While it is very, VERY funny to watch James Sunderland straight up barely care about Maria for most of the game, especially when shes bitching him out for not caring and he's just standing there like "yeah and?" I always think about how James might have seen and treated Mary while she was sick

In James' deluded mind, Mary died three years ago but Mary didn't really die, she just got sick. But in James' mind, the woman he loved was gone and replaced by someone who looked like her but didn't act like his beloved wife at all

He was always looking for Mary, the one who wasn't slowly dying from an unknown disease, the woman in the picture, who had been gone for a long, long time

Ok I’m like a little under halfway into Wicked now and like. Turtle Heart was their third right? This doesn’t read as “husband, wife, and wife’s affair partner” this just looks like a poly couple. Frex named his son after this guy, he must of liked him a lot. This isn’t even a joke this is a genuine question.

Maybe if you have to portray all the other couples in an absolutely horrible light in order to prop up Richard and Anne, then 1) there wasn't any grand romance to begin with and 2) you're not a good writer 🤷‍♀️

#yes this is still about THAT book because I'll forever be pissed about it #the way edward/elizabeth and george/isabel were portrayed? just horrid #george being physically abusing towards isabel and edward saying that elizabeth would have slept with a leper to be king 🤢#and this is the book THAT group of people swoon over and call it historically accurate #but then again they don't really gaf who gets ruined in the process and which historical figures get absolutely destroyed #as long as their favs are portrayed as innocent angels on earth #mind you edward and elizabeth were the cause célèbre in terms of romance and george was truly shattered by isabel's death #he deeply mourned his wife - which can't truly be said about a certain someone *coughs*#anyways...#it would not be so frustrating if sharon's fans would stop hailing the book as some historically accurate masterpiece that is truthful #it's below mediocre with cartoon types characters #my silly little posts
