Well, if we are talking about who was the better person, I guess there are numerous well known instances in the texts which intellectually no one can argue against.
So if it is only about who was the better warrior... again despite there are several points of comparison which clearly demarcates the superior one, I did write an obscenely long analysis on the Matsya War (Virata Parvam Khanda) which you can check if you want (Warning : Its a pretty wordy meta)
Here's the link, if you are interested.
I know this is an old debate but I would seriously like to hear from people (with reasoning) on the Arjun vs Karna situation

Krishna, in Vishwaroop, asks his Beloved Parth, "Am I not scary?"
And Arjuna replies, "Scary? My God, you're Divine!"

He is the Eternal Purusha. Otherwise called Krishna, he is endued with the splendour of gold, and shines with effulgence like a second sun. Possessed of ten arms, he is endued with great energy, and is the slayer of the foes of the gods.
Thanks, Mahabharata. Thanks.
This is from Anusasana Parva, Chapter CXLVII, KMG version.
I am intent on making all of us keel over for my Neela Megha Shyam-

People. People. Gopis.
What do you think about different characterisations of Kanha in stories that may/ may not be canon? Like, I've been wondering about which way I want to predominantly describe him in and I'm stuck, to be fair. I don't want anything to seem unnatural or annoying so I deffo need opinions and well, canon facts.
Is he the loving, smitten man around his wives? Is he the mischievous friend? The prince who knows he has the hearts of his subjects? The diplomat who knows he has defeated someone in the way of words and is pretty pleased about it internally? The lord tearing up at the sorrows of his devotees? Or the grown child bending to hug Devaki Maa whenever he finds the chance? Btw this is how I usually see him. He's jestingly smug, but he's also very playful, and cheerful, and giggly and funny, he's completely and utterly in love with everyone around him. Well except for a few maybe. We know what sort of people.
Or do you agree with the more serene Kanhaai? The one with yogic distance from the world. He is calm with not a crease on his forehead but distant eyes that ruminate. He's looming and maybe unnerving. He brushes away the tears of the ones he holds dear but with just a frown and not more shows of expression. Maybe he's reticent. Very much so. Maybe he teases but with just a little imperceptible smirk. Does he laugh out loud to Subhadra's fine humor? Maybe, but maybe not. Maybe he doesn't giggle a lot. Maybe he keeps to himself in moments of turmoil. Maybe he does not show very much of how he truly feels. He's tranquil. Like maybe Shantakaram Vishnu. The one who floats in the cosmic ocean. The Garbhodakshayi Vishnu.
Keep in mind that I'm talking about Dvarakadheesha Krishna. Vrindavanesha is playful and walks with the gaits of an intoxicated elephant, we know. But what of the grown Krishna Vaasudeva? The household? The ascetic? What is he like? Or is it all of them on different different days? What is that which he isn't?
I know we all have our own perceptions and views but hey, mostly canon readers, I want to know how you see him. I want to know that yes he's the mentor and guide in the Mahabharata, but is he a bit more languid and free in the Harivamsha? Do we see more nuances or differences? What about the Shrimad Bhagavatam? I want to know more. I want to know. I want to grasp more of him. Let me hold a bit more of him.
