MCSM Blight AU. This AU includes Jesse getting the combined wither sickness of EVERYONE slowly overtime and turning into something akin to an enderman or wither skeleton. The sickness does NOT spread to anyone else.

This AU is based off of the song Kiss Me, Kill Me by JerryTerry and the Rainworld map using that song. This AU will be heavily JESSKAS centric, especially towards the end.

The AU will be INTERACTIVE!! Meaning that for many of the posts regarding this AU, it will have a poll located under the read-more bar for the followers of this blog to choose what Jesse does. There will be plenty of these options, though do not expect them to be on every post.

Alejandro and Trent are very shippable characters, so it was inevitable that someone would start seriously shipping the two despite their complete lack of canon interaction. So long as you're enjoying yourself, who's to judge?

I'm happy to hear you've figured out some of the details of your AU! It can be super hard to figure out what direction you want to take your ideas in, especially for an AU as broad and character-filled as your own.

The brainrot is real and it consumes us all. If these ideas are what make you happiest and/or are the ones that you find the most amusing, then include them in your story! Self-indulgence is half the fun of writing/drawing/creating your own AUs. 😌👍

The Wei Wuxian makes a wish series by natcat5

My attempt at a summary: this is a madoka magica AU (which i had not watched prior to reading this fic). Cultivators, in this universe, are created when a teenager makes a wish to the creature named Kyubey, which than grants them their wish and the power to fight witches, strange and destructive creatures of despair that lure people into their labyrinths. Wei Wuxian, at the beginning of the story is not a cultivator, but his friends are and so is the mysterious new student at his school, lan wangji, who follows him everywhere and seems to be obsessed with preventing him from making a contract.

My comment: my attempt at a summary does not do this story justice and is really just a setup. Honestly i cannot put into words how much I loved this story. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It made me laugh, it made me cry for entire chapters, it drew me into it's world so much that I freaking dreamed about it! (I'm not kidding, I really did) Honestly, this fic deserves so much more attention than it is currently getting. Not only is the plot expertly crafted, with reveals that shock you and leave you reading, but the author also just gets the characters. The best thing an AU can do, in my opinion, is take familiar characters, put them in unfamiliar situations and then manage to make the way they react believable. And this AU nails that! The conclusion and the choices that Wei wuxian and lan Wangji make in the end felt exactly right. Not to mention, it has a stellar ensemble cast! Everyone is here (except Xichen sadly and I kind of think it is deliberate because without him, Lan Wangji lacks a support system). Again, I cannot recommend this story enough. It is, without doubt, my favourite fic series in this entire fandom. (Caution however: Do read the warnings in the tags and notes and take them seriously. They are there for a very good reason.)

Author’s summary: Lan Xichen is in isolation. Wei Wuxian visits him. Together they find their way back to happiness, to clarity and to home. 

My comment: This one focuses on both Lan Xichen’s and Wei Wuxian’s issues and lets them resolve them together. I am such a fan of their characterisations in this fic, as well as Lan Wangji’s even though he is not the focus. I love it when non-romantic relationships are the focus of fics and especially when they are central to the character’s resolving their own issues and moving forward in life and that is exactly what happens here.

Author’s summary: Lan Zhan is sad and not hungry; Lan Xichen asks Nie Mingjue to help him. 

My comment: This one is a really short and sweet read about how Lan Xichen and Nie Mingjue parent the their younger brothers. I just really liked how the author portrayed todler Lan Zhan, as well as these two teenagers doing their best to be the parents that both he and Nie huaisang lack.

Author’s summary: There is a music that plays in the night at Cloud Recess....but there isn't suppose to be. Lan Xichen investigates the mysterious dizi music that can be heard from the Jingshi at night following the Siege of the Burial mounds.

My comment: I absolutely adored this one, mainly for two reasons: 1. I love an outsider perspective and Lan Xichen’s, at this point and with his limited knowledge is absolutely wonderful. First, he isn’t even sure is what he thinks is happening really is happening and when he is sure, his feelings are, understandably very conflicted. 2. The author’s style compliments this fic so well. Since most of it happens at night and Xichen isn’t entirely sure that he can trust his senses, there is a certain dreamlike quality to it that the author writes beautifully. This fic is part one in a series. Part two is a WIP, but also very much worth the read!

My summary: In which Wei Wuxian is whipped within an inch of his life by Madam Yu when he is fourteen and comes to stay at the cloud recesses. He and Lan Zhan become friends.

My comment: My summary once again does not do this fic justice. Because it is so much more than just that. It’s such a beautful exploration of friendship and love and bodily autonomy. Wei Wuxian has a lot to work through in this fic, but really, so has Lan Zhan who has the opportunity to make friends at a much more mellow pace than in the novel/show and panics a little less because of it. The war still happens but has much less dire consequences. All in all, this fic left me with a wonderful warm feeling in my chest.

(In which Lan Zhan, to his own dismay, finds himself with the help of the most obnoxious, cheerful, cheesy self-care instagram account known to men.)

My comment: Listen, I have a complicated relationship with fics that depict mental health struggles in characters. They are all so incredibly valid and I’m glad they exist (every single one of them, no matter if i like them or not) but due to the fact that they tend to come from the author projecting their own issues onto characters (which is NOT a bad thing! that is what fanfic is for!) they are often hit-and-miss when it comes to characterisation. But this story ... it just GETS Lan Wangji. If someone told me a scenario in a modern AU that leads to him developing an anxiety disorder and depression, this is what I would have come up with. Because let’s be real, Lan Wangji is a perfectionist to boot, insanely competitive and needs to live up to his family’s expectations, while also not having much of an emotional support system outside of his brother and uncle. That’s a dangerous cocktail in the modern world and just screams of a burnout waiting to happen. So Lan Wangji, off to university, living alone in a strange city for the frst time, spends all his time in a carefully calculated study routine but slowly realises that the path he set out on was not one he chose because he liked it but simply the one that was laid out for him by his background and family, which then leads to him questioning the reason behind what he does. That reads as incredibly real to me. A good AU, in my opinion, takes the characters and their inherent characteristics and lets them meet new and unique challenges that they never would have encountered in canon, which then leads to new and interesting character developement. And this AU manages that perfectly! (Plus, if you are a university student like me who sometimes suffers from crushing anxiety about the path they chose in life, this is insanely relatable. What? I never said I wasn’t biased :P)

My comment: this one was hilarious! Just Lan Xichen being both absolutely exasperated and amused by wangxian’s pre-teen drama. I almost choked laughing at the line that coined the title. The author has these characters down to a T and they used their powers to attack my laugh-musccles :D

The sheer genius of giving Wei Wuxian the ability to pull entire beings into non-being! The absolute galaxy-brain idea to link the canon mythology to modern astrophysics!!! Wei Wuxian creates a motherfucking black hole in this one!!! And it’s SO well written, too! The author does not shy away from Wei Wuxian’s sharp edges and his darker side but goddamn if he is not still loveable anyway. Just GO READ THIS FIC!

Trick or Treat 2020 letter

Hi there! Thanks for checking out my letter! First, I want to note that while I hope my likes & prompts are helpful in sparking ideas, optional ideas are optional, and I'd rather you go with a premise that you feel really good about and are jazzed to create rather than something that checks a lot of boxes but you don't feel strongly about.

General likes: adventures, complicated relationships, loyalty/BFFs being rock solid in the face of adversity, canon divergence/"for want of a nail" AUs, time travel, exploring the setting beyond what's shown in canon, outsider point of view, established relationships, found family/unusual family arrangements, in-world texts, amnesia, exploring identity issues, supernatural elements, characters wrangling with past mistakes without demonizing anyone, close friends forced to fight, missing scenes, post-canon events, characters being very competent DNWs: AUs other than canon divergence, omegaverse, cheating/infidelity, non-canon gender identities, major character death, hopeless endings (anst is fine though), excessively saccharine fluff (but general good feelings/happy stuff is fine) If you're interested in writing smut, please no scat, watersports or dubcon/noncon (though bad idea sex that characters might kick themselves for later is absolutely fine). More detailed stuffed regarding my requests: KINGDOM HEARTS I only requested Roxas as a character because I'd really like something where he is either the main character or has a strong role, but feel free to include whatever other characters you like! I adore the sea salt trio to the moon on back, but I also enjoy seeing him interact with characters he had no or few interactions with in canon. His relationship with Sora and how complicated it can be is also endlessly fascinating to me. I also enjoy bouncing him off Riku, Ven, the BBS trio and his former Organization comrades, especially those who only knew him as a dazed clueless kid and not an angry ball of pointy fury. A few canon-specific requests/notes: -If you write something post-KH3, feel free to fast forward slightly and assume Sora's been brought back somehow, you don't even have to explain how. -Please no post-KH3 resurrected/redeemed Vanitas; I felt satisfied with the resolution of his story in KH3. That said, if you wanted to include him in some other way, that's cool! -Also please no dad!Isa. I think their relationship becoming something more positive is interesting and complicated, but I just can't buy that he'd ever have that kind of emotional authority over Roxas. (Using him as a Fake Parent for plot purposes makes me chuckle though.) As far as ship stuff goes, please no Axel/Roxas (nothing against it, it's just not how I see their relationship) or Namine/Roxas (KH2 leaned too hard into the Sora/Kairi parallelism for me to enjoy it romantically.) Platonic friendships with both of them are A+++ though. tbh I'm not super shippy about him with anyone, but if you have an idea that includes a ship, I'm pretty okay with all other characters, male or female. Spooky Scary ideas: -Delving into the nature of Nobodyhood and being half a person and just being different from standard humans has a lot of potential here. And of course Roxas has identity issues ahoy. He might be in a much better place post-KH3 but that doesn't mean everything is 100% great now. -Visiting creepy places. Maybe a missing portion from Days, or something post-KH3 now that he can travel as much as he wants? -Canon divergence AUs/time travel/supernatural stuff where Stuff Goes Wrong is always interesting. Sweet Treat ideas: -Post-KH3 ADVENTURE TIME. Suddenly Roxas has a lot of free time! He and some friends deserve to go exploring. -Roxas meeting and getting to know the Twilight Town kids for real. What was that like? -General trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life now that it's his own. Getting to know the other wielders outside of a crisis situation. -Terra and Aqua dealing with Ven's sudden non-evil twin also has a lot of potential. ASSASSIN'S CREED Similar to Kingdom Hearts, I only listed Altair because I like him so much, but feel free to include most other characters! He became one of my favorite Assassins because I'm really fond of the Huge Jerkass Learns To Not Be a Jerkass and Becomes Kinda Cool Actually trope, as well as his boundless intellectual curiosity and extreme competence (while still being very flawed.) Sweet Treat ideas: -What about some slice of life, even if that life is mainly in an Assassin stronghold? The mundane side of being a mysterious stabby brotherhood is alway fun to explore, along with Altair having to actually run Masyaf once he takes power. Would especially love to see Malik by his side for the latter, because I'm sure there's a lot to mine there. -Maybe a look at younger Altair hitting some milestones as he grew up, before he became an arrogant dick. -I'm pretty fond of dad!Altair because I doubt it would come naturally to him but he'd care so much. Spooky Scary Ideas: -The Pieces of Eden are always really creepy when they activate in-game, so inventing new ancient artifacts that facilitate creepy shit happening would be a lot of fun. -An Assassination gone wrong in some way? I do enjoy angst and whump. Also, not sure which this would fall under (maybe both), but finagling time travel (either real or simulated somehow) so Altair can meet other AC characters is something I enjoy a lot. Caveat - I have not played Oddysey, so please nothing after Origins if you want to give this a try. Character-wise, I love how his relationship with Malik evolved from bitterness to ride or die. Altair and Malik as either best friends or a couple are both excellent, but if you write them as a couple during a time period when Maria Thorpe would be around, I'd prefer you just pretend she doesn't exist rather than finagle a breakup or infidelity. (I also like them as a throuple but please don't feel pressured on this - I'm mainly looking to avoid a 'Altair never really cared about her' scenario.) OVERWATCH NGL, I ship Mercy/Moira like burning, but very much as a complicated thing where their differing ethics present an insurmountable barrier between them yet they're incredibly drawn to one another both personally and intellectually, and a lot of angst ensues (well, for Mercy; I'm not sure Moira actually cares about the ethics division.) They're especially interesting to me when Moira's edges aren't smoothed down - I LIKE that she could take some really dubious actions and still be someone Mercy can't quite get over. That said! If you don't feel them as a ship, pretty much everything I just said also applies to them as professional peers/onetime friends/science rivals, just without the sexual tension. Sweet Treat Ideas: -Pre-Overwatch shutdown/Talon era where they're actually working on a project together or sparking cool new scientific ideas or just smoochin' if you go for a ship. -Likewise earlier in canon - Mercy and Moira both want to woo the other one but have VERY different ideas about how to go about it. (Babe, I did some mad science for you, isn't it romantic?) -Surely Overwatch had at least one obligatory office Halloween event -Epistolary fic feels like it could be really fun. Spooky Scary ideas: -I mean, Moira is the evil/amoral scientist trope, I feel like you could get a ton of creepy stuff just from there. -Bad idea ex sex -General clashing of ideals + angst Also I'm explicitly counting Dr. Junkenstein-verse AU fic as being the exception to my request for only canon divergence AUs. That would be a ton of fun, for either a trick or a treat.

HOW I RUN MY BLOG.

SPEED: At the moment, slow.  It depends very much on the thread, of course, but please don’t expect super fast replies from me right now;  despite having time on my hands,  my writing muse & motivation haven’t been super high and I’d rather write when I feel like it rather than forcing myself and worrying about drafts too much.  Nevertheless, if I find myself taking longer than a month, I do take my time informing my writing partner on whether I’ll drop it or not & of course, apologies to anyone who’s been waiting. I never mind a nudge!

REPLIES: I prefer long and short threads,  though I have a preference for anything plotted and longer as I lose muse for short, unplotted threads a lot faster.  Sometimes I will prioritize some threads over others, depends on how well I know my writing partner and how plotted out the thread in and of itself is -- though as I mentioned with speed, the longer the threads become, the longer it’ll probably take me to reply.  I do tend to ramble when I’m inspired, but I don’t really expect anyone to match length. 

STARTERS: I do the occasional starter call & end up regretting it more often than not because I don’t actually like writing starters all that much ...  I’ll always like it more when the other party writes the starter, though I will write them if needed. 

INBOX: My muse for meme replies is even lower than my muse for thread replies, so while I super appreciate getting random asks and memes sent in, I do always ask for patience; I try to reply to everything I have in my inbox and have a hard time deleting anything,  but any askbox replies can take up to months sometimes.  I usually write meme replies when I have no inspiration for anything else. 

SELECTIVITY: I’m very selective in who I follow back as I like to have a clean and slow dash,  but I don’t mind interacting with non-mutuals.  

WISHLIST: I don’t really have a set wishlist other than wanting canon interactions ( especially when it comes to fellow organisation members to help flesh out Axel as well as Lea ) a little more than I’m getting right now, but with the fandom being kinda dead I’ll take what I can get. I’m super into AU and cross-overs in any case, so my wishlist is basically just to plot with whoever feels like writing with me. Never be afraid to hit me up in IMs or through asks -- I give my discord to mutuals without hesitation too. 

HONEST NOTE: Tumblr hasn’t really been my priority for a while and though I still super love writing and I really love writing Axelea ( he’s still my favorite muse to date ),  I’m not as active as I used to be anymore;  this obviously reflects in the speed of my replies and the speed of me getting back to people or even reaching out to new people in case interest is shown.  For now my focus has mainly been on keeping the connections I’ve managed to build over the last three years properly fleshed out whenever possible rather than trying to plot anything new ( exceptions notwithstanding ) and though it does make me a little sad that I seem to sort of have lost the passion for writing and being on tumblr, I’ve been trying to focus more on being here when I want to be rather than because I think I have to be -- and I urge everyone else to do the same.  This is a hobby and not a chore and shouldn’t be a source of stress.  That said, I would like to reiterate that you’re always free to approach me for plotting and simply chatting about our muses as that’s something I always super love doing.

Uhhh this is a passage from bing2-haro, which is the second half of Strangeness and Charm, my Victor is a ghost but not really and only Yuuri can save him canon divergent fic.

“Well, my axel has always been my weakest jump,” Victor attempted to lighten the mood. Yuuri just glared.

“You have an seventy-five percent success rate on your triple axel in competition. Even if that is your lowest percentage of success on a difficult jump, it’s still extremely high.”

Victor blinked, but then smiled. “Yuuri! You really are my biggest fan.”

Yuuri huffed. “This isn’t the time for that. Aren’t you upset by---”

“Yuuri,” Victor interrupted him. He gripped the other man’s shoulders and narrowed his blue eyes, intense. Yuuri stiffened. “My job right now is to get you to successfully skate this program. It doesn’t matter if I’m upset. Right now, it only matters if you are.”

“So you are upset?” Yuuri’s looked downcast.

HEIGHT.      2 inches taller than Isa and the same height as Luxord, that’s about as specific as I get with it cuz I like to stick to established canon for his height regardless. AGE.    15 (BBS) / 25 (Days) / 27 (KH3). SPOKEN LANGUAGES.   Japanese, technically, but KH sort of acts like there’s a common tongue.

PLACE OF BIRTH.        Radiant Garden HOMETOWN.        Radiant Garden BIRTH WEIGHT.        Pass BIRTH HEIGHT.         Pass MANNER OF BIRTH.      Unremarkable FIRST WORDS.         "Happy!” SIBLINGS.        None (though in some very au verses he’s got twin younger siblings and an older brother) PARENTS.    Unnamed father, unnamed mother (one day I’ll find their stupid monikers again) PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT.   Lea’s father was distant and weak-willed, and cared about Lea but spent all his energy attending to his wife.  Lea’s fondest memory of his father is throwing a frisbee around in the yard, but this pastime didn’t last, and as his father gradually shut him out, Lea pushed harder and acted out more.  Meanwhile his mother was manipulative, putting on a front of caring while quietly sucking the life out of everyone around her.  Lea didn’t catch on to her tricks until it was too late, and by then she’d at least taught him some things he could later put into practice as Axel.  Both of them made his house far less of a home and he didn’t fit into any of their molds for him, so he constantly ran away to Isa.  When he remembers his childhood, he remembers Isa’s room and their adventures together much more clearly than anything to do with his parents, who he does not miss and has not sought out after the fact.

OCCUPATION.      Keybearer, primarily.  That’s where all the munny’s at.  But also part-time at an ice cream shop in Twilight Town. CURRENT RESIDENCE.       Twilight Town almost exclusively, but he occasionally stays in Radiant Garden. CLOSE FRIENDS.      Isa, Xion, Roxas, Subject X [Skuld, I mean, c’mon], and less close but still important are Sora, Riku, and Kairi (not necessarily in that order) RELATIONSHIP STATUS.      Eternal dumpster fire buddies with Isa. FINANCIAL STATUS.    His parents weren’t well off but weren’t especially hurting either, they just didn’t give him a lot of pocket money and he certainly wasn’t the best equipped student unless Isa lent him things.  So really he’s financially better off post-Organization. DRIVER’S LICENSE.   None and don’t let him drive CRIMINAL RECORD.    Let’s...uh, let’s see here.  First and also second degree murder, conspiracy to murder, at least one charge of kidnapping, just...several assault and battery charges, um, accessory to more murders, probably?  And of course multiple charges of too hot to live, that he’s super guilty of.

003 Magnus

003 | Give me a character & I will tell you:

How I feel about this character: Magnus is the love of my life, seriously. He is my most favourite character out of any piece of media ever, I am obsessed with him, I want to know everything about him, I want him to be happy and to have all the good things in the world, he just makes me so so so so so happy. It was him the main cause of my shift from my old fandom to this one, because I wanted to roleplay him because I loved him so much and I am still just as fascinated by him after 4 years of rp blog and I’ll probably love him forever.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: It’s easier to ask who I don’t ship him with tbh. I ship him with Will, Woolsey, Camille, Imasu, Axel, Etta, Kitty and all his other lovers from TBC, I ship him with Ragnor and lowkey with Catarina too, ship him with Jace and ship him with Alec, obviously.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Magnus and Henry, Magnus and Henry, Magnus and Henry. I live for my 19th century science bros ok, they were so precious. The warlock squad +Raphael are a very very very close second, though, because they all mean so much to each other and stand by each other for centuries, they make me so emotional.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I feel like, as much as everyone loves talking about this, this fandom hasn’t quite grasped the idea of characters not fitting gender roles yet. People have a tendency of making Magnus either hyper feminine because he likes fashion and make up and stuff or hyper masculine because they put Alec in the feminine role (because they think he is so innocent and pure and so he is the ‘girl’) and so Magnus needs to be the masculine dominant one to balance and both of these takes on his character (both of their characters, really) are so so wrong and I wish people would stop trying to fit Magnus into their own preconceived, judgemental boxes (and all other characters too but that’s another talk entirely). 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I love everything about his canon, and he is in such an amazing place right now, I wouldn’t change a thing, I just wish to know more about him (Though tbh if he had kissed Will at least one more time I wouldn’t have complained).

Favorite friendship for this character: Ok if I had to choose one of the warlock squad, it would be Catarina, because in canon Magnus has such a soft spot for her, I feel like they must have a very beautiful history and I think they compliment each other very well in terms of personality.

My crossover ship: Magnus x S.ebastian Smythe from G.lee. Yeah, I know, it sounds crazy, but it started from an AU rp with a friend where Seb is Magnus’ familiar and now this AU is 3 years old and going strong and it has taken over my life. Magnus and Seb are soulmates separated by fictional universes and no one will ever convince me otherwise.

Fic update

I’m currently procrastinating. Instead of writing for TTP I’m writing a quick valentines day drabble featuring demon Axel and his Roxas from The Anomaly. This is a non-canon AU for this story, where Axel freely comes and goes between worlds and sees Roxas a lot of the time. It is making me so happy to write these characters again especially being so silly together. I have missed you demon Axel. I have missed your cheeky little tail, Pretzel. Gods, this world... I love it so XD I look forward to sharing it with you guys for Valentine's Day. I am still planning on finishing The Anomaly. Hopefully this year, and if not, then definitely next year.
