red cheeks while he gripped onto her hand just as tight.
"This is where we came," Ben spoke up, his voice snapping the two out of their trance. They glanced over at Ben before looking around at the part of the forest they were in which looked really familiar. "After the rock fight."
"Ah, the rock fight," Y/N sighed. "Henry Bowers didn't know what hit him. You remember us telling him off, Rich?"
"How could I forget? That was the day I learned you had such a potty mouth, sweetheart," Richie teased, glancing back at the girl and tossing a wink in her direction.
"You're telling me Mom didn't come out of the womb telling everyone off?" Greyson asked, quickly holding his hands up in surrender when Y/N playfully glared in his direction.
Richie suddenly let out a small gasp, his eyes widening as he said, "The Clubhouse."
"Holy shit," Y/N laughed, squeezing Bill's hand as she glanced at the man. "We use to sneak out here all the time." Richie immediately wiggled his eyebrows at the two and Y/N frowned before letting go of Bill's hand in order to walk over to her friend and whack the back of his head. "Not in that way, dumbass. I started coming out here by myself when everything going on with my parents just became too much and Bill often joined me."
"Did you and Bill have a thing?" Greyson suddenly questioned, trying to hide his smug grin behind a curious expression that Y/N saw right through.
However, she wasn't able to handle the situation very well because the suddenness of the question made her face instantly turn bright red and Bill wasn't much better.
"Oh, they totally had the hots for each other," Richie assured the kid. "In fact, they even—"
"Okay! That's enough!" Y/N exclaimed. "We're getting off subject. We were talking about the Clubhouse, remember? Ben, you built that for us if I am remembering correctly, didn't you?"
"Yeah, the hatch has got to be around here someplace," Eddie agreed, sending a small look in Y/N's direction before grabbing ahold of Greyson's shoulder and beginning to push him forwards. "Come on, Grey. You're gonna want to see this."
The two walked off in search of the hatch along with the others leaving Bill and Y/N to awkwardly stand there before the woman abruptly turned around. "I'm sorry about Greyson. He doesn't exactly know when it's appropriate to ask personal questions like that," Y/N said.
Bill just smiled and stuffed his hands in his pockets before saying, "No, it's fine. He's a curious boy is all. Just like his mother."
"At least he's not walking into sewers looking for missing children," Y/N joked, her words making both of them halt. The woman blinked and furrowed her eyebrows. "I'm sorry. That kind of just slipped out. I. . .I don't even—"
"Remember that much?" Bill finished, an understanding look crossing his face. "Me too. Although, I do remember some things." His eyes flickered over her face for a moment as if he were trying to find some hidden answer. "What. . .what do you r-r-remember?"
"Just some of the basics like spending the summer with Stanley because of my parents. Meeting everyone and that fucking house It resides in. And I remember some of the fighting, but not that much other than that," Y/N explained.
"Any—anything else?" Bill asked, his eyes still scanning her face and making Y/N's cheeks heat up a bit.
Was there something she was forgetting? She only remembered what she had told Bill and then the fact that she had a huge crush on him back then and that it seemed like he had liked her too.
"No," Y/N hesitantly said, a sinking feeling growing in her stomach once she saw the smile wipe off Bill's face. "Is there something you remember that I don't?"
Bill lowered his gaze to the floor and quickly shook his head. "No, no. Nothing important anyways. Don't worry about it," he assured her, although the tone of his voice told Y/N a different story.
"Bill—" Y/N began, but she was cut off by Ben's voice suddenly calling out to them. Bill was quick to brush past her as he walked over to the others, an action that made Y/N frown and stare after him.
So she was definitely not remembering something, but what?
"You know, I actually think the door was more like around—" Ben started to say, but he fell short when the ground beneath him suddenly gave way and he fell tumbling into what was below.
Y/N's hand flew over her mouth in an attempt to stop her laughter and the others had to stifle their laughter as well while Greyson walked over to the edge of the hole and looked down with a cheeky grin. "You okay there, buddy?" Greyson asked, earning a small groan in response.
"Found it," Ben's muffled voice could be heard calling out. "I'm okay! Come down!"
Everyone hesitantly stared at the hole while Greyson glanced at his mother as if to ask her what their next move was. For a moment, Y/N was met with a memory that she hadn't thought of in quite some time. A small smile appeared on her face as she walked over to the hole, glancing back at the others and giving them a mock salute that made some of them blink in surprise at the familiarity of the scene. In fact, it was like they could see a thirteen year old version of Y/N doing the exact same thing.
Y/N stared down at the hole before letting out a shaky breath. "Welcome back to the Clubhouse, Y/N," she whispered. And with that, she began to make her descent back into the clubhouse of her past.

1989
"What do you think it is?" Y/N questioned as she rested her head against her hand and looked up at the sky. "A new jump off spot at the Quarry? Some secret passage that will take us to Narnia?"
"Y/N, I don't think it's any of those things," Stan chuckled, glancing over at his cousin as a wide smile appeared on his face.
"Why not? Ben said he had something to show us. It could literally be anything in the world!" Y/N exclaimed happily, throwing her hands up in the air for exaggeration and making Richie groan.
"I hope it's a back brace because I'm going to need it if you keep moving around like that," Richie grumbled below Y/N who he was currently carrying on his back through the woods.
"And whose fault is that?" Y/N inquired, a smirk on her face as she glanced down at the boy. Richie frowned and Y/N chuckled before reaching out and pushing his glasses back up his nose which in turn received a thankful glance from the boy.
"You were the one who bet Y/N couldn't do a round off back handspring followed by four flips in the air before hitting the water at the Quarry," Eddie pointed out, earning a small glare from Richie.
"How was I supposed to know she did gymnastics for seven fucking years? She didn't disclose that information to me. This isn't fair," Richie complained.
"Quit complaining, Rich," Mike laughed, pushing a tree branch out of the way in order for Richie to walk under it successfully without Y/N being hit. "It could be worse. She could've made you do literally anything else, but all she's doing is making you give her a piggyback ride."
"Yeah, through the fucking forest," Richie grumbled. "I really think you just love to torture me, sweetheart."
"It's my job," Y/N replied with a smug look on her face.
"I can't!" Richie exclaimed suddenly placing the girl on the ground and putting his arms up in the air in order to stretch. "I think my back is about to spaz out or something."
"Rich—" Y/N began, a bit of concern flashing through her eyes as she looked at the boy.
"It's fine, Richie. I'll carry her for you so that you don't have to worry about it anymore," Bill spoke up, his words making Y/N's eyes widen as she quickly spun around to look at the boy.
He stood there with his hands in his pocket, a shy grin on his face as he let his eyes flicker over to her. "As long as that is okay, of course," Bill whispered.
"Thank you!" Richie exclaimed before beginning to shove Y/N over to the boy. "I know I practically carry the whole group with my dazzling personality, but I didn't think I'd literally have to carry one of you. Please, just take her."
If Y/N had wanted to protest, she had no chance for Richie had shoved her forward one last time and she was suddenly face to face with Bill. Her mouth hung open a bit, her face beginning to heat up while her heart beat rapidly in her chest.
"You sure you're okay with this?" Y/N questioned, hesitantly watching Bill who just gave her a warm smile and nodded his head before turning around in order for her to climb onto his back.
Y/N let out a shaky breath and placed her hands on Bill's shoulders before jumping up, the boy catching her legs while she desperately wrapped her arms around his neck and dug her face into the crook of his neck in order not to fall off. Once she was sure she was okay, Y/N peeled her eyes open and let out a small sigh of relief as Bill began to walk once again, this time with her gently holding onto him for a piggyback ride.
Y/N glanced over in Richie's direction to check and see how he was doing before her eyes widened at the sight of him smirking at her. It didn't take much for her to realize Richie had planned this, had been hoping this is how it would play out. She sent a small glare in his direction and didn't even think twice in leaning her head against Bill's while the boy tried to hide his growing blush.
The group walked for a while longer, some of them mumbling their own conversations to one another while Bill and Y/N remained silent and enjoyed the small walk.
"Now that we finally managed to get Richie to stop complaining, I've got to say I'm just as curious as Y/N," Beverly spoke up, glancing between her friends before stopping on Ben. "What is it, Ben?"
"Sorry to disappoint, but it's nothing like what Y/N suggested. However, I think it might be a bit better," Ben said, a small smile growing on his face as he suddenly stopped in a small clearing in the center of the woods.
The group came to a stop and Y/N sat up a bit and leaned an arm against Bill's shoulder which she used to prop up her head. "What are we looking at here, Hanscom?" Y/N questioned.
"Oh, right," Ben said as he snapped out of his daze and hurried over to a small spot in the ground. Y/N couldn't quite understand what he was doing and Bill glanced back at her, the two both sharing a look before realizing how close their faces were and quickly looking away.
Before they knew what was happening, Ben had grabbed ahold of something and pulled it up to reveal some sort of hatch with a hole in the ground. Y/N furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she watched Ben glance at them before he began to climb into the hole.
"Uhh, whatcha doin' there, Ben?" Stan questioned, walking over to Bill and Y/N in order to help the girl get down.
"Come down!" Ben called out. Everyone left above shared a look before hesitantly staring at the hole. Finally, Y/N let out a small laugh of excitement and broke everyone out of their trance as she skipped over to the hole. She gave them a mock salute before beginning to climb down, the others shaking their heads at her in amusement before following after.
Y/N made it only halfway down the ladder before she managed to piece together what she was walking into. A look of shock appeared on her face as her feet managed to touch the ground. She stepped away from the ladder allowing the others to get down as well while she tried to take in her surroundings which looked to be some sort of clubhouse under ground.
"What the dick is this?" Richie asked as he jumped off the last part of the ladder and onto his feet. He adjusted his glasses and began to walk around while Y/N shook her head at the boy. "How'd you build it?"
"When did you build it?" Bill questioned, scaring Y/N as she realized the boy was standing right beside her. She couldn't stop herself from jumping in surprise and Bill quickly looked at her, a startled and guilty look on his face while Y/N nervously laughed and looked away with red cheeks.
"Here and there, I guess," Ben said with a small shrug as if it were no big deal.
"Ben, this is so cool!" Y/N exclaimed as she hurried over to the boy and gave him a big hug. "It's like our own little Narnia."
"Minus the creepy witch trying to kill us and the talking animals and—" Richie began to list off, but one glare from Y/N had him putting his hands up in surrender.
"It was already dug out from something," Ben said while Y/N let him go. "So I just had to reinforce the walls and get some wood for the uhh. . .for the roof door and that's pretty much it. Pretty good for my first time, huh?" He leaned a hand against one of the wood beams and a piece of the ceiling suddenly broke off and fell to the ground.
Y/N had to jump out of the way and she stumbled into Stan who was quick to catch his cousin and help her stand up right. She sent him a grateful look and wiped the dust off of her shirt before linking her arm with Stan like always.
"Now that's a cool feature," Richie mused. "What happens when you put your hand on the other pillar, Professor?"
"Okay, you see, this is exactly why there are safety codes, why we have permits!" Eddie exclaimed, slapping his hand on top of the palm of his other one for emphasis. "This place is a death trap, you understand that?"
"Right. Well, it's a work in progress, okay, Eddie?" Ben said, his shoulders slumping a bit.
Y/N frowned and gave Stan's arm a small squeeze before moving over to Eddie. "Come on, Eds," she said as she gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down a bit, okay? We're fine. Ben was just trying to do something nice for us and he did all of this by himself. Be a kid for a minute and realize how fucking cool this is."
Eddie glanced at the girl and despite his frown, managed to relax a bit before giving her a small smile. Y/N grinned and wrapped an arm around Eddie's shoulders in order to give him a side hug while the boy weakly tried to push her away while hiding his smile.
"Just know if I get hurt, you are liable," Eddie said as he pointed at Ben. "Also, what is this?" He pulled away from Y/N in order to whack a small metal box. "The switch of the Iron Maiden?"
"That's. . .that's a flashlight," Ben replied.
"And what is that? A horse hitch?" Eddie questioned while Y/N put a hand to her forehead and lightly shook her head. She loved Eddie, but he could be a bit high strung at times. "When do you have horses down—oh, this is cool."
He got distracted from his ranting and picked up a paddle ball. "That was like three dollars so be careful with that please," Ben muttered.
"I have one of these," Eddie said before beginning to play with the object. He bounced the ball as far away as he could and looked to Stan with a smile. "Hey, Stan. You see this?"
"Yeah, okay. Can. . .maybe. . .you not?" Stan asked as he flinched back, the others all watching the two in slight amusement and annoyance.
"Maybe not what?" Eddie questioned as he bounced the ball faster. "Yeah, yeah. Hold on. Maybe I'll not what? Maybe I'll not what? Be awesome and have fun and celebrate the magic of the power of the paddle ball?"
Y/N raised her eyebrows in amusement and was just about to tell Eddie to cut it out when he dropped the paddle to the ground, the ball falling off of the string and rolling across the ground and between some wooden skates in the ground.
Everyone was silent before Y/N let out a loud laugh that had Eddie glaring at her while she stumbled over to them and leaned against Stan for support. "That was on you!" Y/N exclaimed while Eddie pouted.
"Uhh, no. It was Stanley. Good going, fucknut. You broke his thing," Eddie said causing Stan to blink his eyes in surprise band before looking at his friend.
"I broke it?" Stan questioned.
"Yeah, you broke it with your face. Y/N saw," Eddie said as he pointed at the girl who held up her hands in surrender.
"I saw nothing," Y/N insisted earning a smug look from Eddie and a look from Stan that practically screamed 'seriously?'
"I'm not putting my fucking hand down there," Eddie insisted before him and Stan began to argue.
Y/N watched the two in amusement before leaning her arm against Stan's shoulder and turning to look at the others. "Oh, this is going to be fun," she said, a grin appearing on her face while the others began to smile.
Her and the Losers would end up spending half of their summer in there and Y/N would be the one to give the place a name one evening when the group was all joking around and eating the candy Y/N had managed to sneak out of the house with Stan. And that very name would stick for years to come.
The Clubhouse.
