One of my biggest nitpicks in fiction concerns the feeding of babies. Mothers dying during/shortly after childbirth or the baby being separated form the mother shortly after birth is pretty common in fiction. It is/was also common enough in real life, which is why I think a lot of writers/readers don't think too hard about this. however. Historically, the only reason the vast majority of babies survived being separated from their mother was because there was at least one other woman around to breastfeed them. Before modern formula, yes, people did use other substitutes, but they were rarely, if ever, nutritionally sufficient.

Newborns can't eat adult food. They can't really survive on animal milk. If your story takes place in a world before/without formula, a baby separated from its mother is going to either be nursed by someone else, or starve.

It doesn't have to be a huge plot point, but idk at least don't explicitly describe the situation as excluding the possibility of a wetnurse. "The father or the great grandmother or the neighbor man or the older sibling took and raised the baby completely alone in a cave for a year." Nope. That baby is dead I'm sorry. "The baby was kidnapped shortly after birth by a wizard and hidden away in a secret tower" um quick question was the wizard lactating? "The mother refused to see or touch her child after birth so the baby was left to the care of the ailing grandfather" the grandfather who made the necessary arrangements with women in the neighborhood, right? right? OR THAT GREAT OFFENDER "A newborn baby was left on the doorstep and they brought it in and took care of it no issues" What Are You Going to Feed That Baby. Hello?

Like. It's not impossible, but arrangements are going to have to be made. There are some logistics.

I was crying from pain at the emergency room and the nurses were bitching about me not dying so they couldn’t help right away even if I kept passing out and had been there for a long time, this sweet old Russian lady who was also admitted since earlier stood up and walked next to me and kept comforting me and asking how I was holding up, she kept checking in on me and being so sweet and going around asking if everyone was doing ok or just distracting family members of patients with nice conversations. She called out the doctors and nurses for not caring, she sat next to me and kept making sure I was ok and then gave me her phone number when she got discharged so I’d follow up with her. Honestly my day coulda been hell today but this one lady made it so bearable it’s not going to be remembered as a bad horrible traumatizing time, I got to meet an actual angel and I’m so happy about it.

gojo is literally so clingy in the mornings, he will pull you back into bed once you try to get up. he will bury his face in the crook of your neck, murmuring that it’s too early. and he’ll make you stay there for an extra hour just cuddling if he can (and it doesn’t help when you feel a bulge rub against your ass).

geto isn’t clingy in the same way gojo is. instead he tends to settle for touches, but it’s all the time — an arm around your waist, a kiss to your forehead, laced fingers, a leg thrown over his, a hand resting on your thigh. even in the mornings, if you wake before him, he finds his way to you and wraps his arms around you, fingers taking over your task as he’s content just having his arms around you.

I finished my second quilt! It's for my grandma :)

Like the first quilt I made, I just used charm packs - bundles of pre-cut fabric squares with patterns that go well together.

I used two charm packs (5" squares, not 10") from Fat Quarter Shop. Would recommend! Not expensive, lots of pretty packs, and fast shipping. The light blue and light maroon border and back are just whatever Joann printed cottons, and the binding is plain black cotton.

Using charm packs definitely made this project pretty easy. Just arrange the squares in a pretty pattern and sew them together (well, there are smart ways of doing that, and owning an iron is highly recommended, but whatever). I hand-sewed the binding this time. It was actually way easier and faster than I thought it would be.

Ace drives like a madman and gets the worst road rage during traffic

I can't decide if Sabo would side with ace and be equally pissed at other cars or be holding onto the seatbelt for dear life

And them responding with varying degrees of "dope", "good luck", and "HES BREAKING SO MANY LAWS RN WTH???"

Ace driving is nothing compared to Sabo though, he has a very specific brand of road rage

One car cuts him off once and Sabo Will find every single opening available to cut that car off and inconvenience them for as long as they share the same route

Weeks later he sees that car at a gas station and he stares at them with his big eyes and just goes "you mother fucker you cut me off on my way to work"

The strawhats make a mental note to never let Luffy drive if his brothers are the one teaching him to drive
