I am currently playing through the black mesa version of blue shift and doing what im calling a "chumrun" (very stupid I know) I didnt get to see the chumtoad easter egg in the og blue shift but when i saw the black mesa team turned theirs INTO A PLUSHIE!?!?!?!?? i knew i had to bring it to the end of the game with me. I like to think it was a gift that gordon gave him on the day of the res cas and he decided to go back and grab it (idk how that would work but just indulge me) because he is going to find gordon and give him a big ol' hug and a thank you and get out of black mesa together and nothing bad is going to happen :)

really the ideal video game wiki is just an automatically updating datamine archive of all game variables + story scripts organised to have filters for things like 'units that inflict this status' 'stages that feature this enemy' 'scripts that feature this character' as well as obviously a script text search function + maybe some human maintained pages archiving out-of-game materials like patchnotes and lorebooks and fanart from official artists and the like and naturally the books are scanned and transcribed and searchable too. no wiki editors interpreting and summarising the information and having to manually update the wiki after new game content releases just pure source material.
