Hello! The topic is very much allowed ^^ Thank you for sending an ask!

That's a good question- I've always had a drive towards his type of characters I'd say; researchers, doctors, leaders... (Read as the smartest person in the room), with emotional complexity of any sort (stoic, masks feelings, unreadable, and so on) and just enough lore that I can sink my teeth into while still having more than enough wiggle room to build on it in a way that feels like connecting dots rather than just, coming up with stuff because I said so - not like there's anything wrong with that, I'm an avid AU maker on the side haha.

And so - around 3 years ago Project W was added to Dead by Daylight and honestly? Initially I wasn't thrilled. I tried to get into RE a few times but it never stuck - I had no character to latch onto. If I can't find a fav, there's little chance that I'll get invested. And somehow, Wesker slipped under my radar back when I tried watching gameplay from RE1. (I think I just lost interest before getting to the end, couldn't find a good gameplay)

But yes, somehow Wesker being added to DBD got me to look further into him - and there it was, the favourite character spark. I can't say I knew he was gonna be special to me when it initially happened - I just took his presence in my thoughts like I did with my previous favourite characters. But then time went on, months, and he was still firmly rooted in my mind. Usually I find a new character by that time.

Not with Wesker.

Instead of me jumping to another one and adding him to my collection of dear characters, I just kept trying new things with him creative-wise. I think it took me over a year to start catching on that he wasn't just a fav for me but a genuine comfort character. My interest in him pushed my artistic side much more than any other characters in the past - it almost feels like they could walk so Wesker could run, you know? I assume the timing of things has also helped, but the point stands.

If you looked at the other favourite characters I've had over the years, and took the key traits that drew me to them in the first place, you'd find that Wesker has all of those as well. Like he's made solely of pieces I love in characters and something more.

And now it's been almost 3 years and he's still standing strong. I've watched shows, movies and gameplays - came across characters that used to be my favs and found new characters that, by all means, should've taken the spot. I used to change favs every few months after all. Alas - it's been years and Wesker did not give anyone a fighting chance haha.

I guess the fact I finally came around to buying stuff with him that really drove the idea of him being a comfort character for me. I'm not big on spending money on merch and yet there I was over a year ago, ordering a tsum tsum.

TLDR: He's the first character I've bonded with for so long and I know I would've been worse off without him making himself at home in my brain, as exaggerated as that might sound ✨

What was your favorite character traits about Rachel Amber?

Hey! Happy to see you and boy what a great question, thank you! Loaded answer ahead; TLDR, see the good in Rachel Amber.

Rachel's many things. Pretty, hot, charming, stylish, not to mention her lovely voice, these physical traits are already a great start for many. Then you have functional traits-- ambidextrous (can I just say that's hella cool, omg I want that too), social genius/people skills, straight As student, drama queen, masked with a layer of mystery, many people would've already fallen for her, in-game and out, me being one of them when I first got to know her as a character (so pretty much those were my fav traits of her).

But if we strip her physical beauty down and shove aside her fascinating skillset, who is she really? We may never know 100%, but some character traits can still be found.

Here are some of my favourite (&underrated) Yangs to Rachel Amber's sides. aka why Rachel Amber should get more love & less hate from the fandom

Ofc there are exceptions, but those are not relevant in this post; assumptions & headcannons are added

1. A good heart

Kindness to me will always be one of the most important character traits to have for anyone. With all that powerhouse of a Rachel Amber can accomplish, she chooses to use them with kindness.

With her social skills she chooses to lift people up, saving Hayden from a quickly-escalating scolding from Mr Keaton in ep 1, asking Chloe in a nuanced way if she's "taking (getting kicked outta Blackwell) this a little too well", kinda guiding her independent thinking rather than directly telling her what's right or wrong. (There'd be constructive criticism between Chloe & Rachel, which I stan in a relationship/friendship.)

With her intelligence she tutors Justin & helped him improve his algebra from an F to a C I believe? That's pretty impressive, ngl

with her ambidexterity.. idk, she makes Chloe happy :> (yes i'm totally referring to doing graffiti with her left hand on Chloe's insistence *cough*)

This is why I'm inclined to believe that tornado was not Rachel's revenge. She'd never choose to put Chloe, her parents, her friends, at risk; if she wanted revenge she could've killed the men w her powers. Sure you can say some of these might be her trying to live up to her DA father / principal assistant's duties, but at least she chose to do them. She could very well be a kid who doesn't give a damn or fluff through some of these things that requires time & effort.

2. Sees the good in others!

One of the most underrated Rachel Amber traits imo. This girl literally has a reputation of "her friends are her friends", and does not discriminate in terms of friendship/who she hangs out with. She picked Chloe up from her lowest (saw her & praised her for backtalking the biker, defending Nathan, & "you're more of a hero than you think you realise", when Chloe didn't take Drew's money). Rachel stuck with Chloe when no one else did (puts up with her sh*t, which ofc Chloe does the same), literally chose Chloe to share her uncertain future outside Arcadia, did not take her chance to leave when she could in those 3 years, most likely cuz she wanted to leave with Chlo. She also hung out with Nathan (& Chloe when so many wouldn't), saw the good in Frank (yes. same as Nathan & Chloe his reputation is far from great and despite the unhealthiness of this relationship, she at the very least cared for the guy, & saw the humanity inside him), & very sadly fell for the portrayed "gone through some serious shit" act by Jeffers*n, all these showing her being an empathetic & sympathetic person.

I'll add non-judgemental as well, cuz it's why she's able to get along with so many people so well. Like what her VA Kylie Brown says in an interview, whoever you are, Rachel'd be like "hey you're a pretty cool person, let's talk!" It's inspiring. I love that about her. Gotta have more Rachels in the world.

3. Ambitious. Puts in the hard work. Persistent.

"One day, I'm gonna climb Mt Everst." says a 15 year old Rachel in Bts, who has posters of travelling in Asia (the green poster has Chinese words saying "go travel in China", amongst others), already speaks about her courage & ambition. And of course, leaving Arcadia with no one but Chloe for a better life. Yes you can say it's reckless, because it's a big idea for a teenager, but she didn't just give up on it. It stuck with her, and she worked hard for it. Doing photoshoots to get modelling jobs, maintaining her 4.0 GPA, finding opportunities to leave... she did those for 5 years. And in the comics universe, they made it out! Now they're over 22yos with an LA apartment, Rachel's in modelling gigs with her acting career kicking off... what could've been for game Rachel. (oh the things I'd do for Bts' ending to be Max appearing in the nick of time instead of that damn vibrating phone!) Also I wonder if in some universes, like the wheelchair Chloe one, a missing Rachel could mean she actually made it out without others knowing, instead of the darker end.

4. Caring & thoughtful & protective & passionate partner/friend/lover!

She listens to Chloe's problems (therapy session), she gives Chloe nice clothes to wear within the few days they'd met (what financially challenged Chloe needed, & in a way that wasn't awkward for Chloe), she sends post cards to Chloe while she's away (she thinks about her often), & "don't f****ing touch her". Passionate lover, I mean.. the way she kissed Chloe under that lamp (with high intimacy of course) is good enough an example. Chloe's the romantic one in my head. Rachel, the passionate.

Hello, Prince! I’ve been following (and indulging into) your blog for a while now and this is my first time submitting a question/request 🥹 but before I jump into that, I must take a moment and tell you how much I love your perspectives, especially on the Bucci gang (biased, but they’re my favs). Sometimes, while reading your answers, I forget that you’re technically writing them as yanderes. Your characterizations, although yandere, feel very close to their canon selves, imo. Just exaggerated scenarios, sure; but the human psyche is so complex, and yet so simple at the same time - one “right” trigger and everything can go wrong. Especially when you’re dealing with characters coming from such, let’s say, vulnerable backgrounds…

Anyway. I’ve just seen your answer on Leone and Mista’s submissive natures. How do you view Bruno? What I get from your writings is that he is this man who absolutely needs to have a certain control in creating the perfect family he wants. But sometimes I’d like to think he might not be that when it comes to more intimate stuff. After all, he’s someone who has the control in everything. He’s a leader in a mafia organization, first of all. Wouldn’t he also be a little submissive behind closed doors? Just letting himself go?

I’m so curious to read your perspective on this, Your Highness. Thank you for taking your time. Your writings are always a delight.

What I love most about human psychology is the fact that every single individual in the world has the capability to do something bad, but doesn't. Free will is both humanity's savior and tormentor. Why do some individuals snap when others in the exact same position do not? What sets them apart, why do they act the way they do?

You can't know, because we haven't come far in psychology at all! We have no idea what we are or why we do what we do! It's fascinating, it's the best part of humanity. Medical studies are different, you learn objective facts about your body, what do you learn in psych? Theory! Lots of theory, and you go your entire study learning more and more theory! It's so fun.

Some say that our personalities are predetermined based off of our biology, others say it's our environment that shape who we are. Logic dictates a bit of both- you can inherit traits from your parents (possibly from observation, possibly from genetics) and certain disorders from them, but you are but a mere mold of your loved and loathed ones. I supposed I'm a bit biased in this aspect, I'm very, very interested in why we do what we do. But human nature is faulty, and it looks like I won't be getting an answer in my lifetime. It's such a shame.

I've said this countless times, but I value accuracy above my personal preferences. Not every character is going to be absolutely perfect for me, and that's alright. There's attractive characters that I am just not compatible with, I'm sure you feel the same. Straying too far from the source material produces an entirely different person wearing said character's likeness- and, honestly, that's really upsetting. It's just not them. Why say you love a character if you're bending them to the point where it's just someone else?

The same goes for making a character a yandere. Stereotypical yandere doesn't work for every single character, but what does 'yandere' really mean? There's lots of different types! Not every yandere is super overly affectionate and totally head over heels in love. It doesn't work for every character because, well, how many characters do you know that read exactly like that? Why would you make someone like Bruno suddenly become a stalker that trips over himself to please you? Be serious.

Bruno longs for control, and expects himself to play into the typical expectation of the man being both the top and dominant one. There isn't a lot of comfortable opportunities for men to explore their sexuality in the way women do, especially considering his position as a mafioso- or, eventually, as a capo. You kind of lose respect for your boss if you find out he takes it up the ass while you're stressing over getting jobs done.

It's vulnerable to submit. It's uncomfortable. For a man, control is all he has, and if you lose it for even a second, you never really get it back again. Bruno is 'a bit' obsessed with his image- he's not too keen on the idea of his home life thinking he's too hard, or his work life thinking he's too soft. It's like a switch- there's no middle ground for Bruno, he's just one or the other.

He's just not comfortable bottoming, not until you tell him that it's what you want. Bruno is significantly more you-oriented than Guido and Leone, if you want it, you'll have it. Good husbands provide absolutely everything that their spouse could possibly want, it's not a problem- ah. Except it actually is a problem. Wouldn't you rather he takes care of you for the evening?

Bruno likes to think of himself as a very gentle, but firm, dominant man. He wants to guide you through it, really (literally and metaphorically) hold your hand. Doesn't that idea sound so much better?

When you softly tell him no, he'll budge. A good husband wouldn't force you into doing something you don't want. He'll try bottoming, if that's what you'd prefer. He'd do absolutely anything for you- it's just... going to take him a bit to adjust. He's never submitted before, he doesn't know what to do, and that's the one thing he truly hates.

But God does he get addicted. It's good. He'll fully admit the sensation was fantastic for him. Bruno may consider himself a top and to be more on the dominant side, but I think it's obvious that he's a true switch, depending on the relationship. He's a bit shy to ask for it again- he rarely initiates sex, although he flirts with his darling very, very often.

Love is about keeping the flame going. It's wrong of him to not flirt with his spouse even after you've been married for so long. He just doesn't want to accidentally pressure you into sex with him- he's just a man, he can misread you, sometimes. Although, he has a knack for telling when someone isn't being truthful, you know...

As for specific fetishes, I think Bruno doesn't really know what he wants just yet. All he's thought about prior was being a good husband, and eventually, a good father. He kind of already has children, so... it's just more of a fantasy than a real need to get his darling pregnant, if they're even capable of it. A breeding kink doesn't necessarily mean you would like children- it just means you're very, very into the idea of pregnancy. Finishing inside your partner, being finished in, it's hot. Some may enjoy the children aspect, but for most, it's just a fantasy. Bruno's more into the idea than the actuality.

But he later discovers he has a bit of a shoe fetish. That one takes him a little while.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Oh geez, I feel like I have so many. How can I pick one?

A random one is that Matsu is the kind of guy to like lying on his bedroom floor. Like, if he had a rough day? Floor Time. He's contemplated so many things while staring at his ceiling. It really helps him feel grounded; when his brain is screaming at him to Do Something, it can help to just lay down and think through stuff.

13. What's an emoji, an emoticon and/or any symbol that reminds you of this character or you think the character would use a lot?

@lawlietscaramels sometimes uses 🦆 for Matsuda, so that emoji now reminds me of him. I keep forgetting to ask lei why they chose a duck, but it feels weirdly fitting haha. Matsuda's just a duck kind of guy, I suppose.

Matsuda seems like he'd use emoticons as punctuation. Stuff like :D and :'( help get his point across in messages when his tone might be read incorrectly (especially when he's messaging someone who can't read sarcasm in an email, Ide). If he's feeling a little extra (and/or texting Misa) he'll use over-the-top emoticons like ☆*: .｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆ because he finds them fun and silly! Also, I think he'd do 😔 a lot, both irl and over the internet.

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.

I don't know the right word for it, but you know the aesthetic of, like, a bowling alley carpet? That's how his vibes are too me. Like, he's casual and fun, and I associate him with dark tones offset by bright neons.

As far as how he'd actually dress (outside of what we see in canon, where he's wearing a suit 99% of the time), I feel like it'd be kinda close to goblincore? This is kinda based on me googling and poking around sites, so I might be off with this 😅 I do think he'd love a chunky earth-tone sweater and corduroys, though. Something cozy and casual, you know?

15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)

hnnnngh why do you have to do this to me /lh I'm gonna talk about a few of them because I can't help myself they're all so good.

I love so many for different reasons! I think my favorite right now is probably MatsuIde, because I really enjoy their dynamic and banter. Also there's so much hurt/comfort potential with these two post-Kira. I feel like, after everything's happened, they have this connection to each other because they feel like no one else can really understand what those 5 years were like. This is true for the entire Task Force (and I like AizaMatsu for similar reasons), but with MatsuIde it just hits different, you know? Maybe it's because they spend so much time together onscreen (on panel?).

LawTsuda is probably my favorite ship for the first half of the manga/anime. Emotional intelligence vs. Logical intelligence is a ship dynamic that I fall for every single time, and Matsu and L have those respective traits in spades.

I also am a Canon One-Sided MatsuLight truther, lmao. Matsuda having a crush on Light feels so right but so wrong, and it really helps put parts of the second half into context. Like, Matsuda shooting Light hits so much harder that way, idk. Imagining a world where this ship is healthy is difficult but I find their dynamic so so interesting. Matsuda you deserve so much better but I can't help myself sorry.

TL;DR- MatsuIde is probably my fav overall, LawTsuda is my fav for the first half, MatsuLight is the crunchiest.

21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

My answer to both questions has to do with writing his impulsivity. His priorities differ a lot from other characters, and that changes what details he pays attention to and how he reacts to information. It also means that he's going to act irrationally in the name of Doing Something. Which is fun to play with! In chapters 9 and 10 of Weekend At Ryuzaki's, for example, I was trying to give off the idea that Matsuda is being quickly backed into a corner, which causes him to make a lot more mistakes and hasty decisions.

But on the other hand, writing an unpredictable character acting unpredictably while also making it satisfying and interesting to read is really hard. Like, I don't want him to seem like he's randomly bullshitting his way to answers that move the plot along. He has reasons for doing things in the heat of the moment, even if his reasons aren't exactly logical.

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to ths character? Something you don't like?

I like to read just about anything with the "Matsuda Touta is Not an Idiot" tag, lol. Because he's not, really. Sure, he acts without thinking sometimes, and his thought process is very different from L's and Light's, but he's not an idiot. I like fics where he solves or helps solve the Kira murders, but his line of logic is different than the one used by L/Near in canon.

It's really hard to think of things in fic I don't like, to be honest! I guess one would be the Matsuda/Sayu pairing. I just find it kinda icky given that one scene in canon with them together. If they are both older, and it's a small part of an otherwise compelling fic, I can usually forgive it, though.

i.......... dk that i have an answer to this one because idc? like i'm not that interested in 'fandom'. i suppose, really, actually, the answer is mcr because that was my first real fandom and i have friends to this day that i met on an mcr forum almost twenty years ago, but like... idk i know that i do technically participate in fandom, but i'm not interested in it as a concept or as any part of my identity (i don't refer to myself as army, or stay, or atiny or anything like that because... i don't care...)

i know sukuita is my number one ship and all but i kind of feel like talking about tenjoh more, since it's very underrated, so i'm going to go ahead and rant about those two.

spoilers ahead if you haven't watched monster yet!

i only recently started in on this series, but i'm already obsessed with it. what first drew me to it was, of course, johan. i love a complex, chilling, deeply philosophical villain, especially one who people think they understand when they really don't. and even johan doesn't fully understand himself either.

though his presence is a very dark and disturbing one that hangs over everyone, johan himself doesn't have much screen time for the majority of the series (much like james moriarty or hannibal lecter), and it's only towards the very end that we actually come to understand more about him and who he really is. even his true name is never given. and this is essential to his role in the story as it gives him a lot of nuance and complexity.

johan is depicted at first as the very embodiment of evil, a literal monster, yet his relationships with characters like his sister nina and his savior tenma give him a lot more depth and even contradict the idea of him being solely "bad."

arguably, johan has no "positive" traits initially, but his greatest strengths do like in his immense intelligence and incredible understanding of the human mind. he is able to come across as charismatic, compassionate, and kind-hearted to many others precisely because of how adept he is at essentially slipping into other people's lives, much like the monster from the storybook he read over and over as a child. his worst personality traits, morally, are his murderous intentions and manipulative nature.

like johan, tenma is also very intelligent and perceptive, too, but unlike johan he's truly kind-hearted, caring, and puts other people ahead of himself. i would say that the greatest strengths tenma has are his uncompromising optimism and empathy as well as his intelligence and sense of purpose. i would say his worst weakness, though, are his lack of self-preservation and his unflinching sense of morality, although his experience with johan does change him a bit towards the end.

for me, personally, i think the best thing about johan and tenma's dynamic is how unconventional it is. unlike the "heroes" in shows such as death note or psycho pass, tenma is not well-versed in criminology or psychology, as he's a doctor and not a detective. johan's relationship with tenma is also different from how a lot of traditional hero/villain dynamics are written, especially because tenma didn't create johan (bonaparta did) but still feels such a strong sense of responsibility towards him.

it's common for villains, especially the ones in comics or literature such as frankenstein, to have a vengeance against those who created their monstrosities. but tenma never did anything negative to impact johan or drive him into becoming a villain. in fact, tenma was the one to save johan's life as a child, even going as far as to prioritize the boy's life over the mayor's, which inevitably led to the ruination of tenma's successful career as a neurosurgeon.

though tenma was briefly bitter about this, he never regretted saving johan's life, even though the boy would grow up to become the "one in the shadows" who orchestrated so much of the death and destruction in the series.

johan was at the brink of death due to asking his sister to shoot him and kill the monster inside of him, but tenma chose to save johan's life, which led to johan returning the favor - in his own way - by killing the people responsible for the downfall of tenma's career. it was almost like his really messed up way of saying thank you. but learning that fact drove tenma to feel like johan was his responsibility. and even though tenma could have left johan's fate in the hands of others, he chose to pursue johan - obsessively and single-mindedly - for almost a whole decade.

although his personal mission was to kill johan himself, tenma failed to do so multiple times, mostly because of his overwhelming sense of ethics, his unshakeable belief that "all lives are created equal." his position as a doctor, as someone who wanted to live to help others, makes him almost completely opposite from johan, who believes that only death is equal for all and puts no value in even his own life.

even though johan kills pretty much everyone who remembers or knows about him, he spared tenma's life out of thankfulness that the doctor saved him... and also so that tenma could be the one to destroy him. he puts tenma through a living hell in order to create his own "perfect death" and wants to die from the very hands that saved him by driving tenma into breaking his ideals (which i find beautifully twisted and almost poetic).

but instead of coming to despise johan enough to kill him without regret, tenma actually uncovers the truth of johan's past and even feels an intense empathy and desire to forgive him.

johan wanted his own life, the life tenma gave back to him, to end so that he could prove his point that life has no meaning. but tenma saw meaning even in the monster. and even though johan killed so many people for no apparent reason or motive a lot of the time, tenma comes to understand that johan isn't a mindless monster with no other purpose than to destroy.

i have a lot more to watch before i actually finish the story, but based on what i already know and have gathered so far, the relationship between johan and tenma is one that i find really fascinating and complex. i would highly recommend more people try out this series - not just for them but also for the many amazingly interesting side characters and the thoughtful philosophical elements.

but idk how much of the dol lore i’ve shared on tumblr, mostly because i feel like i don’t talk about dol as much on here? so i guess here’s a bit of a dol lore dump if you must!!! and just some other stuff about the fic too!

but forgive me if i have LOL but for those of y’all that maybe don’t follow me on twitter, dol was actually inspired by something that happened to me!

i mention it in the first chapter of the fic, but the whole package scenario actually happened to me with my neighbor! i used to actually kind of have a tiny crush on my neighbor (nothing crazy i just thought he was cute lol) and my package got delivered to him!! but he lived directly across from me lol so i didn’t bother knocking or letting him know when i got my package but he saw me on the ring and then came knocking on my door a few hours later asking about the package lmfao 😭 it was super awkward in my case bc my dad answered the door and i had just gotten out the shower and i looked so bad LOL it was very embarrassing and i avoided him until he moved out a month later lolbut yea i like to think of it as a little butterfly effect in my life! bc it brought me to the fandom and stuff! so dol is really special to me in that aspect, i turned an embarrassing moment in my life into something special haha

and then in actual dol, hitch annie and sasha are really a big combination of all of my female besties (i have several lol), but i have a friend group of four, and their dynamic reminds me a lot of the of the four of us!! there’s so many convos and tidbits of their friendship lore, i’ve kinda stolen from my friends and i and our stupid escapades 😭 if you read the one shot i did of mikasa’s college days, there’s a few little tidbits that are actually just about me i slipped in! i really love writing their scenes bc i think about my friends and our friendship and what they mean to me! one of my fav scenes i have planned is from a really pivotal moment i think of often between one of my friends and i!

this is me actually really exposing the fuck out of myself too LOL but for eren’s character too, i’ve honestly put some traits of all my past romantic conquests 💀 i won’t say much more than that but yea LOL

and i’ve also expressed my experiences with grief a lot while writing dol too! my own personal experiences and just in the last few years seeing how those around me have handled it as well!

i think that’s why i just love dol so much bc it’s like little pieces of my life broken into the story, i like to say dol is a love letter to those around me and the people i love! it’s from the heart truly lol it’s not perfect but the love really is there and dol at its core (or at least i hope it’s being conveyed) is about love!!! platonic familial and romantic!! but that’ll make more sense later i think haha

but i am also obsessed with all the ackerman relationships!! i’m obsessed w kenuri too!!! i think they’re all peak tbh isayama went off w them he cooked i fear. SUCH A GOOD QUESTION AHH! thank you! - as per usual i have a very long answer and i don't really know ship names so bear with me and find it under the cut

from the show:

its so hard for me to put my feelings about this into words because i enjoy most ships coming out of the show both canon and noncanon but i wish there was more of a space for the canon relationships to be developed. like i love jo i think she's great but her only personality traits are acting and kendall's girlfriend, you know?

if i had to pick fav canon ships, i think logan and camille are so funny and despite a few bumps in their relationship they really are made for each other. something about the nerdy guy and his batshit girlfriend get me every single time across most pieces of media.

as for non canon ships... i have many favorites... james and kendall COME ON like. come on. you all know what i mean. come on. i'm not sure if carlos and stephanie counts as non canon but i thought the dance episode in the first season was super cute and i wish they kept her around to develop that relationship more. out of all four boys i think carlos is like. made of boyfriend material and it's shocking to me they play him up to be the most inexperienced romance wise. maybe it's because my himbo opinions lean more into the predominant thought process of this decade than the last but. i love carlos and stephanie! i also remember the first time i watched the show, being a bit surprised they didn't have any relationships for mrs. knight after making a big deal about it in the first season. she and buddha bob had potential i think. can't explain it. james and jett also. hm. hear me out yall. they give catty gay couple on a reality tv show that everybody loves. if jett wasn't so busy trying to bag jo he'd see his perfect match was right there all along...

least favorite canon - james and lucy. i don't know if this is a popular opinion and i do believe that the two had potential if their story had been written differently. but james' borderline obsession with her was creepy and i don't think she'd stop her tour and fly all the way back to america to be with him. if there had been more time to develop their relationship... maybe. but how i interpret lucy's character tells me she wouldn't be all that into him and that her career is more important to her than some guy. and this is not because i love james diamond btw bc i love lucy stone far more! she's to good for all of the boys

least favorite non canon... i'm not sure. i haven't really seen anything that i didn't like while perusing the btr ao3 tag. are there any gustavo and kelly shippers? i'm not sure i'd be on board with that just because gustavo doesn't always treat her very well but otherwise i can't think of any at the moment

if james and roxy weren't together, i think she and lucy would have a pretty good shot at forming a romantic relationship. they have similar interests for one, i see them writing music together all the time and generally enjoying each other's company. punk rock gf and pop punk gf for the win! she and logan also probably, if camille weren't so madly in love with him

@selangkir wrote an amazing au of tasw in which big time rush was a girlband and james and roxy swapped duties! their characterization of james and dak zevon cut me to the core. they might be my favorite non canon even if they break my heart hehe

5 Things That Make Me Happy:

Positive Feedback - has to be on the top of my list because this absolutely does breathe life into me. I started writing in the first place to make people happy. I do it because I love it and I want to share that love with others. I want to be the writer that makes people look forward to getting off work to read that new chapter or the reason they stayed up a little too late because they just had to know what happened next. I want my stories to be someone else's escape. And maybe one day, I'll be on their bookshelves, too. ♥

Genuine Friendships - they're so important to me. I'm someone who has very few friends and even fewer family, so if you're close to me, it means something. I'm all about chosen family, and it often reflects in my writing (one of my fav main characters has a tendency to adopt lonely misfits). With my friends, we're either just acquaintances or you're my goddamn sibling, there's really no in between, which is both a good and a bad quality trait.

Fucking Fallout - because it's the most immersive game I've ever played. I know a lot of the games get some hate throughout the fandom, but I genuinely love every installment that they come up with, because it continues the story. Even with all its flaws, I love all of 1, 2, 3, 4, NV, and 76. I'm more partial to 4 because I relate more to their characters, but NV had the superior storyline. ♥ I literally cannot get this game or these characters out of my head.

BTS - Okay hear me out on this one: I know BTS is a stereotypical K-Pop band, but I seriously love them as people. I don't like K-Pop normally, as a genre. I listened to "emo music" growing up (I was born in 1993 so the 2000s was where my favorite music really lied). I was also a troubled kid and I brought a lot of those insecurities and trauma to my adulthood, and my old bands just wasn't doing it anymore. The memories of teen angst mostly stressed me out. But then I found BTS, and their music and messages helped me SO MUCH as a young adult, well into later adulthood (I'm 29 now). I absolutely love them, and they make me happy with their genuine care and messages. Those 7 boys are some of my biggest inspirations in life, reminding me that I can do anything if I try hard enough. But you will NEVER catch me mixing my love for BTS with the Fallout stuff on this blog. I've noticed that liking K-Pop is a quick way to catch hate, so I keep my obsession with them to myself. I'm okay with that; I've done it for the last six years.

My Husband - as cheesy as it is to say, I have the best husband I could have asked for. STORY TIME: I met him in Kindergarten, and he was always getting me in trouble by making me laugh and the teacher kept telling us to be quiet. She had to separate us. I had a crush on him in 2nd grade. Then we didn't see each other again until middle school. We had gym class together in 6th grade. In 8th grade, we became best friends. He dated a friend of ours in 9th, and I thought that would help me get rid of the feelings I had for him because I was terrified I'd ruin our friendship if I made a move. It didn't work out between him and our friend, but he told me in 10th grade that he liked me a lot, and we really understood each other. (Honestly it "helped" that we both came from troubled/broken families and were both below poverty level.) When we got together, we were each other's first EVERYTHING. We were together all throughout high school with no complications, and our peers deemed us worthy of being prom king and queen in 12th grade even though we were the nerds who oftentimes got bullied. It was so surreal. We moved in together after high school. We went through a loooooot of bullshit. Being kicked out of houses, losing jobs, losing family members (deaths and otherwise) and we're pretty much inseparable now. We've been together for 14 years. He's supportive in everything I do, even if he doesn't always understand my obsessions. He believes in me. He knows I'm not going to thank him for doing the bare minimum (respecting me, listening to me, helping me, not expecting me to mother him, etc). He genuinely fucking loves me. And he's pretty damn handsome and funny, too. Icing on the cake. And after losing all the people that we have over the years, we're pretty much all that we've got left. But I wouldn't choose to live this life with anyone else.

bro this sounds cocky but a few things, i love them all equally so i'll list them:

my over 70,000 word novel that i've written with one of my best friends

my skateboard, which i spent hours designing the back of, i used posca paint pens to create a comic strip design with a custom character i created!

one of my first and fav kpop album redesigns...i was so excited and happy w how it turned out!!

have you ever saved someone's life?

sort of, in a way. one of my old friends (she now goes to a new school and we don't talk as much anymore) had pots, which is an illness that causes unprovoked fainting/seizures. she would faint, and be unconcious for up to 20mins, and sometimes would have seizures after fainting. other times, she would have times where she would faint multiple times, but only be unconcious for less than a minute, but would faint frequently (maybe 5-10 in an hour). because she was in our class, i did feel a lot of responsibility for looking after her. the teachers knew to call the nurse and the ambulance during her long faints/seizures, and i would go with my friend to show the ambulance where to go. we got so used to running to the school office that i swear our cardio skills built up. we have dealt with one of her faints outside of school too though, without any adult support, which was much scarier, but we managed ok. so i think a bit?

what's your favourite piece of clothing you own?

again, cannot choose. my wardrobe is my baby; she is a collection that is never ending and eclectic and so, so me. she's what i spend most of my money on (other than kpop concerts) and i love her sm.

the fact that mf orange juice fucks with my adhd meds. like thank you mum for telling me TWO MONTHS AFTER I STARTED MY MEDICATION like i swear one month is 30 days right, and x2 is 60, and i literally know that at least 20/60 days i SWALLOWED my pills using orange juice. NO WONDER THEY LITERALLY DIDNT WORK

Hi there! sorry it's been a while since I checked in so this will be a longer note. I hope you had a great weekend and week so far! I know, I wish I had written down what my answers were for the form because I can't recall anything now. 😅 I didn't watch Judge from Hell but I heard great things about it so I added it to my long list of shows. Light Shop looks great and I've heard some good things about it so I think I will move it higher on my list for this year. I think an upcoming show I'm looking forward to is Melo Movie. It looks cute and I'm a sucker for second chance romance.

If you're looking to get into cdramas there's a few I'd recommend that are more recent that you may enjoy. Guardians of the Dafeng just ended but it was a really fun show with a good ensemble cast. Dylan Wang (Wang Hedi) who was in Love Between Fairy and Devil (another excellent fantasy wuxia I'd highly recommend) is the lead and plays a modern day guy who gets transported to this other fantasy/historical world and he uses his modern day knowledge at the start to help him solve cases to get more promotions and gain the trust of key people in Dafeng. It's so much funnier than I thought it would be but has a good balance of some more serious scenes and lots of mysteries to solve.

For modern cdramas I'm still getting into them, but one I think you may actually really enjoy is Meet Yourself. I think you mentioned in your form that Run On is one of your fav shows and while it's not similar in storyline, it gave me the same comfort feeling that show had and the entire cast is amazing. It's very female-centric and the friend group is so lovely and funny. I feel like with 40 eps you really get the time to sit with the characters and get to know them so much better. Even the supporting/side characters have their own story arcs and side plots so you feel like you're part of this village. There's definitely some really serious and sad moments where I was bawling but there are so many wholesome, cute, romantic, and funny moments that make you feel like you're watching real people's lives. The only downside with this show is that I feel like it's so good and nothing else will compare to it now. Forever wishing I could wipe my memory of it so I can watch it again for the first time.

Wait, saying that nothing else will ever compare to Meet Yourself is such a strong declaration for the show, I am so intrigued! I do love shows that can make me cry but also have a worthy pay off. I might definitely might start there when I dip into cdramas!! Thank you for all the recommendations! I think the hardest part in anything is starting, so I just have to get over that hill. I hope Melo Movie exceeds your expectations. I think we can all agree we the kdrama fandom needs a new obsession.

As for what draws me to characters... Idk why I was having such a hard time answering that question, but I just looked through my fave characters tag (which is definitely not exhaustive of characters I like/love), but I noticed that it's usually characters who have a strong sense of self..? And I feel like that presents itself in various way, whether it's in what they are passionate about (mi-joo) i just love it when they have their hobbies(!) or the way they live their lives or their outlook on life (Dal-mi, cheong-ah). Gosh, I honestly have no idea if that made sense, but I hope it helps in some way! ^.^

Okay, it might just be my autism but I might need more details to properly answer this lol, feel free to correct me!

If I'm reading this right....

First, I noticed you want each group to share a certain 'vibe'. This is a good way to differentiate your clans/groups! The thing with groups of people is, there is always going to be someone outside that norm.

If you are married to the idea of having the group share a 'vibe' (personality traits, beliefs, behavior, ideals, ect) it's best to keep that group small, tight and close-knit. A smaller, more personal group is more likely to share the same mentality. A large group is more likely to form into smaller cliques or families inside the same clan.

From what I understand, Cirrusclan's thing is, live in the moment, chill, go with the flow, almost hedonistic 'pleasures of the earth type' ? The beliefs and practices of the clan should reflect that, on order for 'nurture' to overpower nature. (Nurture is behavior based on how one is raised, Nature is behavior based on 'genetics')

An easy way to separate characters with these same 'vibes' is give them different ways the go about, different other personality traits. One character is lazy and takes pleasure in doing nothing, one character is a caretaker making sure everyone has a good time, one character works hard in order to 'justify' enjoying so much free time. Maybe one character is picky, and only takes of the highest quality, maybe one character is elitist and thinks certain cats deserve relaxation more? These are just ideas. Young cats are more likely to question the existing culture.

When creating compelling characters, first figure out who is the most important cat. The cats closest to protagonists, major villains, are more important. Who is your POV cat most likely to interact with?? They'll need more writing attention. For less important characters, give them basic traits and find places to use them (places they would show up)

Example: Thorclaw from AtD. Thornclaw is perhaps the least important Thunderclan cat in this arc. The three Thunderclan protags this arc have absolutely no meaningful connection to this guy. I start by giving his base traits. He is a struct, grumpy, serious conservative hard codeist. He often guards camp. If I need a Thunderclan cat to spew some conservative codeist stuff, I'll use Thornclaw. If I need a camp guard to bother someone trying to sneak out, Thornclaw is my guy.

A characters, especially a background character, development does not have to be a big thing. Maybe this cat refuses to eat birds for personal reasons. That's it. I suggest writing a small paragraph or two for each characters 'background' This can be as simple as their family situation, mentor, how they liked training, thoughts on events or other cats, ect.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is a goal. Give a character something to work towards! Anything! Maybe they want to be a den builder. Maybe they want to be a better brother. Maybe they want to get their first cool battle scar. Maybe it's an interpersonal problem, like dealing with anxiety! Who knows! Not every character needs to be deep in the plot!

A goal gives a character a reason to... exist. Do things. Even if it's just 'get to tommorow'.

This may be harsh, but unless you are very very attached, if a character does not have a place to be in your story, cut them. Better characters with story (background story included) get more screen time than having a large cast.

If you want to keep an empty character, give them a role. 'Oh, I need a wise character who gives advice!' take a currently empty character and make them that!

I melt for this man so bad. Let me tell you that it was really fun to write in english but I felt it was equally hard! I've just found out that most of my english vocabulary is related to technical language (I am an electrical engineer) hahaha so it was really challenging to make it sound cute!

The flame Pilar was staring at his trainees at his state, secretly waiting for your arrival. He knew that every single evening, without a miss, you will pay him a visit with a great variety of reasons from which he fantasized to be mere excuses of, according to him, your failed attempts in trying to hide how much you earned to be alone with him.

Some minutes past the time of your usual arrival, started to make Kyojuro a little bit anxious. “Where you not planning to come today?” “Did something else pop up in your agenda?” His signature smile started to drop little by little but was suddenly replaced with a heart skip when he felt your embrace from behind, crossing your arms in front of his chest and resting your cheek in his right ear. “Y/N is that you?” asked the pillar placing one of his hands over yours and with his heart racing wildly. “Sorry for running a little late, had to do some errands and took me longer than expected” you answered curling closer to him.

Kyojuro smiled tenderly as he closed his eyes, memorizing your fragrance and the softness of your skin. He was literally melting in your arms, absolutely submitted to your touch. You took a deep breath and whispered softly, so quiet and sweet that Kyojuro will be the only one to hear you, after all, these words were only meant for him; “Kyo… I Love you”.

As his beautiful red and golden eyes widened, a gorgeous red tint flustered his entire face. Did he really hear that? Have you just confessed? This man was so madly in love with you since the first time he met you, he adored every single trait of you, your voice, your hair, your eyes, your body, especially the way you called his name.

And there you were, whispering the sweetest words of love. How many times had he dreamed of this moment? He was planning to confess very soon anyway, he wanted to be your protector, holding your hand under the rain, be the first person to greet you every morning and falling asleep with you curled up in his chest. And to kiss you, oh by the gods, he will trade anything and everything he possesses for being able to have a taste of your soft, plump and beautiful lips. How many times has he fantasized about them while talking with you? So many that he has lost count and that definitely, made him feel ashamed.

His chest growing warmer and wider at every second, pushed him to take the next step. Without releasing your hand, he turned to face you and lifted you from the floor placing both of his strong hands in your waist spinning around with you. And with the most charming smile you have ever seen in his handsome face, directly gazing at your eyes he claimed “Y/N, I am definitely the luckiest man alive… I love you too” .

With you back on the floor, he pulled you into the warmest and most protective hug you have ever received, cupping his face in your neck and caressing your back. Pulling a little apart, he cupped your cheek with his hand and tenderly asked; “May I kiss you?”. You blushed and as you nodded, he cupped your other cheek and gently leaned closer for touching your lips with his, the initial peck was soft but you went forward and deepened the contact by slightly biting his lower lip.

And as he released a soft moan, he placed his hands around your waist to get you closer to him. You had to break out the kiss since you were holding for dear breath. Looking at how agitated you were, Kyojuro snickered loudly, hugged you once more and showered your face with kisses.

He guided you inside his state grabbing your hand, it was about to be dinner time and he wanted to pamper you with the most delicious meal you have ever tasted. With the proudest smile he confessed;” I can’t wait to tell Senjuro!”. Your mind and heart were dizzy with so much happiness that you could only tell to yourself how much you loved this amazing man.
