fucking. i know the whole time we've been making jokes about the various reasons thancred's not been showing up in MSQ for over a fucking year but to finally get that the canon reason is because he's felt like he has to isolate and serve eorzea still as a vigil to minfilia because she sacrificed her life for life as a whole..................................
