I shared a bit of my TK’s 30th Birthday fic last week (TK Strand’s Sweet 16 (times 2) (minus 2) can be read on ao3 😇) so ahead of tomorrow’s birthday episode, I’m sharing a bit from The Wonder of It, my fic where Carlos takes TK on a surprise trip to Banff for his 31st birthday 🎂

“Happy birthday, cariño,” Carlos mumbles, kissing the top of TK’s head before sinking down next to him and accepting half of the blanket. “You’re up early, I thought I’d have to wake you.”

“It’s my birthday,” TK says, sounding awed. He slouches over and leans his head on Carlos’s shoulder.

“I know,” Carlos replies, amused.

“Thirty one,” TK sighs. “I’m getting old.”

“I don’t think that counts as old, baby.”

“There was a while there where I wasn’t sure I’d even make it past my twenties.” His tone is wistful, but there’s no self pity or regret. TK has long since come to terms with his past.

Carlos is proud of how secure he is in himself, in who he is and who he used to be. Of how self aware his incredibly strong husband is.

“Sometimes I wonder what 21-year-old TK would think. If someone told him he’d be sitting here at 31, six years sober, living in Texas…” he wrinkles his nose in that adorable way of his. “Married to the hottest, sweetest man I’ve ever met.”

“Shut up.”

“It’s true,” he says in a sing-song tone, reaching for Carlos’s hand and nuzzling further into his shoulder. “I’m incredibly lucky.”

They sit in comfortable silence for a while, enjoying the peaceful early morning and the view of the mountains surrounding the lake. TK nuzzles in closer, wrapping his arms around Carlos for warmth.

“I’m lucky too,” Carlos says eventually. At the inquisitive noise from TK he continues his thought, “I’m lucky because you did make it, baby. You fought for yourself and you came out so strong. You’re resilient and you’re brave. After everything you’ve been through you’re still so sweet, so compassionate and loving.”

He pauses to kiss TK’s red cheek. “You’re my miracle. I wouldn’t be here—” He gestures to the view before them. “In Canada, in December with anybody else. I wouldn’t have this beautiful life that we’ve built. So thank you, TK, for saving yourself. And for saving me a little bit too.”

“Baby,” TK says, pulling himself closer into Carlos’s embrace.

“I know,” Carlos reassures. “Let's go inside.”

Today is my daughter's 30th birthday 🎂. We had originally planned to visit Longwood Gardens and go to dinner, but we obviously can't do that. Her boyfriend and friends from work are taking her out tonight, and if she's not too hungover tomorrow, my sister is taking us to dinner, so it'll work out pretty good considering!

The mechanic has been working on her car, but as it is, he keeps adding to the parts. He managed to buy $920 worth of parts, and yeah she probably needs them but not all at once.

I paid him $500 today but he won't give us the car till he gets the money for parts back. I told him to PLEASE not add anything else!

Sarah asked her friends, if anyone is getting her a gift, just give her money so she can pay on the car. Let's hope it helps so I can stop whining here!

Puneet Rajkumar , the younger son of the legendary icon of Kanada cinema , Raj Kumar,  and a star in his own right ,  passed away today .. he was just 46 years, and this has put all of us in great shock ..

the family of late RajKumar have ever been extremely close ..

Hello Pro Dance Gakuen Season 12 Recording

Good Morning

I made a mistake

It was evening Evening

I made a mistake when typing "G" I'm exhausted🫣🫣

My body has felt like it was slammed from yesterdays and this mornings lessons,

We recorded for Hello Pro Dance Gakuen!

It was really packed time! I can't believe it happened one day

The content we recorded was really dense

Amazing, amazing

I was excited and ended up being out of breath but,

Within that, I seriously don't remember anything, I was laughing a lot at the time,

Laughing gives you energy, right!!

I really thought this and said it aloud, And then Ruli-chan laughed 😂lol

The fact is that it got serious,

So much so but,

It was really really fun

Everyone in Dance Gakuen as well, and the teachers as well, Thank you as always, for making it a serious space

Dance is fun,

From today, it seems like it will air on October 17th🕺

I'm thankful for every season
