The 13 Primes Au
Some world building for you, my fellow bitches
This became kind of crazy since I let Inept involve in this, so, I needed to reconstruct the world, so, it doesn't feel blurry in my head and/or out of context, this is some kind of first version/guide
Ps: this Au contains story from the Aligned continuity and Earthspark (only the first season, the second never happened)
Ps2: don't use this timeline as reference for the Life of Rescue Bots au, or you will lose your mind
✨️✨️✨️
At the Beginning, when the Primes were created, well, you already know that, so, let's go more in the future
The first dead one was Thirteenth, died during the Unicron's battle
The second was Amalgamous because of Megatronus
The third one was Solus by Megatronus' hand (aka. Cannon)
The fourth one was Onyx (injured but managed to escape)
The fifth one was Megatronus (ahem 'suicide')
The six one was Liege, killed by the rest for his crimes
The seven one was Quintus, killed by his own creations
The eight one was Prima (aka. Suicide, again)
The nine sibling was Micronus, who left the job searching for some peace
The ten and eleven siblings were Alchemist and Alpha Trion, searching for his dead siblings, believing they would find them in another life
The twelve prime was Vector, bored of his loneliness and wanted some vacation
Nexus system separated a lot of time ago but still exist without needing reincarnation
✨️✨️✨️A LOT OF TIME LATER, AS TOLD IN CYBERTRONIAN HISTORY, WHICH I DON'T KNOW AND DUE TO, I WILL NOT TELL, ONLY THE IMPORTANT✨️✨️✨️
Heatwave and his team end up Lost in Space (I should do a crossover with that series, it can be interesting, but not today), during the stasis he unlocked his prime memories
Meg became decepticon leader after Orion recieved the Matrix and unlocked his prime's memories, bla bla bla
War war war
Soundwave unlocked his memories as Alpha Trion on what remained of the destoyed archives
Shockwave unlocked his memories as Alchemist when Soundwave hit him on the head, doing damage to his emotion supressors
Cybertron got fucked up and all who remained had to escape, they saw an habitable planet with energon and both sides went there, Megatron with the Nemesis and Optimus with the Ark, forming the teams we know now from Earthspark, making some human friends
In human calendar it was the 80's, during that period, cybertronians had to remain in secret to evade the human forces, but with the time (more time than they thought), humans ended up finding their secret (decepticon's fault) and humans had to got involve, the Autobots, to guarantee their safety, allied with humans, settling their base in Jasper, Nevada, meeting on the process 3 teens named Jack, the son of a nurse on the military hospital, Raphael, the youngest son of a soldier of the base, and Miko, who got there by accident and stayed because she was bored, becoming in secret their most dearest comrades
During that time, Makeshift unlocked his memories as Amalgamous after almost being killed by both sides, hiding and not letting himself be seen
Time passed, and energon mines got each time hard to get due to decepticon's handwork, and the worst part was the battles, each time worse than the last one, until finally one of those battles made Megatron got seriously hurt, Starscream tried to use it on its advantage, and Optimus, incapable of let Megatron died by his fault again, saved him against all his comrades and friends' wish.
Megatron unlocked his memories after almost dying, and, mostly cause of the trauma, decided to redeem himself by becoming an autobot to try to end the war, not before making a lot of the harm that happened during Transformers Prime...
When Miko and Jack, who became military cadets and became even more closer to the transformers for recommendation, also being assigned to Bulkhead and Arcee as human fellows, Optimus, Iron Hide and Megatron got assigned to Charlie Burns, William Fowler and Dorothy Malto, becoming the ten of them the most fierce and strong human-cybertronian team of all of times, and had nothing to fear
Until the battle on the bridge
Where the Allspark got lost
Dorothy lost her leg that day, Optimus arm wasn't the same as before, and Iron Hide lost his life. Since that day, Dot had to retire from the army, and Fowler was reassigned on special forces, Miko and Jack were the only humans that remained because Charlie also retired to return home, but kept contact with Dot, Fowler and Optimus
✨️✨️✨️SOME TIME LATER BUT NOT AS MUCH AS BEFORE, JUST A FEW YEARS✨️✨️✨️
A patrol ship on stasis was reactivated thanks to Raphael skills (and a little help from Soundwave), Heatwave, now with the memories of Solus, and the rescue team was reubicated on an island by Optimus' request, both him and Megatron recognizing Heatwave as Solus, and as I told in another post before, they payed a visit with Bulkhead and Bumblebee to the island (finding Shockwave and Soundwave by accident and also discovering they are primes AND Heatwave's twin-sparks) and Megatron had a talk with Heatwave when he slip all his venom toward Meg and then left (how bad it was)
✨️Some time later but just a year or half a year✨️
BOOM, TERRANS, Dot only wanted a normal life as forest keeper with his kids and husband and end up becoming a "my kids found a magic stone and now I have five more kids and my bestie is also trying to understand why"
Bumblebee had to take care of them while everyone thought he was dead, but no, he was racing (no estaba muerto, estaba de parranda)
And spoiler: Breakdown is not dead, Knockout, who also became an autobot to avoid prison, kept him as hide as possible, but Breakdown is too hothead for that, whatever, the terrans, how the new Dot's kids were named, had a really rough year, almost being killed by Mandroid who used the Emberstone to shout down all cybertronians, including the terrans...!
But wait, why Nightshade is the only one still on his pedes? And that answer kept him awake for weeks. When the battle just end up, Nightshade took some of the dust the Emberstone left, and studying it, they found it was alive and possesed like a ghost one of their best gadgets, telling them and the rest of their family Nightshade was a Prime, especifically, Quintus Prime. The Emberstone, who they called Ember for short, told them she didn't shout down Nightshade because she recognized them as her Prime, and as her Prime, she wasn't capable of doing harm to them, especially after all what she did to kept them safe after Quintus dead
Also, thanks to Mandroid's shout down, the new Primes could localize the Allspark that they thought it was lost, and Optimus, Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Makeshift (in bad terms but wanting to go home) went to space find it (in bad terms also with GHOST but they were kind of desestabilized, so, the new team of Primes used it on their favor), during that period, that for Earth it took like one year, they managed to find the Allspark, and sacrificing the Matrix (but not Optimus this time) they could resurrect Cybertron and take it on their original state
✨️✨️✨️MEANWHILE, ON GRIFFIN ROCK JUST AFTER MANDROID'S ATTACK ENDED, I MEAN, BEFORE FINDING THE ALLSPARK✨️✨️✨️
The team also got shout down by accident during Mandroid's attack, and when they were resucited again (Heatwave: if I had a coin for each time I came to live, I had two, which it's not much but it's strange it happened twice JSAKKASJ) they found a signal near, it was a stasis ship with two young bots, Blurr and Salvage, a caverman, and an metallic egg in stasis, surrounded by an ancient language
Cody felt like hipnotized by the egg, and when it hatched, THEY FOUND A GRIFFIN PREDACON!!!! (which I still don't have a name or gender for it, give me ideas, please)
And so they were all that year taking care of a predacon baby, Cody who for some reason had an special bond with it (Heatwave knew Cody and the griffin were two parts of Onyx's spark but didn't tell), two teens who became rescue bots only because they didn't had anything else to do, and a little bot named Sissi who was brought to the island with Hightide- WHY THE DOG GIVES HEATWAVE PRIME VIBES???
It's because he was, that's how Heatwave figured out Servo was Micronus Prime, a Prime... in the metal of a dog... wow
Whatever, when the year ended up and Optimus returned to Earth with the notice Cybertron was again working, most of the cybertronian population on Earth came back to start again, others stayed on Earth to evade the justice system
The Rescue Bots didn't wanted to return to Cybertron, but they had family there they wanted to met again, so, they only returned for a short time, during that period, Optimus was on Earth trying to put some order on what remained, making some paperwork
And the time again passed, Cybertron was being reconstructed and with the promise of a better future, a long time passed, like three years on Earth, the Rescue Team lived in peace on Griffin Rock, visiting their relatives on Cybertron some time to time, while the team Prime were having busy but satisfactory days, Cybertron was again a star in the darkness, of course, changing the ways of the past and their old system, like once Prima did with the first cybertronians.
During Bumblebee's stady on Earth, the Council accused Optimus of traitor due to Galvatron's secret manipulation from the shadows, and with it, everyone who was with him, also figuring out Optimus was actually Prima Prime, thanks to Liege Maximo, the council couldn't let the people know the Primes weren't as they thought, and they couldn't let the people know it was their fault all the disasters that Cybertron went through, were their fault, the quintessons, the civil war, the scraplets, if the people knew they all were fault of the Primes, Cybertron would start a civil war against them that the council wasn't sure they could handle (I'm still unsure if this was what Sideswipe saw or make it another thing, like, "this is bad but this wasn't what I saw, so, maybe it's worse" kind of shit)
But there was a problem: Galvatron, who never lost his memories as Liege Maximo, take control as could over the Council, Optimus wanted to change things, and changed a lot of it during these three years since the resurrection of Cybertron, now it was a little more like Earth, and they repaired as much as they could the damage of before, now New Cybertron was nothing like the old Cybertron, but Liege had a new plan, and tried to kill Optimus, instead, he put him on a choma, but now without him, Cybertron had to direct itself for some time.
Time later, Bumblebee, as a high ranked militar, was sent to Earth to reach and capture criminals who escaped a prison, leaving a checkpoint to the things that happened in RiD15, with Strongarm, his most beloved cadet, and Sideswipe, an idiot that was just here as punishment, they had to remain in secret, so, the people on Earth would not suspect about decepticons anymore, having some help from a junkyard's owner, his son, and Raphael, who Bumbeblee didn't saw in a lot of time, also adding Fix It, the pilot of the ship and Grimlock, another dino bot that was prisioner, and so they were on regular missions, until Sideswipe had a bad hit on his head and unlocked his memories as Vector, and with it, a premonition, a bad feeling and a vision, if they didn't do something as Primes when the moment comes, Cybertron will be fucked up again...
Since then, all the leader who had a relastionship with Optimus were searched as traitors and banned from Cybertron, like Megatron, Bumblebee, Heatwave, and with it, Earth itself, making impossible to come back again, now, Sideswipe gave himself the mission of search for his siblings, try to fix their relationships, and be prepared for what's to come, because Bumblebee will have to handle a lot of shit coming from the council, and if they wanted to search for them outside of Cybertron, nothing will be like before if not worse...
✨️And if you ask for the RBA events, those events would be a lot of time later, like, after the end of the council's problem with the Primes, when everyone is safe again✨️
✨️✨️✨️
This is as far what I have, I didn't watch RiD15 complete, so, I don't have a lot of it planned, but definitely, if I decided to write seriously about this, ALL THIS SHIT WILL GO STRAIGHT TO HELL AKSKAKSKSNS but don't worry, I like Happy endings too much to not to give them one
Whatever, I hope you enjoyed the read and give me your thoughts, and also ideas for Sideswipes vision and the Predacon's name (Inept, help me👀 but everyone is welcomed to left suggestions)
Whatever, I love you, thanks for reading, bye!!!

What Would They Do, If They Just Knew (Pt 2)
Gerard Way × Reader
-> Masterlist
A/N:Heyy! Here's a pt2 of "What Would They Do, If They Just Knew". There will probably be continuity errors, so I ask you to ignore them. Hope you like it as mutch as i liked to write. If you have any request, send me and i'll be glad to write ^^
Summary: You are a famous actress who was dating Gerard for about 2 years, but you haven't turned your relationship public yet, because of all the issues that this could bring to your career. However, you both were hired to some Comic-Con, and you don't know whether or not this is the right time to tell'em about it.
- Word Count: 1.290
- Warnings: Big age gap and anxiety content!
- Ps: I'll not use y/n…
- Ps2: I'm brazilian, so english is not my first language ... sorry if i wrote something wrong.
___________________________________________
1st Person POV
When we came back down from the stage, the amount of people asking questions around us left me stunned, and I can definitely say that Gerard wasn't at all comfortable with the situation either. I've never been one to avoid interviews or shy away from cameras, but I think the last time I was approached like that was when I was cast in a superhero movie.
Hand in hand, we walked past the crowd of people and got into the car, leaving them with no answers.
- Holy shit! They just got crazy there. - A relieved laugh came out of my mouth when I looked at the window, seeing a lot of people outside - At Least they weren't throwing things at us.
- Yeah. - He took a deep breath, but you could see in his eyes that he was still quite dizzy. - Are you okay?
I nodded, although I was thinking about how we would deal with this in the next few days. I know that in a week or two people will forget about it and our lives will go back to normal, but still.
- Are you? - I asked with the kinder tone I could do at that point.
- I'll be, just need to sleep. - He smiled and started to drive. - I’m exhausted.
- Do you want to stay in my place? - considering that my house is closer, I think it would be logical for him to stay there. - My bed is big enough for the two of us.
- I'd love to.
*** time skip ***
We fell asleep cuddling, and when I woke up, still in his arms, I grabbed my phone and checked the absurd amount of mentions involving our names on all social media. Things like “such a cute couple” made me smile, but there were more “They’re using Gerard for hype” or “Ew! that middle-aged guy knows how creepy dating a person THAT much younger?” than I thought that would be.
My heart raced as I scrolled through the posts and saw that it was getting worse and worse. Far from being okay, I turned off my cell phone and began to think about how Gerard would react to this. A hot tear ran down my cheek and I held his arm tightly, trying to calm down.
Was this a good idea? Was telling them really a good idea? There were a lot of people talking shit about us, but it wasn't as if we didn't know that this could happen; on the other hand, there were people defending us and being very kind.
When Gerard finally woke up, we went to the kitchen and had a coffee. I didn’t know how to tell him, but I couldn't hide it from him either. This anguish was gradually consuming me, but I tried to feign naturalness in all my movements, wanting to avoid any questions at all costs. If the subject did come up naturally, the best thing to do was not to appear shaken by the comments, even though I was, and tell him to do the same.
- So… about yesterday… - The question I was most afraid came faster than a bullet - have you already seen people’s reactions?
Before answering, I took a deep breath and felt my eyes fill with water again. With the cup of coffee in my hands, I took a sip and concentrated so as not to let the fear overflow with more tears.
- Babe?
He didn't demand answers, but showed concern when he saw that I was about to break down right there in front of him. Without saying another word, he came close to me and comforted me in his arms. After a few seconds, he broke the silence.
- I knew that this was gonna happen… But I'm here no matter what, okay? - He hugged me tighter and all I could do was breathe heavily, attempting to feel some kind of peace. - And we’ll be fine, nothing’s gonna change between us, sugar.
A gigantic weight seemed to have been lifted off my shoulders when he finally said that. the lump that had formed in my throat loosened enough for me to confirm his statement.
- You promise?
With serious features, he looked deep into my eyes, causing the environment around me to become blurred and without hesitation he said
- I promise.
I swear I tried to erase everything I read from my mind, but my stomach churned again and with a trembling voice I blurted out an empty argument:
- But the people-
- I don’t care at all, babe, and you shouldn’t either! They’re just frustrated ones that can even write the swearing right!
Without even realizing it, I let out a giggle. He makes me feel so good, even in my worst moments.
I turned off my phone and didn’t look at it for the whole day, so we spent the day together. We talked about Gerard comics and he helped me go over my lines. Everything went so well that I even forgot everything that had happened in the morning, except of course for the promise that nothing would change. When I realized it, it was already late at night.
I was in the kitchen, making dinner, when I heard footsteps getting closer. I keep my eyes in the pan to not burn it all, then I notice when the sound stopped.
- Babe… - Gerard was standing in the beginning of the hall with a bottle of hair dye in his hand. - Do you think I should dye my hair black again?
- If you want to…
- I'm asking what YOU think, not what I think, babe! - He whined like a kid. - So… should I?
I giggled at his reaction and took a second to think about how to respond to him.
- Well, personally, I love your gray hair. - I said, looking at him. I tried to cut myself off, but i couldn't held myself and murmured the next sentence. - Actually, I think it's kinda hot
He passed through the kitchen door and walked slowly over to where I was. Attempting to pretend that I didn't said that, I bright my focus back to what I was cooking, but Gerard was in front of me with a raised eyebrow.
- Sorry, sugar, do you mind repeating? - He heard me. I could see in his gaze that he knew exactly what I said. With a damn grin on his face, he continued. - A bit louder now, if you don't mind.
- I said... - I tried to use a loud tone, but I feelt a little embarrassed to say that again, knowing he was paying attention and looking directly into my eyes. I cleaned my throat and tried again. - I said that I think your gray hair is kinda hot. But you already know that, right?
I felt my cheeks turning red while I looked away from his beautiful eyes and heard him chuckle at the situation.
- If you say so… - He walked close to my body and stood behind my back, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his chin on my shoulder. He brought his mouth close to my ear and whispered - then m gonna keep it like this.
He pressed a kiss on my neck, making me melt on him. The way he makes me feel is so surreal that sometimes I wonder if I'm just imagining it all. The "too good to be true" feeling haunts me from time to time, but moments like these remind me that I'm extremely lucky to have him with me, even though we heard a lot of shit about us since we turned our relationship public.
I guess we’ll have to deal with it, fortunately, we have our friends and the real fans to support us.

My Top 10 Favorite Games I Played In 2023
In chronological order. It's a long one.
Titanfall 2
I've been told to play this for years now, though for most of those I did not really know why, as it never seemed like my kind of game. But, ever since I started really getting into mecha sometime in 2022, I decided to finally give it a try. I'm very glad I did. Titanfall 2 is a criminally short First Person Shooter with a very fun mech/pilot dynamic, really good mechanics of movement and combat for both, and some of my favorite level design of any game I've played in a long while. The platforming is crazy good! The mechanics are tight as hell! The mech is awesome! I recommend Titanfall 2 for literally anyone reading this.
Mega Man Zero
The Zero series is the one that most called to me in the Mega Man franchise every time I looked these games over, and I was right in that judgement. While I couldn't say if I was going to appreciate most of the GBA era action platformer difficulty or not, it was clear from Zero's more agile movement and bite-sized missions with very memorization-heavy bosses that I would enjoy it. And I did enjoy it a lot! Most of the bosses kicked my ass but it was an absolute blast to finally learn their patterns enough to defeat them. The problem is, I went out of my way to not get any of the game's health upgrades or energy tanks, making the final boss so hard for me that after days and days of attempts I gave up. Not beating Mega Man Zero is probably my biggest regret of the year lmao
Fate/Stay Night
Honestly, what do I even say? You can see my Saber icon, right? Fate is a franchise I never bothered to get close to, knowing of its name only through vague images and names of more popular characters (not even from FGO, just in general), and from later on getting to know that Fate/Grand Order was the game it is I felt like it wasn't for me at all and who cares. So when I learned what the original VN was actually about I felt stupid. How could something so fitting to my tastes have gone under my radar for so long...? Despite not being much of a reader in general, F/SN is a very long game that feels like it's just as short as you need it to be. The prose flows so well, every single character is lovable in many ways, and there's so much passion written into them and the situations they're in that it's one of the most smooth-flowing VNs I've read (which granted are not many) even though it's around the high 6 digit wordcounts. I love this game dearly.
Stranger of Paradise - Final Fantasy Origin
I wanted to play this game since the first few trailers! How cruel was it that, not only did I not have a powerful enough machine at the time, but the game wasn't even on Steam until the year after release? Final Fantasy Origin is the game it presents itself to be. There's something about it that's so special to a certain kind of person (which I happen to be one of) and that falls flat for everyone else. The combat and its many Weapons, Jobs and Skills to use are just fantastic in how nice they feel, and I really do like the type of story Stranger tells. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm close to it. I like to describe Stranger of Paradise as everything good about PS2 and PS3 games in a modern title.
Pseudoregalia
An old feeling from a new friend. Pseudoregalia is everything I like in 3D Platforming, and a little bit of what I don't. If you've ever looked at a single gif or video of Super Mario 64 and thought, "this looks pretty fun to play," you should be playing Pseudoregalia. If you like goat ladies with big butts, I can't say I understand if that would sell you on a game or not, but it is a feature everyone mentions. I wrote on this game already, so please do check that out and get it. It's one of the three titles of this list that came out this year, and I have not heard enough people talk about it.
Armored Core VI - Fires of Rubicon
My favorite in this list, which is funny because I don't know what to say about it at all. Armored Core is a series I've been studying up on from the outside for a while, and the announcement for this title was my reason to finally dive in. Unfortunately, I did not get past playing the first mission of AC1 a few times and booting up AC3 once. But I will get to it eventually! Fires of Rubicon is one hell of an action game, that I adored for every single one of my (currently) 67 hours of play. Going through the campaign with builds a little too busted for the AI most of the time was my dishonorable focus of the experience, but there's a lot else to do for every kind of person. The amount of freedom you have for messing with your builds for either single or multiplayer is not to be underestimated. Though it could be better. Here's hoping there will be a game that is.
Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix
I played this game as a kid so much that the main menu and its theme are scarred into my mind, yet this whole time I had no idea what the game was actually like due to the fact that most of my playtime was doing a few races and just cruising around. Once you dive into trying to finish the story, MC3 is a much different experience. One that frustrated me so much, I got actually ill from the stress. Please take breaks, gamers! Your health is more important than finishing an 18 year old game! Still, I did eventually do it. Midnight Club 3's handling model and gameplay structure are really impressive in comparison to the much more popular Need for Speed series, and I have to admit I did enjoy the game a lot. It's just a lot harder than it ever needed to be. I'll probably never forget this game, and that's not really a good or bad thing. Just, advice from me, if it gets too hard, maybe switch to sports bikes. Buy that Ducati.
Test Drive Unlimited
Another car game, but this one I have the least to say about of any on this list. I had played TDU on PS2 multiple times before and thought it was awesome. The atmosphere and immersion of this game are unrivaled by any racing game to this day. But playing the PC version with a steering wheel and pedals made everything so much more incredible. I played the Platinum mod, which adds hundreds more cars and fixes a lot of issues with the original game (but not all of them; the game was still really rough and I hate how much the resolution is a pain to change). Overall, one of my favorite experiences with a steering wheel controller so far. Otherwise, a pretty good game if you like driving.
Super Mario Sunshine
An old friend, and a new feeling. I don't play 3D platformers as much as I wish I did, because they're really not part of my main priorities looking for games lately, but every time I play a Mario game, it's like I found love again. It was not the first time I played Super Mario Sunshine, as I had collected a dozen or so Sprites years before, but playing the whole game in I think two weeks during the latter half of the year was such an incredible experience. Unless for some reason you play it on the Switch, Sunshine is a game that loves you as much as you love it. And you do love it, right? I know I do. I'd love to play this game many other times in the future. Granted, that applies to every game here, I just wanted to say it out loud for this one.
Lethal Company
A fairly recent release! Having played it with many groups of people by now, both modded and vanilla, I think Lethal Company is probably one of my favorite multiplayer experiences ever. It is scary and hilarious, but also just really really good, to a level that surprised me for my quality standards of co-op (horror) games. Lethal Company turns friends into improvised horror movie actors and it's incredible. I'm almost at 30 hours played and will likely get to 40 at minimum. It's also pretty cheap and likely runs well on all sorts of machines, so consider checking this one out too.
Honorable Mentions
Witch on the Holy Night and Story of Seasons - Friends of Mineral Town are games I am adoring and could definitely go on this list, hadn't I started them both quite late into December. Maybe next year I'll give them a shoutout!

If not for you
(Mira Kano x Reader)
*image creds to owner
Word count: 655
I tried something a bit different with this story, its pretty short but all fluff i promise.
ps: not proofread
ps2: song at the end
----------------------------------------------------
There'll be no summer
There'll be no spring
If not for this love of mine
You and Mira were on a morning walk post games, seeing the same scenery for days. It was a peaceful walk, you would hold hands and the talks were mostly you gossiping and Mira pretending she didn't care.
It was on your way back "home" that you suddenly stopped, causing the woman to look at you worryingly.
"Is everything okay?" Mira asked.
You nodded with furrowed brows. "It's supposed to be summer."
The woman tilted her head and smiled adoringly at you. "In this..world, yes."
You sighed. "I can't wait to spend it with you in the real world."
Mira blushed, nudged your shoulder and pulled you to walk again.
Thornes without flowers
Bars with no drinks
If not for this love of mine
You went to separate games this time, hers being longer than yours, hence you waiting on her game door with a sunflower.
To say she was surprised was an understatement, usually in these situations she was the one waiting for you.
Mira laughed and walked towards you shaking her head. "Breaking tradition?"
You smiled. "I had to, didn't know how long this flower would last in my pocket."
She nodded. "I hope this is for me."
You chuckled. "Of course, the prettiest flower to the prettiest lady."
All the lights
All the parties would just fade out
Shut them down
It was before the three final card figures, your friends wanted to have a small party, after all you would be divided in groups to play. Since it could be the last time you saw each other, you convinced Mira to join all of you.
You were gathered on the subway rails, a bit far from the active arenas. It wasn't a large group, but the fun was there anyway. There were obviously a lot of drinks, especially since it's not exactly perishable.
You and Mira stayed together the entire time, sometimes making small talk with others but mostly people watching and enjoying each other's company.
If not for you, I wouldn't sing anymore
If not for you, I couldn't get off this floor
If not for you, hell would be knockin' on my door
You and Mira were walking back towards the arena after the party. In all honesty you were scared, tho you tried to hide it by making jokes or future plans.
She noticed, obviously, and led you towards a small fountain along the way. She didn't say a word, just pulled you down to sit beside her.
You wanted to ask, to fill the silence, but before you could do anything she spoke first.
"When we survive, you won't tell anyone about this. Understood?"
You nodded eagerly even without knowing what she would do.
That's when she started singing, you didn't know the song, but you were certain no one could do it better than her.
If not for you
No more Nirvana
No Billy Jean
No dancin' if you were gone
The aftermath was chaotic, you and Mira decided to play different games since your specialties were different. In consequence, you were running towards her arena like crazy.
The best moment in your life was seeing her alive, running to hug her (which she responded with the same strength).
How could I wake up
How could I sleep
How could I be someone
It was a relief when both chose to stay. You claimed you only chose it for her, knowing the woman was a bit fond and slightly crazy of this place. While she just rolled her eyes and let it slide this once.
All those crowds
All the music would just fade out
Not a sound
If not for you, I wouldn't sing anymore
You always stayed together afterwards, every game plan, every shenanigan she wanted. You were always there just as Mira was always there for you.

Happy Sarafan Headcanons
Mortanius, Raziel, Melchiah, and Azimuth are all transgender. peace and love on planet Nosgoth.
Anarcrothe/Anacrothe/Anarcroth is genderfluid and the multiple spellings aren't just the devs' inconsistency, but different spellings he goes by depending on what flavour of gender he's feeling at the time. Despite using different pronoun sets depending on mood, he defaults to he/him normally.
Purely because of the Anarcrothe's Adventure fangame using some backgrounds from the early Discworld games, I choose to believe that he's friends with Rincewind, the PC of said games. They're both snarky cowardly wizards, and it was them screwing around which caused the scars on his face mentioned in the BO1 character biographies.
Coming from the same starting point as medieval Christian "only procreative piv sex is Real Sex" the Sarafan went in the exact opposite direction. So instead of ending up at "so anything but that is sodomy and a sin" they ended up at "so any other acts aren't actually sex, so priests can remain technically celibate while getting up to all sorts as long as they don't do This One Thing."
This actually worked out really well for them because it vastly reduced the chances of accidental pregnancy amongst the priesthood who really shouldn't be in a position to get pregnant. Plus. Look around. No one in Nosgoth is both cis and straight.
Not fun or silly, but Moebius 100% has the same type of osteoarthritis in his hands as my grandma. The PS2 hand syndrome looks uncannily similar to her actual hands. Mortanius periodically does some bone necromancy to replace the cartilage, giving him back some pain free movement for a year or two.
Mortanius is also the person trans members of the church go to to get a quiet medical transition.
Azimuth has a girlfriend called Asenath. She knitted Azimuth's demons cute little hats until it became clear that her girlfriend had become a full on crazy cat demon lady and if this kept up, she'd be using up the wool of every sheep in Avernus parish.

Armored Core
I went on a journey this year. Or maybe I should say I continued an old journey.
On July 10th, 26 years ago, the first Armored Core released in Japan. On an unknown day about 20-ish years ago a young me stumbled upon a copy of Armored Core 3 for the PS2 in a used game store.
It's been some time since I decided to indulge in a lengthy, meandering post about my loves and hobbies outside of awkward Twitter threads, so I wanna air my thoughts on the Armored Core series! (This is gonna be a long post, primarily for my own enjoyment. You have been warned.)
Most who know me online or read my comics will know of my penchant for fantasy, but not all may know of my love for the "Real Robot" subgenre of mecha. As someone obsessed with DBZ and magic, you'd think I'd fall more into the epic "Super Robot" camp of mecha anime, but growing up I felt captivated with Gundam Wing and the Universal Century OVAs that aired on Toonami and Adult Swim. They hard-wired my DNA early on. (With the Escaflowne film later impacting me so hard with it's grounded mecha and magical fantasy setting that it played a huge role in inspiring WOE, though my comic is noticeably lacking in Guymelefs.)
Naturally that awe and love for such works made me feel incredibly drawn to Armored Core 3 when I first saw it. It was my introduction to a series that I wouldn't comprehend the true breadth of for well over a decade.
I was terrible at it, both due to my lack of experience with TPS games and the oldschool control scheme, but the customization, detail, and overall atmosphere of the game were incredible to experience all the same.
It wasn't until the holiday season of 2008 that I was finally able to fight through an AC campaign, when I was gifted a PS3 and several games, among which was Armored Core: For Answer. It blew me away. I already had fond memories of bumbling around AC3, but For Answer's over-the-top presentation, haunting soundtrack, challenging gameplay, and dystopic atmosphere really sucked me in.
Along with Demon's Souls it kick-started a general admiration of FromSoftware and the distinct games they developed. After getting swept up in the excitement of Dark Souls, me and a friend dabbled in Armored Core V and Verdict Day, even playing a decent amount of the territorial multiplayer, but it never drew me in like AC3 and AC4A did.
The years went on and although I always adored Armored Core, I took my sweet time getting around to going backwards in the series. I've always been a fan of emulation and rarely used to feel a particular drive to collect physical games, (can't say the same for myself nowadays. Sorry, wallet!) but I always remembered how much AC resonated with me, and when walking around used game stores I would muse to my friends that I wanted to someday collect all of the Armored Core games in physical form.
I made relaxed progress grabbing the games when I saw them over the years, but at the end of 2022, the Game Awards hit everyone with a bombshell reveal. The show faded to black, the screen eventually being lit by the Bandai Namco logo, followed by a little red light. Something in my soul knew what was coming as soon as I saw that simple red light start to glow, I jumped out of my seat and exclaimed out loud "Armored Core!?"
youtube
It was a trailer for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, the first new AC game in ten years. It was a surreal moment that still makes me smile now.
The series was always niche, but since it went dormant From has achieved superstar status as a developer thanks to the Souls series and Elden Ring. There's now more attention and interest in Armored Core than it has ever gotten in the past. It didn't dawn on me until a buddy messaged me shortly after the reveal that the prices of the old games were gonna go crazy from the huge amount of people who were From fans but had never heard of AC, and were now interested in trying the old games.
Some were content to wait patiently to see if the market and prices would calm down, but I took a gamble and started shoring up my collection ASAP. Sure it felt embarrassing paying so much more for several of them than they were going for a mere few weeks earlier, but I supplemented my hunt by selling a few rare old SHF and Figmas.
After a few tense months of scanning listings for good prices with some very focused personal criteria, the result was expensive but satisfying;
On top of this investment I even went all-in on the Premium Edition of ACVI. Perhaps people should rightfully poke fun at me for throwing so much money around for video games about giant robots, but it's not often I can say I accomplished a goal of this caliber in my life.
Now with all the games in hand a new journey had begun; from collecting to playing. I've played Armored Core games off and on since the early 2000's, but I was only just now finally making the pilgrimage through the series proper from the very first release, alongside the huge wave of newcomers dipping their toes into the old games before the new one comes out. Like an Armored Core version of Billy Madison.
I started playing the PSOne Classics release of AC1 on my PS3, before transitioning to my PS2 Slim once all of the PSX games were in my hands. Learning that both systems used funky software emulation for PSX games I went on a subquest of ordering and cleaning up a SCPH-39001 model PS2, (which was super nostalgic in it's own right since I started with a fat PS2 in 2003,) hooked up to a massive KV-36FV310 via component cables. I even went down a DualShock 2 model rabbit hole. Every game now looks and runs like a dream on this hedonistic setup.
As of the day I'm posting this silly blog post, I am seven games deep. I have 100%'d, (all parts unlocked, all missions complete, all enemy AC beaten both optional fights in missions and in the Arena,) without any Human PLUS enhancements or OP-INTENSIFY used, and even sticking with the default control scheme:
Armored Core
AC: Project Phantasma
AC: Master of Arena
Armored Core 2
AC2: Another Age
Armored Core 3
… And right now I'm just a few percent shy of 100%ing AC3: Silent Line. Sorry if this sounds like juvenile bragging, but it's always been hard for me to focus on and finish games. My ADHD has me jumping from game to game for years on end, never seeing many of them through to the end, so I want to indulge in a bit of pride being able to spend several months blasting through these games without slowing down, and without taking any shortcuts.
Admittedly I haven't played on Hard Mode in any of the games that have offered it, and Silent Line is really pushing me to my limit demanding S Ranks on every mission, but I'm still enjoying it and hoping to finish it up in time to sample a bit more of the games I missed out on, as well as make a nostalgic return to For Answer, by the time ACVI comes out.
Returning to Armored Core 3 felt especially sentimental. Like a return home. I'm sure many people can relate to the feeling of returning to a childhood game with newfound abilities and knowledge, finally able to do what your younger self could not. Having beaten the game that started this whole obsession for me about two decades ago is a really great feeling.
I adore these games. I always loved the few I did play as a youngster, and knew that From was a consistent enough developer that I would enjoy the rest as well, but not to the extent I truly have. Despite the time and money spent collecting them, I still underestimated just how much I'd fall in love with each and every one. Even the aspects others struggle to return to. I love the FCS quirks, the turn speed, the bunny hopping, the heat and energy management, the opponents riddled with cybernetic enhancements pushing you to your limits, I even love the old controls of using L2/R2 for vertical camera movement. For all it's quirks and older design philosophies it's such an engrossing and immersive series.
ACVI will be a very different, (and streamlined,) beast. I'm okay with this. My adoration for old Armored Core will only make it easier to return to and appreciate this storied series I've gone to such lengths to collect, even after the new one releases. I trust From to do the series justice, no matter how easy it is for newcomers to jump in.
I love Armored Core, I love this genre of mecha, and I hope lots of people will learn to love it as well. I want the new game to do well so we can see more in the future. I sincerely doubt anyone will actually have read all of this, but if you did, thanks for your time. I know my rambling can be unfocused and pretentious. I don't need to put this much effort into waxing nostalgic about video games, but I miss the part of me that used to do this on a regular basis.
(I also apologize for how much my comic updating will probably slow down when ACVI drops, regardless of what momentum I can build through July and August.)

Alright after almost having an irrational breakdown over whether or not I’ll see Spiderverse spoilers, I went to go see it
And since @psychedelic-ink wants to talk about it with someone, here are my notes :)
Spoilers below the cut, proceed with caution
My sibling said they knew of a cameo and I thought it was gonna just be J.K. Simmons as J Jonah Jameson (in two universes)
I was surprised that Gwen took up the intro. But I’m not mad about it, just unexpected. Which is exactly what she said “let’s do this differently”
THE RENAISSANCE VULTURE AHHHH so cool. Loved how the style clashed with the rest of the universe
Miles’ mom’s Spanglish is no joke. She would change mid sentence (mid- word???) my (limited) Spanish class knowledge can’t keep up 😭😭😭😭New respect for the Spanglish kids having to decode their parents all the time
Also was Miles’ roommate playing the Spiderman PS2 game? Like the controller was new but I swear it looked like the PS2 game. I understand the new Spiderman PS4 and PA5 game is popular rn so I’d get if it was that instead. I’m just not as familiar with that
I thought from the trailer that the spot was going to be a minor villain and they weren’t gonna show the main villain. But I like how they made him a genuine threat. He’s still a nerd tho
WHEN GWEN’S FATHER TRIED TO ARREST HER OMG. A cop’s a cop
Pavitr is so 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I love him
His hair is that luscious bc of shampoo and genetics lol. I get that a lot with my complexion. Never had any publicly visible acne, and yes I love flaunting that fact at least once a year so. This is the one
I thought “wouldn’t it be messed up if they reversed this a killed the captain anyways?” And I’m so glad they didn’t. Please let Pavitr continue to be the golden child. He deserves it
AND HOBIE!!!! He hates the AM and the PM (prime minister) lol. The comedic relief we didn’t know we needed. Also he is super hot. Is he a teenager tho? Hold on. Still don’t know. I’m not about to swoon over a teen but he looks over 18 and I have a soft spot for punk guys 😌😌😌😌
Hobie and Mayday is the best pair and they only had a few seconds together. Sad
ALSO, only critique, I was severely lacking in Mayday content. I would like to see the baby. Give me more Mayday
Does this make Miles Mayday’s godfather? Cause I hope so.
DONALD GLOVER AHHHHHHHHHHH
Donald as the big cameo was the best. I audibly gasped. Our hero. Thank you for sparking Miles Morales
Of course I loved the other Sony Peters.
Also I didn’t realize that was PS4 Peter saying “are you talking to me?” during the video game characters in prison. I thought it was Miles
ALSO WAS THE SPECTACULAR SPIDERMAN TALKING TO (I believe) MILES BECAUSE IT LOOKED LIKE IT
Oh! How could I forget the Lego Peter Parker ❤️❤️❤️ I cackled that Miguel said Lego Peter did some of the best work. Like hell yeah he did. Legos don’t mess around 😂
ALSO DID YOU KNOW THE LEGO SEQUENCES WERE ANIMATED BY A 14 YEAR OLD???? Crazy
Moose-teriyo
I know Miguel is trying to to save a whole universe and doing it for the greater good but holy cow man. He’s a child. It’s his dad you’re talking about. He’s not gonna be rational, and don’t ever expect him to. I wouldn’t. Like I don’t care, I just want my dad to be alright.
Also what is his beef with Peter B. Parker? I feel like there’s more there
Miguel’s backstory hurt tho. No wonder he’s traumatized. I’d become the antagonist too (not villain - just the person that gets in the way of the protagonist)
Also who’s the daddy of Jessica’s baby? We only got glimpses of her backstory. Like did she remove herself from the baby daddy? Did he die? Is Miguel the dad? I doubt it but I’m just nosey. I need her specific trauma gimmie gimmie. Jessica having a soft spot for Gwen. Women protecting women. Gotta love it
Is this the first movie to incorporate footnotes? I feel like it is. It’s certainly the first one I’ve seen. Also “I haven’t got a Scooby Doo” is a phenomenal phrase. And I’m so disappointed that the Brits use it and not us. Like, come on. We’re Scooby Doo capital of the world. Every American loves Scooby Doo.
Okay, Miles being an anomaly was a great twist. But wouldn’t his world collapse then? Wouldn’t Earth 42 collapse? Wouldn’t Miles glitch more? If Mike’s was never meant to be Spiderman than why is the multiverse not already erasing itself?
I think Miles and his universe is the key to restoring other universes, especially the ones where the holes were contained.
PROWLER MILES AHHHHHHH
I kinda knew he’d get stuck in a dimension tho with the “don’t get lost” line from mom. But I didn’t expect a world without Spiderman! So cool.

Persona 3 FES all school NPC dialogue not in https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/932312-shin-megami-tensei-persona-3/faqs/50852 ripped from the US version of FES with Persona Editor.
Since these are ripped from the files, you can only tell who's saying what by the names at the top and guessing by seeing the used lines around it. Thus, there's some dialogue without a name attached. You also can't tell the date it was said.
For some reason, all the ns files have '> Your Charm seems to have increased! > Your Charm went from "{F2 03 01 01}" to "{F2 03 02 01}"!' in them (not the ones with 汚甥凹飲衣に央奥しますか?)
(4/7)Aw, man… My classroom is on the other side of the school…
[nm006_001](School Lobby)
(4/7)Oh, I'm so happy! All my friends are in my class this year!
Female Student: …… …… ……
[ns006_001](School Lobby)
Vendor: Ah, welcome.
Female Student: …… Ah… Uh…
Female Student: Ungh… Ah… …… Ahh…
Female Student: Uaaaghhh… Ohhh… ……
Female Student: Uughh… Uaagh… Ahh… Ahh…
Female Student: Ahh… Uhh… Unh…
Female Student: …… …… Uaaah… Aaaah…
Female Student: …… Uh… Ugghhh… ……
Female Student: Ugh… Ugh… Uuuuughh… Ugh…
Female Student: Uaaggh… Aaahh… …… …Auu…
Female Student: This is the dialogue for Female Student.
[nm006_002](School Gate)
Male Student: This is the dialogue for Male Student.
Female Student(7/1): You know Akihiko-senpai? So, you wanna be friends with the big man on campus, huh?
Girlfriend: I'm waiting for my boyfriend… I heard from my friend that there's this freaky website that's really taking off… I'm gonna ask my boyfriend about it, cause he's good with computers.
Girlfriend: I'm waiting for my boyfriend… We're going to go to the shrine. It's so peaceful there.
Curious Student: You know how every school has at least one mystery that no one can solve? Obviously, this school has its share… Like the sculpture in the Art Room that moves by itself! …It sounded cooler in my mind…
Curious Student: Have you heard that crazy rumor that's going around online? You can get revenge on someone just by signing up at a website.
Curious Student: That revenge request website might be real, y'know. I know some guys personally who signed up… Okay, so it was their sister… 's cousin…
Curious Student: Hey, did you know there's an observatory somewhere on campus? Rumor has it there is one, anyway… But I've never seen anything.
Curious Student: I looked into the mysterious observatory, and I found something weird. No one here has ever been near it. Not only that, no one knows how to get there! Though that's probably because no one would ever be caught dead in an observatory…
Curious Student: I've been investigating that observatory some more… Guess what? No one has even HEARD of anyone going inside. Plus, there's no trace of it ever being used for a school report or anything. Although if no one went inside, that would have to follow…
Curious Student: I'll be a senior soon, which means I'll be studying for exams every single day. But that doesn't mean I'm giving up the hunt for mysterious stuff like that observatory. I have a very inquiring mind, you know. That's what makes me so interesting to talk to.
[ns006_002](School Gate)
Curious Student: Hey, have you heard about the ghost in the Home Ec room?
{"Yeah, I did."}
Curious Student: I'm impressed. You know this school pretty well.
{"No…!"}
Curious Student: I heard there's a ghost in there, man. The sewing machine will be on, but no one's inside… Or you'll hear weird voices coming from in there…
Male Student: I saw a girl in gothic lolita getup in front of the station… Man, she was so cute, I had to go up and ask her out! I said, "Hey, wanna catch a movie or somethin'?" But she didn't even move, except for breathing! She didn't even bother looking my way… My ego still hasn't recovered…
[nm006_003](Class 2-F)
Male Student: I hear that some of the athletic teams are recruiting new members… …Just the Track Team, Kendo Team, and Swim Team, though. The others are full. If you're interested in joining, why don't you go check it out? Go down the stairs to the right and eventually you'll find it.
Male Student: Dude, why did the cultural festival hafta be canceled…? It was the perfect opportunity for me to hit on some fresh meat… Now, all my awesome pick up lines will go to waste.
Male Student: Dude, I was invited into that cult thing again… I wonder who's in charge of that mess? I bet he's a chick magnet…
Fat Student: Being on a diet sucks. Maybe you didn't notice, but I look different than I used to.
Fat Student: It must suck being unconscious… I mean, you don't even know if you'll wake up or not.
Junpei(MAY): So, all this time, there was a Persona-user in the class next door, huh? Dude, we've been missing out… What if she's cute!?
Junpei(SEP): Dude, do you think it's okay for a robot to be here? Don't get me wrong… It'll make class more interesting. But, what are we gonna do if someone finds out? Man, I don't know about this…
Junpei(NOV): I hate going back to the dorm at a time like this… sigh I wonder what's gonna happen…
Junpei(DEC): Man, I don't have a good feeling about today… sigh I wonder what's gonna happen…
Junpei(MAR): Dude, she was checking us out… How could I have missed someone so cute? What have I been doing with my time?
Junpei(MAR): Hey, have you noticed? Those freaks with Apathy Syndrome aren't around anymore… Just a little while ago, they were everywhere. Weird, huh…?
Aigis(SEP): Please do not fear. You and I will be together all the time now, Main-san.
She is still far from passing as human… It seems she is unable to understand ordinary feelings and conversation at the moment… If she were able to do that, you may be able to create a bond with her.(All of Aigis' September dialogue has this added on the end)
Female Student: I was happy with my score. All that studying I did during summer vacation paid off.
Junpei(MAR): Lotta stuff's happened this past year… I don't remember what exactly, but it was big, I know that. But… if it was that big, shouldn't I remember it a little better? Aw man, it's making my head spin… I'm confusing myself! What the hell did we do this year?
[ns006_003](Class 2-F)
Male Student: Hey, you know how popular Yukari is, right?
{"She's popular?"}
{"I had no idea."}
Male Student: Dude, how could you not know that? You two live in the same dorm! If you don't use that to your advantage, you might regret it later.
Aigis(MAR): ……
Junpei(MARCH): 'Sup, dude? Let's go to Hagakure! I haven't had the special in a while.
{"Can you spot me?"}
Junpei: Wha…? Hey, I don't have any money! I'm just a high school kid. C'mon, we're friends, right? Two buddies with a dream of being heroes someday? Yeah… those were good times.
{"Nah, not today."}
Junpei: Aww, don't be such a wet blanket! C'mon, we're friends, right? Two buddies with a dream of being heroes someday? Yeah… those were good times.
Junpei: …Well, forget that for now. Guess what? Toriumi-sensei called me to her office again… She asked me what my plans were from April onward… Shyeah, like I have any! I was grinning, but I got one hell of a lecture for it… Why's she so damn serious about it? Kenji said she doesn't even calm down for cake anymore! Damn, dude…
Junpei: Oh hey, I heard from Kenji that the new teachers coming in April are all women. He was so excited, it hurt to look at him. Not that I care… I already got someone… Wait… …… …… I did have someone, right… …… }H-Hey! I'm not kidding. Why would I make up something that depressing!? I just… wanted to say that I… had someone important before… …… How could I forget something that important? Something I know I'm not supposed to forget… …… Sorry man… I'm gonna pass on the ramen.
Junpei: There's something… I can't remember… …… Ah, I give up. But I feel like it's something I really gotta remember…
Aigis has a sad look on her face and is strangely quiet.
Aigis(MAR): ……
The girl has a sad look on her face and is strangely quiet.
Complaining Girl: Well, there's that revenge website, but… It sounds like just a rumor to me.
[nm006_004](2F Hallway)
(Weirdly, the people talking in this file are 'Female Student', 'Female Students', 'Female', and '骸稲吋(鰍)'.)
Complaining Girl: Hey, I saw this girl last time, in front of the station… She was wearing a frilly white dress! It was like a "white goth"! Isn't it getting hot to be wearing those kinds of clothes…? She must be seriously devoted to her look. There's no way I could pull that off in this kind of weather…
Complaining Girl: My parents seem really depressed… We got in an argument about my future, and I think I said too much. I'm afraid they'll up and join that cult thing…
Female Student(4/24): I don't know why, but I'm worried…
(This dialogue is by the 2 Female Students is 2F Hallway.)
Female Student(4/21): I don't know why, but I'm worried…
Female Student(5/2): I don't know why, but I'm worried…
Female Student(5/13): I don't know why, but I'm worried…
Female Student(5/28): He's so stoic…
Female Student(5/30): I wonder why… It's scary.
Female Student: They said a girl in classroom C fainted too… Apathy Syndrome again, right? Phew… I'm glad it wasn't someone in my class…
Female Student: I told you! She just happened to faint in front of the gate!
Female Student: I wonder why… It's really scary…
Female Student(6/27): I wonder why… It's scary…
Female Student: My friend said that the guy who disappeared from the town nearby… He might be a victim of that revenge website!
Female Student: Revenge website!? What is that? Is it scary?
Female Student(7/8): Yeah… It must be just a rumor…
Female Student(9/3): I wonder why… I don't like it…
Female Student(9/16): I wonder why… It's so mysterious…
Female Student(9/24): I wonder why… It's so unfair…
Female Student(10/5): Yeah… It's scary…
Female Student(10/20): I wonder why… That's so weird…
Female Student(11/6): Yeah… It's suspicious…
Female Student(11/9): Yeah… He's so bourgeois…
Female Student(11/30): Yeah… That sucks…
Female Student(12/21): I wonder why… It's mysterious…
Female Student(1/8): I wonder why… It's so scary…
Female Student(1/23): Yeah… We've always been like this…
Female Student(3/3): Yeah… We better study…
Mitsuru Admirer: I was walking around the other day, and this weird guy walked up to me… He didn't wear a shirt, and he had weird tattoos… I tried to look away, but… I accidentally looked right into his eyes! They were the coldest eyes I'd ever seen… and then he smiled at me! God, even thinking about it gives me shivers all down my back…! If only it had been Mitsuru-senpai! I would have fainted on the spot!
Female Student: … … …(8 different conversations with just this in)
Female Student(4/27): … … …
Female Student(5/26): … … …
Female Student(6/24): … … …
Female Student(7/18): … … …
Female Student(9/1): … … …
Female Student(9/24): … … …
Female Student(10/20): … … …
Female Student(11/5): … … …
[ns006_004](2F Hallway)
Complaining Girl: I heard from a friend online about this freaky site that's really taking off. She said it's about revenge or something.
(6/3, 2F Hallway. Female Student's lines are used)
Female Student: Y-You know how horror stories are popular now? I-I'm too afraidto listen to them…
Male Student: S-Stop… I don't want to hear any of that stuff!
Female Student: …If you're the last one left in the school buildings, you'll hear a creepy PA announcement… A sobbing grandmother's voice can be heard from the speakers… And if you don't leave the school within 42 seconds… They'll find your corpse covered in bright red blood!
Male Student: Hey… If that story were true… Wouldn't someone have to die every day? I mean, someone's got to be the last one left, right?
That's so creepy… I'm scared…
Yeah, it's still scary.
…… …… ……
(Different day now)
As punishment for ditching class, they're making me clean up the classroom… But no one would know if I ditched the punishment, too.
…… Ah… Uuu…
Uhh… Ahhhh… …… Ah…
Aaaa… Uaaa… ……
Uhh… Uaa… Ahh…

Male Student: He sounds like he knows what he's saying, doesn't he? Well, listen to this… He bought 1000 pages of writing paper to write a novel, but he gave up after only writing three pages. So, now he uses the paper at school because he doesn't want to waste it. Doesn't he know that the school supplies teachers with paper?
Male Student: He sounds like he knows what he's saying, doesn't he? Well, listen to this… He racked up thousands of dollars in credit card debt trying to impress a woman he was dating. Turns out she was only using him for the money!
Male Student: I just don't agree with that. I mean, I'm not trying to impress anyone… I'm just being myself…
Male Student: He's just saying that to make himself feel better. Instead of scolding me, shouldn't he be trying to figure out what happened?
Male Student: Hey, did you hear that? He thinks he knows what people are saying about him behind his back… But, if he really knew, he'd probably cry himself to sleep every night.
Male Student: Did you hear what he just said!? He doesn't think I should be wearing such an expensive watch! Can you believe that!? I bought this watch with the money I made at my part-time job!
Male Student: Is he talking about the mistakes he made in his last lecture? Ha! The whole lecture was a mistake. I mean, if you could even call it a lecture! laugh
Male Student: Hey, did you hear what he just said? That's absolutely ridiculous! He's a public servant who lives off of the money tax payer's work hard to make. Tch, "No pain, no gain"… What a joke!
Male Student: Hey, did you hear what he just said? A pen won't stop someone who's attacking you, that's for sure. Tch! If I listened to what he said, I'd get killed the moment I stepped outside.
Male Student: Why's he pretending to be so smart? I don't want to hear that I'm wasting my life from someone who lives in his car!
Male Student: Hey, did you hear what he just said? He thinks I'm dangerous. He thinks he knows what I'm going to do? Tch! Not even my dad knows that… I'm not a thief, either!
Male Student: He thinks we're the same!? He pities me!? Ha! Whatever, dude…
Male Student: He's trying to say that I only LOOK tough? Tch! He doesn't know me. Maybe I should punch him in the face and prove him wrong. …Nah, he's not worth the time in detention…
Male Student: He thinks he's so smart! See things from the other person's point of view, huh? How come he never sees things from MY point of view, then!
Male Student: Isn't he embarrassed to say that? I mean, think about what kind of job he has right now. I'm sure he didn't even study when he was my age.
Male Student: I'm so tired of all his preaching. "The proof of the pudding is in the eating." Ha! I'd rather be eating pudding than listen to him preach, that's for sure. sigh Now I'm hungry…
Male Student: What the hell was he just talking about? I agree I'm no Picasso, but… whatever. I mean, he's a horrible teacher and his class is sooo boring. Ugh, I wish I could drop his class.
Male Student: Did you hear what he just said!? I could say the exact same thing to him! I wasted a whole year of my life listening to his idiotic preaching!
(New Male Student now)
Male Student: Last time I was hanging out at the strip mall, I saw a dude with some wild fashion sense. Long, wavy hair, no shirt, and tattoos all up and down his arms. I know it's heating up outside, but he kinda went overboard… But hey, maybe it's cool to let your freak flag fly. If I was more like him, not givin' a rip what people think, I wouldn't have a care in the world.
I'm not feeling too good, but he had to run off for a substitute lesson… Anyway, he never gives me any medicine I ever heard of… If I take it, I might get sick. And if I don't take it, he'll give me this other concoction. Why did I bother coming here…?
(I know this one's used)
I came here cause I'm not feeling too good… I just wanted some cough drops, but he gave me this weird-looking medicine. I wasn't in the mood to gather my courage, so I declined… And he busted out ANOTHER weird medicine that I'd never seen before!
I wonder if Edogawa-sensei will ever give out any normal medicine. Everything he prescribes is abnormal in some way… Hey, don't you think Edogawa-sensei and Ounishi-sensei make a weird pair? They always fight with each other… But for those two, it works. One freaky couple…

[nm006_011](Clubs Hall)
Would you like to go to Ryoseikan High School?
Female Student: I saw someone putting up those posters the other day… When I think about people trying to recruit me into a cult, I get scared to go into town…
Cell-phone Student: The admin of the site I'm checking out now is highly respected… I dunno why, but I don't really care, either. As long as the site itself is cool, I don't give a flip what kind of admin runs it.
Cell-phone Student: I heard there's a revenge website, but… the URL is top secret, right? I'm trying to figure it out, so I'm looking all over the web on my cell. There's a local BBS that seems like it has a lot of info on the site. But it's all garbage info…
Cell-phone Student: My friend asked me for the URL of the revenge website, but… I don't know it. But even if I did, why would I tell anyone else? I'd just keep it to myself.

Female Student: That persimmon tree is gonna be cut down! What a waste! I soooo wanted to try its fruit…
[ns006_016](Corridor)
Female Student: That tree is a persimmon tree, right!? Do you think it'll bear fruit? I hope so!
Female Student: Some people are boycotting the decision to cut down the tree! I guess they want to try its persimmons… Nah, there must be another reason…
Female Student: I saw an old man pick a persimmon from the tree! It wasn't even ripe!
Female Student(New one): Oh… that drink…! Can I see it? Ooooh… is this the limited-edition drink you can only get in Kyoto? Wow… impressive! I have to say, I love these rare drinks. Have you seen this one? It's only available in the fall. You want some? Well… I can't let you have it for free. I'll need… let's say 5,000 yen, to part with it.
{Buy it}
> You didn't have enough money…
Female Student: You don't have the money? That's not good. You should always carry enough money for rare drink emergencies!Female Student: Wh-What!? Are you really going to pay me 5,000 yen for this!? Wow, you must be a rare drink maniac! Thanks, though! Now I can get my own rare drink! > Obtained {F2 1D 38 11}. Female Student: Hey... Maybe you could help out a fellow rare drink maniac... Do you think if we made those persimmons into a drink, maniacs all over the country would like it?
Female Student: Kansai, huh…? So even if I take the bus, it'll cost around 10,000 yen…? Argh… How many drinks could I get with 10,000 yen? …Yeah? What's up? You like drinks too, huh? But all of yours are normal drinks… That Kansai-only drink is so rare and awesome that everyone wants a sip!
{Don't buy it}
Female Student: I see… I guess you're not a rare drink maniac. sigh(This dialogue is at the end of the file)
She doesn't seem interested in the drinks you can buy here…
Female Student: Kansai, huh…? So even if I take the bus, it'll cost around 10,000 yen…? Argh… How many drinks could I get with 10,000 yen? Rare Kansai drinks… I wonder how they taste…

How I fell down the Emulator Pipeline (or Rabbit hole, whichever you prefer)
It all started with moving away and leaving 90% of my stuff behind. Two of these things included my 3ds and my copy of Personal Trainer Cooking.
I needed some recipes for a meal I was doing, and I didn't have that hardware handy and I had no idea where it could be, so I just installed an emulator on my computer and ran the program on my PC. I needed the recipe to be mobile, so I can read it in the kitchen, so I installed Drastic on my phone and went from there.
Once I did that, I figured, "Let's emulate some of the games I've wanted to play again on my phone."
I did that for a bit, worked out fine. I then remembered the Jontron video about Pokémon. Ya know, the one. Jontron downplayed the Moemon hack, basically calling the creator of it a pedo which is unfortunate because Moemon is just Gijinka. It is not a hentai mod or a loli mod. It's just the reverse of turning a human into an animal. I'm very pro anthropomorphism, it's basically my whole deal. I like that term more than furry, even though one is way easier to spell than the other, the former is way more inclusive and is not an implication of sexuality.
In any case, I installed that mod. Actually, I had to patch a specific version of fire red to do that, but I figured that out and ran the Moemon mod which included Mega evolutions even though it's a mod of a game that came out many years before that was a thing.
Then I saw that there were more Pokémon ROM hacks, like a ton more. So I installed them. Not all of them are good though, we got edge lord mods, unfinished or glitchy mods, mods requiring patches from original game files that don't exist online anymore, and mods in different languages. There's a demake community that use fire red as the base for making a version of the current Pokémon games in a much older engine.
Complete overhaul mods, adding in content in the newer games, creating unique and often interesting fakemon (some of which are technically canon but not official).
So I went crazy and started downloading ROM hacks for Pokémon. Then I thought, "Surely there are romhacks for other games?"
The answer to that was, "not really." There are translation mods and glitch mods, but there are not a lot of "Let's add a lot of genuine gameplay to this old game" that's done in the scene.
After I obtained several dozen romhacks for Pokémon games from Crystal to Black, I thought to myself "I can't play all of these back to back, half of these are just Emerald mods. I'll burn myself out at this rate." So I decided to pace myself by playing every other turn based RPG in between any given Pokémon Rom hack.
So I grabbed every game boy ROM in the RPG category and went to town.
I had another thought, though, "if my phone can emulate Game Boy games and DS games, maybe it can emulate psone games or even PSP games.
So I installed every RPG that came out for the PSP and PSone that I could think of and added those to the list of games I'd emulate.
I got tired of using the virtual game pad, so I bought an entire controller and paired it.
After a couple of years, I returned home and dug up my old hardware. Found out that the server of basically every game I played was dead, so in order to make use of my old game consoles and handhelds, I had to jailbreak all of them.
So I did, from Mcfreeboot to Godmod9 I jailbroke my devices and any services like community servers or a romhack gift shop opened itself up to me. I reformatted a handful of 64 Gigabyte SD cards and gave my devices the storage I would have only dreamed of back in the day.
But I was worried, what if my PS3 games are lost forever due to my console dying? What if I want to continue playing Little Big Planet 2 even after my PS3 dies?
So I bought a PC specifically optimized for emulation and I started emulating PS3 and PS2 and Psone games. I figured out how to convert, export, and import save files for all those devices and the PSP and now the save file my friend made for his play through of Digimon World in 2003 can now be played on my PCSX2 system in the current day.
My phone is tiring out on me. It can't handle streaming videos, handling various misc apps that I use on top of streaming videos, and me playing games on it all at the same time. Half the time my progress in a game is dropped because my phone can't process all of that.
So I bought an AYN Odin Pro, and now I emulate almost everything on this one device, and the rest I run on my Beelink.
None of my devices can emulate PS4 or Xbox Series S games, but I genuinely have no idea what's worth playing beyond that point because I don't buy first party games, so those new games come out on steam. Don't need emulation or a new console there now, do I?
Steam Deck is doing gang busters, and I feel like the future of gaming is handheld emulation devices playing games long abandoned by its original creators.
But what do I know? I'm totally indoctrinated by the seven seas of piracy. Now, if you don't mind me. I'm going to figure out whether I can turn a bricked PS4 into a Linux machine...

Some thoughts on the first hour of Final Fantasy X, from someone who has never touched it before:
Wowie I forgot Final Fantasy games traditionally have really fucking strong openings because of how blah 9 was. One of the best songs in the franchise (To Zanarkand) playing over some kinda in-media-res cutscene of everyone looking exhausted and the expressions on Yuna's face when she leans into Tidus and the read of "Listen to my story. This... may be our last chance." and it's all being rendered in-engine, good fucking stuff.
Crazy that Sora AND Tidus both have that goofy-ass run animation.
I have to wonder if the fact that the setting being (as many people have pointed out) based largely in Southeast Asian/Pacific Islander aesthetics/culture is because they wanted to flex THE POWER OF THE PS2 with a lot of watery environments and those cultures were a natural fit for watery environments, or if they chose that first and then went "wait, we can do a lot of cool shit with water!!!"
It's so goddamn refreshing how Tidus kinda just rolls with everything. He gets with the picture real fuckin' fast, considering how insane the circumstances are, and because this is a pre-irony poisoned world, he's not commenting on how fucking weird it all is.
I always assumed that Tidus was isekai'd directly to the village with Wakka, so the mini dungeon tutorial where Rikku shows up was a genuine huge surprise.
Jesus Christ, no wonder people always spoke about the Sphere Grid the way they do. What the fuck were they cooking with this???
I also always assumed that infamous scene where Tidus laughs really awkwardly just comes out of nowhere, but like... Wakka does that right away. He does the same boisterous AH-HA-HA-HA!!! laugh and Tidus goes "I know he was trying to cheer me up". How are people so bad at understanding media for teenagers.
The thing I genuinely miss the most, playing on a PS3 rather than my PC/Modern Console, is that I don't have a share button to take screenshots. I never would have thought the share button would become so integral to my experience with video games when it first became a thing with the PS4/Xbone, but it really is so nice being able to take screenshots and video while playing as a native function.
I probably won't be doing more posts like this but I just had a lot of thoughts going in mostly blind.

funny that honneamise soundtrack waas the same year he also did last emperor soundtrack and apparently the reason he didnt use synths on last emperor was cause he showed bertolucci his setup and bertolucci just went what the fuck did can u use a orchestra or smthn crazy real like that and then he did but like honneamise soundtrack is def great and all the keypoints of the movie like have music that matches it perfectly like the opening credits ending credits training montage space odyssey type sequence at the end but also there is a lot of music on the cd that sounds like a ps2 game lol. tho kinda funny listening to the soundtrack im like fuuuuuck cause it rly is one of my fav animated movies. idk it just has that rly ambitious quality to it that gets me extremely excited like just beaming with possibilities. like someone yelling at random ppl on the street telling them how much better life could be

My 12 year old cousin and some of his immediate family came for a visit and apparently he went into my room when I wasn't there (which I don't mind since he's a respectful kid and doesn't paw through my stuff), saw my ps2, and asked my mom if it still worked and if I still used it. It occurred to me that it must feel like an ancient relic to him, possibly one only previously spoken of in legends. Not sure how I feel about that.
But yes, it does work and I do still use it semi-regularly. It's like 20 years old. Crazy, considering how shit the first ps3s were.

Some of my favorite games of all time
If you were to ask me what my favorite game of all time is, i would probably say something like "Of all time? I don't know, depending on the day and my mood it could be ten different games" Or something to that effect. The games listed here are a healthy mix of some genuinely amazing, ten outta ten games and some "I played it a lot when i was a kid" With that said this list is in absolute no order, the #1 on this list is not my all time favorite game, just one of them.
10. Sims Bustin out
Alright starting off with a bit of a left curve, but Sims Bustin out is one of my favorite games of all time. Which is a statement i trust not too many people have said. Is Sims bustin out the best Sims game? No, that's probably Sims 2. Bustin out beats out 2 mostly for that sweet sweet nostalgia. Anyone who has played, and gotten into the Sims knows how addicting the game play is, balancing work, personal life, relationships is so much more enjoyable when done virtually than in real life. I have so many memories of booting this game up late at night when everyone had fallen asleep, excited to get a new promotion in my criminal career path. The gameplay of Sims Bustin out is purely addicting, and it's an addiction i haven't really shaken from childhood. Now I'm off to never say or type "Bustin out" ever again
Release Date- December 16, 2003

9. Donkey Kong Country
I remember the first time playing this game, my friend invited me over and about half way through i asked "So, whats the plot exactly? Like, are we trying to rescue your girlfriend or something?" I was beside my self when my friend went "Nah, we're getting your bananas back" It's such a funny premise and shows the game doesn't take its self too seriously, beneath the surface of this over the top goofy game is genuinely one of the greatest 2D platformers of all time . One of those games that has infinite replay ability because its so much fun going through these stages. The difficulty curb isn't too crazy, and eases you into some of the most challenging but fair levels from any game. Not to mention this one of the best looking games to come from the Snes, with one of gamings best soundtracks. I genuinely love this game, and believe its worth playing, even if for only a few levels.
Release date- November 18, 1994

8. Kingdom Hearts
*silence* WHEN YOU WALK AWAY
The Kingdom hearts series has had its up and its downs, it has had it's Organization XIII and it's time travel (for some reason) the original Kingdom Hearts is still a pretty simple and straightforward game which i definitely think helps with it's longevity, i don't know what is going on in Kh3 and i played all the other games leading up to it. KH is a beautiful marriage between Square Enix and Disney, it should not work out nearly as well as it does. The developers really got things right off the bat, the worlds (for the most part, fun fact you can actually skip under the sea) are fun to explore or at the very least, thanks to the enjoyable combat system, they are fun to fight your way through. Each world of course has its own vibes, they have their own unique heartless and boss fights. If you want extra content KH has you covered. Two (pretty difficult) secret bosses to find in the Peter Pan world and Aladdin world. You also have the coliseum to go back to, eventually making your way up to the Hades cup filled with enemies you have fought along the way as well as a few boss fights including of course Hades him self. You can't talk about side content without talking about Sephiroth. You can beat the game, credits will roll, Sephiroth will still kill you. Or for giggles you can attempt a speed run (for me my best time is around 5 hours) Kingdom hearts was also the first game that was purely just mine, after having to share with my siblings no one but me in the house was all that interested in saving my friends and returning back home to Destiny islands. This is game that scratches that nostalgia itch, and is just a genuinely fun game

7. Wind Waker
Link to the past was my first Zelda game, but Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game. Wind Waker, how do i love thee, let me count the ways
The open world was vast with so much to see and explore, this is a point of contention as there are those out there who don't like the great sea. And those people are wrong. The great sea offers such a great sense of exploration. Feed the fish to learn about each island (49 of em) take on each enemy outpost you encounter, hunt for treasure, fight sea monsters, explore ghost ships, or simply watch a storm roll in. While Zelda stories are never very deep, i quite like this one. (slight spoilers for a 20 year old game) you discover what happens to Hyrule when it's hero fails to rise, for a cartoony game its story is fairly dark. And of course the game looks fantastic, even going back to play the original gamecube release it still looks very good. Some complain that this is one of the easier Zelda games, but that criticism goes out when you consider Breath of the wild is the easiest Zelda game and that's the one everyone says is perfect. Zelda games aren't meant to be dark souls, and i really do love just sailing around.

6. Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega Genesis)
A.K.A the official Nostalgia representative. The Sega Genesis was the first console i ever played, games like Eternal Champions, Phantom 2040, X-Men, Alex Kid in the enchanted castle, while i do have a soft for these games and many others that kicked off my interest in gaming, not many hold up exceptionally well today, that is of course expect for Sonic on Genesis (I'm cheating here a bit and including the three main line sonic games on the genesis ) These games represented the best that the Genesis had of offer and are still a blast to play to this day. Who wants to play as a slow Italian plumber when you can play as a cool blue hedgehog with attitude. Just try and put your controller down, he will tap his foot impatiently. It was the 90s, and being cool was so cool. Speed? Oh speed was the coolest. Race through the levels with master reaction time jumping over enemies and obstacles to race to the finish. 30 years later, and these games still hold up exceptionally well
Release date- June 21, 1991

5. Red Dead Redemption 2
I wanna be a cowboy baaaaby
There is no such thing as a perfect game, but RDR2 is pretty close. The Story is this game is one of my favorites. Following a gang in the dying days of the wild west, it has some twists. It has some turns. And in the end, it had an emotional and satisfying conclusion. RDR 2 excels at what any sandbox strives for, an amazing world to explore. As fantastic as the story is, the world has so much to see and do and explore. Stranger missions (side missions) scatter the world from becoming hunting friends with a war vet to gathering dangerous and exotic animals that have escaped from the traveling circus. Like searching for creepy Easter eggs? Because great, you can explore a haunted swamp, find a woman imprisoned by her own family, and follow the clues leading to the lair of a serial killer. With over 200 animals living in the world of RDR 2, it really does feel alive. The world is diverse and never a bore to travel through, in part thanks to the fact RDR2 is one of the most graphically impressive games I've ever played.

4. Animal Crossing New Leaf
I bought a 3ds just for this game, i went to Gamestop the morning the game released and bought a Red 3Ds XL along a copy of Animal Crossing New Leaf. I won't get into New Horizons here, but New Leaf is still by far the series has offered. New Leaf was peak Animal crossing, it took the game several steps forward while still staying true to the Animal Crossing formula. You move to a village and become the new mayor, which allows you freedom over your town like never before. With public work projects you could decorate your town, as mayor you could set ordinances so villagers either stay up late with your, or maybe they wake up early with you. The music is arguably the best Animal Crossing has given us. Fortune cookies allowed you to decorate your home with items from Zelda, Mario, Pikmin, Starfox, etc. Forge friendships with your neighbors, try to force the ugly ones out, actually upgrade your shop all the way. Maybe the best part, no incredibly long tutorial. The game just, starts. It's easy for anyone from any age to get into New Leaf.
Release date- June 9th, 2013
Console- 3DS

3. Hit and Run
You ever wanna play gta but your mom wont let you? Just play The Simpsons Hit and Run, its sorta the same game. Hit and Run has a fair amount of flaws, like the fact you essentially repeat the same 4 or 5 missions over and over again. Race that car, follow that car, destroy that car, collect stuff the car drops (worst of these missions) However, i am a Simpsons fan and also it's a game from my youth, it was always going to make it on this list. (I see you Road Rage, get outta here) Even though the missions aren't the most thrilling, the game it self is still a lot of fun to mess around in it. Springfield is honestly pretty faithfully re-created, outside the standard missions there are plenty of extra goodies (level gags, collector cards, bonus cars to unlock, costumes such as cool Lisa, Bartman, Donut head homer and officer Marge) driving around feels good and doesn't take long before you start discovering shortcuts in each level, allowing you to absolutely smoke the computer players. 2. Pokemon Red and Blue
Is Red and Blue the best Pokemon games? Nah. Are the the only ones I'm nostalgic for? Nah. As much as i love Gen 2 Pokemon games Gold and Silver, i just can't justify having them over Red and Blue. These are the games that got me into Pokemon, i was the Pokemon generation and these games are so important to my childhood i just couldn't leave them off. I was on the playground when kids went "Hey you know you can catch a mew by moving that truck" It pained me that it was never true and Justin's dad did not in fact work at Nintendo. Red and Blue have not held up as well as many other games on this list, and even when the complaint for newer games are "Well this is nothing new" They still add onto and improve upon the original formula, however Nostalgia is an incredibly powerful force and this game like few others has the ability to make me feel 5 again.
"Do you believe in ghost? Hahahaha, i guess not. That white hand on your shoulder, it's not real"

Super Smash bros ultimate
Each new Smash bros game instantly becomes the new best Smash game (sorry, Melee fans) at least that's the case for the general public. Each new game updates and adds onto the previous game, Smash ultimate is a rare beast in that whatever comes after it, can't possibly top it. The next smash game will more than likely be a great game, much like all old smash bro games are, but the next smash won't be able to say "Everyone is here!" The amount of characters and stages really does feel like a once in a lifetime thing. You'll never be able to say "Let's play a round of smash, you'll be Pichu, you can be Snake, you can be Ken, and I'll be Sora" Ever again. Smash ultimate is a game i have fairly regularly gone back to play since it's release in December 2018. As of writing this now i have played Smash Ultimate for 535 hours, that's 22 days of my life spent playing this game, and i have no regrets. I'll boot it up only expecting to play a few minutes but then I'll start playing as one of 80 some characters i haven't give much attention to. Figuring their move set out, figuring out whether or not i want to make them a main or not. Each character feels unique, but the controls are simple enough you never feel overwhelmed stepping out of your comfort zone and maybe trying out a little mac if you're used to playing as a Mega Man. Sakuria and his team created one of the greatest fighting games of all time, a game that will be re-visited years after it's own release.
Release date- December 7th, 2018

First group of friends I had post highschool were all pretty differently staged nerds, but we’d all kinda been left together from an older group of friends that sucked.
One of the more nerdy guys we both really loved metal gear solid. The other in the group were the sort of friends who will absolutely listen to you rant and will always become invested— but invested because of ur love not their own. Anyway idk remember why but we all went on a weekend cabin trip and you know, we called the event Metal Gear: So Many Winery.
No one really got the joke — like it was objective not that funt and not at all funny if ur not into metal gear as a concept? But it caught on like crazy, it was just what we called our social outings it was barely a joke anymore lol
So, my favourite and most cherish memory of this thing, was when we decided to actually sit down and play Snake Eater on our mates Ps2. And then we thought like, wow it’s happening at last, we should get formal. So… we did, and we COMMITTED
We ended up having corsages, asking each other to be our dates (there were five of us and two were siblings so I took them as the responsible bisexual present) and we took pictures together in the house we hosted at, their parents did a full shoot for us, and then we all shuffled into the back of the house in our full prom suits and dresses, and we played Snake Eater start to finish.
I haven’t spoken to that group for about ten years, but i think I will try and get everyone together once again, old pics below,
Metal Gear Prom you were everything
Pics!⬇️
My friends and I used to do this thing where we'd dress up on a theme and go do something totally normal.
We dressed up as pirates and went bowling.
We dressed as vikings and went to the grocery store. The security guard told us we had to move our longship because it was illegally parked.
We dressed as Romans and went to Blockbuster. The staff chanted, "toga! Toga! Toga!" at us.
We dressed up all steampunk and went to the museum. Tourists kept taking our picture.

You were on a work trip when it happened. Using the city as a two day rest between negotiations meetings ended up not only leading you to an alternate reality but a deadly one.
Your first game was simple enough, a three of diamonds based on ethics, almost as if it was made for you. Afterwards, it wasn't hard to find the beach, they were still at the beginning of setting up the place so your help was welcomed.
After a few days you got used to this new world, of course the games were challenging but the prospect of creating a society made you feel a bit closer to home. The other inhabitants were nice but you rarely went past pleasantries with them, except Ann.
You both became friends after you supported her decision to perform autopsies on some of the dead. It wasn't a best friends relationship but you protected each other and that was enough in borderland.
Mira arrived around the tenth day of The Beach, quickly rising above the hierarchy due to her six of hearts. However, some still believed she needed a test, so that's how you two started talking.
You were meant to supervise her game, going only you, Mira, Ann and Chishiya. The game was in groups, four people would head to a room where they would be separated into two partners, difficulty being nine of hearts. Leaving you and Mira in one room, Ann and Chishiya in another, which meant you weren't playing together.
Instead, your game was partnered with Mira and against two other girls. All you had to do was be the first to press the button at the end of a small maze, well, with a blindfold and countless noises varying from snakes to chainsaws. It was a game of trust, since not knowing if the threats were true or not.
You can't say the game was easy, after all, walking blindfolded through an unknown path while listening to screams was definitely frightening. But you trusted her, and won.
The four of you went back to the beach discussing the game and deaths of the other players, morbid but it was better than going insane with guilt. You obviously gave Mira a good evaluation, you did return without a scratch.
In consequence you both got closer, going from small talks to 2 a.m conversations about humanity.
Mira was crazy, not in a bad way, but still crazy. She would talk for hours about heart games and get happy when you showed genuine interest. She would constantly do minor manipulations to people in order to achieve whatever she wants at the moment. And lastly, she seemed to truly enjoy the new world, of course it wasn't wrong to like it, but all of the destruction was too much for you.
However, you adored all of her traits, finding her unique in a special way.
Your feelings for the woman were quite obvious to anyone, following her around and staring with heart eyes were definitely giving you away. She knew of it, how could she not, you would shower her with presents and affection.
At first Mira wanted to use your feelings, or so she thought, it's quite easy to believe in a lie, especially a well told one. She just didn't want to admit that being by your side was because she worries for you, or that she holds your hand to stay sane or that she adores your gestures when you get excited about something.
You both danced around your feelings for a long time, until Arisu showed up and right after it, Hatter died. Unlike you, Mira knew what was going on, and for the first time in a long time she wasn't thrilled about a Hearts game.
Before the game started, you were both at the roof counting stars when she kissed you. It wasn't rushed or intense, it was slow and meaningful, as if it would be the last time this would happen.
Mira left you with Ann after the game began, you were worried for her but if there was a chance to end the challenge you had to take it, so you helped your friend.
You didn't see Mira when the figures game was initiated, none of the others could tell you what she had done. So you carried on, kept looking for her but never straying too far from one of the group members.
You spent more time with Kuina, she would always assure you that Mira was fine, you never really believed her.
When the King of Spades was defeated you looked an absolute mess, multiple wounds, none too deep, but a lot of blood. And you still carried on for the Queen of Hearts, going in with Arisu and Usagi, trying to forget the pain of seeing Ann bleeding out, because you had to finish this, for them.
You weren't stupid, deep down you knew but chose to ignore it. Everyone kept telling you she was fine, or looked at you with pity. It was simple, she either died or was one of the figures.
You weren't surprised to see her on the rooftop, not even with the game she chose. You just stood aside and waited.
It wasn't a surprise when she got in their heads and played as if they were just pawns in chess.
What surprised you was when you started crying. You can't even remember how it started, just that it happened.
For a moment Mira forgot her goal and just ran to you. She embraced you while the others regained consciousness, and waited until you calmed down.
It's funny how she was supposed to be the Queen of Hearts when her own doesn't belong to her anymore. If only you knew how she would give anything to you, even life.
She asked Usagi to stay with you while the game came to an end. You closed your eyes during the play, not bearing to watch when you knew the finale.
You only looked again when hearing her little "I won", running to hug her and beg for her not to leave you again. You wouldn't let her go, not even when the time was getting to zero, you just couldn't.
You fell down when she died, clutching to her body, sobbing, asking anyone to help you, to fix it, to switch places.
When it asked if you wanted to stay you said no, not without her, you asked for both to leave, again and again until everything stopped.
You woke up in a shared hospital room with a few bandages and a very painful headache. Looking around only to find a woman laying next to you with bandages on her head and a breathing tube.
She seemed weirdly familiar but you couldn't quite remember her, so you went back to sleep and hoped to meet the woman when she wakes up.
