hi I just want to talk about how awesome I think it is that Laurance uses a greatsword in MCD. you know, the emerald one he gets from Katelyn in late S1 and then uses in S2.

fantasy media tends to portray greatswords as thick, heavy fuck-off swords, and Laurance's certainly is one of those

but if you look at functional greatswords in real life (like the zweihander/montante/spadone) they can look very graceful. there's a lot of flowing, spinning arcs. you could do more precise, nimble movements with them too, they’re not that unwieldy

the fantasy greatsword is characteristic of Laurance because he's known for being a hothead, and the realistic greatsword is also intimidating while having an elegant kind of beauty in action. I think it's a great weapon for him :3

I think if you asked Whitney nicely, they'd be up for helping you dye your hair. They'd help you shop for the supplies, recommending certain brands over others, and (fondly) make fun of you for your color choice, no matter what it is. They're scolding you if you're not being careful with the bleach, helping you make sure you're getting every last strand of the part you wanted to dye. When the time comes for the final rinse, they'll hop in the shower with you, both for some fun and to help you get everything out. I think you might even be able to convince them to get a matching strand of hair, if you beg and "show your appreciation". If they do it, the next day of school, they'll be all blushy if you try to point it out to people.
