there's such an endearing innocence to cynthia's elphaba, like the way she immediately assumes glinda had her best intentions in mind by giving her that (hideodeous) hat because no one had been kind to her before, to the way she was visibly nervous but excited to attend her first party, and even up until popular, where she earnestly attempts to follow glinda's advice, plus the entirety of the wizard and i.

you can tell this is a girl who just wants to do good and be genuinely accepted, so when she's visibly hurt and feels betrayed during the ozdust scene, it is so painful and heartbreaking to watch. and then cynthia begins crying, and you can't help but cry with her.

The way he hugs

He's a little dude, we all know this, and it's so sweet to see him hug people because he pulls them down into him while also stretching up to them. A very meet in the middle type thing (kind of, he's very much so on his tiptoes in the first one with Ves) but the way he wraps himself around people to the point where you can't tell where he ends and they begin

He also tends to lean into people. Slightly less obvious in the first one because IV is leaning down to use him as a headrest, but almost every photo you can find of ii when he's not fully leaning into the "cool, mysterious, second-hand to a cult leader" persona, he's leaning into whoever is in the pic with him

Not being the first to break contact (unless necessary)

This gif is the moments after the first photo, and you can see in full effect how he leans on Ves, and also how he doesn't want to let go. Vessel has to almost twist out of II's arm to walk away, with II keeping that point of contact until the last second

Another case of having a point of contact, during Like That Shenanigans with III, the second III removes his hand II is instantly reaching his hand back out before III moves away (look near the body of the bass)

The quick touches as he passes

Both of these examples being with Vessel is breaking me a bit, but when he doesn't have time to stop or he'll miss his cue, he still reaches out to comfort

So yeah, II's love language is physical contact, thank you for coming to my TED talk
