On todays episode of "Doctor Spencer Reid is Autistic" we have:

Spencer showing empathy by telling Kate his own personal experience with loss !! Autistic people often show empathy by relating to other people's ails because a lot of the time people with ASD can't show empathy like a quote on quote normal person would.

Y'know I see the second part of this scene posted alot- I mean it's high-key iconic and so funny lmao but the context makes it an surprisingly sweet scene actually. The team is checking an planecrash up so that obviously triggers Kate, and because Spencer sees her she is pretty much put on a spot where she has to share WHY this affects her so much (remember what this job is.) and because of that, she doesn't wants Spencer or anyone else to act as she is made of glass because of it.

So Spencer's line isn't "I had it harder than you I dunno sis 🤷🏽‍♀️" it's his way of making her know nothing would change between her and the rest of the team, just like it didn't change with him. She was put on a position where she had to sharee what she DIDN'T want to mere days (weeks?) after meeting these people, so he decided to share as well so she wouldn't feel alone and uncomfortable.

Also notice how he didn't mention that his dad left him, that is because they are talking about losing people they love-

So I made a loose AU on the little cult game.

Though, I must give ample warning. There is the canon-typical blood and violence that is associated. Though, if you're into this game, I can assume you're used to that sort of violence by now.

Allow me to present what we call 'Trapped Crown'. So, manage through the idea me and my friend made over lunch like a week ago and continue to flesh out.

So the Crown is simply named 'Red'. Sentient, and surprisingly not as connected to The One Who Waits as one might expect. I don't remember if it was explicitly said, but it is implied there were other bearers of the Red Crown (Ex. Ratau).

So the idea was "What if a previous wearer of the Red Crown got trapped in it and is forced to help the current lamb?" And here we are. This AU is actually inspired by the many discord calls of my friend and I playing the game. She helped me plan some of the more intricate bits of it and Basile's (the player lamb) personality based off her reactions while playing the game for the first time around me, someone who is on day 273 on a maxed out cult.

This AU is Basile the Sacraficial Beast experiencing cult leader life for the first time whilst an ancient soul within the Red Crown is forcibly there to keep her company.

Basile is what we lovingly call a "golden retriever" given how we both came to the conclusion that she is optimism incarnate. A big heart and always caring for her people. She considers them close family, and is too scared to let them down. However, She is too scared to face the bishops, having to have been convinced by Red to even confront Leshy at the end of Darkwood and further convinced to crusade into Anura.

'Red' is an ancient wearer of the Crown. Having lived at least 850+ years ago. They were the first to be given the crown to raise a cult and free to One Who Waits. Now, they are forever trapped inside by the One Who Waits for failing that task. Red is a more pessimistic, "soggy black cat" (my friend, 2024), that is also a sarcastic but loyal companion to the new cult leader.

I do want to make more content for the little AU because my friend and I actually love writing and drawing for it. Though, the only thing stopping us really is our ability to keep up with our own plans. So, this may be it, or more may come out. Who will know?

Well, if Elena was attempting to get under Katherine's skin she was heading in the right direction. The problem, with doing that, is that this doppelganger lashes out rather aggressively when you hit the right buttons. You can only pull the tail so hard before you get bitten.

Elena, alone? With no Stefan, Damon, Caroline, or even her sacraficial lamb of a little brother?

"Awful mouthy for a little human standing alone in her kitchen with someone shes deemed a ruthless killer." Katherine smirked.

"I see you're on the I compelled his love train. How absolutely unsurprising that you would get herded into that popular misconception being the social sheep that you are." The vampire chuckled.

Sitting up straighter, she continued.

"Lets entertain that for a moment, shall we? Let's compare who you think I am, with what you think I did. Funny thing about compulsion, is that it doesn't wear off. If I compel someone to do something, they will do what I compelled them to do until the task is completed. End of story. For instance if I compelled your judgemental ass to take a knife and start cutting off your fingers one by one- you'd have no choice but to keep doing it till the job was finished no matter what you had to do to accomplish it." She raised a brow with a smirk.

"Don't worry I'm very aware of your necklace, and I had no intentions of following through with that anyway, cupcake. Back to my original thought here, If I really wanted to compel Stefan's love I would have made it undying. I would have told him that he would love me and only me till the end of time, that he would never look at another woman and ever be able to feel for them what he feels for me.

You know, because thats the kind of ruthless heartless bitch I am right? So- Keeping that train of thought little lamb, do you really want to stay on the I compelled his love train? Because that would imply heavily, that his love for you is not real, first of all... and second of all that it's me he sees when he looks at you. If he'd broken that facade, then his love would have worn off, and he would be back to loving only me. Doesn't that sound so much more appealing than believing that he loved me of his own free will?" Her voice almost a purr as she leaned over the counter with an overly sweet smile, almost challenging her to keep the mindset.

"I never compelled his love. It was real as real as his love for you, Elena, and so was mine." And she was getting really really tired of having to defend that over and over again. Interesting how she validated his love for Elena though.

"Now, do you want the special Stefan sauce or not?"

ㅤㅤkatherine must be exceptionally bored, if she has the time to just annoy her. and for someone who's been on the run for five hundred years, that seems awfully odd. surely she has something better to be doing? klaus may be galivanting off who knows where with stefan, but it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for him to pop back into town at any time. something that admittedly also puts elena a tad on edge, but should be bothering the flighty katherine tenfold. one thorn is removed from her side, only for another to promptly take its place - kind of the story of her life as of late. despite the anomaly currently filling her kitchen with her typical smug energy, the routine of making food is comforting. keeping her hands busy keeps her mind off of more upsetting subjects, the menial task providing a sense of normalcy. perhaps she'll clean or do laundry or something of the like next. holding back another sigh, she does her best to keep her voice even; letting katherine get to her won't help, after all. ❛ well it's just me and i'm no cook, so boiling the pasta and using canned sauce is as good as it needs to be, ❜ she responds, focusing on the task at hand. irritation spikes again at the reminder, something she views as a subtle dig. she refuses to look up, not giving katherine a moment of true attention. ❛ hm. did you compel him to cook for you, too? you sure were busy. ❜
