I love getting people mad by talking about how a person who has been dead for a couple decades was probably gay in some way.

They’re like, “you can’t say that!”

And I’m like, “What, do you want me to wait until a century after his death has passed? Is it too soon to say that he was gay because you see me calling him queer as a joke? As disrespectful to him and his family? Now why would you think that being queer is disrespectful to one’s existence? Why do you associate being queer with no longer loving one’s family? But still, no no no, you don’t even want me to wait to say he’s gay; you want me to never say it. You want me to play straight historian. Instagram is so annoying with the recommendations. It doesn't know if I'm a man or a woman or neither so every week is a surprise with what it wants to show me
