I'm on copium mode for Knights event (bc I'm broke and only have like 400 dias (thanks Leo)), so I decided to look through my spreadsheets to see the shortest break between events for each unit, because surely we wouldn't have a Knights event now, right, haha Izumi's event was so recent.

And uh. The shortest break so far has been 5 events between each unit event (there's 5 events between Fragrance and Sudden Death (for Knights), 5 events between Secret Service and Jun's center (for Eden), and 5 events between Sandstorm and Adonis's center (for Undead)).

It has already been 7 events since Mad Party.

This is absolutely copium, but god I hope that the new protag isn't meant to replace Tatsuya and is instead like his son or nephew. (Katsuya's son maybe?)

New girl's name is Suwa Arai. I know a lot of people are comparing her to Ryuji, Ann and Chie, but ngl she also has really big Lisa vibes. Which can also be pushed with the protag looking so much like Tatsuya.

Owl is named Luffy and I already love him. Love the mecha Persona so much, but I know I'm never gonna be able to draw it aaaaaa- Also feels very P2 when thinking about Tatsuya and Jun's Personas and how they're more mechanical.

New Velvet Room Attendant's name is Merope. Finally an Attendant design I love and it's put in a fucking gacha game T_T. Also I don't think she's related to Margaret, Elizabeth, Theodore or Lavenza because of her design. Especially since she doesn't have the golden eyes. She might be like Marie??

Actually since this might be a pattern of this game reflecting Persona 2, Merope might be like The Demon Painter. Human from Tokyo now serves lives and serves in the Velvet Room for Igor. Idk, I think it's more probable that's she'll have a similar vibe Marie or just have something completely different from previous residents/attendants.

And since I'm drawing so much of this from P2, maybe Philemon can finally return?? Please, I need a new design for him.

maybe you've talked about this before. but i'm actually a bit, well, disappointed bc we haven't seen anything about asuka being involved in the story mode. considering she supposedly had the kazama powers before, isn't it weird how they're placing lili front and center instead of one of the kazama family members??? this might be copium but could it be that they're saving that for the release? it's just very questionable. we have heihachi's 4th? child? as a newcomer, getting a role in the story and asuka is like….crickets... i wonder if this is due to her being a jun "replacement" originally or if they just don't want to deal with her

YEAH. i'm unsure how many times i've mentioned it here? i've brought it up as jokes a couple times on my other blog. but i am too. i find it bizarre that we've seen lili seeming to have story relevance at least a couple of times? just because, no offense to the character, but lili's story has been being upset that the zaibatsu took her father's oil company, and bugging asuka. i just don't see why the writers would consider it more important to utilize that character and not a kazama. you know... the whole game that's focusing harder on the mishima-kazama family, and it's supposedly gonna explain the use of the kazama powers. also in a war against a demon, wouldn't it be important to have not one, but two demon neutralizers? maybe three if jun's actually alive and in the real world. like kazuya gets so powerful, that even after learning of his power, jin's not enough to take him down - cue asuka and jun helping him with that. then once kazuya's devil gene is neutralized, they both step back and cue final fight between father and son.

hell, looks like all the newcomers are gonna have fair sized roles in the story. even azucena, who i was confused as to why she'd be in the story, is apparently a villain lol. i just don't understand the lack of asuka. i don't think they're saving it for release. why would they be? after all, i think reina's involvement, and jin potentially using the ability, are both bigger plot points than asuka's involvement and they showed all that already. i'm actually losing a lot of hope for her to be in the story. and... i'm ngl, it's actually killing my interest in her as a character, too.

i just REALLY don't understand why they wouldn't include her. iirc, i think she's fairly popular among fans, even if just for fanservice reasons. but lili is also popular, and literally for the same reasons (fanservice/yuri bait). i feel there's a lot to do with asuka in the story. she's still bitter about feng, she can get to really learn about and bond with her cousin, she can meet her aunt who tells her about the power she has within, as a 'vigilante' - of course she'd be interested in stopping kazuya and bringing back peace. there's also other things, maybe she can mature more in this story and learn to be more humble? get some character development? but no. crickets indeed.

MAYBE she'll have some involvement. but... at this point, i am starting to doubt it. i feel like we would've seen her somewhere already. and the decision to leave her out, or mostly out, will continue to baffle me.
