ngl, since i started posting drabbles, I've been keenly feeling this. I crave interaction. I crave reblogs and tags and comments and feedback and asks and dms. I try to tag properly, i keep the master list updated and always add the master list link at the end of my posts and i post my installments to discord servers and friends and.... well. Its hard to be patient when im excited to share what i've written. Especially since I'm always worried about the canon character portrayals.

No one reblogs on tumblr anymore.

No one leaves comments on Ao3 anymore.

Seriously people the lack of fandom interaction these days makes me genuinely depressed, it never used to be like this, makes me wonder what's the point of coming online to do anything anymore.

Reblog a post so other people can see it.

Leave a comment so the author doesn't feel like giving up.

Fandom cannot live on Likes or Kudos alone.

Apparently much-needed reminder that reposting artists' art (by saving the images or screenshotting them and reuploading them yourself) on other platforms without the artists' expressed permission and without credit is theft and an insult to their passion and craft. You are profiting (in views, in attention, in feedback) from someone else's work and ideas, who do not get that feedback for sharing their creation.

If you are an art reposter, you are a thief and I have no respect for you.

However, I can imagine slugcats celebrating some kind of holiday, probably based on the movement of celestial bodies, or seasons, perhaps a remembrance day dedicated to ancestors, or a local deity. You won't see organized religion in my AU, but spirituality does play a role in this universe.

One of these days I want to come up with a set of base concepts for things like... time, science, system of measurements, writing and literature, tropes, folklore, and so on. I'll admit it's not my forte, I like to think I excel at character interactions, depicting the raw emotion that feels believable. Inventing lore is a lot of work, but I have seen fellow RW fans come up with very compelling ideas for stuff like language, for example. I'm hoping to use some of that in my work, should the artist(s) give me permission. Fingers crossed!
