#yes. yes they do. i havent met a dutch person who doesnt at least know how to ride a bike#95% of roads (especially in certain regions) have biking paths right next to them.#i started learning how to ride a bike when i was 3 - 4 years old.#the first skill i learned was how to walk. the second was how to ride a bike. the third was how to swim.#my school doesnt have a designated parking lot or a bus station but it has its own bike parking lot and its FULL.#like if you arrive at 1 pm. its nearly impossible to find a spot#and its not even like our climate is that great for it (anymore). ive had to ride my bike through rainstorms. snowstorms.#granted ive heard that its less prevalent in the south because of the sheer amount of Fucking Hills down there#im soooo tired#riding a bike to school and then having to climb to the highest floor because thats where art is... nightmarish
