So I may or may not have made a playlist for Pran and Pat representing their entire timeline so far
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4AMCOOImFQOUKD1thMcYbN
Okay yeah so I did
And I also made a guide to what each song represents
https://docs.google.com/document/d/15glkK823G1e4UbLHgeA8jXFfSNwhYnW-a4CuzidnT-Y/edit?usp=sharing
Enjoy I guess and if it makes you cry you're not entitled for compensation. Sorry.

[Discussion] Pat and Pran's Conflict and Resolution
Tumblr media
So Episode 3 of Bad Buddy was officially released last Friday and it's undeniably the cutest episode of the series so far; The flood of PatPran moments confirmed that our main guys indeed do harbor feelings for each other since high school. I've seen few appreciative posts about this and they are mostly about the romantic moments between and Pat and Pran but there's one point I'd love to open a discussion about and that is Pat and Pran's conflict for this episode. To summarize, Pat and Pat's friends had a fist fight again which resulted to the ultimate destruction of the waiting shed/pavilion the same night the presidents were having a dinner (my shipper ass calls it a date but whatever lol) together. The shed being equipped with a CCTV camera, the whole fight between two departments were caught on cam and it was later on found out that the whole mess was instigated by the architecture gang because Pat's friends uploaded the video of them bullying Wai while he was working the previous night (Episode 2). Pran's friend was then held accountable for the reconstruction of the shed, covering everything from the materials down to the manpower which is honestly too much for students like them. Here comes the conflict, Pran knew about the fight and the reason why it happened but Pat didn't, which is why he insisted that it was Pran's friends fault why the fight took place, just like what his friends told him.
Tumblr media
This clearly upsets Pran because he knows himself that his friends aren't the type of people to start a fight without logical reason (and it's true!) so he told Pat why the fight happened and like he expected, Pat wasn't aware of the video being posted. While it's true that Pat doesn't know what his friends did, Pran is still disappointed that Pat did nothing that night but enjoy the humiliation his friends did to Wai. After that, Pran refused to talk to Pat any longer and avoided the guy like a plague. The next day, Pat followed Pran out of the lecture hall to tell him that the video is already taken down by his friends. This doesn't help the situation any better because the fight already happened and his friends are still in danger of academic probation if they won't meet the deadline. Pat, still upset with the whole situation, aggressively asked Pat to stay away from him indefinitely. ...Which Pat did not do at all. Pat did the exact opposite of what Pran wanted from him and tailed behind him until the whole thing is over, offering help here and there and cheering Pran up whenever he needed it. This significantly showed 1) Pat's persistence to help Pran solve the issue at hand because he is at fault too and he is owning it up like he should and 2) Pat's genuine care for Pran; He knows how pressured and stressed Pran must be by the whole thing so Pat did all he could to be of any help to him.
Now, with all these laid down here, I can't be the only one who is really satisfied with how fast their conflict has been resolved, right? It literally went like this: Pran got angry → Pat apologized by helping and sticking with Pran → Issue resolved. No unnecessary prolonged drama or pride getting in the way to stop Pat admitting his mistake and just went straight to taking actions. It's really refreshing to be honest because if this is like other BLs, these two will probably reconcile in the next episode after a dramatic sequence of Pran refusing to talk at first. Isn't it sexy when a conflict is resolved through effective communication? I am really convinced that Pat and Pran have this deep emotional connection and their relationship as friends (or whatever they call it) is healthy. How about you guys? What do you think about this? Were you okay with what Pat did or did you feel like he did not respect what Pran wanted? Anyway, to end this all, it's clear as a day that Pat truly cares for Pran and Pran is weak for Pat and I'm living for it lol

my friend i think you just unlocked the whole plot of bad buddy series at this point
Fake Relationship before the love competition in Bad Buddy not just a rumor? Here's why!
Tumblr media
Pran and Pat want their friends to stop fighting
Both of them don't want to fight each other and this extends to their friend groups. Furthermore their professor is breathing down their neck about the whole thing, and the fight at the end of Ep. 2 was probably their last warning.
So they have to devise a plan...
In the preview to Ep. 3 we see Pran and Pat standing at the destroyed pavilion discussing the whole situation.
Option 1: Let's tell them we are friends
Tumblr media
Pran and Prat are still in their 'no way we are friends' phase, even though they have a history of friendship (and possibly crushes??).
Pran is opposed to this idea. Telling (or admitting) to their friends that both of them are friends, is actually somehow not believable and might not end the feud between the faculties. Both Pran and Pat have been 'fighting' each other and their friends believe they have the same opinion as them about the leader of the other faculty. The boys will question their leaders position and authority. It's not a good plan, and Pran knows it. So what is the alternative? Well good that we have Pat having a brilliant idea...
Option 2: Let's tell them we're ... boyfriends then?
Tumblr media
Pran was thrown off guard, just as we were by that preview, but let's think about this. What would they tell their friends that would justify to stop their fighting, and also explain why both Pran and Pat were seemingly enemies. The solution is to tell them they are in a secret relationship, and didn't want anyone to find out, and therefore actedas if they were rivals/enemies. This could also go into the route of telling them that the secret admirer they were meeting on the rooftop was the other guy, that they were gifting each other drinks and food because that's what couples do, and that they because they had to keep everything a secret, made the whole thing up about not knowing who the person across the hall was.
Their friends will be shocked, but it will make sense to them. They had to fake everything because they are in love with each other and didn't want their friends to find out, and furthermore they don't want their beloved stupid friends to fight each other because of their relationship.
This is what might happen:
Pat (or Pran, who knows) suggests for them to fake being in a relationship, to stop the fighting between their friends groups:
Tumblr media
They will have to act as a couple in front of their friends, to remind them that fighting is off limits because of their relationship:
Tumblr media
They will have to get more comfortable with each other to make their fake relationship believable:
Tumblr media
And of course Pat will completely go over the top with flirting (even tho they are 'fake' dating) just to make Pran flustered (and also because he actually wants to flirt with him):
Tumblr media
What will happen after this?
Well we know from the trailer, that they will make a competition about who will fall in love first. My theory is that they observe how convincing the fake relationship is to others, and get the 'wonderful' idea to see if they can fool each other. Both of them will give their best to act as the perfect boyfriends and make the other fall in love. Of course they don't realise that they are clowning themselves with all of this.
Tumblr media
Because of the fake relationship deal, and competition, they won't be able to guess each other's real feelings, and if they reveal theirs, they will loose the competition and their face. Little do they know that they both feel the same.
Tumblr media
So it's possible that Pat is going to wear his heart on his sleeve and reveal his feelings, Pran will think that is is part of the competition and that Pat lies to make Pran reveal his feeling and therefore loose. As a reaction Pran will hurt Pat by saying that this is only a competition and that Pat just lost, just because poor Pran is scared that Pat would do the same in the scenario and that he doesn't feel the same. So basically hell week(s) for us with all this angst.
Tumblr media
So, is this bad buddy brain rot affecting me or am I onto something??? Guys??
I'd love to read your opinion!!

Anatomy of a Scene A Tapdance
In which everything about Pat is explained by simply watching him interact with his Dad for two and a half minutes.
Bad Buddy, Episode 2 Director: Backaof Noppharnach Chaiwimol Writers: Pratchaya Thavornthummarut, Bee Pongset Laksamipong, Best Kittisak Kongka Cast: Ohm Pawat Chittsawangdee (Pat), Nanon Korapat Kirdpan (Pran), Leo Put (Pat's Dad)
Holy shit my dad’s here! What am I going to do? Go hide! Where should I hide? Somewhere! Anywhere!
Coming! Hi, papa. Why are you fidgeting? What took you so long? I was in the bathroom. You were in the bathroom for a long time. Don’t be so obsessive over it. Go play some sports sometimes. I’m not that obsessive. Why is it so dark in here? Am I in a cave? As bright as it can get. It’s roomy. Very good. Have you eaten? It’s a Fish Maw Soup. I stopped by China Town before I came. Are you taking a Materials Engineering Class with Professor Pichai? The professor? Is he your friend? Not exactly. He’s my senior. We met earlier and he told me you’re entering the Freshy Music Contest. Good. That’s great. Just save my reputation, okay? I got the popular vote back in my time. We’re in two different generations. I know but you must keep it that way. The next generation means the better generation. All right. I don’t feel the pressure at all. I’m not putting pressure on you here. But I’m serious. What are you looking for? I’m wondering if you’re hiding something. You’re looking dodgy here. You’re kidding. I know. By the way, is the kid next door entering the contest too? I have no idea. I’m sure he will. Remember when you were a drummer? He followed you around everywhere carrying his guitar. What a jealous kid. They’re all jealous of us. Don’t talk about them like that, papa. My friend visited the other day and his car was just inches over the line. His parents were looking at us so frustratedly. I don’t know why they need to be so serious. They’re not that bad. They should have moved away too when their son was transferred. They’re driving me crazy. I’m so done with them. Please stop papa. Your ma, she wants me back now. I’ll get going. Don’t bring too many girls over. There’s no one. You should go. If you do, use protection. Of course. Go now.
It’s… That’s fine. My dad just… Forget it. Don’t apologize. Your dad was right. I am sorry if I caused you trouble. I’m moving out.
Oy, the red flags all OVER this conversation. This hurt so so SO much to watch, because just like that I UNDERSTOOD Pat and the whole Pat/Pran thing. I knew so many Pats in college, the ones who were the very icons of the cisheteropatriarchy on campus but I'd run into them in the gay clubs on a Saturday night with their tongue down some cute boy's throat and they'd beg me not to tell anyone. Without exception, their dads (or moms, or whoever raised them) were like Pat's dad: reliving some long faded (or in some cases never attained) glory days via their kid, and slagging off anybody who didn't fit their ideas of how people should behave.
Pat's whole persona, the big man on campus swagger, the badass posturing, the dudebro energy...well it might not all be a performance but I'm guessing a decent chunk of it is. Poor kid is probably exhausted keeping up the whole act. As much as Pran is strong and a fighter, there is a softness and a sweetness to him that Pat perhaps wishes he could lean into in himself. But his dad's reaction to Pran is a warning to Pat that he absolutely CAN'T show that part of himself. He's trapped.
For Pran's part, well it must hurt to hear somebody you've never harmed speak of you with such venom, and Pat (weakly) objecting doesn't really matter, because he feels like Pat's own feelings about him can't be all that different from his dad's.
It's just an awful awful heartbreaking scene all around.
