The resentment will grow until it bursts. The phone keeps ringing and he looks at it, looks at the picture of you smiling at him on the screen. He takes a deep breath. If he doesn’t want to lose you, this is what he needs to do. Maybe it’s wrong. But at least he’s not repeating the same action over and over and hoping for a different outcome.

i just wanted to drop by and say this and leave it up to your decision on how to proceed. i myself used to use and create c.ai bots but i have since stopped for now. i respect your dedication making the character bots, and maybe you're not aware of this, but there is a huge possibility that their dataset foundation is curated by scraping a lot of people's writing without permission and credit.

afaik, character.ai themselves have not made any clarifications or publications, but i doubt they would say anything if they did use the same dataset, because it wouldn't reflect good on themselves.

anyway, i really hate to be that person but i just wanted to let you know. i chose not to support or promote them in any way because i myself am a writer and the thought that me and my friends' work are posssibly being scraped without my permission to be used to train ais makes me uncomfortable. sorry for rambling and thanks for listening! congrats on graduating nursing school and i hope you'll have a relaxing personal time this holiday season!! ♡ 

hello, anon. thank you for bringing this to my attention and thank you for the well wishes, i hope the same for you! enjoy the holidays, lovely! this post is kind of long, so i put it beneath a cut.

i think it's crazy how developed ai has become in recent years. it's literally been like a year and a few months and we've seen how advanced it's become with both photo ai generators and sites like chatgpt for writing. to be honest, it's alarming and it's disheartening to see how fast it's developing while being built, nearly entirely, on stolen works.

since i am a writer and an artist, i feel a certain type of way about ai, but to be honest, i'm in a very grey area. as far as artwork goes, i REFUSE to acknowledge artists who use it and denounce its use entirely since, in my opinion, it's appalling to take someone's passion projects and extort it for your own gain. i'm also a little biased towards the artwork side of ai since a few of my friends are well-known/popular artists on twitter and other socials and have had instances where their own artwork was stolen and fed to ai generators.

when it comes to writing, on the other hand, i feel i'm a little looser on my bias. now, i'm not talking about using ai to write the ENTIRETY of your fic, chapters, book, whatever—but if you use it in a resourceful sense, there are some benefits. when you find yourself in a tough situation as to how to progress a story, seeking a blurb from a generator could aid greatly in that. also, if you're not too confident in the way your sentence sounds, maybe use a paraphrasing site to rewrite your sentence until you're satisfied. with those benefits said, that's as far as i go with leniency on ai in writing. any further usage beyond a last resort resource is denounced by me.

truthfully, i believe that on both ends of the spectrum, ai will NEVER be able to replicate the passion, hard work, sweat, and tears that go into some of these works, and it's deplorable that it's come as far as it has. unfortunately, as things progress, i only see ai becoming more of an issue.

as far as creating bots on c.ai though, i had an *idea* that these bots were being used to train ai, but only on the c.ai website itself. though, in hindsight, it was very naive of me to believe that they were ONLY being used to train the bots on the c.ai website alone. truthfully, i want to wait for more information on the c.ai involvement to come up before making any decisions, but if i'm honest, when it comes to c.ai, i don't really care. a lot of my bots are used to feed my own delusions and be horny with fictional characters, (i go outside i swear) and if c.ai wants to steal my messages of big daddy true form sukuna blowing my little twink's back out to feed a silly little generator, then i guess they can go right on ahead. 💀

to bring this response to a close, at the end of the day, i know myself and the passion i have for both artwork and writing, and i'll be damned if let a series of 1's and 0's ruin that for me. as unfortunate as it is, ai usage is a reality that a lot of us will have to come to terms with soon if a change isn't made in the near future. as far as myself is concerned, i'll continue to write on both tumblr and c.ai and ride my little delulu wave until shit hits the fan.

Tempest Little Mister blurbs #3 (21-30)

Mr. Hunt The first of the new generation, Mr. Hunt was made for an action-packed beginning. Love of cryptids exploded when he was made, and so he was designed to help track down and hunt these creatures of urban legend, from bigfoot to the chupacabra to Mothman. He has recently suffered an attack that has left him unable to use an eye and has filled him with a massive mistrust towards people, especially if they were patches with a red white and black circular pattern.

Ms. Lake Ms. Lake is one of the more tragic Little Misters. Originally, she was made for edutainment. She had nice blue clothes, and her long hair swooped around and formed a small pond to house smaller aquatic specimens. Unfortunately while in service she stumbled upon a murderous couple dumping a body. Even though she didn’t know this, the couple lured her to the water edge and proceeded to drown and attack her, leaving her body seemingly permanently disfigured. *

Mr. Shadow  There exists a sign that is periodically found around the Factory floor. “Feeling a bit drained? Don’t forget to check for lurkers in your shadow!” This was made to remind workers of Mr. Shadow. Mr. Shadow is one of the few Little Misters to have an almost/complete lack of human features, and that is because he is 2D. Mr. Shadow is his namesake, and can travel from shadow to shadow. Can’t find him but still feel fine? Maybe keep an ear out for his low, sinister laughter.

Little Mr. Bone When Three left Little Mr. Halloween was feeling very lonely, for there was no one that could celebrate the spooky season with him. Enter Little Mr. Bone, A small skeleton that likes to play and receive lots of sweets! He is oddly well-versed in first aid, and will always be up for a fun game. Just don’t play hide and seek in a haunted house attraction, since he can dim his golden hues to blend in with the props.

Little Ms. Ghost  Scared of spectres? Phobia of phantoms? Little Ms. Ghost is right for you if you wish to get over that fear of yours. Despite her small appearance and her translucent nature, she was created as a personal guardian, and she will do whatever it takes to make sure you are protected by everything that may go bump in the night. Just make sure you never extinguish her lantern.

Mx. Clockwork  According to rumors, a human worked the clocktower of the old factory and got crushed. Since they were such a key worker, Dr. Wondertainment made them into Mx. Clockwork. Dr. Wondertainment has gone on record to deny this, and does not tolerate the spreading of this rumor. Mx. Clockwork bears a unique design, with a human “shell” that houses a wide assortment of gears inside that are constantly turning. It appears they are the inspiration of the Troupe of Shadow’s sideshow member “Gears”

Mx. Helium Lighter than air, the floaty Mx. Helium is always up for a good time. Usually not seen without their three large heart balloons or a weight strapped to their waist, you should normally find Mx. Helium hanging around the factory’s hangar space or Party Practice Room. They’re the most ditzy out of the Little Misters, and is often found stuck to the ceiling for misplacing their weights. Considering how much they bump into the ceiling, it’s amazing how their pristine white clothing is not dirtied up.

Mr. Silent  Sometimes one needs some time to vent to others about all their troubles in the world, and Mr. Silent would love to help you. Plain dressed, friendly body language and the inability to speak in any regard. Rumors of the workers say that his permanent silence is to hide a sonic scream that can absolutely shatter walls. This has by no means been proven, but it does seem like an interesting thing to think about, no?

Ms. Mouse Did you know that fleas are actually what spread the plague, and they rode on the rats? Well, not a lot of people know this, and blame the scampering squeakers. Not only that, but mice are viewed as vermin anyway, so how must this problem be solved? How about a person that has mouse ears? Ms. Mouse will be here to save the day! With a quick song you’ll see the mice follow after her like the Pied Piper. There’s totally nothing else about her…right?

10. Mr. Nurse War is constantly happening. People suffer from the outside world, and people take their anger or selfishness out on the Little Misters. Mr. Nurse was made to help both. With tired eyes and an equally tired expression, Mr. Nurse is often bustling around, tending to wounds on battlefields, civil unrest, and various other tragedies. He has endured much more than the average person or Little Mister. Scratch his messy grey hair, he needs some relax time.

A bunch of absolute suckers.They are coddlers for sure but even though their babes are a wee bit spoiled, they will be tiny angels sent from above- but like- the type to swindle you with an angelic grin and tiny cherub face.

(The attendants tend not to check once they notice he’s not exactly a human.) This is heaven, a day full of fun and excitement that you can share with someone. And you won’t let the rest of the world ruin it, even if it truly were just you and Hyunwoo against everyone else. Wouldn’t you be happier with someone else? He asks today again. You flick his forehead, gently, learned your lesson about what the metal hiding under the silicone skin can do to your, in comparison, fragile body. You should hang out with other people more, he chides with a soft sigh. There's a smile on his face though. Nah, humans are overrated, you shake your head, You’re more important to me.

There’s some strange meaningfulness to lying down after a hot shower. You can feel the warmth lazily escaping your body. It’s so slow in its movements, the small kisses of cold air lay on the naked skin undetected. All your mind can process right now is how tired you are, how much you’re looking forward to the state of weightlessness sleep will offer.

The sound of shower being turned off is just a background song. You’re watching the specks of dust flying through the room like little astronauts in space. One lands on your nose, the first man on the moon, before your nostrils catapult it back into the nothingness.

“I was thinking we could sleep in tomorrow.” The voice travels through the room, until its owner enters your vision.

Kihyun is drying his hair with a towel, the manner slightly aggressive - an opposite to his relaxed tone. You’re watching him finally drop the material on a nearby chair, then straighten his shoulders and look at your sleepy form.

“What do you think?”

“It’s a yes from me.” 

Only now do you feel the pain accumulated from a day full of walking. Apparently holidays aren’t about relaxing, but exploring. At least, according to people who choose to travel to big cities. Kihyun sits down on the bed, right next to you. His hair is a chaotic nest of wet strands. Without hesitation, you reach up to fix it gently.

“And then we could get a breakfast at some small cafe.” He smiles, leaning forward to rest on his elbows. “You know, croissants and coffee type of food?”

You hum in answer, blinking your eyes to get rid of the sleepy sand. As much as you want to succumb to the tiredness, you also want to appreciate the man in front of you.

“Are we feeling sleepy?” His gums show when you hum again. “No, you can’t go to sleep yet!”

Without waiting for your answer, Kihyun puts one of his legs on your other side, then climbs on top of you, successfully trapping you underneath his weight and in-between his arms. In other words - there is no exit for you. Not that you are looking for one. His face is centimetres away from yours, save for the barrier of his glasses. Giggly, you take them off to carefully place them on a night table.

“Better safe than sorry.”

He’s giggling back, happy just as much as you are in this moment. His nose repetitively nudges yours, feet tangle together, minty breaths mix in the little space they have. When you get lost in his warm gaze, Kihyun brings you back with a gentle kiss.

“Now you can go to sleep.”

His fingers reach to the side to turn the lights off, and with a soft “click” the darkness takes over. You can still see Kihyun’s silhouette as he slips down your body. He’s not that keen on parting ways either, instead embracing you from the side. With a small dose of struggle you pull the duvet over the two of you. Only then you can finally turn to face him properly. To say goodnight and smile once more. Because it feels perfect to be with him like that.

so as we know, recently hyunjoon, woojin, and hoseok (mx) have left their groups (all of whom i write for). i’m kind of iffy about doing this, but to respect the decisions of having left their groups, i will not write for these three beginning next comebacks. for example, i will continue to write for woojin until dec. 7, and the others whenever their former groups release a new album.
