Author's Note: Hi Anon! This request is great and thank you so much for it, it definitely is good enough! :) I had fun writing and creating this, even though at the end it's kind of different than what I firstly intended to do. The original idea was to make Y/N very Barbie coded, but at the end I'd say she's Barbie inspired and I focused more on the fashion icon part of the request. “Babe.” You tried again a little louder, he didn’t budge. You sat up straighter on the couch, the blanket on your lap shifting and exposing your knee. He could hear you, you knew he could. The TV was paused, and nothing around you was making any noise. Frustration wasn’t the word you’d use to describe what you were feeling, but something bubbled in your chest at him blatantly ignoring you.

“Matt.” You said.

He whipped around and glared at you. “Just get it, it’s right fucking there.” He snapped. You were taken aback for a moment at his tone, but you studied him for a split second before you reacted.

His under eyes were a little darker than usual, a deep crease in between his eyebrows, his jaw was tight and his lips were set straight. You frowned and tilted your head to the side.

“What’s wrong?” You asked, your voice soft.

Matt sighed and ran his hands over his face. He was quiet as he rubbed his eyes and slowly walked towards the couch. His hand reached for your phone last second as he rounded the couch and dropped down next to you.

“Bad day, but that isn’t an excuse to treat you like that. I’m sorry, love.” He mumbled, dropping down and resting his head in your lap. You carded your fingers through his hair as he adjusted the blanket.

“Do you wanna talk about it?” You asked, the crease between Matt’s brows loosening as you scratched lightly at his scalp. He hummed and closed his eyes.

“Nothing really happened, I just feel…bad.” He mumbled. You nodded and continued your movements, using your other hand to run your fingertips up and down his shoulders.

“I love you.”

You knew that more often than not when Matt had bad days, he just needed quiet. Quiet and touch were the two things that you were more than happy to give him, for as long as he needed the comfort.

It was evident when he began to feel a bit better, as he would hum softly at each little tug on his hair and scratch to his scalp, nuzzling into your lap and wrapping his arms around the bottom of your legs.

“I love you, too.” He finally answered, lifting his head to press a sweet kiss to your knee. You smiled down at him.

“There he is. You done being a grouch?” You teased. Matt scoffed against your lap and sighed heavily.

“Yeah, now can you press play?”
