“ what if it’s really, really, really spicy ?? ” teucer stagewhispers- then frowns, pouting at his older brother with his best sad puppy expression. he doesn’t like vegetables- much less peppers- and ajax knew that ! but . . . miss nice lady and ajax’s friends seemed eager for teucer to try their creation . . . and they were all so nice to him, even if they didn’t like ajax for some unknown reason . . .

teucer looks at the small crowd taking up kitchen space- and his face goes from the chef lady, to miss nice lady and her other friends ( teucer made a note to ask miss nice lady what an ‘ idol ’ was . . . ), to his brother, to the weird panda thing, to the weird bottle of something called ‘ chilibrew ’.

it only takes a little bit more prodding from his older brother- and teucer grips the bottle, and takes a little sip, grimacing in fearful anticipation-                                                                                            oh. it’s . . . not that spicy ! it’s sweet. he takes another gulp- and then makes a face of childish pondering. “ it’s not yucky ! ”  he announces, to the crowd’s visible relief. “ can i take some snacks with me and go play with my friends now ? ”
