Hazbin Hotel—Lucifer x Reader where he’s a love struck fool for reader? May or may not be inspired by that little imagine you posted not too long ago \(//∇//)\
uhhh this kinda got away from me. enjoy!!
You’d have to be a fool not to notice how the King of Hell acts around you, even Angel and Husk told you that. But you’re not blinded to situation, you know exactly what’s going on. You rest your elbow on the bar next to Angel as Charlie gathers the hotel residents and staff, a job not unlike herding cats. Everyone trickles in slowly, waiting for the next odd trust bond activity Charlie has come up with now. Last week was heartfelt letter writing, and the three of you at the bar had not taken it seriously. You handed Husk a comedic inner monologue about how much you needed to pee, Husk handed Angel a surprisingly detailed made up story about a talking whisky bottle, and Angel handed you a list of what roles he’d cast the entire hotel in a porno.
“What do you think they’ll have us do this time?” Husk mumbles to you, topping off your drink.
“Honestly, not a fan of the way Princess is smiling right now,” you answer.
Charlie waves everyone over, and Vaggie smiles uncomfortably, ready for everyone to start.
“Okay Good Afternoon,” Charlie starts, practically bouncing, “Today we’re going to try to form new bonds!”
Immediately, she’s met with groaning and mumbling, but thats never stopped her and it won’t today either.
“So what better way to do that then having a buddy for the next twenty four hours!” She shouts, and Vaggie’s face immediately makes sense.
“I’ve separated everyone from their regular group so they can build these bonds and be open!”
“…got something you could open…” you hear Angel mumble under his breath.
Charlie gives her dad a thumbs up.
“The first pairing is… my dad and Y/n!”
The Morningstar family sucks at being subtle or lying.
“So what did you have planned for the day?” Lucifer asks while sitting beside you, his voice short and clipped, his entire demeanor like he’s on high alert. It’s cute, really.
“Ah don’t worry about it,” you shrug, “What does the areat King of Hell do with his day?”
Lucifer rubs his neck, fidgeting under your question.
“It’s not… Its not actually all that interesting,” he admits, “You’ve probably got something cooler going on.”
There’s something he’s avoiding besides your gaze, but you don’t press the issue.
You look across the lobby to Angel, who pauses his conversation with Vaggie to mouth something that looked like the word “fart” to you, and then wink.
Your art gallery. Right.
“Have you ever been to Pentagram City’s biggest art gallery?” you ask him.
Lucifer is a gentleman. You understand how he stole the first man’s first two wives from him. Sure, he’s stumbling and stuttering and a nervous wreck, but he’s holding doors open for you and asking about your thoughts and feelings about the pieces on display, he’s accidentally on purpose almost held your hand three times now. Next time he does it, you’re just going to grab his damn hand.
You stare at the sculpture in front of you, noting that you should have someone move this to a different room. In fact, there’s a few things you’ve noticed while showing Lucifer the art that you should have moved around. Maybe you’ve been neglecting the gallery a bit more than you thought now that you live at the hotel.
“Hey, Can I ask you about these?” Lucifer’s voice booms from the next room over. Sighing, you type a quick note into your V-Phone and turn.
Oh shit.
Lucifer found THAT room.
You cross the threshold into the room you never go into, the room with your own work. Honestly, it’s not even curated the way the other rooms and floors are. This is where you put anything that you think can leave your studio. He’s in front of one of your biggest paintings, and one of your newest. It’s an abstract piece about your feelings about redemption, about your past sins, about adjusting to the hotel. Which it sounds stupid when you put it like that, but it made sense in the moment and you’re proud of it.
He turns and smiles before looking back at the painting.
“Is the uh, is the artist willing to sell this piece?” he asks, his cheeks and the tips of his ears turning red.
Now it’s your turn to get nervous. You’ve never actually sold any of your own pieces before.
“I uh- I’m not gonna sell it to you,” you tell him, “You can have it.”
It would be weird to take money from Lucifer, even if he is offering. You like him a decent amount and a transaction between the two of you would make it weird. It would feel like you owe him, even though your art would technically satisfy that. If he was one of the Vees or someone you dislike, you would have immediately taken money.
“But the artist-“
“Me,” you clarify, and you finally remember you don’t tag your own art. Lucifer’s jaw drops at your admission.
“I’d really like to support your work, it’s magnificent,” Lucifer insists, and you feel your cheeks burning. He turns to gesture to another piece, and his knuckles brush your own.
Fuck it. You told yourself you’d do it. You grab Lucifer’s hand in your own, a bold move.
“Just think about it as a gift,” you tell him, “A thank you for the lovely day we’ve had.”
You inwardly cringe, knowing that when you recount today at the lobby bar your drinking buddies are going to tear you a new one for that corny line. But it fits for Lucifer; he’s bringing out a side of you that you really haven’t seen in a while.
“Thank you uh, gorgeous,” he tacks on the pet name like even he isn’t sure about it, and with his hand still in yours, attempts to lean against a sculpture, stumbling as he misses it and bringing you along with him. He tugs you by the arm, jerking you closer to him. He’s majorly out of practice.
“I have a studio upstairs if you want to see more?” you offer, not really sure if you thought that through.
“More art? Absolutely!” He recovers quickly, enthusiasm dripping from his voice.
You smile as you pull him towards the hallway, butterflies in your stomach as it dawns on you that he’s going to be the only person besides you to see the studio.
You and Lucifer end up staying there until Charlie calls him the next morning.
You notice paint on his chin after you get back to the hotel.

Color Theory in Cinderella Boy
There’s some silly stuff happening with colors, and in this probably brainrot post, I will be using my art brain to over analyze the heck outta this (for those who are interested, though I find it fascinating!)
**This post includes a scene from todays new ep (53), so make sure you read that first!**
So, I first stumbled upon this discovery sorta by accident. I use Clip Studio Paint for my artwork, and I often end up with an average to 30-50 layers per drawing, and thankfully Clip Studio has an option to color-code your layers to make things more manageable.
For my CB drawings, I defaulted to using green for Chase, purple for Buddy, and blue for Deacon. It made sense to me, because of the casts ‘default’ outfits feature these colors:
We can also see these colors in some book outfits:
Chase’s green outfit in We Need to Talk About Buddy, Deacons shirt in Beach Boys, and the blue accents in All That Glitters
What I noticed though, was that these aren’t the only colors they are seen in, and in fact, out of all the other colors, two in particular stand out
Specifically, pink for Chase, and orange for Deacon
Something to note is that these colors are nearly perfect complementary colors to each other. Even Prunella seems to have this theme, with her red hair and green shirt.
Now, it is generally good for character design for outfits to have good complementary colors to make them stand out, but me thinks that Punko went even further with this.
The thing is, Buddy really only has purple in his color scheme (unless out count every shade of gray and black).
We see him in some other colors, but mainly it’s purple:
Like, a lot of purple.
(Other examples include Toffee Break, Beach boys, Sick Day, etc)
Pretty much all but two of Buddy’s ten outfits have included some element of purple.
But then again, up until recently, he’s only been a villain. A foil to Chase. The black and purple suited him, for a while, because he was only ‘evil’. (This also leads me to believe that future Ex Libris members will also wear black in their outfits to fit on theme. In Dreams by Day, a presumably Ex Libris worker is wearing a black shirt).
But now? It’s Buddy’s story too. He is becoming a protagonist. And that means getting a new color, possibly one that compliments purple.
And what color flowers bloomed when Chase saved him?
Yellow.
This is leading me to believe that Buddy will have a major character shift at the end of season 1 / beginning of season 2, where yellow is included in his outfit colors. And maybe, S2 will feature Buddy’s story more as he becomes a protagonist ‘,:3
TL;DR: Colors are important to CB characters, and Buddy is gonna be a protagonist soon.
I’ve actually been forming this theory of mine since like, the beginning of October, and the amount of serotonin that filled my brain when I saw those flowers, and seeing that my theories may be true could literally flood a city.
Thank u for reading :D

hi I am testing out whether or not I'm shadowbanned. however I don't want to spam the main tags w irrelevant posts so I am offering this snippet from art of the bedchamber part 2 \o/
tw soggy sfw danheng (pre-1.2)
Dan Heng remembers when he assumed his human form for the first time.
It is a difficult scene to forget: the wreckage of an IPC ship, engulfed in the red glow of emergency lights. A robotic voice signalling the steady loss of air: Attention, attention, the system had blared in a pleasant, sunny tone. Attention to all passengers. The Altair has experienced irreparable damage to its seal. There are 120 minutes until complete oxygen depletion. Please make your way to the lifepods. The Vega is on standby to receive all survivors. Attention, attention.
The PA system said nothing of the vengeful ghost who’d wrought all that destruction—both upon the ship and its passengers. Probably everyone who could have made such an announcement was dead.
Yinyue Jun, the wraith had called him, mara-poisoned eyes shining as his gaze fell upon his features. The same features that Dan Heng was now studying in the broken mirror, fragmented by cracks running through the glass. Dan Feng. Sinner. You’ll never escape your karmic debt. You'll never escape your punishment. I’ll find you whenever you are, no matter how far you run. Even if I forget everything else of my mortal life, I'll never forget your face.
His face.
Dan Heng had never seen much of his own face in the darkness of the Shackling Prison, but he'd been strung up and whipped for its likeness. Punished for whom it once belonged. This is simply the weight of your karma from your past life. It was you who buried your beloved. It was you who nearly destroyed your homeworld. It was your fault, Dan Feng, that she died. How could you do that to her? To your friend? High Elder, do you know how the Vidyadhara suffered for your pride? It is you who is at fault for the deaths of so many of our kin. You, you, you. This is what you deserve, Yinyue Jun, for your arrogance. it matters not if it was your past life, it matters not if you're now a child, you have no right to shed those tears—
Seeing his face—Yinyue Jun's face—for the first time then, with its gleaming irises, its jadeite horns, its otherworldly glow—
—Dan Heng hated it.
His features were a curse, one not unlike the powers he'd inherited. You should never be allowed to roam free, Dan Feng. You cannot be trusted with the powers of a High Elder. Not with how you lost control in your last life.
You are a danger to us all, Dan Feng.
This is what you deserve.
Dan Heng was eager to sculpt a new face for himself. Relieved to lock away his powers. Anxious to paint into existence a dream he’d long imagined as a child. The dull green of his eyes, the short clip of his dark hair, the only hint to his past a cinnabar stroke along his lashline—these were features he’d long envisioned for himself growing up in the Prison, devouring countless novels about worldly life on the Luofu. All those stories about human men and women, leading quaint and romantic lives unfettered by destiny. All those tales about mortals far removed from his existence as a disgraced High Elder.
Looking like this—plain, unassuming, without the marks of a Vidyadhara elder—Dan Heng could pretend to be one of those mortals. He could act like he'd never felt the bite of shackles in his wrists. Like he'd never felt the burn of a welt slashed across his back. Like he'd grown up in sunlight, not the darkness of a cell.
He could act as if he were in control of his own destiny.
It would be impossible, of course, to truly entertain these delusions. But he still likes to imagine it every now and then—particularly with you, nowadays. He thinks of it when he stares at your reflections in the mirror in the early morning, brushing your teeth side by side. He thinks of it when sees the photos that March 7th has taken of the two of you, pinned up conspicuously on your bedroom walls. He especially thinks of it when he catches himself looking at the selfies that you always insist on taking with him—which is very often, given how you like to snatch his phone and update his lockscreen with them.
To the uninformed eye, all of these scenes make the two of you look like a simple, human couple—one right out of a novel.
Dan Heng thinks about this most often: a normal life with you, in which he is not burdened with the title of Yinyue Jun. In which there is no chance of staining your future with the transgressions of his past. In which you’ve never once been hurt because of his relation to Dan Feng, and where you will never be hurt again.
If paradise is but a dream, he thinks, gazing at the contours of your soft expression, then I wish to sleep forever.

hiiiiii ❤️ I love your art but i wanted to ask if you use AI or not? It’s getting harder to find who the real artists are and who keeps faking it I’d love to see how you start your drawing process and wips!
Hello Anon and thank you for the ask!
I understand the concern of not knowing whether any piece uses AI, but I assure you, none of my art work uses any form of AI. I use Clip Studio Paint to do all of my artwork and everything is sketched, inked, and colored by hand. I have shared many of my WIPs with a few friends of mine, but I'll share them with everyone now, as to put any suspicions to rest! =D
These are wip and sketches, so please don't mind the messy process I have lol! At some point I was thinking of streaming my process, so people can watch me work, if they are at all interested. I'm still working on setting it all up.
Below are my WIP for some of my popular Elucien art!
The Elucien kiss, this was just putting down some shading before I worked on the lighting and coloring over the sketch.
My 'anime' style lucien. I had just put down flats and brief shading on his skin. I used the CSP background of a sunset here, adjusting it later and adding some glow.
My Lucien in Illyrian leathers! I was trying out different brushes and mood painting. A lot of this was attempting some monochromatic base painting before adding colors on top.
The sketch and painting of my Elucien garden. I had the HARDEST time trying to get Elain's head to gently touch Lucien's!
I painted the colors down, and started to get into the flow of the tone I wanted, and bigger shapes of Elain's hair. Like AI, hands are the BANE of my existence! I need a lot more study and anatomy practice. Perhaps I can post some of that here too! (I'm just always embarassed of the messy looks and weirdness of the process)
The base colors for my Elucien mother's day painting! This one turned out so pretty, I LOVED How Elain's hair came out in the end, I was pretty shocked! The sky looked sunny too!
Lucien and his wet shirt! This was the first time I've ever tried to paint a wet shirt effect before. I had no idea what I was doing, and had to try and find many different references.
These are the sketches I had done for Lucien and Elain's Final Fantasy pictures I made. Again, I need more anatomy practice, but doing these were so much fun! I listened to Final Fantasy music too to really get me in the mood. ^-^
And this is Elain of that series, in her flat colors!
There ya have it Anon! Here are just some of the WIPs I could find from my painting/drawing process. A lot of it is messy, chaotic, and just ugly looking at the start, but as they say "trust the process!" I certainly hope this helps ease any thoughts or suspicions. I understand its hard to find good work out there that is done with legitimacy, but all my work has hours of blood sweat and tears in them. =D

Road to 3D- Sam Manson (Part 1):
Model sheet
Part 2: Character Modeling
Hi! On my recent posts of my 3d models I got many asking questions about how I made them. I'm currently working on a 3d Sam model from scratch and so I thought I can document my process here and add some thoughts through my process.
Before I can model anything in 3d I need a reference and a plan. For characters this means I need to create a model sheet, so here we are.
Some disclaimer first before I continue:
I'm just a self-taught hobby artist not a professional or proper art student. The infos I write here down are just the things I do and can be completly wrong or different in a professional setting.
This is not a tutorial or a step-by-step-guide for character design or how to make character sheets in general. Just additional things that I pay attention to when I make a model sheet for my 3d models.
As someone who just does 3d modeling in my freetime for 2 1/2 years I see myself still as a beginner. I'm still in a experimenting with different techniques and artstyle. This and the following posts describes just stuff I do for this model, it could be some other method next if I feel this didn't work out that well. Nothing is set in stone.
I do the 3d models just for myself for practice and for fun, you cannot download them anywhere. I just post screenshots and do sometime animations to archive my progress.
Under the cut are my thoughts of how I approach a model sheet for a 3d character:
First things first I search for references and make some rough sketches to decide how I want the character to look like. I found this image of a character on pinterest ( anyone knows who the artist is? I cannot find the original source) and use this as a reference for my Sam model.
After the inital phase I first draw the front side of the character. For a 3d model I need a symmetrical neutral character in a T-pose, an A-pose or a standing pose in which the arms doesn't obscure the body. This makes it easier to model and rig them late on.
Speaking of obscuring the body it's also better to have a character without their clothes on and in multiple angles. It is easier to model the character's full body first and then model the clothes around it as an anchor point.
The most import angles for me are the front and side view. The other angles are more for the details to get the likeness right. I try to model the front view most accurately and the sideview is more for the proportions. I don't often see people only from the side view so whatever I draw from the side cannot 100% be accurately be modeled like that. I also made a different side view on the right with the arm seperated from the body, this makes it easier block in the form of the body and it's easier to model the arm and hand seperatly because hands are not only difficult to draw but also difficult to model.
For the different angles I use a mannequin model in blender as a guide and reference. Clip studio paint (the painting program I use) has also 3d mannequins but I personally find them difficult to move around so I prefer to use blender for this.
When I'm finished with the model sheet I also make a quick turnaround animation to see if anything looks consistent enough.
Yeah that's it. Now onto the modelling process!

hi, I wanted to ask where do you draw? or rather, what program are you using?
Hello ! I decided to give a full run down since i figured that this would be helpful as guide if you're looking to experiment on things, so just in case anyone wanted to know what i use for my process and such, its here !! For starters, I use Clip Studio Paint ! And a 17(?) year old Cintiq that's not in production anymore as my main tablet (Cintiq 12wx) My main brushes are the following
i prefer a textured look to my illustrations which is why these are my main brushes TT SU Cream Pencil - The brush i use most for rendering. SOL - (versatile) The brush i use for sketches/doodles/forms sometimes lineart/shading Caspar Pen - My main line art pen ! The difference between SOL and Caspar Pen can be illustrated here.
SOL - more clean, not as opaque with less pressure it grows fainter. Caspar - Dense, kind of fuzzy. Can be quite faint if you use less pressure with the pen. For texture brushes when rendering, I use quite a few but they should be available at the clip store if you look them up ! I use a lot so here are the main ones?
Whenever I need new material or I feel as if the brush I'm using doesn't work I usually download new ones, but these are the ones I use the most. For my work actual work process I've explained it before on twitter, so ill attach it here and elaborate more.
Sketch line art- the usual final and first pass works for me, and im lazy so I dont like to draw over and over again. Base- Is straight forward, sometimes I add in other shadows and render a little bit if I feel like it. Over Paint and Pray- this is where I do most of the fixing/rendering/ changes to the whole illustration, I find it easier to see how the whole thing looks before making any changes that I see fit. Effects - Gradient Map/ Multiply / Overlay etc. This is how my layers usually look like. To me this is the most important part of the illustration because its where I find out where I fucked up, what I need to change to make it feel more like what I want it to portray. (etc.) So I add more over paint if that happens, add more multiply/overlay if I need it and so forth
The gradient map I use; ( I use the rainbow one the most )
I post my speed paints and process sometimes if I remember to record it, and that's the basic summary of what I usually do. So sorry if this post is long ! TT But I like to share my process in case anyone needs it to start off on drawing digitally, I hope this explains things well anon ! Thank you

Do you have any tips on actually getting into and learning art? I love your art and whenever I see it I get the urge to make my own, but I'm not sure what to do or where to start. Also whenever I see your art I have to stand up and run around my room because I have no other way of expressing how BIFAJSHFJKASBFLSDHBFS your art makes me feel.
First of all, ASJDKDKAKAJAF THANK YOU
Secondly, @/skyloftian_nutcase got a somewhat similar ask that I and a lot of other artists reblogged with various pieces of advice, I would check it out!
My response was mostly for it you are looking to get a foundational base in figure drawing and how to measure and all that jazz, which I do think that is super important cus if you can draw complex subjects and understand how they form, then you can draw them simplified!
But even more than that, just start drawing what interests you. I love drawing people so I end up studying anatomy and poses and facial expressions the most. I love adding backgrounds as well so I've been trying to incorporate more of those into my drawings as well!
Other skills will follow, but if you hate what you're doing, you're not going to want to practice or create.
I end up using a LOT of pinterest posts for reference or inspiration. I try not to downright copy a pose anymore, but I'll find multiple sources and kind of make them my own, the best I can! Pose reference apps are great too, cus you can maneuver the doll into whatever position you need. Great for very specific poses you can find pics of, or have trouble modeling on yourself.
Tracing and copying others work is a FANTASTIC way to study styles and techniques and improve your own skill and find your own style! Just be sure to credit your sources if you share on social media. I did a lot of master studies when I was in art school! Find artists who are more skilled than your and/or have different styles than you and learn from each other☺️ it's a great way to challenge yourself, make friends, and improve! Iron sharpens Iron, and what not😉
On the matter of drawing programs, I use Clip Studio Paint and LOVE IT. it was a one time fee for me (dont know if it still is) and was waaay cheaper than photoshop, which I had used for years to draw. Much more geared towards artists. But there are a lot of great free programs out there too! I've only used the 2 tho, so I would just google free drawing programs so you can test them out first.
If you don't work digitally, any material goes! I would start out with cheap materials first as you're building your skills. No need to spend $50 on 1 tube of water color when you don't know how to paint haha. Take it from me, who spent close to $1k in paints over 3 years of school and im TRASH at painting haha. Like, actually terrible lol.
Idk if this answers any of your questions, but feel free to send more asks or message me if you have more specific questions or clarification! I'll try to help if I can❤️
Art is a skill you have to build and takes time, so give yourself some grace, and laugh at your mistakes💪 as long as you enjoy it, that's most important.

Thank you so much @bokatan and @h3raklion for the tag!
I can tell this is going to become a patented Furby wall of text™ so I'll just throw in a cut now. tl;dr: I love you all and i draw danse way too much
This has been an interesting year mostly in that its my first time posting personal art online in, what, 7 years? I stopped doing this kind of drawing shortly after high school. I picked up painting flash and have been focusing on my tattooing since then. In that time I never did any digital drawing or character drawing until 2 years ago this month, when I drew Val for the first time.
I was terrified to post anything anywhere, I think I posted one piece to reddit, but besides that I kept everything pretty private until April of 2022. I originally made this blog as a place to silently post my drawings and screenshots while providing a sort of devlog of my mods for my own records, and didn't think I would be noticed. I didn't realize people tracked the paladin danse tag, lol!
I'm really glad for all the people I've met through here, I never would have kept this blog up if it weren't for the wonderful messages from all of you guys. So much of my art, both in subject and execution has been influenced by the other users I've had the pleasure of interacting with and I hope to keep it up this year!
You all know I mostly just draw Val and Danse, and this is the palette I use for most things:
These are all pretty drab, I use different of blending layers and photoshop adjustments to get the colours how I want them at the end.
I usually try to use different brushes in each of my drawings, but these are the ones I come back to most often. The first one is a variant of one of these brushes, I modified it to change size based on direction and tilt. I used the brush almost exclusively until august and its still my favourite for quickly laying out forms and values. I use this one for freckles. The rest are some of my top picks from True Grit Texture Supply, mostly from Chromagraph and Monomania.
I'm glad I was able to really get into drawing this year, and going through my folder I'm pleased with how my anatomy and faces have improved. However I am disappointed in how much of it is just the same ginger fuck. I'm really stunting my growth by not varying my subjects, and now that I'm more comfortable with the tools I want to push myself to actually. uh. try. Put in the effort to make art that says something, tells a story. Less single characters floating in blank voids. More people interacting, scenes, environments. I also really want to get back into digital painting, I used to be really into digital painting and in theory know how to do it. I'm going to try and dig out that old knowledge lol.
Despite being bit bland, and having some glaring errors that still bug me, that Danse drawing is still one of my favourites. I think I spent at least 8 hours on it. I was dealing with some personal issues at the time and just really wanted to scratch that brain itch that the bos knight uniform gives me. It's stupid, I hate it, I can draw it nearly completely from memory by how often I'm looking at it.
The 'tried something new' panel is difficult because I feel like a lot of my recent work has been pretty stagnant. It's all done with the same technique, same palette, same boring cel shading, same layer order, boring. This is one of the few times I did any proper digital painting, and tried to adapt the looser style that I use when I'm drawing in analogue mediums to my digital work.
I just talked about art here and not mods because that would be a whole other wall of text. But it would boil down to: love to do it, no time, and expensive.
Also, if anybody is interested, I do my drawing in Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop on a Surface Laptop Studio.

Tag Game-Fandom Edition
Lol time to do this!! Thank you for the tags @myfavouritelunatic @iamstartraveller776 @somebirdortheother @youwearfinethingswellwriter
Your name: Catrine
Your first fandom: Robin Hood BBC, but Rings of Power is probably my first “real one” because I’m interacting with more people than just my actual immediate friends, who I would BEG to read my chapters.
Your current fandom: TROP!!! All the way baby. Give me all the sweet Saurondriel/ Haladriel love you can.
How did you first get into fandom? Well, a friend kind of dared me and my friend to write ourselves into our favorite show. Something like 40 chapters for me later, and the beast was released forever. We happily write every possible way our little college brains could think of ways to have sex fictionally 😆😆. Now I just write with more creativity and experience 😏
How long have you been engaging in fandom spaces? Well, originally, 20 years, but in a “real” fandom where I’m interacting with real people and not just coercing my friends? Since October.
How often do you read fanfic? I try to read a little every day, even if it’s a few lines, maybe a chapter if I’m feeling extra luxurious. It’s always less when I’m fixated on purging my own writing, but I just AM BEYOND TICKLED when I get reviews, so I try really hard to return the pleasure.
Top three characters? Can I could Saubrand three times?? 😈😈😈. If not, the. Sauron, Gal and… Disa if I have to pick a third. I love her Lady Macbeth vibes.
Have you ever written a fic for a fandom, and if so shout it out!
Touch the Darkness- canon divergent post season 1, secret missions, lots of smut, LOTS of arrogant Sauron. And magic. (Explicit Rating)
Beautiful Creature of Darkness- Gothic Lit, Phantom of the Opera inspired AU. Lots of magic, seduction, sexy voices, ptsd Finrod, werewolves, and Sauron shapeshifts to a Vampire for a very hot chapter. (Explicit Rating)
Dark Wolf of the Woods- Red Riding Hood au, first age Sauron is cursed to remain in werwolf form until someone of the light tames him. Aka, the home of Goodboi Sauron, bestest boy wolfron, give him all the Scritches and treats.
Have you ever drawn fan art for a fandom? NOPE. Art is not my strong suit. But I’m happy to keep painting with words.
Share a personal headcanon you feel strongly about? I’m with @myfavouritelunatic on this one. I love the concept of Repentant Sauron and all the what ifs he went through with redemption instead!
You're trying to convince a friend to get into your current fandom(s) with you. what episode, clip, or scene are you showing them?: “don’t start…” that was enough to make me quiver. I was HOOKED from then on. And I think that chemistry is enough to hook my friends.
And finally, what does fandom mean to you?:
Creativity, Collaborative, Community. That’s what it has really become for me, and I love it!! Thank you to all my new friends, you have really helped me find joy and fun in times when it is hardest in my own life. You will probably never know the full extent that you help me personally or even professional with a comment, a like, a reblog, or my favorite- a message. You are all so awesome!!

This post will be more of a progress update than an exhibition of anything I’ve finished, so I’ll start with the most interesting stuff.
Here’s the first of hopefully eventually many pieces of Thunderbearers commissions! This piece, depicting a nondescript Thunderbearers Astartes—maybe a Sergeant—locked in combat with a nondescript Goffs Nob, was commissioned from the lovely Picklld, who you can find on Twitter and Reddit. They were an absolute joy to commission. Incredibly patient, incredibly cooperative, and incredibly creative! They absolutely nailed the Thunderbearers look with very minimal input, and the pose, lighting, and detailing are all undoubtably fantastic.
There’s a lot about this piece that I really appreciate even beyond the novelty of my guys being art now. I think Picklld absolutely excels at utilizing extreme values to create dramatic compositions, and they have a deft eye for detail. The battle damage on the Astartes power armor tells the tale of a long-embattled warrior, the inscriptions on his hip, fluttering purity seals, and still-burning backpack candles visually professing his monastic devotion to the Chapter. His bold, aggressive pose professes the signature Thunderbearers battle fury as he dives headfirst into close combat with a Nob, the buzzing killsaw framing the Marine’s figure like the halo of a venerated saint. The Ork, too, looks suitably bestial, his snarling jaw held together by a brutal metal similar to that which his terrifying power klaw is made of. The jaw prosthetic and head stitches imply that this Ork isn’t one to succumb to any injury as menial as a decimated jaw or an exploded head. A skull and tallies on his weapon of choice supports an air of monstrous veterancy, perhaps counting the most worthy of opponents that he’s felled over doubtless years of gory combat.
Rex Manticore faces down Bladeguard Squad Cambarn during the Second Battle of Deadside Pass
As a brief aside, the Ork’s power klaw and killsaw abomination is a little reference to a rivalry that my Lieutenant, Simon Sadrian, formed with the Goffs Warboss, Rex Manticore, during the Calthradia Crusade. Sadrian and Manticore have waged pitched battles at the same location three times now, each one taking place in the mountainous region that acts as the main passageway from the Calthradian beachhead onto the plateau, and subsequently into the mainland. This region is called Deadside Pass, and its rocky cliffs have been forever stained with the blood of Astartes and Ork alike. In each of these battles, Rex and Sadrian met in hand-to-hand combat. While the Ork in the commission isn’t necessarily Rex, he also isn’t necessarily… not.
In conclusion, I’m incredibly satisfied with this art. It’s sick as fuck and I’ll very likely be commissioning the artist again in the future.
Moving from drawing to painting, I finally swung by my local Games Workshop and grabbed my classic 2002 Daemon Prince. This model is a few firsts for me. It’s my first resin model, and man, resin is obnoxious. It’s not horribly dysfunctional, it’s just uncomfortably soft, and a total pain in the ass to clip from the sprue.
This is also the first time I’ve ever attempted to paint in subassemblies. This is a really nice and rare model, so I’d like it to stand out on the tabletop. Since I didn’t have any paper clips, I ended up using, like, matches or incense sticks or some shit to prime the pieces. Sub assemblies are very… strange to me, and I’m not really sure I like doing them. Building a model to completion before priming and painting it kinda scratches my brain better, but I understand why this would be a more efficient way to paint a model, especially a big fancy one.
A layer of Khorne Red washed with Agrax Earthshade, cleaned with another layer of Khorne Red, and then brightened with Mephiston Red, making him the same color as the rest of my World Eaters
Speaking of painting, tackling this thing’s color scheme has been a little bit of a challenge. The GW version of the model has a lot of advanced techniques to it, things that are undoubtedly beyond my skill level, like some really gorgeous blending between the Prince’s skin and the armor. Because that’s far beyond my ability at this point, I’m gonna try and paint it the best I can using the stuff I’ve learned. That means mostly color layering and excessive use of washes. Whoops.
In regards to the actual color scheme, black armor wouldn’t really work for a World Eaters Daemon Prince, so despite my desire to keep my World Eaters as “vanilla” as possible, I’m gonna swap up the colors of the model. I think I’m going to try and emulate the scheme of the new Prince on my Prince. Black skin, red armor, and bronze trim, which is quintessential World Eaters. A new scheme on a classic model, and an homage to the modernized (actually good) Daemon Prince model, since I like the new one but much prefer the old shitty one because it was in Dawn of War.
I’ve got a few more things to talk about, but not many, so next post will be a short one.

What art program do you use and can you tell us a little about your art journey? If you don't mind me asking.
I use Clip Studio Paint and love it! The 3D models are great, it's so helpful not only for pose references and the like, but i also have custom models saved of the characters i draw the most so i have consistent body type + height reference (this is especially helpful wrt ivan lol), also clip studio assets is just. a fantastic resource to have
i was always an artsy kid, i took art all 4 years in high school which at my school meant taking ap 2D studio art senior year (got a 4/5 on my portfolio which i'm still pretty proud of ngl). at my first college, i minored in studio art (it was actually taking an art history survey class for this minor that resulted in me switching from studying graphic design to studying art history which is a whole other story lmao) so i got to continue taking art classes in college. i won't post my favorite pieces on tumblr directly bc they're from a life drawing class lmao so they feature explicit (artistic) nudity, but here's a tweet i made sharing them if you're curious
i fell out of art a bit when i dropped out back in early 2019, because i suddenly lost any motivation or inspiration to do anything in general (this was easily the lowest point in my life and that's including when my mom died in 2015 lmao), and then later felt only inspired to do fanart but traditionally drawn fanart has never been popular unless you're really good lmao so i was intimidated. then a couple years ago i broke down and got an ipad and i love drawing on it tbh, i'm so glad that i did. (it's also great if you like mobile stardew valley btw).
very very slowly i've been trying to get back into traditional art too, because for one i like it, but for another thing, i very firmly believe you should have hobbies that don't require looking at a screen. i actually have plans for doing a little drawtober kind of thing though we'll see if it actually pans out lmao, in general i am hoping that moving to berlin will help reignite some more inspiration even if it's just in the form of going around making sketches of buildings lol

My #1 post of 2022
I've cut my hair for the first time in 6 months. I used to cut it every month, or every other. I used to have it always cropped and buzzed, never more than an inch or two. Shaved sides or undercuts always present.
One night I had a dream where I looked in the mirror and saw myself with long strands of hair lying from my neck. I looked masculine and beautiful. But I was guarded towards my reflection, unbelieving and untrusting when I woke. I laughed about it later, but wondered if that could be me.
I changed my hair in many ways. Always shaped and sheared by my own hands. That sculpted the image of myself as one shapes clay, of the earth from which we came.
I look from a distance at myself and see my many forms and multiplicity. I look at photos of those who came before me, and treaded the same steps of nonconformity, and see myself in the other.
My hair now reaches the middle of my back, a wave that flows beyond my body. Something I care for with tenderness, and give the attention to maintain. An extension of me and what is my version of androgyny.
I've always cut my hair. I cut my friends' hair. I'm the local queer barber they say, knowledgeable in my trade.
I haven't cut my hair in a long time, and then I did. I missed my hair immediately. And was surprised by it, for I had resented its existence as anything feminine for so long. And had now grown to love its multitudes without realizing, as if it were a stray dog.
I combed my fingers through my hair in the shower as the water poured over me, and felt a renewal. A new breath in, and out. I accepted what it had given me, what it has for me now, and what it will have later.
Through the labor of my hands and mirrors, the reflections on myself. Time and time again, I create myself anew.

Possible eyestrain (sorry) and dark themes?
It's Glitch and Blooper!!! My two best brother boys. They're both post-death but unfortunately I haven't come up with lore as to why yet. Regardless! They were definitely involved in some type of reality tv show but in a kind of eerie way. Like obviously they're cute but there has to be something creepy going on behind it.
Anyway they're sweet lovely boys. Glitch is a little shorter and rounder. He's the younger brother. Blooper is the older brother. They're cat-cow hybrids as displayed by the horns, tail on Blooper, Glitch's hooves, and the whiskers and tail, and Blooper's paws. They're meant to be digitigrade fursuit style type things because I think that's very cool. I listen to music a lot to help get the creative juices goin so I'll list the songs I was listening to for each of them too.
Also Glitch only has 1 arm in case you didn't notice
Here's Glitch's Reference
I love his back patterns so much I really need to draw from the back or side more I just haven't come up with any poses like that yet. Perhaps I shall look around for some.
I haven't used set color palettes very much before so I wanted to try it for him. I was listening to the sunset lover animation meme so I was like sure sunset palette and this was the first one pinterest offered. I showed him to one of my friends and he was so transfixed by the colors he didn't even notice that he was missing an arm lol.
But yeah he's got the same ear and general head shape as his brother except that he's got rounder cheeks and thinner sleek feet paws. He also still has both of his eyes still. I noticed on art fight last year that a couple people asked to draw gore of Blooper so I wanted to make it easier for anyone who wanted to in the future with Glitch, especially since he's more roughed up.
Uh yeah unfortunately my Clip Studio Paint files got messed up while I was moving him into Live2d to maybe animate him so I only have the .png version of his reference :( But the animation came out cool. The software is usually for VTubers but it worked for my purposes. It's not done yet though.
Here's Blooper!! He's more cat like since I hadn't fully solidified the hybrid status in my mind. One of his eyes is missing which is what the X is for and I liked the idea that his eyes would change based on expression like in animation memes. I've always liked that. Also I was listening to Pork Soda by Glass Animals when I made him so he is canonically scared of pineapples like cats are sometimes scared of cucumbers. I'll figure out a real reason later maybe.
I used to work in the awful drawing program, sketches school because it's what my iPad came with. You can't undo and there are only a certain number of colors to choose from. There are also no layers. It was very formative for my art style. I liked the charcoal brush the best and I've loved it since then. Definitely my comfort style now. But that's where the color palette came from. The greens and blues were so specific and saturated, it was what I needed.
I really could have made this 2-3 separate posts.
His patterns were super fun to design too, the back was a challenge but I enjoyed it a lot. I tried to animate him in Alight Motion once and it was awful. Since then I've learned Adobe After Affects so maybe I'll try again. Looking at older, even a few months, makes me really happy cause I can see my progress so clearly even in the reference sheets. (Compare Blooper's ref to the new Cinder one).
As a reminder all my ocs are up for attack on art fight CaytheFox including ones I haven't talked about yet :3 Have a lovely night and stay hydrated folks. Thanks for reading all this if you got here.
