I don’t know if I ever told this story on here but apparently when my mom was back in college one of her final exams was scheduled for the evening of the mash finale and a bunch of students complained and threw a fit until finally the professor was like “show of hands: how many of you are planning on skipping my exam to go watch mash?” And like a good 80% raised their hands and the prof was like “…and what if that meant you failed the entire course?” And apparently only a few students put their hands down so the guy had to reschedule the exam. Moral of the story: there’s power in numbers and also mash was and forever will be more important than statistical analysis

So the Chucky series has been cancelled…

I expected this and I’m not that surprised. I’m gonna be honest, I’m kinda relieved. I hated what canon did to most, if not all, of the characters. And I’ve been successfully gaslighting myself for ages that their canon isn’t real and my AUs that I’ve created here are actually canon.

The only thing I’m worried about is the fandom dying out and being left alone. I’ve met so many wonderful people in this fandom, it’s one of the good things the show brought to me. I love talking to y’all, to share my ideas with you and to hear your ideas as well. It would genuinely break my heart if I wasn’t able to do that anymore.

So please don’t leave the fandom and leave me all alone. I don’t have abandonment issues but…yes I do have a bit of abandonment issues, I just love you all so much and you guys feed into my delusional ideas—

I think Franziska getting shot in Farewell my Turnabout could actually still work really well without decentering her from the final case. Like how in Bridge to the Turnabout we first have the Miles vs Franzy investigation and trial before delving into the final trial with Phoenix and Godot.

You could have had Franzy getting shot on the first day of the trial in the court room (another crucial change ihmo), then have Miles take over for a day, show his development, reunion with Phoenix, relationship with Franziska, etc. and then have Franziska return for her own finale on day two of the trial. This would have helped a lot, structurally speaking, and had tons of narrative potential as well. Imagine the narrative tension when Franziska learns Maya's been kidnapped. What that alone would allow for her character arc and so on.
