This will be even funnier if the Cobalt Soul has successfully hidden the fact that high-level monks understand all spoken language (they probably can’t hide the poison immunity; there has to be some legendarily embarrassing incident in Assembly vs. Cobalt Soul history in which a wizard attempted assassination and the monk was completely unaffected. This incident is taught as a deathly serious case study in vollstrucker classes. This incident is depicted via a humorous puppet show at the Cobalt Soul.)

Caleb realizes he should probably tell the clerics the full backstory, maybe fill in a couple finer details for Fjord and Yasha, angst ensues.

Eodwulf lore. The Astrid conversation was fascinating and I’d love to get more about here too, but like, what’s this guy’s deal. Like from his perspective he’s just a buff wizard assassin who was a third wheel during his teens, while also undergoing torture. And then the golden boy had a mental breakdown. Then despite a decade of being fully out of it, said boy broke out of the asylum and then he reappeared a few weeks ago and now the master is doing some fucking mind games? I mean sure Eodwulf is evil but he also probably just wants to have a chill night.

Funnier but more frustrating from a story perspective (therefore unlikely, but still: hilarious in concept), Caleb is like hey Lady DeRogna new plan what if we left uhhhh tomorrow evening oh I am terribly sorry Master Ikithon, I had prior arrangements, next time?

The Mighty Nein show up for the dinner party with a bottle of fine wine that Beau has carefully selected to be as insulting as possible in some obscure way that only a very intelligent and powerful person would even understand.

Caleb identifies Fjord’s ring and it’s still something really good but it’s not a ring of fire resistance at all. This is funnier if it happens after Fjord takes full fire damage.

Take Sam’s OOC joke seriously. Locked door mystery. Ikithon’s wizard tower. Everyone except Yasha makes their Zone of Truth saving throw.
