Yk what fuck it. Since I don't know how I'm gonna tackle that yet (I change my mind on it every 2 minutes) but I want to give my fav evil iteration of Gortash some love (and im already sorta unhinged today), bear with me as I talk about my plans ig(?) for le longfic that I'm still writing but currently struggling hard with lmao the second guessing is real.

Either way. FR lore informs us that using the Slayer does not come for free. If Bhaalspawn use it they in turn sacrifice some of their sanity/humanity. Aka with each attempt at using the Slayer they actively sacrifice something of what makes them them.

Now, my lovely little gremlin informs the tyrant of that. Of all the gore hidden beneath the golden facade. Because if anyone can understand him, it's his equal isn't it? Surely, he must understand the struggle in maintaining one's humanity. Ones sense of identity and ego. The occasional heretic wish to exist outside of being a chosen.

And Gortash does, to be fair. He's the chosen of tyranny, his plans involve usurping gods. Of course he understands. But well, he still is the chosen of Tyranny. And he is the inventor of the Steelwatch. He is the man who conducted human experiments to understand their psychology.

So he asks to see the Slayer anyway. Despite, or maybe even perhaps because he knows what it does. He demands to see that thing to satisfy his own curiosity, no matter the consequences. Especially not when it's not even him paying the price.

That's my flavour of Gortash. Someone without scruples. Someone who willingly sacrifices even his equal if it means he can satisfy his own curiosity. And yk ya can't even be mad at him for that cuz pls look at Elli, that man is neither safe nor sane and put Gortash thru it as well. And a bunch of innocents. They're so toxic I love em sm

KakuSaso - I love them dearly and like, I think they'd get along pretty well for the most part? When they fight it's gonna be Bad tho.  They both have that ‘Warning: Sharp when threatened’ that means their fights could go supernova sooooo easily.  My angst-loving heart swoons.

SasoHida - This is like, fav under wraps. I don't talk about this but pissy and pissier, what's not to love??  Debated so much about that OTP of all OTPs but ye.  Sadist extreme and the masochist that infuriates him, very good.  I’m a lil surprised I haven’t gone looking for fics of them before tbh, but now I’m daydeaming about them so that’s gonna have to change.

KisaHida - I have honestly never considered them? But I was sleeping on Kisame for a Long time before I saw the light. I know better now.  I think they’d be great buddies and, kind of like Kakuzu and Sasori, they’d get along pretty damn well romantically?  I don’t see a lot of conflict for them though, and I think they’d be much more able to come back together after an argument.  I think I need people to wax poetic about them more.

KisaKaku - This is what dreams are made of. My dreams. I'm dreaming of characters having long depressing talks about the meaning of betrayal and then not communicating about the fact that they'd never do that to each other.  They could be so tender to each other and that UST, tho.  Give me these two absolute tanks being gentle.

KakuHidaSaso - I love them like a lot? I legit don't know if I have a polyship I like more in this fandom? This bad boy can fit so much chaos in it.  I think people don’t think about them enough, but I’ve never seen anyone think about this ship and not create something glorious with them.  Kakuzu likes pretty things hellbent on murder, I guess.
