🚨ANNOUNCEMENT!🚨

This is the first weekly smiles!! On our Tumblr account!! I'm sure your all excited just as much as I am! But I'll give some background information for those of you who might not know what happened!

On August 1st I came on Instagram and saw a screen pop up saying "We have suspended your Instagram account " I worried do an appeal I put in all my information yada yada and Instagram Refused the appeal and our Instagram account got deleted.. fun now we're going to back up a few months! I started a thing called Weekly Smiles, where I share my week and what made me smile that week (pretty self-explanatory), and after many weeks, I had gotten up to 35 before the account got deleted, and since then, I've been filled with rage that all my hard work has gone down in the drain. It's not fun, but I have accepted it as a challenge to make it to even more weeks that I can write down! And share with all of y'all on Tumblr. I'm not even sure if Tumblr is popular, but I'm willing as this is the only app I can share my thoughts without the haunting thought of my account getting deleted. So this is the first week out of 35! We can do this! Now I'll let you get on to your reading! By!

What made me smile this week?

Monday, 7/29/24 - today, we sadly had a dentist appointment which sucked, but the people there were nice! We had fun conversations about literally everything! I hated the Fluoride but survived! We also got a different X-ray, and it was cool, but sadly, we still had to get the side X-rays, which they could do, but it was certainly uncomfortable! We then laughed a bunch later on and Donny got a jackpot!!! (100,000)! Made me smile!

Tuesday, 7/30/24 - today, we heard our dad yelling since Moxie peed all over the couch, and he got fed up, but hey, we woke up early and just did laundry. We have been laughing while playing with Snapchat filters, and big Donny got a new high score of 30 million!! Super proud and it made me smile!

Wednesday, 7/31/24 - we found a new take called Animal Warfare!! I've been playing this the whole day, and it's been a blast. It made me smile! And we also got woken up to our dad yelling and cussing again, sadly, because Moxie peed all over him, his pillows, and the couch, which sucks, and it didn't make us smile..but we are finding good out of today!

Thursday, 8/1/24 - we started the day off doing dishes, and then our whole Instagram account got deleted, which sucks a$$. But we were laughing earlier and had yummy pigs in a blanket! It made me smile, but I also cried today, so not much. We have created a Tumblr and cannot wait for the first weekly smiles to come out! And the fact that there's a way bigger word limit makes me smile! As I can write longer weekly smiles!

Friday, 8/2/24 - Hello everyone! I want to tell you all about the senior sunset that we went to today! At the beginning of the event, we had a little bit of rain and lighting, so we needed to seek shelter in the beginning. When the rain settled down, we went to a sweet arrangement of sweet treats! We got a lot of yummy food and treats *as shown in the pictures!* Later on, we got real food, lol, and got a slice of pizza, or at least Sydney and Willam (my friends), and I just got a Gatorade! We had a fun time, and then we headed down to the funner area where the bracelets were originally 10$, but they had a deal, and they were only 5$! We had a blast seeing Mrs. Faircloth getting dunked! And going inside a bounce house, of course, Matthew did since I obviously cannot walk! Lol, we chilled out for a bit, Got a Mountain Dew, and watched the soccer players play a cool soccer game! *As shown on video* we then chilled until our ride arrived, and we went home around 11:00. We had a blast, and it was an amazing event! And it made us smile indeed!

Saturday 8/3/24 - today is two days before our birthday!!! We got a cool birthday card that contained 20$, and then we got to order Burger King (don't hate us Burger King haters). We got a Whopper, a large Dr pepper, a Large Fry, and an Oreo milkshake and tried a new drink called Fiery Pink Sprite thing. It wasn't the best but it also wasn't bad either. We watched the movie “Lisa's Frankenstein”. We couldn't watch the rest since it was a little bit inappropriate but we did enjoy part of the movie we could watch :) we sat and chilled and ate the rest of our food and sang! We had a blast today and it made me smile!

Sunday, 8/4/24 - IT'S A DAY BEFORE OUR BIRTHDAY 🎂!!! I'm so excited and cannot wait for more birthday festivities to begin!! I woke up at 5:38 Am which is weird since I never wake up that early! But I just watched reels and had a fun time just laughing with friends. So far, it has been a pretty good day! And it made me smile

It has been an intense past few days. On Thursday naya didn’t seem to be doing too well but I figured she’d be able to go to school. She coughed all night however and on Friday she was in bad shape. We kept her home and she spiked a pretty bad fever. Like 104. The following night Jason slept w her and she spiked a 105 fever. I was starting to get worried she might have a febrile seizure. Thankfully she didn’t. Or at least I didn’t notice any. Sadly Jason had to miss Rowan’s birthday party so that he could stay home and watch naya. And I went to my brother’s party with Dani (as originally planned). We had a nice time at the party but by the time we came home naya was asleep and seemed really bad. I felt like Jason and I really calmed down as parents though because before he would have taken her to the er by that point for sure. We started to throw ice packs and wet towels on her to try to cool her down. We also plied her with tons and tons of medicine. To the point where she started to cry when we told her to take medicine. Which is a 180 from her usual self because usually she wants to take medicine even if she’s not sick. She just likes the flavor. Thankfully the next day she finally seemed okay. So we were able to take her to Heras babt shower. Everyone seemed to have a good time and Dani had started coughing but it was manageable. She was still energetic. Then today (Monday) hera came over to hang out (and she brought in n out. God bless her) and helped me watched the kids. Everyone seemed fine but Dani started coughing a lot more. And she spiked a fever too. So we gave her medicine. At one point I left the girls with Maria so I could try to write a little bit but naya comes in and tells me that dani is sleeping. I come and she seems flush and like really bad. Her head was resting on Maria’s leg and then Maria tells me Dani’s arm was shaking weirdly. I picked Dani up and felt her head and it was hot. I wanted to go get a wet towel so I set Dani down on the couch and she started to throw up. I grabbed her and took her to the sink but she thankfully just had that one burst and thst was it. Then she almost instantly fell asleep. I searched online and it said thst febrile seizures are usually fine unless they’re accompanied by vomiting or sudden sleepiness. I was like oh crap so I called Kaiser to try to talk to someone but everyone was busy so I had to wait for a call back In an hour. During that time Dani went in and out of sleep. And she was not feeling well but at least she was complaining and actually having enough energy to cry out. It was worse when she was listless w no energy. I talked to a nurse and she said she seemed ok to monitor at home. Dani’s fever also seemed to break. Hopefully it’s one of those 24 hour things and she’ll be ok tomorrow but if it’s like naya this may last a few more days. My poor babies. Also now I’m starting to feel a little sick lol.

—whenever one of you is listening to music, you always share earbuds (or at least offer). you have a shit ton of playlists for situations (bus rides with loser, people in class won’t stfu and we have to act like we care¿?, bored asf) etc. it’s also customary for you to have at least one song rec for each other a day.

—bro this motherfucker has bit you before? how odd.

—he really, really loves to talk. so no matter how talkative or how quiet you are, you two are constantly interrupting each other and it always makes him laugh.

—denki has no idea what to do when it comes to relationships. not one thought is running through that mans head and it shows. when you two first get together, he has genuinely no idea what to say. he’s smooth and casual when he’s not thinking about it, but the second he processes the fact he’s your boyfriend and he’s supposed to be boy friendly, he’s clueless.

—he literally quotes romance movies to try to sound cool. it’s so bad. he sounds awful. it’s horrible. it’s ugly. please, kaminari, i’m begging you. be quiet. it’s kinda cute tho tbfh

—also! he gets so flustered. he would never show you but like when you send a text that’s even remotely romantic he’s done for. that one video of the girl holding her phone to her chest and kicking the bed? that’s him tbh

—after every fight, near miss, or villain encounter all he ever wants to do is spend time with you. even if you’re both just sitting there silently, it calms him down so much.

—speaking of, he freaks out really easily. and he finds so much comfort in you. and he wants to do the same for you. he has a list of things he knows make you feel better. be like that for him or ur a fucking loser

—you’re a big motivator in his training. after all the shit he’s seen, he’s got a lot of valid fear and trauma. so he doesn’t want you to ever have to go through that type of thing, even if you were training to be a hero. he wants to be able to protect you, so he pushes himself super hard to learn how to channel his electricity.

—did you know kaminari skateboards? well, he does! and he is itching to teach you. you two love to go to this little park at night, only lit by street lights and the city. his hands are on your waist as you wobble on the board and he’s laughing at you. teaches you about footing and all the terms (“i’m not gonna be dating anyone who stands goofy, you hear me?” clearly he doesn’t actually give a shit.). once you’re pretty good, he buys you a board as a gift.

—denki is a pretty chill dude. he doesn’t get offended much and when he does he’s never really angry about it. but if someone even looks at you wrong he’s laughing almost politely and flicking his wrist back and commenting some snarky insult about that person not really to them but definitely loud enough for them to hear.

—he sneaks into your room every night to fall asleep with you. you fake being annoyed when he comes in and runs his mouth for fifteen minutes, but you don’t actually care. kaminari sleeps with his head covered in pillows, so i imagine he shoves his head into your neck or back, and wraps his arm completely around you once he actually falls asleep. very cuddly dude. once you complained about how it was too hot at night because of him, and instead of letting up he bought you a 75 dollar desk top power fan and told you problem solved.

—movie nights every thursday. you tried to argue it should be saturday for months, talking about sleep schedules and responsibilities the next morning but he does not care. it’s thursday’s, you will enjoy it. srz

—he unironically wants you guys to get one of those big shirts you can both wear. every time a birthday or holiday or anniversary comes up and you ask what he wants, he tells you that shirt. he begs for you to wear one with him. one time he was sobbing over something completely irrelevant and you asked him if there was anything that would make him feel better and through tears he said “big couple shirt” and cried harder when you said no.

—he wakes you up with a shitty pickup line every single morning. sometimes he looks them up, sometimes he makes up shitty ones specific to you.

—you two have matching bracelets. you made them together one night, he bought a bunch of beads and shit and insisted that you make them. he made yours, you made his. so yea basically you walk around with a shitty yellow and black bracelet that says denki (self projecting as i literally wear that bracelet right now)

—no matter where he is, he always makes sure a spot next to him is available for you, just incase you show up. he wants you to feel included and even if he’s silent about it, he makes sure you’re always comfortable.

—he makes you recreate funny couples photos all the time. like the reaction meme looking ones. his favorite (which is also his lock screen and his profile picture) is the one with that couple making out on the fence and the girls holding the guy up lol. also loves to take really uncomfortable ones that look like posed white people family photos and you’re both just doing thumbs up and standing too far away from each other.

—y’all are so funny for real. like constantly laughing, always having fun, just so comfortable?? such a good relationship i’m ngl would die for it

—he gets a star projector and makes you stare at it with him for hours. for the first thirty minutes he aggressively shushes you if you try to say anything. loves it.

—he’s really good at balancing being a good friend / conversationalist / person to be around and being affectionate. he’s pretty good at gauging what you need when you need it. he’s such a good boyfriend yea <33

Update: school has messed up my sleep schedule. And they can’t be doing that to me. I’m 29, I can’t bounce back like I use to when I was younger with little sleep. Lol I get grumpy and cranky 😂 also my roommates birthday is today, and she turned 21. 😅 and they were listening to 2000’s music and said it was classics. And that made me feel ancient for sure. lol even thought 29 isn’t even old. But man that made me feel it for sure!

Oh also I saw you’re bi?! Me too! And when I came out to my parents, my mom was totally cool with it. She seriously said “that’s nice sweetheart, but what do you want for lunch and I still love you no matter what.” She’s an angel. But I almost killed my dad. He’s not a fan of being gay and everything. So when I came out to him, I was so nervous we would get into an argument so I hurried and told him “ hey dad, I’m bi.. anyways, Jurassic park is on” and I didn’t look at him when I said that, so I had no idea he was taking a bite out of his sandwich and he starts choking. Like legit choking. I almost had to go give him the Heimlich! I was freaking out thinking if he died the news would be like “bisexual killed dad for liking both genders” and yeah. It was a bit chaotic.

Hi cherry!!! Ahhh I'm doing MUCH better thankfully! Just getting into a new routine is hard for me and everyone in the house. Honestly I'm so excited for the weekend because we don't have to get up 🤣 I suffer from pretty severe depression and anxiety and sometimes I just really get in my head about things but thankfully I've been able to accomplish stuff this week so I've been in a MUCH better mood 🥰

Ok I feel the bounce back thing 😅 I'm 33 and a nightowl. So lile getting me up before 9am is hard. Unfortunately when you have kids who ride a bus, you need to get up at 6am 😫 so I'm just over here being the whole cast of the walking dead. My oldest kiddo asked me if he could make my coffee in the morning and I'm like "😐😑 sounds suspicious what do you want?" 😅

Also, oh to be 21 again!! I sometimes miss those days when I'd go out every thursday-saturday drinking. Like I'm pretty sure my iunity is so strong from all the UV I use to drink 😫

Kozume Kenma and the world-renowned gaming streamer Kodzuken were two very different people. While both more reserved and had colorful language, you could tell there was a barrier between Kenma’s on and off screen lives.

Kenma was your favorite gamer boy, as much as you teased him about getting off the switch and going outside. He wore the cat-ear headphones you got him for his birthday as a gag gift and waited for Kuroo’s weekly check in call every Thursday afternoon. Even changed his streaming schedule so that he and his friend had more than twenty minutes to talk. He was a quiet person, but had a certain soft and romantic side to him that you loved.

Kodzuken, on the other hand, was a very different person entirely. He was more secretive about his private life, leaving the privacy of his friends and family up to them. You weren’t one for being super popular on social media, so you weren’t on Kenma’s streams very often. Actually, you were pretty sure you’d never actually been on a stream. Not that you couldn’t be, you just tended to leave him alone when he was live.

There was a lot of speculation and questions buzzing about on his Tumblr tag when someone noticed the engagement ring on his finger. The two of you laughed about it, going through the posts about his secret significant other. You agreed you would get on his stream one day, just to introduce yourself, but you didn’t know when that day would be.

Today, however, you felt particularly clingy and cold. He was on a stream, promising to get to the end of the game he’d been playing for weeks now, and you already had to eat dinner without him. Now it was getting late into the evening and you wanted to cuddle.

What better way to introduce yourself was there?

You knew better than to surprise him when he was in the middle of a round, but it was also the best time to walk into the room unnoticed. He was so deep into his computer he paid no attention to the door slowly creaking open and you walking in.

You stood just out of frame of the camera, watching him play. You loved watching the games he played, but your favorite part of video games with him was watching him. On a day to day basis, Kenma was a pretty reserved guy, but the one thing you could get him fired up about was his video games. He was so passionate about it (that and his apple pie) and you loved the way his eyes lit up from more than just the screen.

He beat the battle he was on and got to a cutscene. You noticed he was about to start talking about the fight but paused and smiled at you.

“I was going to surprise you,” you teased. “You have room for a player two?”

“It’s a one-player game, babe, I’m sorry…”

You glanced at the screen in front of him that monitored his stream and the comments were blowing up. Everyone was desperate to know who this mystery person was. You saw comment after comment come in, most asking questions, some gushing about the fact that he called you babe, and others spamming of heart emojis.

“Then make room,” you teased, walking into view of the camera. You sat sideways across his lap, laying your head on his shoulder so you could see the screen.

He smirked, turning back to the camera. “Alright, then--I wasn’t expecting to do this tonight but everyone, this is my fiance, (L/N) (Y/N). Say hi, I guess.”

“Hi, everyone, I’m the reason your favorite streamer actually gets his butt off his game and gets eight hours of sleep so he can function in the morning,” you remark, then leaning up to kiss his cheek. “Go back to playing. I was just cold.”

He hummed in reply, leaning forward slightly to read the comments. “Alright, alright, guys, save your questions—I’m gonna make a post on Twitter tomorrow about a Q&A so you guys can ask stuff now that they’re here. Let’s finish this game tonight though, yeah?”

He went back to playing soon after, as he normally would, but this time you were curled up comfortably in his lap. Between fights and during cutscenes, you noticed he relaxed against you. He sometimes put his chin on top of your head, pulling one of his arms away from his computer so he could hug you. You smiled, dropping little kisses on his cheek.

As time went on, you started getting more tired, but had no interest in leaving. You eyelids felt heavier the longer you stayed there, comfortable against your fiancé.

“Go to sleep, darling,” he mumbled to you, kissing the top of your head between rounds. “I’ll get you in bed in a bit. I love you.”

You hum, curling in a little closer to him. “Love you too, Kenma,” you reply, feeling a little laughter bubble up in his chest. “Hm?”

“You’re popular,” he replied. “We really have to do that Q&A when you’re up for it.”

“Sleep first, questions later.”

“Everyone says goodnight and sweet dreams.”

“Tell everyone goodnight then for me.”

He only smiled slightly, kissing your temple. “Goodnight, (Y/N).”

hooooo my fucking god I don't know why but recently my anxiety/sence of dread has SKYROCKETED in the last 3 days, I haven't been sleeping great and last night I had an anxiety dream about manning the register at work. idk I guess today was fine but im so fucking overstimulated I guess?? I seriously just dont fuking know. but anyway here’s a summary of some days that I may or may not remember. putting it under the cut

Wednesday I was exited to work, they didn’t need me, I hung out with my friends at their outdoor band concert and had boba and it got super cold out

Thursday I went with my dad to drop off a car, then we had breakfast together at a little restaurant I had never been to before. He told me about his childhood n stuff. Then I went to work and priced things outside and felt good about helping some people buy plants even tho I didn’t know exactly what I was doing and ended up handing them off to Becky anyway. Got off work, came home, hung out waiting to be able to go visit my friend but she took a while so dad and I made the snack he had a lot as a kid which was just handmade chocolate frosting on graham crackers. Eventually my friend got home so I grabbed one of those graham crackers in some Tupperware and some other stuff and headed out. It was a longer drive than I was expecting but eh whatever, I got there no problem with a bunch of dad’s shit in the back of the car. We had awkward hellos in her apartment and I pet her fat ass cat until she suggested we go thrifting and oh my god I had never wanted to go thrifting more in my life than right then. I had one of those moments where I realized oh I’m an adult who can go out and just DO things :D so we walked around and gossiped in goodwil and had a great time until they closed, whereupon steph frantically looked for anything that was open near us while I drove around. We settled on going to a little park nearby, where we climbed on the tube with holes on it and swung on the swings. Then we walked around a dense tree/brush like and into the middle of a field, having our main character moments as we walked to the top of a hill with a cross on it. I took a picture of the sunset and a selfie with both of us before we walked back through the field and drove back to her apartment. I gave her 2 tiny flower jars and she let me borrow her container of earring hardware and a bunch of different tiny things to make into earrings. I had a great time and I’d love to hang out again, maybe when everything isn’t closed lmao. We joked a lot about understanding why people do drugs lmao since there’s nothing else to do! everything’s closed!! Also some joke flirting mixed in for flavor. We have an excuse to hang out again so I can return her earring supplies and she can return my Tupperware lol. I thought my phone was going to die on the way home before I realized there was a charging cord in the car! Nice. Got home, watched my friend stream plasmaphobia for a bit while I finished a birthday gift, and hung out and slept when she quit streaming. 

Friend’s birthday party day!! Also dad moving day!! The first task of the day was to drive with my dad down to the nearest uhaul to pick up a big ol’ truck, and follow him home in the car while he lead the way in the truck. Then we brought his car full of shit to the apartment, got his key and paid his first month, and looked through everything to do inspection. Tbh it’s a pretty nice apartment, I’d love to spend some time there once it’s a bit more furnished. My favorite part is a Harry Potter style hidey hole closet that’s meant for storage, but it’s the perfect size for a secluded hangout spot for me. I’ll totally let him use it for storage if he wants, I just like sitting in there. I joked that I would let Emily hang out in the spare bedroom and I could get the tiny room. But we spent time cleaning and looking around and bringing in boxes before dad sent me to pick up lunch, my sister, and another car load of boxes. I left to do all 3 and came back with Mcallisters, and we all sat on the floor and ate together. A very nice way to break in a new apartment. We brought in boxes and dad sent us on a quest to pick up a car part and drop it off where the car we dropped off the day before. We got there just fine, but getting to the second location was a nightmare because of all my wrong turns and u turns and no left turns, it was awful. I mean we got there eventually but still. By then it was time for me to get home so I could wash my hair and get ready for the party!! I got everything ready, but my sister wouldn’t be home with the car on time, so I just took my mom’s van. I was on time for once!! But in exchange I didn’t realize I had forgotten Cassidy’s gift until I was like 3 minutes away. But also I found driving my moms van very easy compared to last time I tried to drive it, and I think I’m a much more confident driver now :) but I was one of the first to arrive, accidentally twinned with cass, waited for everyone to show up, met her new dog, and then we all packed up the picnic basket and walked to the top of a hill to have our little sandwiches and play cards against humanity. On the walk there we passed by a park where little kids were asking why we were all dressed up if it wasn’t Halloween, so I shouted at them that it was her birthday and handed them the branch I was carrying. We played CAH on the hill and ate little sandwiches and meatballs and drank sparkling juice and had a lovely time, and when we were done, we walked back to her house where there was pizza and we all changed out of our formal wear. My bra was sewed into my dress with 6 stitches, so I grabbed some scissors and flashed my friend’s cat as I cut my bra free of the dress because I forgot to bring an extra. I changed into my ghostbusters shirt and snake onesie and joined everyone outside for pizza and lots and lots of stories and ice cream cake and gossip and quiplash and balloons and gifts and CAH and friends leaving and new friends arriving and more quiplash and then the grass getting cold and wet and going ham on keeping the balloons up and then playing that’s what she said (basically CAH but ✨for women ✨) and by this time there was a dude I didn’t know but he was very nice and cute and already taken. Tbh I didn’t know half the people there, there was a group of 4 cool alt people I had never met and then the 4 band kids I already knew but everyone else seemed to know each other and they all had great energy so I yelled a lot and joked a ton and had an amazing time. As the crowd dwindled and the night got cooler, I helped put things away before I left so I could be a nice guest, said my goodbyes, gathered my things, and drove home past midnight. Ask walked around the house turning off lights like my mom asked, I realized that my dad wouldn’t be sleeping here anymore, and I felt bad that he had to spend the night all alone in his new apartment :( and this is going to be a huge financial burden that idk if he can afford, rent for the apartment is almost as much as my mom pays for the house. Jejdjgjt this is all a mess and I would like to go back to ignoring it all <3 Listened to a lot of two trucks by lemon demon lmao

Hoo boy howdy I did a lot of shit today. Basically as soon as I woke up I got a text from dad about us helping him move with a promise of donut holes and a fruit platter. I walked out to the garage to find our family friends the drakes helping to move boxes, so we all spent several hours loading boxes into our cars and driving back and forth from the house to the apartment, with emily and I avoiding the drakes as much as possible lmao. When we had moved as much as we could in the car, we started loading up the uhaul, shoving as much shit in there as possible so we only had to do one trip there and back. Partially through unloading the truck the drakes stopped cleaning things before we brought them in left and some randos from dad’s work came to help unload and somewhere in the middle of all this our aunt and uncle and her service dog came to visit?? Bruh idk so much stuff happened. Emily asked me to take her home so she could work on school stuff and we put things back into the garage and I went back to the apartment to help with stuff and hang out with my aunt while my dad and uncle returned the truck. We made a list of stuff I might need for college and I wrote it down on a notepad and most of the page space was taken up by ponies tbh. The men brought back burger king and eventually my aunt and uncle left. I helped my dad clean up and set up his wifi and we watched mama Mia. It was my first time seeing the film, and it was really dang fun. Then I made dad drive me ho e since emily was still gone with the silver car. I’ll spend he night over there eventually, but not yet. I’m exited to eventually invite friends over since I’ve never been able to do that before. So now I’m home trying g to go to sleep so I can work tomorrow. I keep thinking about smoking weed and making out with someone in the hidey hole in dad’s apartment............ even tho I have literally no one to do that with afsagssg I’m a CHILD. 

Had dreams last night about being stuck on the infinity train again, except there was a mechanic of switching the world between 2d and 3d and the cast of Bluey had to help bingo go through stages of grief / character moments to help her get off the train or something. I was tossing and turning for a few hours anxiously waking up thinking I was gonna be late and going back to bed so I could sleep/dream more. But then I finally got up, fed my cat, fed myself, helped clean the kitchen a little bit, got ready for work, arrived 15 minutes late on accident, worked register for 6 hours, got more comfortable with register and learned how to do stuff, lots of friendly people, lots of me struggling and my bones hurting, dad brought me food but I couldn’t get to my lunch break until everything was room temperature. The chicken sandwich reheated well but the fries did not. After work dad and I stopped by the house, I got an info card to fill out so I can be called in for jury duty eventually, dad handed me $50 for dinner for us and my sister, we laid on the floor and looked at the noodles and company menu, drove there, picked up our food, had a lovely dinner at dad’s apartment, laid around while he talked to Greg on the phone, went to target to pick up small apartment things like a clock and a trash can and some small groceries but it made me nervous because I hate spending money and watching my dad spend money he may or may not have, and by then we were tired as shit and after dropping his stuff off emily and I drove home and I tried teaching her how to crochet for a school project. Now I’m hanging out wanting to go to bed and thinking about how everybody else my age working at ACE is doing like 60 hours a week with 2 jobs and saving for college and I’m just sitting here with probably 14 hours a week and fuck. I don’t want to spiral into shit, I just want to keep busy as much as possible. Maybe I’ll ask for as many work hours as possible, maybe I’ll ask my friends to hang out, idk. Right now I jut want to be busy so I don’t have to think about anything. I’ll spend as much time as possible helping my dad set up his apartment, I don’t care.

WAAAAA TODAY AT WORK WAS SO STRESSFUL, I LEFT FELLNG SO FRAZZLED IT SUCKED. basically I worked register for 4 hours but they’re all trying to ween me off asking for help to get me more comfortable, and we were surprisingly busy, and my garden boss becky asked me to do 2 extra things and my boss boss kept asking about paperwork that I couldn't fill out because I needed my sister to text me something, and an old man got mad at me over the phone because no-one was out there to fill his propane tank and I had a lady waiting for 10 minutes for someone to help load salt into her car and a middle aged man tried to use sarcasm at me while I was in friendly cashier mode aND IM SORRY I HAVE ADHD I DONT GET IT PLEASE S T O P and I tried answering the phone more and I didnt get the things done that becky asked and I left shit there because I just wanteD OUT. afterwards I went to target to get something, idk im writing this afterwards so I not really remember 

and today, my day off. ugh god I dont remember what I did, I know I picked up a vent for my mom’s bathroom and I just went to go get Taco Bell with my sister and bought her some more about crocheting and she’s making progress :) tomorrow is my friend’s birthday and last year I made her a felt doll of her fursona, so today I started making a crochet doll for her. so far I have the body and libs, but I still need to make the muzzle, tail, ears, attach everything, and hand-sew on all the markings and glue on button eyes. or maybe felt eyes, idk. my stomach hurts and I got upset because I told my mom my cat may be sick because her pee looked suspicious so I crocheted and watched my little pony and now I have a headache and im just trying to listen to music but really I just want to watch 50 arms videos at once but it wasn't loading right and idk man I dont know what’s happening, I may be going into work tomorrow. I think now that I have a job to do 3-4 times a week, I dont feel like I can just chill and wing it anymore, it’s like I have plans forever now. and oh god I still have to sig up for college orientation night or whatever, but my mind hasn'tt been on college for like a month or longer. March 12, 2021 (part 1),

Friday I woke up on the floor from the night before at like 7am then walked up to my room to find Tash sleeping in my bed. Was very confused but happy to have a sleeve over. Got in bed and went back to sleep till 10-11ish. Hung out with Tash and delayed taking her home for as long as possible because I was so tired and hungover. She had class at 11:15 so I drove her back at 11. Lowkey felt like I may have still been a little drunk. I think I went back to sleep when I got back to mine. I woke up again around 12:30 to a FaceTime call from Teddy asking if I wanted to go to this one Deli on south campus for lunch. I got Mal to come with me then picked up Teddy and went. It was actually really good and I want to go back and get a different sandwich. I also got some Vudoo chips or however u spell it. They are so good and I completely forgot they existed. We then went back to Teddy’s house to eat outside since it was so nice and he has a picnic table in his backyard. Was fun and joked around a lot. It’s always a good time with Teddy. Mal and I left shortly after eating. I think I called Justin after that to work on an assignment at 2:30 for like an hour. Neither of us knew what we were doing and pulled up the answers on chegg and we’re still confused so that’s not good cause we have an exam this Thursday. I’m pretty sure Sammi, Jamie and Noshin all came over right after that. I think they actually showed up while I was still working with Justin. They wanted to paint the table and hangout outside. I was with them for a bit then had to leave shortly after they got here cause I forgot I already had plans to go thrifting with Joe and Tash. Was fine cause they just stayed and painted with Cole, Jacob, Maddie and Dan. I pick up both Tash and Joe then drove like 30 minutes to go thrifting at a Goodwill Outlet. Was super cool and had a ton of bins that you could go thru and pick out stuff randomly. We stayed for prolly an hour and was super cheap cause it’s only like $1 per pound of stuff u get there. I got 2 hoodies and 2 shirts for a total of $4. Joe and Tash each spent about $10 and got so much stuff. Will definitely be doing that again soon. I dropped them all off then picked up Mike around 6 I wanna say. We played some Corn hole on the back patio with Dan and Mal for a little while when Mike’s girl friends all came over for literally 15 minutes then left cause they didn’t realize it was just us even tho mike told them it was just us. I ate my left over BWW while playing then went inside after it was too dark to keep playing. We started playing some Xbox and hung out for awhile until I drove to Sam’s at 8 to drop off Tash’s gift and give Christina the shooters. When we got back we started drinking cause we had to go to Sam Slim’s pregame. Dan, Mal, Mike and I all left at 9:30 to go to Sam’s as Teddy showed up to my house cause Cole was having people over later for TKE bid night. We walked to Sam’s but Mike broke off from us and went to Chick fil a cause he wasn’t going to Karaoke. We got to Sam’s but I realized I forgot the solo cups that Sam told me to bring. So I called Jacob and told him to bring them since he was coming later with Maddie. They also forgot the cups lol. Was fine cause Sam still had enough to play slap we just had to reuse after that. Tash took some picks, sung happy birthday and cut the cake, did the piñata (I had to hold the piñata and got hit a few times since she was blindfolded lol). The pregame was fun but we all left at 11 to go to the Karaoke bar. Everyone ubered except Dan, Jacob, Mal and I because Jacob got wayyy too drunk cause he chugged about 10 shots worth of pink Whitney right before that. It was a 20-30 minute walk but was fine since our time slot didn’t open until 11:15. Jacob fell and rolled his ankle really bad while crossing one intersection and was limping for the rest of the walk. Dan tired shotgunning but his finger got stuck in the can so I had to help get it out so that started bleeding a bit. Then we finally made it to Karaoke and met up with everyone (we were only 10 minutes late).

And then the two of you swap stories and favorite restaurants and it’s so funny because out of all the people to meet, you meet someone from back home out here. and you realize she could’ve been one of your friends when you were younger because there were actually so many opportunities where your paths would’ve crossed, but they didn’t— not until now, in a funky, neon lit club bathroom in nyc all because your friends decided on a spontaneous bday trip and because she and her boyfriend hyuck came out here to celebrate their anniversary. you swap numbers with her because she has this to die for restaurant that she wants to recommend, but can’t remember the name of at the moment, and six months later, it becomes the go-to brunch place for you and her on your weekly friend dates :’)

Why did you last feel like crying? Ever since the pandemic started almost a year ago and we were in quarantine, I’ve put off seeing one of my doctors. so i have no idea how much you’ve been seeing so i’ll say like Most of it

so for ALMOST A MONTH NOW HOLY SHIT i’ve been moderating for cody’s discord server!! and i’m happy about it but it takes so much TIME and idk how to keep up with SCHOOL so i started going to maxx’s streams a lot less. but god every time i show up he sounds so fucking happy that i’m there and he’s like excited to talk to me.

fun fact! in fucking february i bought him a birthday gift, but he didn’t get it before quarantine started, and when he finally got around to check it wasn’t in his po box? so eventually i showed him what i got him and he was like OH??? so he went to check again and finally got it and let me tell you! i was only gonna go into the stream for like five minutes that day (because i didn’t realize he was going to stream FOR TEN WHOLE HOURS) but i went in just to say hi, and as soon as he saw me he went. WAIT. NICK. DON’T LEAVE YET. I HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU GUYS. and he jumped up to go get the shirt (which was already on a hanger) and he looked so fucking happy about it?? mind you this was a whole TWO MONTHS after his birthday lol but he showed the shirt on the hanger and then he didn’t show the sticker i got him so he might have just stuck it on something already? and a couple days later i couldn’t make it to the stream for long but as soon as it started my friend madi messaged me like MAXX WEARING THE NICK SHIRT. HOW MUCH SEROTONIN WILL HE GET. i went into maxxs stream DURING CLASS just to comment on it. and god yeah today when i showed up, one of the FIRST THINGS HE SAYS ON STREAM, like he does the “hello! thanks for coming! etc etc” and then he went “nick’s here!!! a rare nick sighting :)” and everyone in his chat was also very happy and excited to see me?? i would die for this community

and in CODYS STREAMS. i feel a little more obligated to go to them because i moderate for his discord lol but there’s not nearly the same sense of community yet, and i have a different group of friends there, idk that’s still developing but like. it’s tough when you have the community formed around the drummer vs the community formed around the singer because you KNOW people act differently when it’s the singer, and trying to get past that and form more of a community vibe is tougher. also like... moderating is one thing, but there’s also this new sense of trust in us he has? like he calls subscribers on discord during streams sometimes, and one day he called my friend aris but was using the wrong pronouns for him, so i slipped it in the chat and as SOON as he saw it i saw his face drop, he felt so fucking bad and he apologized multiple times. and IMMEDIATELY after the stream he went into the chat for just mods with “i feel like such a jerk” and we basically just had a heart to heart with him to help him feel better and y’all??? i got emotions.

the main reason i was yammering about cody this morning. i hate saying this because it feels so self centered. but Very Long Story Short (i will explain it to you if you want me to) i’m pretty sure cody and i spent most of 2019 convinced the other hated us, or at least extremely worried about it. i spent a way too long thinking about it and i’m pretty sure that’s how he felt. so yesterday during his stream he was talking about some of the music he was writing, and he said “there’s this song i’m writing about like social anxiety online, like sometimes i’m terrified to go on social media because someone’s gonna hate me today” and i didn’t process it until later but when i did my brain went WOOOSH and of COURSE if he wrote a song about that it’s probably not SPECIFICALLY about me and theres NO WAY OF ACTUALLY KNOWING but the fact that i feel like i’m probably a part of that???? i don’t know what to do with that thought?????? i don’t know what emotion i was experiencing about it but i almost started fucking crying omg last year was a fucking ride and considering the change in the level of trust we have it’s gonna be SO different the next time i see him WAAAAAAAA

anyways today maxx was talking about how much he misses touring and i got fuckin emotional about that too because now i KNOW next time i see them it’s gonna be so fuckin different, especially after such a long break and with these kinds of things happening, i’m gonna fucking lose my mind,,, codys other mods wanna meet up together and be like “sorry we can’t make it to any dates on this tour!” and then all show up at the same place. power move.

and final sidenote we really had to ban someone multiple times from cody’s AND maxx’s discords and then find out that they were emotionally manipulating minors in the discords to tell us to let them back in, and gaslighting, and threatening the mods behind our backs, and talking shit about us, and i REALLY HOPE we never have to hear from them again, but last thursday we had a whole team of us going SHOO. NONE OF US WANT YOU HERE. IF YOU TRY TO SNEAK BACK INTO THE SERVER WE WILL CATCH YOU AND BAN YOU AS MANY TIMES AS WE NEED TO. so i hope they got the memo, we haven’t heard about them in a couple days.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 8, one of the longest running television shows of our time begins airing the final episodes of it’s final season. Guys, Supernatural is 15. FIFTEEN. It can practically drive a car now. As one friend put it, “that show had a Quinceañera.” And if you don’t know how significant that is, think of the last show you know of that made it to season 10. Take your time, I’ll wait. 

Whoever I stole this birthday invite from, they are probably older than this show.

I started watching Supernatural in 2008. I was 19, I had just begun my journey towards Over-Worked, Under-Slept Millennial, and my best friend recommended it. I can’t really remember how the conversation went, but I’m sure at some point it was “It’s scary, and it’s got these two brothers, I’ll send you a link!” cuz we were trash and we were broke and Netflix...existed? Hulu existed, but not in the way that either of those sites work now, so we watched by...ahem...other means. It is probably why my first laptop stopped working after 3 semesters of college.

And damn, I was hooked. I don’t do scary movies and honestly, I was legit creeped out by a lot of these episodes, but it had two hot dudes who took down a monster every week and then (the real kicker) had a bigger, season-long mystery they were trying to solve. And occasionally, they got punched in their big dumb beautiful faces. If I had known what a kink was at the time, I would have said that someone was reading my dream diary. 

Over the next 12 years - Let me say that again for those of you in the back - TWELVE YEARS - I had an on-again-off-again relationship with the Winchesters. It was pretty hot and heavy in the beginning. I was jumping on the back of this 67 Chevy Impala 3 years in, so I had three seasons that I bought on DVD that I binged and was caught up with season 4 by the time the midseason started to air in late January of 2009. I was introducing all my friends to Supernatural, I made several people watch the entire first disc of season 1 with me, irregardless of whether they’d asked or not. Things started to cool down towards the end of season 4 as life started picking up and I know...I caught...the tail end of season 5? I think? I distinctly remember the final scene of the final episode, but honestly, I can’t remember how much of that season I actually watched.

At that point, I considered Supernatural to be a weird pseudoaddiction. I’d be clean for a while, years even, and then Netflix caught up with consumers and I could binge whole seasons in a weekend. It’d be, oh, I could just watch an episode. Just one episode. Maybe two. And then the weekend is gone in a blaze of classic rock and rock salt and I’m left with something like but not necessarily a hangover where my feelings live. I think I did this for seasons 6 through, like, 8? Eventually, Netflix stopped putting it at the top of my dashboard and it was easier to avoid. And I said to myself, well, when they finally get to the last season, THEN I’ll go on one last run, one last big score, and watch the whole series again in one go. 

But the seasons kept coming?? And they?? Didn’t stop?? Guys, I don’t know how many of you care about this but, Friends, one of the most popular sitcoms of all time that defined an entire generation had ten seasons. TEN. Supernatural is ending with fifteen! For an industry where most shows don’t make it past a pilot, let alone a season 1, this is INSANE. 

But now it’s ending. Even though a pandemic halted production just two episodes away from the finale, Supernatural is finally outta cassette tapes. The Wayward Sons may finally (??) be laying their wearied heads to rest (?? lol, I know).  

And frankly, 2020’s been a real sh*tshow so I thought “Why not?” 

And if I’m doing this and I’m not interacting with anyone on a human level, I might as well chronicle this epic dive into a time capsule of television because frankly, what the hell else am I doing? 

Cuz that’s what this is guys. 15 years in TV time is multiple lifespans. Shows are born, grow into something Emmy-worthy, and die in less time than Supernatural has been on the air. You know what else aired their pilot episode in 2005? The American version of The Office. You know when The Office ended? 2013. 

So let’s talk about pilots because that in and of itself may be a thing of the past not too far from now. 

Guys, I love pilots. I will probably say this a lot over the next, uhhhh...many months, but I love pilots and I love season ones, especially for a sci-fi and fantasy shows because that’s where your characters are at their most vulnerable, their most unsure. The writers and producers are really digging around, trying to figure out what the groundwork for this world is and there’s something so exciting about exploring it with them, as an audience. 

Pilot’s are great, pilots on spec are even better, and that’s a lot of what the Supernatural Pilot feels like. It’s got a real indie/guerilla-style horror movie vibe, like the crew scraped together just enough cash for that one special effect scene but had to skimp out on a lot of the other production stuff, and still managed to turn something around that is totally, 100% watchable and somehow more charming than if they’d had the budget to make something really polished? Go watch Night of the Living Dead (1968) and tell me that movie would have been better if they’d had a bigger budget. You could, but I won’t agree. 

Ok so a quick break down of technical terms. A television pilot is basically the first episode of a TV show. Well, that’s not exactly true. A pilot is kind of like making a sample or a blueprint of your show that you hand over to the television networks and say, here! This is what my TV show will look like. Will you pay me money to continue making it? And the networks (think ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and The CW - remember, this is Network, not cable) will spend January through April of every year reviewing pilots and deciding if they want to pay you money to make more episodes. Well, every year except 2020. See: sh*tshow. Sometimes the network comes to you with an idea, or maybe, you’ve pitched your script/show to some executives and they buy in for that first pilot episode to see where things will go. Neither of these scenarios are a sure thing, and pilot season is always rife with will-they-won’t-they tension. In fact, if you’re working on the show, there’s a real possibility that pilot will get re-shot after studio notes, you’ll lose your job to someone the studio liked better, and then the show still may not get picked up. A pilot shot on spec is in even more of a limbo scenario because nobody asked for this! And just to follow through on Pilot Season - after the networks decide to buy your pilot, they then air the pilot at Upfronts (usually in May) where their many ad companies decide if they will pay money to air their ads during those shows. This is where we get things like prime time and key demographics - if you thought TV was all about the art, you are very wrong. TV, like most other industries, is still a business that’s about making money. 

Back to the Supernatural pilot. Now, from my research, series creator Eric Kripke had been working on the concept for 10 years. He was big into classic rock, big into urban legends and big into cowboys and all those things get married ever so neatly in this show. A lot of his initial ideas remain unchanged, at least for the first season - he wants two brothers, traveling across the country, facing off with America’s Spookiest Myths and legends. A lot of it did change. I honestly feel like I remember reading an early draft of the pilot where Sam and Dean are cowboys? But I’m also pretty sure I’m imaging that. What I’m not imagining is this ridiculous early draft where John’s been locked in an insane asylum, dies before the first episode starts, and Sam’s been living with an aunt and uncle his whole life and knows nothing. They still use something close enough to the La Llorona legend as the catalyst for the episode, but a lot of other things are changed. This is not the Sam and Dean we come to know and love. This is also a good example of when you SHOULD listen to notes, because this draft was rewritten after executive producer McG and his Wonderland Sound and Vision production company signed on, but before they actually shot the script. 

Now from what I’ve read, the WB picked the show up for (4) episodes initially, and ultimately picked it up for a full season of (22) episodes. This was, at the time, a pretty standard season and a pretty standard way to get it. They had a better deal than The Office, anyway, which only got picked up for (6) episodes in their first season, then got picked up four episodes at a time for season 2. 

Now let’s go over that paragraph one more time and talk about what a hecking DINOSAUR this show is - 

FIRST off - Supernatural premiered on THE WB. It PREDATES The CW!!

Man guys, you remember they had a frog as a mascot? Oof, that would not work today.

Secondly, it got 22 EPISODES. We’ll get into this some more when we talk about that evil bugs filler ep, but think about how many episodes were in the last show that you binged on Netflix? 8? Maybe 10?

OH! And SPEAKING of Netflix and streaming services like them, they’re kind of killing pilot season AND upfronts. They pick up shows when they want to. They “air” them when they feel like. There are no ads because you pay for that content on a monthly basis and also they don’t even have commercial breaks. I am slowly seeing the passage of time in one (1) episode of television and I think I’ve aged 100 years.

Finally, and most importantly, this show got a better deal than The Office. And that show was an NBC primetime show. 

This show was nominated for 193 awards and won 50. And it ended when my nephew was still in kindergarten. He’s gonna be in high school next year. 

So what about this Supernatural Pilot? Was it any good? Honestly, I’m gonna say yeah. This is some very solid Hero’s Journey here. I think the only weird thing about it is that Sam is our Hero, our point of contact character that gets us into this world. And I only say that because I’ll be real up front and say that I’m a Dean girl through and through. I don’t hate Sam, but because we live in a world where we have to choose, it’s Dean 4Eva. 

From that early script draft, we learn the plan was for Sam to be in the dark and essentially be our audience stand in so that Dean can explain all the backstory. I think the decision to make John Winchester raise his kids as a weird fringe paramilitary outfit and establish Sam as the brother that tried to get away is a good one. It’s a very “Arrive Late” (or if you’re fancy, in media res,) sort of attitude and it works and you’ve already started building in the Atonement with the Father. There’s still some pretty excellent exposition dialogue, but what are ya gonna do. Sam, did you really need to explain to Dean that your collective father “raised you like warriors”? Or that you “kill everything we CAN find?” It’s fine. You’re beautiful and I love you. But also, he knows all that.

You have the Call to Adventure - Dean showing up and saying “Dad hasn’t been home in a few days.” You have the refusal of the call (“He’ll sleep it off”). You have your supernatural aid (hah!) giving Sam a push out the door - that’s Dean. You have your famous line that I quoted along with the TV - Dad’s on a hunting trip. And he hasn’t been home in a few days. 

The dead mom backstory seems pretty on the nose, but the “burned on the ceiling” concept was new and unique enough that I was intrigued to find out more. Listen, I’ve already admitted I don’t watch a lot of horror so if this has been done before, don’t @ me. 

La Llorona or Woman in White or Weeping Woman was a new trope to me at the time, so it too seemed fresh. I see that myth show up in a lot more Supernatural-type shows now, but in 2008, at 19, I was like, oh this is different. Not to mention - this definitely leaned in to the horror aspect. I know I’m a baby, but it aired at 9pm, which is the more adult side of Prime Time, so the WB thought it was too spooky for kids who had early bedtimes. So there. 

I HATE when they do this cuz it freaks me out EVERY TIME and THAT’S NOT EVEN HOW THESE MIRRORS WORK??? SHE’S NOT EVEN IN THE BACK SEAT IN THIS SHOT!

And then at the END, when Sam STILL refuses the call to adventure, you have the real Crossing of the Threshold - Jess is ALSO stuck on the ceiling, dead, and on fire. Spoiler alert, but they had to fridge her early to make the rest of the season work and so it shouldn’t be a big surprise. Sam’s all in and we get 21 more episodes of him and Dean and that car. 

Is it technically fridging if she’s lit on fire?

And let’s talk about Jess for a second cuz actress Adrianne Palicki is giving a LOT more in this performance than a fridged girlfriend should be required to. She’s likeable, she’s down to earth, she’s crushing it and and all this with only, like, two scenes of dialogue. I say this even though we meet her in a slutty nurse costume - COME on WB. 

WB what the hell is this wardrobe. What the HELL is THIS. 

In fact, all of the extras in this show are crushing it? Louis is instantly likeable and he disappears after his first scene, never to grace our TV’s again. And these extras in the town in Jericho, California - I kind of love them. As CW (or I guess, WB) as Jessica is, these extras look like they found them at the local highschool and I LOVE THEM FOR IT. They probably came to set already in makeup and wardrobe! They POSSIBLY brought their own jewelry! They’re weirdos and they are GREAT. I’m pretty sure this will NEVER happen again on this show because once the $$ came in, so did the more polished-looking one-off characters.

 Lookit these magnificent goth weirdos! And great news, both these actresses have very full, non-goth careers after this. 

Also, heckin’ Joseph Welch is just crushing it. This man has NOTHING CW about him and that’s maybe why I like him so much? Everything about the scene with him and Sam is pretty heartbreaking, from his rundown car graveyard to his rundown physique with his rundown accent to the fact that we never actually see his face. Seriously, really LOOK at this scene - WHAT is going on with this cinematography? Is this a reference to something? It’s SO bleached out and SO stark and WHAT is going on???

WHAT is this lighting? And also this guy was played by Steve Railsback was on X-Files!

You can’t talk about Supernatural without talking about the chemistry between Sam and Dean and that’s probably the real hook here? I mean a) very beautiful. I will probably talk about this a lot. Let’s call it what it is here, they’re beefcakes and they’re made for me and people like me. It is weird that this show is so macho but their primary audience was mostly there for the babes. And by babes I mean Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. And b) they REALLY sell the whole brothers thing. They’re both from Austin, TX which feels like a weird coincidence. They were both already on WB shows before this one, also a weird coincidence. And they just click. They just do. It’s impressive, and occasionally creepy when we start to get into the Wincest of it all, but lets not talk about that.

Oh, and the MUSIC! The music just makes it. If you don’t believe me, watch the Netflix version of the first season and then find yourself a DVD version. See, TV shows need to acquire a license to play popular music during the show. Nowadays, the CW actually tags their songs in the episode so you can find and presumably buy it later, but they still have to pay royalties for using those pop songs. When Netflix acquired Supernatural, they did NOT acquire the licensing to use the classic rock songs from ACDC, Metallica, etc. and so you’re left with some pretty bland and generic production music that’s something like but not necessarily Back in Black. More like, Back in...Grey? This pun didn't work how I wanted it to. 

And the show just...doesn’t work? Like, who knew BACKINBLAAAAACK! Was so instrumental to whether I thought this was quality programming or not. Side note - it ruins my favorite piece of dialogue of maybe the entire series - 

Sam: I swear, man, you gotta update your cassette tape collection.

Dean: Why?

Sam: Well, for one, they're cassette tapes.

Do the young people even know what a cassette tape is? I AM the CRYPTKEEPER.

So yeah, you got a lot of ingredients to make something pretty great. Did we know then that it would launch a juggernaut of a television program that would still be on the air in the Year of Our Reckoning, 2020? I was a big fan of Firefly, so I was 99.99% sure this show was gonna get canceled at any second. In fact, I was thrilled, in 2008, to find there were two more seasons after the one I was currently watching. Of course, season 3 aired around the time of the great Writer’s Strike of ‘07, where nothing looked good and few programs survived, but we’ll get there. 

In a final, kind of spooky, almost premonition-type decision the WB actually decided to air this pilot episode a whole week early on Yahoo!. Yeah, you remember Yahoo!, right? The search engine that briefly tried to have its own original streaming content and then we all abandoned it in favor of the monster that is Google? Yeah. This episode premiered online. I haven’t done enough research, but I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say this was probably one of the first ever TV shows to start on the internet? Weird to think that was a novel and innovative concept at one time. 

So this is it. This is the end of the era. Are we gonna get any more shows that last as long as this one did? Who knows. Are we as a culture gonna care at that point? I don’t know. Our TV habits have changed so much in the last few years that it’s hard to say how we’ll watch TV in the future. But credit where it’s due, boys. Nice huntin’.

I agree!! Everything uncle Rick writes is just BEYOND amazing, and I also rather love the Magnus Chase series (it's just so hilarious). But ahhh yes Nico and Will have the cutest dynamics in the entire series, just seeing a bubbly adorable Will with a darkness shrouded Nico makes me want to cry they're so precious. I love Leo too 😤😤😤💖 he's a cutie, and a dork, and he's so so so smart! Oh and Percy himself, just being so done™ with the gods will never not be funny. Juniper is a unique choice, but I totally understand it!! She seems so delicately beautiful, ahhh I'm melting.

My day today was kinda ehh... not as good as it could've been. Just very busy. I’ve had a lot of schoolwork recently and it’s been piling up :/ But thankfully I'm just about finished up before I get a break for the holiday season! 😌 I’m ready for it lol. Happy Birthday to..ME!!  yes my birthday was recently it was last Thursday (April 2) I was a lil bit upset about it this year due to the circumstances. so we had to have a very low key one this year being you can't go out or go anywhere and you can't have ppl over so I was a bit upset that I couldn't share it with family and friends here but hopefully we'll be able to do that next year.  Although I couldn’t celebrate it with ppl they did make sure I got my presents lol  Stuff was dropped off at work for me so that was great. anyway there is some better pics of stuff below, so lets continue..

first thing is the Shadow of The Tomb Raider (Deluxe Double Vinyl) soundtrack set. above is the front and back covers shown I wanted it for my collection and it will go great with the Tomb Raider: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP Record I got. I’m not going to open this the same as I did with the other one I’m just going to happily put it away in in my Tomb Raider collection.

I then also got Life is Strange Volume 3 of the comic series that goes of course well with Vol 2 I got for Xmas lol

and of course I did get the Rise of Skywalker on 4K with the Limited Edition packaging ppl know I like the Limited Edition versions so that is what they get me lol. I haven’t opened it yet but I will at some point soon. I have to say I do like the front cover of it tho.

Not only do I get them for Christmas but I got a Birthday Optimus Prime also.  I got a couple last year for my Birthday too.  but as for this one I really love his design he is from the new Cyberverse line of figures and I’d say he is about 5-6 inches tall? and as you can see they are starting to do Build A Figure thing with Transformers like they do with Marvel Legends

I did get the new Totaku Lara! I was so excited and happy to get her I’ll have her up next to the other one in no time!

Someone also got me the new Frozen II pop figures that just came out to go with the ones I got at Christmas. I’m going to have to get way more of those protective cases for all these pop things lol but speaking of Frozen...

a friend of mine got me these amazing statue/figurines from Japan their apparently made by of all things Sega?  but the detail on them is impressive.  I didn’t expect them but I really do like them alot.

On of the things I got was this lil Venom plush. He is about maybe 4-5 inches tall and I think hes just beyond super cute!!  when I opened the box he was in I was like “OMG!..”  lol  I’m actually a huge fan of the Character ever since he first appeared so this was perfect for me, I love him so much!

Also someone got me the WWE Elite Series 72 Becky Lynch I was actually on the look out for this one so I was more then happy to get it on my Birthday.

And finally.. I received 2 of the Black series figures I was looking for Count Dooku and the Knight of Ren 

The Knight of Ren looks really cool and I’m going to put him up next to my Kylo where he belongs, but I was most excited about...

..Getting Count Dooku!! I was excited when he was announced and was waiting for him to come out. I tried to pre-order him through Amazon but he wasn’t listed?!? but it is a good thing I didn’t cause someone already bought him for me. Also his packaging is all beat to hell but that is ok being I’m going to be opening him and putting him up with my other 6 inch guys. I’m just super happy to have him. 

That is pretty much what I got for my Birthday I did get a couple of gift cards too and a few dollars from relatives but sadly no partying this year becasue of everything going on hopefully next year.
