BABYY the august; tarot wip pls i need to eat your writing so bad

OUGHHH THANK U i love my boy august so so much AUAUGH he's my dnd character in a homebrew campaign with some friends!! the context for this is that he and his friend brennan are travelling and looking for a cure for,,,, something that i shan't say yet,,,, and they meet a fortune-teller and she and august talk :3

“Please be careful.” Another smile graced August’s face—it pulled on his cleft lip in a way that showed off a sharp canine in a way that would have been menacing if not for the gentleness of his gaze as he nodded back at his only friend. “Of course. You have taught me as much already.” And with one last glance, Brennan disappeared into the crowd, leaving August to his own device.  During the minutes that followed, he wandered the city’s paved streets. He walked by kiosks that seemed to sell everything and nothing at once, trinkets that could only serve few people, clothing that was too colourful to be safely worn in the wilds, jewellery that shone brighter than the few gold coins in August’s purse. He paid a few coppers for a pastry that was both sweet and savoury, crisp on the outside and moist on the inside—a pastry that he had to run to an empty alley to vomit only a few moments later, stomach churning and body burning as his magic pulsed painfully below the surface of his skin. The alley was darker than markets, the buildings surrounding it casting large shadows that almost convinced August he’d somehow lost the notion of time and had been wandering until nightfall. The sounds of the city were muffled here, and he leaned against a wall to give his senses the calm they needed. He’d been more overwhelmed than he’d thought, distracted by the many wonders of Lorbach and its people.  Through the thin layer of his eyelids, he still perceived when a light illuminated the alley. He opened his eyes, immediately on guard, only to tilt his head to the side at a sight he’d apparently missed in his hurry to empty his stomach: a section of the wall was hollow, leaving just enough room for what seemed to be an incredibly narrow shop. Light shone through the minuscule lattice of the door. Cautiously, remembering Brennan’s demand that he be careful, August approached the door and, with one hand on the dagger at his side, pushed it open. The interior of the shop was, as expected, narrow. Its walls were lined with crystals, bones and vegetation he’d never seen before, flames dancing just an inch above candles that smelled like feelings August had never experienced himself. A few feet before him, at the end of the hallway created by the walls, sat a horned elderly woman, her red skin wrinkled and glowing gently, enticingly. Her hands were folded over the small table she sat at, nails resembling claws, but August was not afraid. Perhaps it was the candles’ scent or simply the woman’s aura, but he felt… calm.  “Come, dear. Make yourself comfortable.” Prompted by the woman’s pleasant tone—the kind he’d heard in his past life, when he’d done something right in class, when the instructor looked down on him with pride—, he stalked closer and sat on the cushioned stool facing the table. He knew he should be more cautious, that he had no reason to trust this stranger, and yet– he couldn’t help but feel drawn to her, to this knowing look on her face, to the gentleness of her eyes. August had never had a mother, but he knew that this here was what the word “motherly” would define.

I’m sorry but I will truly never get over Ekko who lost his mentor and all his friends at a young age, then spent the rest of his childhood building a beautiful and strong community that helped get shimmer addicts off the streets and give them a new life that thrived off of trust, respect, and loyalty while slowly watching the girl he loves lose herself to her psyche and become an unhinged suicidal terrorist who he is unable to save despite repeated attempts at it. And THEN gets booted into an alternate reality where he learns he could have had EVERYTHING, the beautiful and thriving community, the education, his family, and the girl he loves and he heartbreakingly leaves it all behind because he knows he doesn’t belong there and he has to go back to save his people which he DOES multiple times at great risk despite knowing what overextending his z-drive could do only to end up completely alone in the end. The most selfless character in the entire series. That’s my boy savior.

Sampo loves when you play with his hair. He'd be 100% down for you trying ridiculous hairstyles on him but on a good day he'll put a pillow in your lap and puts his hands behind his head, sinking into the soft fabric. He closes his eyes when your fingertips start carding through his blue strands of hair. "This is the good life", he sighs and winks at you, "now all you'd need to do would be feeding me grapes like they do in the movies and things would be perfect." "Wait until I throw you off the couch", you shoot him a warning glare. "Hey, hey, I jest", he puts his hands up defensively and laughs.

"You know I'm lucky to have you", he takes your free hand into his and presses a kiss to your knuckles, "this is like we're straight out of a romantic piece of literature, don't you think?" You raised an eyebrow at him: "You're not exactly what I'd consider a romance novel protagonist."

He sighs. "True. I'm more like, the court jester who fell in love with the pretty royal heir", he reaches up to cup your cheek, caressing it gently with his fingertips. "And I love you for it", you laugh as he sits up to press a kiss to your lips. You bury your fingers in his hair whilst kissing back.

You take a deep breath and drift off into your own thoughts now that Sampo was quiet for a moment. A rare occurence, really.

As you enjoy this moment with your beloved, you think back to the chaos that was all over Belobog recently. "Hey, what do you think our friends from the Astral Express are doing now?", you wonder and Sampo sinks back into your lap again, resting his cheek against your stomach. "Maybe fighting a giant, strong lady with the help of a dragon, but what do I know?", he shrugs with a satisfied smile on his face. "Isn't it usually the other way around?", you raise an eyebrow. "It is, isn't it?", he puts a finger to his chin and chuckles.

You laugh and ruffle his hair. "You always have such an overactive imagination. You should write a book." "As much as I'd slay as an author, I'm just doomed by the narrative like the rest of us, darling."

Blade enjoys when you run your fingers through his hair. It's a sensation that momentarily distracts him from everything else that is going on in that busy, but tired mind of his; so it's well-appreciated.

He will not let you mess up his hair under any circumstance. Kafka calling him "Bladie", a terrible habit that rubbed off on you, was bad enough. He didn't need her and Silver Wolf to tease him about having a ponytail on top of his head with several braids going off from it, tied together with colorful hair ties.

Thankfully, you were sane enough not to attempt that.

But he does let you do a few nice hairstyles that look good on him; like a simple, long braid. He doesn't care for what he looks like after all these years of being alive but you seemed to find joy in it and it made his daily life easier sometimes to have his hair put together in a braid.

Sometimes when you sit behind him and braid his hair, you press a few teasing kisses to his neck. Unfortunately for his usually so serious demeanor, Blade is the most ticklish person you have ever met, so that's one of the only things that gets a laugh out of him; even if he didn't feel it emotionally. You brush a strand of his hair back, relishing in the sound he made so rarely; a slight tinge of sadness in your heart and a thought you didn't dare voice.

I wish I could see you laugh more... I'd do anything to make you happy.

He also lets you brush his hair every morning if you want to. His hair is so soft, as you have told him many times. He always wonders how something so simple could bring you so much joy; but he's glad that it does.

Luocha always takes good care of his hair; after all a professional appearance was important for a merchant. His hair is very soft and silky and you have a great time brushing and braiding it.

He teaches you how to do his signature hairstyle. It's quite difficult to do on his own so he appreciates that you're happy to help. This pretty much became a routine for the two of you in the morning.

Sometimes he'd try to get up at night to go to the bathroom and find you accidentally laying on his hair. He hisses an "ouch" under his breath, sometimes waking you up in the process. Once he's back in your arms, you massage his scalp and carefully run your fingers through his blond strands to make up for the painful accident.

In the morning, you tend to sit behind him and do his hair, often littering his neck and shoulders in the process. "Is this just an excuse for you to give me kisses?", he chuckles and shakes his head. "I suppose you caught me", you sigh with a smile on your face and Luocha turns his head to pull you into a deep kiss that catches you off guard. You quickly melt into the gesture, closing your eyes and noting how pleasant the taste of his lips is. You presume he applies lip balm in the morning before you do his hair but you never actually saw him do it.

When he gets home after a long day, depending on what hairstyle you did for him, his scalp hurts sometimes when you undo his braid so he loves to rest his head in your lap and have you ease brush your fingers through his hair.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Wandee Goodday (Sat YT) ep 7 of 12 - There is so much to love about this pair. But one of the things I truly adore is what great communicators they are about what they want & need as friends & as lovers. As boyfriends? Not so much. But the way they can (and do and did) communicate speaks well to their ability to communicate in the future, once they have resolved the inevitable doom the BL gods will reign down upon us over the next 3-4 eps. I guess what I am say is... these two are gonna be awesome husbands.

The break up was sad but inevitable.

Yay for a crying kiss. I do so love a crying kiss! 

Can we talk about the fact that all that tension was worth it?

Excellent kiss all round from GreatInn. Possibly one of the best of the year. Their only issue in winning this category in 2024 is that they're up against OffGun, TayNew, and JimmySea, not to mention BillyBabe... and MosBank coming soon. But I gotta say, for a new pair? Fantastic work boys.

My Stand-In (Fri iQIYI) ep 8 of 12 - I literally spent this whole show saying “Oh, Poor Joe!” Which is now the actual name of his character: Poor Joe. He's like the country music sad sack. How much is this narrative gonna keep kicking him while he's down?  

Sunset X Vibes (Sat iQIYI) ep 1 of 12 - Star Hunter + MosBank + a beloved familiar face? You ready? Let's go. I got a lot to say.

Unexpected supernatural historical paranormal mythological Sign-esk elements happening in our dream sequence opening. I’m not mad about it. But I do think it’s going to be mishandled in the dubious hands of Star Hunter. My BLabies, no matter what else, with Star Hunter we can rest assured there will be chaos and narrative mess. And now, lucky us, there will be a supernatural mess. But at least it will be sexy and high heat.

Honestly, I'm not worried about MosBank and I know what to expect from Star Hunter,. So we're all on the same page.

Meanwhile, enter a cute side couple (normal for this studio). WAIT a second I know that face! That's Tenon of PitchBank fame (side couple, and only good thing about, Golden Blood). I’m sad to see his pair busted, but delighted to see him pop up again in a BL.

Tenon appreciation time: He kisses beautifully everyone, and he is a killer eye-emoter. We are in for a real treat with this actor. (Especially if we get to a place in the narrative where he pines. OH PLEASE MAKE HIM PINE.)

Okay back to the show. I love Tenon but I also LOVE his infiltrating, wicked smart, younger brother character. This role is great for him. I adore an industrial spy. I enjoy a rich boy pretending to be an intern in his family's company (yes it's a trope, just not common in BL). Excellent work Thailand. No notes.

In conclusion?

It’s a cheesy silly office BL and I am enjoying it immensely because I have no expectations. So don't burst my bubble. Star Hunter is bound to do that on its own without tumblr's help.

We Are Cute (Weds iQIYI) ep 11 of 16 - Oh my God they are all so cute! I love the beginning bit when Peem was feeling down and Phum tried to cheer him up. Ridiculously charming. All the sides were super adorbs too. The actual name of this show is "We Are Cute". Meanwhile, Kluen = the only boy in a BL ever to take his unfinished drink with him? I like him even more now. 

My Love Mix-Up Th (Fri YT) ep 2 of 12 - New take on the umbrella trope to be trapped under a parasol together. NO SINGING. Honestly? I am not loving this as much as I really wanted to love it. It's the middle of the rankings for good reason. I do like the idea of historical Cinderfella BL though. Why isn't that what I'm watching? The play with in a play is a dangerous trope to deploy, it only distracts my with attractive possibilities. 

Love Sea (Sun iQIYI) ep 2 of 10 - I'm gonna try to cycle back to ending this rap-up week on Saturdays, which means the recap for this episode will be in next week's weekly (so to speak). Meanwhile, I am doing a Trash watch on this show. Hopefully that will get updated tomorrow.

Knock Knock Boys (Thurs Gaga) ep 4 of 12 - It’s fun enough. Kind of a pulpy lark. Best + Seng = a surprisingly good match.

Only Boo! (Sun YT) ep 10 of 12 - Good kiss from the sides. No surprises there. The main’s kissing was fine too, I guess. I like that they had a genuine struggle with being an idol and not being able to date. It’s nice to see that depicted on screen in a BL. I wish we had a bit more of a montage around the rise & success of Moo's boy group. But I understand the money in play for this kind of show prohibits that. All in all? It’s fine.

At 25:00 in Akasaka AKA 25 Ji Akasaka de (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 9 of 10 - Oof. This ep was painful. So much awkward desperation and confusion. Oh Japan, must you?

Crazy to be in a place and time where there is no other noted non-Thai BLs airing. Not even from Korea. What is going on? Are we in 2020 all over again? Please no.

As u all can tell, when I discover an Owen coded song I become so normal about it...

"This song is so Owen coded this" or "That song is so Owen coded that" NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT HOW OWEN CODED "How I'd Kill" BY COWBOY MALFOY IS OMG.

This song is so Owen post banana incident coded. The opening being darker and slower relating to him rising from the rubble after being abandoned by his lover, the blaming Curt for all of it and feeling like he was a fool for trusting him.

The build up to the time change is him getting recruited by Chimera and seeing a new dawn for himself.

The more upbeat part of the song is him thriving through Chimera working his way up in the organization. Him creating the character of DMA and killing all those people, thinking of Curt as something from his past that he needs to destroy

The ending being more mellow signifying him missing/seeing Curt again and falling back into old mentalities. AUGH ITS JUST SO HIM.

Love for Love's Sake Episode 5 & 6

Holy shit, y'all. This drama continues to blow my mind and be so smart about its world building and narrative structure. With each episode drop the show has been very smartly toggling back and forth between relationship development within the game and lore drops about what is happening outside the game, and these two episodes are no exception.

So we begin this week with relationship development, which was so fucking sweet. I love how honest Cha Yeowoon is about how he feels and what he wants. This boy has no ability to hide himself whatsoever, he wears his heart on his sleeve and his vulnerability on his face for anyone to see, and he's had a hard life with a lot of pain (who wants to join my murder squad to take out his dad?). It's no wonder he has kept his distance from people until he found someone he believed he could trust with it.

I love, too, that Tae Myungha's hangups have nothing to do with queerness--we probably won't ever know his dating history in the real world, but I think it's safe to say Yeowoon is not the first boy he has been in a relationship with. Instead, as suspected, his hesitation is all rooted in the fact that he's an adult in a game world he can't control, and he has no idea whether he can stay with Yeowoon. He is trying to be responsible, but the pull of those puppy eyes and pouty lips is simply too strong to resist (you're so valid for that, Myungha). I love that part of the game is also forcing Myungha to reckon with his own hurts, with his grandma and now his estranged mother challenging him to face his own trauma.

Which is why seeing these two bruised boys fall in love is oh so sweet. I love that even amongst the impending doom of the game malfunctions, we got to see them strengthen their bond, confirm how they feel, and grow comfortable with physical affection (though I would have liked to see more of that kissing lesson, show!). The kisses (complete with my beloved Gay Feelings sparkle effect), the hand holding, the flirting and public displays, it was all adorable.

And we needed that to hang onto when the game started experiencing server errors and Myungha became unmoored and unable to navigate the game universe effectively. It seems that his "friend" who trapped him in the game is indeed the one sending the anonymous mentions, and he's now messing with the game to change the conditions after Myungha has successfully altered Yeowoon's life. I like that this was rooted in another reveal about them discussing fate--Myungha is determined in his belief that our choices matter and we can always change our destiny, and it's clear his "friend" resents that stance and wants to show him he doesn't have control after all. And he is really not playing fair! Forcing Myungha to choose between his grandmother and Yeowoon is straight up cruel (our murder squad will also be taking this man out, we will be busy, besties).

Poor Myungha. I am so excited, so scared to see the big conclusion tomorrow, I trust that Myungha will find a way out of this situation. All I know is they need to find a way for our boys to get their happy ending or murder squad will be making another stop.

tragedy anon back again w u guess it!!! More tragedy!!! Im thinking rn of a Yuu who was always going to die in the end. Like being sent back to their world is the equivalent to a death sentence, and they can't stay in TWST because time always loops and they feel like shit for trapping everyone in a moment when they could all be living their lives if not for them.

Yuu who has always been doomed from the start.... Like maybe yuu has been framed for a crime back in their prev world and when they do come back their execution will commence or maybe it's the apocalypse and when they do come back it's truly only a matter of time when they die. Thinking of the TWST boys who goes to visit them only to find nobody..... But traces of them.... Though I feel like the first scenario is more brutal, imagine you go visit your friend and not only are they dead but they were sentenced to death for a crime you know damn well they did not commit and everyone else is rejoicing.

Rejoicing that they're gone. Rejoicing at the fact that they all had KILLED them. Did Yuu know this was going to happen? If they did why had they not told them?! (they will never know, no one ever will because no one ever asked when they were alive if they were alright and they sure as hell will never get an answer because Yuu is dead and they are gone. Forever. )

Ah tragedy annon, my Billy Shakes if you will, this made me THINK think. Doomed (hehe dyuumed) by the narrative is such a sexy trope. "If you were dead at the end of the story you were dead since the beginning" my beloved.

The main thing that made me think is that in country's that have the death penalty there's typically a lengthy appeals process + a ban on sentencing minors to it, even if they were charged as an adult, that makes it hard for me to see that being Yuu’s situation. That being said I agree that would be an awful, awful thing to come see. I could see someone like Malleus, who hates seeing other people happy when he isn't and is prone to causing storm with his magic, going full Netflix Castlevania and starting an apocalypse in Yuu's world while bringing their body home to be laid in state in Briar Valley. It's his right as King of the Abyss after all. Someone like Riddle might try proving your innocence, thinking about how restoring your good name is all he can do while the Octatrio extract their own kind of justice.

The apocalypse Yuu scenarios are ones I like but haven't played around with much just because post apocalyptic settings aren't my jam but! I could see there being a lot of anger at this Yuu for not telling them their situation. Of course now that the boys are older, they can reflect on their behavior and know why Yuu said nothing. But it's easier to blame Yuu at first than accept that they're grieving. It would take them a long time to work through that I think.

My personal preference for scenarios like these involve Yuu being mortally injured before coming to Twisted Wonderland, either in an accident or an attack, that results in their death when they return. I've also played around with terminal illness that's temporarily cured by going to Twisted Wonderland (my own health issues have made me like that less :/) that Yuu isn't recovered from when they return. Either way Yuu is dead when their friends finally figure out a way to get to their world and they have no way of being there for them. And they have no one to blame but themselves... unless.

Unless...

Maybe they could re-set time again?

Ranking Aegon Targaryens by how much I like them:

1. Aegon III- My boy. My beloved. My poor little meow meow. It’s not even a contest y’all. I love angsty characters and Aegon Dragonbane takes the cake. Also his relationships with his family are so sweet🥺 and he has such a pure heart🥺 So many characters respond to their suffering by turning to hate or revenge or violence or selfishness. But Aegon III? His spirit was broken, and in the wake of all that he clung not to any of those things, but to family and compassion and his duty to his people. He's so tragically beautiful and I want to know every last detail of his reign George please.

2. Aegon V- who doesn't adore Egg?? He's so pure, but also low key unhinged, and what a wonderful combo! He is the One True Pro-Smallfolk King of Westeros, and I love seeing him have to confront the elitist feudal mindset he was raised with in the Dunk and Egg novellas. Also the tragedy of his character is utterly heartbreaking-- doomed by the narrative, all of Egg's lofty and noble goals lead inevitably to Fire and Blood at Summerhall. I would sell my soul for the Dunk and Egg novellas to be completed and to read a POV of Summerhall.

3. Aegon IV- controversial placement I know, but hear me out— he’s really really funny. Like seriously his character is so wildly entertaining. The biggest menace in the history of Westeros, King of Spite, the Ultimate Hater. His dynamic with his family is fascinating too. I want so badly to read about the interactions between him and Daeron, Viserys, Aemon, Daemon… I also want a POV story for this guy, I feel like his thought process would just be the most out of pocket thing ever.

4. Aegon son of Elia- Okay I haven’t got to Young Griff yet in the books and so it's kind of hard to rank a character I only have secondhand fandom knowledge of. Based on what I know of him though he seems cool? Of course he probably isn't the real Aegon, but even so baby Aegon is a sad and heartbreaking figure (justice for Elia!!! justice for Rhaenys!!! justice for baby Aegon!!!).

5. Aegon the Uncrowned - this poor boy is so so tragic. Say it with me folks- fuck Maegor!!!

6. Aegon I - I mean he is fine I guess? I don't have much of a strong opinion on him. Mostly I just think he's boring.

7. Aegon son of Aerys II and Rhaella - he's a baby.

8. Aegon son of Alyssa and Baelon- he's a baby.

9. Aegon son of Alysanne and Jaehaerys- he's a baby.

10. Aegon Lord of Dragonstone- I literally know nothing about him.

11. An empty spot just to emphasize how much I hate the last character on this list.

12. Aegon II- Fuck this asshole so much. I probably would like Aegon II fine as a character if his fans weren’t so insufferable (not all of them, just a subset). Nothing will turn me off a morally grey or evil character faster then hordes of people crying that he's actually just a poor victim who never had any choice or agency. Guess what— he did. He was a grown ass man and the most powerful person in the realm, he chose to be a rapist, he chose to accept and keep a crown that wasn’t his, he chose to start a war that killed thousands. I have literally zero empathy for this selfish prick, every thing that happens to him he asked for and I wish he had gotten worse.

I just got the hugest RotE feels today. God damn it's been 4years since I've read Assassin's Fate, and I only started Assassin's Apprentice some days ago. But thinking about it all, honestly it's so hard. And sad. These books are so fucked up I feel remorse each time I reccommend them to a friend. Thank you ms Hobb, but why, whyy.

I will never stop thinking about Fitz, Beloved, Nettle, Bee, Dutiful, Patience and all the others :(.

Huge RotE rant + spoilers below:

It just makes me feel so sad each time I think about it, besides it being a fictionnal story, it rings so true and deep in my heart.

Fitz never got to die in his bed in Whittywoods next to Molly, he never got to raise Nettle like he wanted to, never got to become an adult at Patience's side, never grew a lot himself and stayed his old scarred and scared self even through some improvements, never got to grow up and old with Beloved, never got to say a proper goodbye to Nighteyes, never got to have the long conversations he should have had with Beloved, never got to raise Dutiful as his own, and the worst is that he never got to finish his days peacefully by Bee's side.

Also the fact that Beloved is so important to him, yet in the whole span of his 60+years life, he barely spent 6 with him. And how Patience mourned him for years when he was still alive, but depressed and empty. How Burrich thought he died to bandits for years after their ugly fight, and then just after being reunited with him, died for him and his son. Ugh. How after having his happy ever after, which actually was just an ever after, with Molly, he still didn't grow a good enough relationship with her to trust her wholly, and how he still was bitter and locked himself up in his office, wondering about Beloved and Nighteyes. How after all these years he still believed he didn't belong even with his own family. How he thought Bee was dead and went on an hateful and twisted path, damaging both him and his relationship with Beloved.

But then, even though all these bitter things it's still beautiful, worth it, because these books got to capture life's essence like a very very few other did. You never get what you want, especially if you don't admit it to yourself, and when you do achieve a dream or a huge thing, it's a sacrifice of other things that would have made you happy, but you are there and you have to carry on, and carve your own happiness with the bare flesh of your hands.

Patience desperatly tried to teach him instruments and he couldn't, and made a drawing of the cub she gifted him, as an excuse and present for her. Kettricken made the gardens beautiful again so she wouldn't be lonely. The Fool carved toys for children, made them happy, Amber carved jewels and wood and made it a life earning. She made friends with Paragon, and with a crow. Which was healed by Fitz, like many other animals, like a wolf he rescued, and all the hurting things he could care for on his path. Fitz raised a boy, supported him, fed chickens. Wrote a lot of books, a lot of letters. He helped Bee have access to her artistic abilities, protected her the best he could even if it was never enough. Did the same with Beloved, and all of the people he cared, it was never enough but the best he could have done and he himself was always enough

And what comfort can we get from all this ? Bee still has a family. Fitz and Beloved are finally whole and without limits. Molly died being loved, with a little girl she loved in her very own garden. Patience died moved to see Chivalry. Dutiful has a family he can count on. Nettle has a good man (and the best one I might say) by her side. But somehow it doesn't erase the sadness and bitterness of the journey. And tbh when she releases her next book I know it will mess me up all over again agh. Bee is my favorite, this is going to hurt a lottt.

Ugh why am I crying again. And don't get me started on Beloved's side of this story, or I will violently sob on my carpet. Fitz's is bittersweet but his is just plain sad.

he's the nicest person out there. he can kick your ass if he wants to. he lost his parents at a young age and is absolutely convinced that everyone he loves is doomed to die and he keeps seeing visions of people dying and he's told again and again that those he has wronged in a past life - which he doesn't even remember - are still out to get him and yet he has so much kindness left for the world??

also he can be such a little shit and knows exactly how to tease Phaya back I love him so goddamn much.

2) Kim (Kinnporsche)

was he also on my characters I'd hit with my car list? maybe. and what about it.

I love him so much. he's such a badass but he's such a loser. famous singer who falls for a fan he was supposed to be investigating but is too emotionally constipated to admit it. badass son of a mafia family who can kick ass but only if he wants to. who does it like him honestly

(it also helps that he's played by just about the prettiest man alive)

3) Babe (Pit Babe)

did I start watching this show ironically? yes. is every mention of alphas and mpreg and that mama/papa thing hitting me like a brick and causing me 9000 psychic damage every single time? also yes. did I absolutely fall in love with the show and just about every character in it? you bet your fucking ass I did.

but I especially love Babe. he's just so babygirl. special alpha man who has to act tough and strong but just wants to be babied by his dumbass loser (affectionate) alpha boyfriend. like, he's actually so goddamn soft?? I love him.

4) Guy (Bake Me Please)

I think we all knew this was coming. I was literally gushing about him for half of the episodes. Guy my beloved. that show did not deserve you.

he spends the entire show supporting his crush's every decision and trying to make sure he's okay literally how could you not love this man

(yes he was a petty bitch for like 5 minutes there but he immediately apologized for it the next episode. properly. unlike certain other people-)

5) Sprite (Twins)

he's so himbo coded. himbo of all himbos. the himboest. not a brain cell in that head. he's my little dumbass I love him.

he deserves so much better than what he's being put through. someone please just love and support him for who he is. and also take him away from that family

6) Wei Wuxian (The Untamed)

MY BELOVED. I could write essays about him. he's such a great character I love him so fucking much. if you ever had to bear witness to me talking about him.. I am so sorry.

sassy emo bitch with a flute and a tragic backstory who's seen as evil by just about everyone but only ever had the best intentions. absolute fucking dumbass. kicks ass. always smiling despite the circumstances. loves his siblings so damn much. doomed by the narrative. what more could you possibly ask for

7) Zhou Zishu (Word of Honor)

I'm trying so damn hard to keep this list to one character per show and it really took me a while to decide if I wanted to include him or Wen Kexing but ultimately it was Zhou Zishu for me

just.. god. him. assassin sect leader just trying to retire who keeps getting dragged into the biggest bullshit but doesn't really mind bc the bullshit comes with a mysterious pretty man. also that whole god damn nail thing. I have so many thoughts and feelings about that but this post would get too long if I got started on those-

he is quite fucking literally a reincarnated cat, of course I love him. I could list reasons for why I love him but it would be the exact same reasons just about every cat person on earth lists for why they love cats so. but here's a quick summary, just in case:

petty. dramatic. knocks over glasses. silently loves you so fucking much.

9) Tew (My Dear Gangster Oppa)

I really did not expect to love him this much? greenest of green flags (except for the plot line we shall not talk about). can and will kill people and is fine with it (seriously it is so refreshing to see a mafia character not having a huge moral dilemma about being in the mafia). both a badass mafia man and a gamer guy who doesn't know how to talk to people and is absolutely whipped for his gamer bf.

also scars make a person just about 110x more attractive I don't make the rules. even if the scars are weird and yellow, it's the thought that counts.

10) Tian (A Tale of Thousand Stars)

I? love him??

I just love how he sets out to do something for someone he didn't even know because he feels like this person deserves that much at least and how he ends up genuinely loving and caring for those kids and the village and this inner conflict he's having the entire time but hiding oh so well and how he actually calls out his parents on their rich people bs and-
