Eleanor "Elle" Devereux is known, above all things, for her warmth. Friendly and welcoming, she strives to make people feel comfortable with gentle smiles and nurturing words. It doesn't matter if she has this chasm no one can fill inside of her. It doesn't matter if she constantly feels trapped by the darkness within her. Like the name branded to her, Elle seeks to become a sanctuary—a warm flame to help anyone feel at home.

Though her accomplishments many, perfect in every way, Elle remains humble to a fault. She sees herself as just another girl chasing her dream, even if said dream was to please her father, to meet his and everyone's expectation. Finding ballet, though, is a revelation to her, passion ignited through its disciplined beauty. She loves reading stories; it doesn't occur to her that she will also love telling stories with her body.

Despite her cautious nature, Elle cannot help but be drawn to dangerous dreams. But betrayed by her ex-boyfriend and hated by her one-sided crush can make you weary of what-ifs and rose-tinted lines. Perhaps that's the reason why she accepted Dumitru's invite, leaving her usual world of formalities behind. Would this end up with her getting heart broken again? That's up to fate to decide.
