Joel: Do you want it so you can make one and ride a horse in the SINGULAR DIRECTION that isn't immediately blocked off by blummin' water!?

Bdubs: ...

Bdubs: ...I don’t want your dirty horse leather!!! I refuse - on moral principle!

Joel: Fair, you need all the high ground you can get-

Joel: Only if you count the hair, lad. It constitutes at least a third of your height.

Bdubs proceeds to make some kind of unintelligible grumble and starts punching the two cows you saw earlier, looks like he does want leather after all. 

As for you, while you would love to finish off the job you started, Bdubs did raise one good point: horses don’t drop food… begrudgingly you pause your equestrian extermination in favor of sheep slaughter.

However you don’t get that far on mutton mutilation before your communicator goes off a ton of times. You keep getting interrupted…

As Doc’s message goes off you lock eyes with Bdubs’ uncomfortably large ones. Those things are uncanny... Well, it looks like neither of you are paired with the cyborg goat man.

But since you two were so close to where he fell you decide to check up on (read: tease) one of the servers newest members after he made such a ruckus in chat.

It turns out his soulmate was right there at spawn, and it just happened to be the other newbie. What are the odds of that?

Bdubs: Pssht, what amateurs. Don't they know it's traditional to check soulmates with the ol' fashioned punch test?

I'm Not Ready (Super Sim Update)

I'm not ready for Dexter to die.

It's going to happen next time I play, probably. And to add to that, because I gave him a potion of youth the first time Stella took one, the oldest kids (Emma and Cade) are now also elders... who are going to die like two days after Dexter does. I think Dexter is going to die on New Year's Eve, too.

It works out for storytelling purposes, though. I'm almost done with a Drama degree, which will let me start the Internet Personality branch of the Social Media career at Level 8. By the time I finish that career, Dexter, Emma, and Cade will all be dead, and the twins (Kinsley and Tate) might even be elders by then. So maybe Stella, facing the loss of her soulmate and favorite child (and eventually her other children and everyone else she knows and loves), will turn to the occult (i.e., vampirism, since that's next) for solace. It writes itself!

On an unrelated note, I had a really weird glitch happen:

I turned this little lot into a paddock, to go with the equestrian center I placed on the larger lot next to it. I set the paddock to a Generic lot type. Then I got a phone call from the Watson family that they just moved into that lot and I should come visit. Um, you what? It's not a residential lot, so how did they move in? Also, when I went to the map, it showed up as a retail/business lot (hence the white diamond above it) that my sim owned?? It's just a Generic lot! No one can live there! No one can own it! When I tried to evict them, it said I had to sell the business, which I "did," but of course my household didn't receive any funds from that, because we don't own it.

So anyway, not much else to report. Just trying to help Dexter live his best life... while he's still got it.

•The Wild Huntress - This story is so poetic! It's like a whispering tale, I really would looove to draw some scenes of it. It's magical.

•Little Equestrian Academia - lovely! I really like to discover/learn about a field (sport, period in history, ...) through a fanfiction. The romance plot is great, and everything gravitating around it is fabulous, you get to know horses and equestrian world in general! Ending is sweet like a perfect love movie.

•Atlas - I love it so much. Soulmates/WWII AU. I cried in the train and made happy/sad faces while reading that. Fortunately, at that time, the mask was mandatory.

•Fusion Cuisine - A fabulous Cooking AU!! Diana is helping Akko managing her family restaurant, it's lovely! Can't wait for another update !! (Roooting for you author!)

•Reflections in the Water - LWA Piano Conservatory AU - Fabulous!! Love the plot and ideas, and author's music suggestions. I'm thirsty for the next chapter.

okay okay okay stop what you’re doing right now and go read this entire series. I mean it. drop everything and go binge read this series because it is utterly fantastic. every time I get an email from Ao3 with an update to this series I literally stop whatever I’m doing to go and read it immediately because it is THAT good. this series has everything! it’s funny, it’s sweet, it’s romantic, you’ve got some good hurt/comfort and a nice dose of angst that always has a happy ending. basically it’s about Zuko and Sokka being, as the title suggests, bisexual disasters in the Midwest as they fall in love and become important parts in each other’s lives -- featuring Zuko as an EMT, Sokka with a dog named Boomerang, the cutest cuddling ever and the most perfectly written Azula I’ve ever seen! (Rated T - M)

Sokka is a vet and has his meet cute moment when Zuko brings in his pet chicken Duckie and they both immediately get a crush on each other. this fic is seriously adorable and has a new sequel that is just as cute! features stressed out veterinarian Sokka, Zuko being referred to as “Hot Chicken Owner,” and equestrian doctor Jet setting them up in a bar (Rated T)

this fic is the sequel to the excellent and amazing hired where Zuko and Sokka are gay porn stars and are also dating. listen, if Zukka fanfic was a college course then the hired-verse would have to be on the required reading list because these two fics are absolutely phenomenal in every single way. honestly and truly fantastic. this one features post pizza and ice cream couch cuddles, Chan being completely oblivious to the fact that Zuko and Sokka are dating, and Zuko adorably sleeping on Sokka’s shoulder while he’s facetiming Hakoda (Rated E)

after I finished reading this fic, I had to lay down and stare at the ceiling for a bit cause I was so emotional over this fic. Zuko and Sokka’s anniversary is coming up and while the fic is mostly about what Sokka wants to do for Zuko, Zuko’s gift to Sokka was an emotional suckerpunch in the absolute best way possible - features Sokka’s love language being “being emotionally destroyed,” some of the most emotional poetry I’ve ever read, and Zuko’s reason for liking tattoos so much ripping my heart right out of my chest (Rated T)

I absolutely love this author’s work and I am completely obsessed with this probending au where Sokka decides to get into probending out of spite towards Azula and gets really into it while Zuko is absolutely terrified his boyfriend will get hurt. (Rated E)

A Different Kind of Jam Legacy Challenge for TS3

Honestly I just wanted to make another challenge that involved colors and had a theme but then it changed into something completely different so I thought I share. 

The Jam Legacy is a 9 generation legacy challenge based on fruits you can put into jams/jellies and has a specific color palette if you choose to go with it. Each generation is a quirky bunch and meant for some weird gameplay. So if you enjoy weird gameplay, nice fall colors, and maybe 9 generations of fun, this might be your jam.

prologue

One month in uni, you’d think you’d know your way around the place by now, but unfortunately for you, this was the third time you’ve passed the equestrian statue that stood in front of the grand concert hall and you start to realize that you were probably going in circles

without giving it much thought, you started to walk towards the marble statue, admiring every edge and curve. you’ve always had the sense of interest in the classic aesthetics; looking at the golden plaque, it read ‘Lee Taeyong’— you observed his face, it looked so perfectly sculpted, no human could’ve possibly existed looking like that, right?

as you were lost in your thoughts and have completely forgotten about where you were headed, the mellow sound of a piano being played, softly rang through your ears and like a lost puppy that just got a sniff of some treats, you followed it into the building

you slowly opened one of the doors which lead you to the back of the stage and roamed a bit until you ended up on the main stage, you peeked from behind the curtains and there.. there he sat in all his glory; actually you didn’t really know who he was as his back was facing you but as far you could tell, his hair was dark? his broad shoulders stood tall and he was definitely well-built, he didn’t look like someone you knew though

you were dazed by every single note he played and even felt a bit nostalgic hearing the song yet you just couldn’t quite figure out where you’ve heard it before

you stayed there for a good couple of minutes, just listening to him play and admiring his physique. you couldn’t leave even if you wanted to— your legs wouldn’t move; he just had a way of playing that made you want to listen to him forever.

and then he stopped- “I know you’re there, you can come out now” your eyes widened at the sudden statement

is he talking to me ??? and out of panic, you blurted out a quick “no, I’m not!”

he sighed and turned around, arms crossed on his chest. “Come out now, stalker, those curtains haven’t been cleaned in years” okay, so that’s why I’ve been trying to suppress probably ten sneezes for the past few minutes now

“How’d you know I was here?!”

“Why were you stalking me?”

“I wasn’t stalking you!”

“Really now? You’ve been staring at me play for the past 10 minutes behind those curtains, I’m pretty sure that’s called stalking, babe”

“I wasn’t stalking you, I was just- I was picking up my-“ you looked around for something and- “saxophone!”

you walked over to the sax and as you were picking it up he leaned his back on the piano with one of his brows raised “play something for me then”

“hmm?”

“You watched me play the piano, isn’t it only fair that you play for me too?”

“uh, I can’t- I uh don’t have my lucky socks on”

“what’s that got to do with anything?”

“well you know how it is with us musicians and our lucky socks haha”

He raised his brows, not feeding into a single grain of your obvious lie. “Okay fine but I’m a little rusty today”

He wasn’t fond of the lying but he did find it rather amusing how committed you were so he just lightly smiled and waited.

You wiped the mouthpiece, silently praying that whoever owns it doesn’t have herpes or something but you were committed now so there’s no going back.

“Do you have any song request?”

“Not really, just play whatever you want”

You thought for a short moment and the only song you knew that’s played on the sax is— Careless Whisper. You put your handkerchief over the mouthpiece because- hygiene, and started to play more like tried to but as soon as you blew your first note, you both knew you were done for.

He didn’t even let you finish the first verse before cutting you off “figures”

“someone probably messed with it, I have to reshape the holes and all that” reshape the holes??? huhhh y/n, what is wrong with you?

“mhmm”

he stood up and walked over to you then picked up the saxophone case from beside you, revealing the name of the owner “okay then miss.. Mark Lee, you’re very committed to your lie, I applaud that but unfortunately you’re quite bad at it”

“Why? What’s wrong with my name? You’re sexist? You don’t think girls can be named Mark? Is that it? Wow I didn’t expect that from someone who looks so-”

“Woah calm down, babe, I never said any of those things but what I am saying is that I’m friends with a little someone called Mark Lee who owns the exact same sax as yours so you tell me”

“uhh common name?” you laughed nervously but he gave you a stern look, telling you to just give it up but you brought this upon yourself so you just— bolted.

but it really wasn’t your day because before you could run, he stopped you in your tracks by putting both his arms on the wall behind you, trapping you between his arms

you didn’t get the chance to actually take a good look at him before but now, he’s only a few inches away from your face and you swore you couldn’t breathe.

he wasn’t bad looking at all. his hair was a bit long and some even fall on his brows, his eye color was dark as far as you could tell and he had those really pretty lashes that fluttered every time he blinked. his lips weren’t the fullest nor the thinnest yet they were dry and chapped. his face looks so softly sculpted but his striking eyes and sharp eyebrows contradicted his soft features. it wasn’t only his way with the piano that made you stay, he had this charm and beauty that can hold anyone captive— “you’re already falling in love with me, aren’t you?”

“what the- no!” you snapped out of whatever that was “I was just looking at your chapped lips, they’re so dry, I thought I was in the Sahara desert for second there”

“ouch! hurtful but true” he chuckled “doesn’t excuse the fact that you were daydreaming of me though”

you just wanted to get out of there so you bumped his forehead with your own and when he winced in pain and let his arms fall, you quickly ran out of there

you ran as quick as possible with some guys saxophone in hand which you didn’t realize you were still holding.

as soon as the music hall was out of sight, you settled down and thought about what you’re gonna do with this stolen sax;

are they gonna conduct a search for it? am I gonna be known as the sexy saxophone thief ?? wait, that dude saw me! well now he knows the face of the culprit, dumbass! noooo I’m too pretty to be jailed😭😭

you sighed and decided to just return it tomorrow and proceeded to go to where you were headed earlier. you checked your phone for the time and that whole shenanigans apparently took about half an hour and you were late for your study date.

30. One regret I have. As a joke, I like to say horsebackriding, but uh my greatest regret is my 6th to 7th grade year. Those two years were my regret. Everything about them.

44. My dream boy... okay let's begin. Brown or black hair, fluffy not a mullet though. Any colored eyes, fitted with muscle, smells good, preferably not a farm boy because I can see disagreements over practices, but a European equestrian is like 🥵🥵🥵. Especially if he is from spain. I don't know I like them on tiktok. I would hope he is Christian, because I am and if he wasn't that would be awkward, but you know if we are soulmates we be soulmates.

46. My bucketlist. I am a simple girl. I don't want to travel and the only thing I want to get is another horse.

I miss my horse and the general equestrian life so much it makes my heart ache, but I’m just not ready to be someone’s helper PR work with others horses for money yet. And buying my own is out of the question.

Being an equestrian was my whole life, the one thing I could always do, where I had friends when I was bullied all through elementary and middle school, my escape from my chronically sick life, it was where I had so much of my social network as a grown up, and having lost it all kills me.

But most of all, I miss my soulmate. I will never be over her sudden and brutal death. And way too soon. I can’t believe we only got 8 years together, we were gonna have forever.
