I've been thinking about power levels of this world for a while now, which made me question who the most powerful would be.

Aya has always been planned to be the most powerful, as she is the oldest alive witch and a witch's power level is deeply tied to her experience & knowledge.

Then I decided the 2nd most powerful one should be Aya's oldest apprentice that is still alive; Selma. Aya approached Selma mids the Gallic Wars due to rumors of a child druid who never aged. Part of the reason Selma is as powerful as she is, is her age, but it's also due to her being quite obsessed with power. This includes a desire to make a powerful wiccan bloodline. (Hence the 21 daughters)

3rd, is an old pupil of Aya's ex-lover (Now dead) who too grew deeply resentful of humanity. Now Yu is much the same way, but rather than die (As almost all witches do sooner than later) she choose to exile herself from humanity, other supernatural beings and fellow witches.

She may hate humans, but she isn't fond of other magical beings either, including witches. The reason she is as powerful as she is, other than age, is due to her time in exile being the perfect opportunity to strengthen and practice her skills and connection to the goddess.

Her backstory is based on the real tale of Chen Jiao.

As for; The 3 ways to become a witch

First of all; only women can be witches in this. Just so there is no confusion.

Originally I thought all witches should be chosen, but then I wanted there to be families of witches for the sake of the characters, so I added the inherited way. Then I remembered the old tale of trading your firstborn to witches/demons and thought it would work great with the lore.

The reason it was once the norm to be chosen is that there simply weren't enough witches to be able to pass it down. But as that increased, fewer witches were chosen. The only witch to be chosen in the last 100 years is Hella from the main cast of Midday Coven.

Popular gamer girl, Phoebe Danvers lives with her older brother, Julian Danvers, and hangs out with her friends, junkie gamer, Selma Dennison, smart gaming/internet technician, Richie Williams, and rookie gamer, Elijah "Eli" Chapman as they stream their way into gaming on the internet. They live at a Plaza apartment building at San Francisco, they go to college, hang out at the nerdiest store they go to a lot called, Dodger's. Where there's comic books, video games, movies and CD's to buy, coffee and soda to drink, snacks and food to eat, and arcades to play at. And that's where Terrence Brady runs it all. And he has gamer god powers almost different than Skips' immortal powers in Regular Show. And for Richie, he lives with his mother, Cecilia Williams. And while Phoebe's dad is away doing military work, Phoebe decides to stay with her brother and her friends as a family. More details coming soon if this get any notes.

Was relistening to "Popular" from Wicked and immediately realized that Ryo is a lot like Glinda. I am stupidly obsessed with this strange little man who won't be in the pilot, but boy will you get to see him later on (mostly to the annoyance of Claire and Atka, but they still see him as a friend). Man- I wish I had the energy to color this. In the future, I might find the time. Because "Popular" is their relationship to a T.

Whumpril 2024 Day 1: Limp

@whumpril hi idk, this is my first time participating in a whump event, but ive been a lurker forever so i thought id give it a go

Warnings: idk, it’s not graphic, just mostly caretaking, implied violence, aftermath of violence, all under cut cus yeah

Day 1: Limp

Everly arrived home from work with her hair practically falling out. Having missed her bus, she’d walked the whole way back from the station in the city. The rain had made her usually neat red hair frizzier than normal, and by this point her mascara was almost certainly dripping down her face.

Her plan was to quickly clean herself up, check up on Selma who was still in the attic, and then go to bed as quickly as possible.

She went into the front room to close the blinds, and found Selma asleep on the sofa, rolled over in that awkward position she always slept in, quietly breathing in and out, in and out.

Did she dare move her? If she carried her upstairs, to her more comfortable bed, she might wake up, and that wasn’t what she wanted.

She made up her mind to move Selma. She slowly hooked her arm around her sleeping friend, whose face looked so quiet. Selma’s signature bun was messed up, and her hair looked even worse than Everly’s did.

Dear God. How could he have done this to her?

Selma’s body fell limply in Everly’s arms. Taking care to be quiet, she tiptoed up the stairs, and came to the attic. She laid Selma down on the comfortable bed and made sure she would be warm when she woke up.

‘Night, Selma,’ she said quietly. ‘Love you.’
