What is this project about?

This project is somewhat similar to an AU — instead of one Yuu, there are many, and they all live at Ramshackle together. In other words, chaos is prone to happen... (hence the project's name)!

Other than that, it follows the canon storyline from the game.

What exactly is the focus of this project?

The project focuses on the members' Yuus and their relationships with each other. The canon characters and OCs from dorms other than Ramshackle obviously play an important role, too! We develop friendships and rivalries between our OCs, come up with scenarios, and also have an official OC x canon ship list!

Apart from all this, the main purpose is to make friends within the fandom, showcase and further develop your OCs, and discover other people's characters!

How do I join?

Send me a DM! Please DO NOT ask to join or submit OCs via my ask box.

Who can join?

Anyone who isn't racist, anti-LGBTQ+, or a proshipper.

You might also not want to join if you're a non-sharer of a main cast member/get triggered when seeing them paired up with someone else/have a character whose OC x canon ship is essential to their lore, as all of the 21 main characters have an official ship by now.

What types of OCs can I submit?

All types of OCs that aren't fanchildren or fandorm OCs are allowed!

No matter whether it's a Yuu, someone from another dorm, a faculty member, or a student from another school — everyone is welcome!

What ships can I submit?

Any OC x canon ship with a canon character who hasn't been taken yet (here is our official OC x canon ship list).

A canon character can date only one OC unless both of the OCs' owners decide to make it a polyship.

Please DO NOT fight over a canon character with another member/OC!!!

OC x OC ships are obviously allowed as well.

Please keep in mind that all OCs shipped with an adult must be of age themselves and that Ortho and Gidel ships are not allowed.

You don't have to at all! This project is meant to be fun and not a duty.

We do! Any member can suggest server-exclusive events to me and I'll manage them.

We don't have an official Ramshackle prefect. Grim is pretty much the dorm's shared "pet".

As for OCs' friendships with/general closeness to canon characters, most of it is being established in the project's Discord server.

If you don't have Discord, I can give you an overview of the relationships in our DMs.

Is there an established lore that this project follows?

Other than the fact that all the Yuus live together in Ramshackle at the same time and that we have established ships, there isn't.

In order to make the project as easy and fun as possible (especially due to the large number of OCs), we don't have a defined storyline and focus on situations rather than larger plots.

When does this project take place?

Primarily during the same time/school year as the game. Scenes can take place before the prologue, way after book 7, during any of the books, or at another point entirely!

However, one thing stays the same no matter what: the Yuus presently don't know why they're in Twisted Wonderland, and the major mysteries remain hidden from sight...

Are fandorms allowed?

No, as we're trying to keep the school's overall setting as close to canon as possible.

Are fanschools allowed?

Yes, but they're going to play a rather minor part in the project.

Hello all!! With the event nearly upon us, I figured it was about time (finally) to post a sort of FaQ for the event! So buckle up, everyone, this post is gonna be a bit of a long one.

What is the event timeline?

March 14th - March 28th: Mod applications

April 21st - May 4th: Signup period

April 21st: Discord opens

May 5th - May 18th: Assignments sent out

May 19th - June 29th: Gift making period

June 9th - June 29th: Pinch-hits period

June 30th - July 13th: First gift posting period

June 30th - July 20th: Second gift posting period

August 31st: Treat posting deadline

Is there an age limit to the event?

Since this event is run through Tumblr and an event Discord, the age limit to join will be 13 if you wish to join the Discord, but if you will only be participating via Tumblr, there will be no age minimum in place. To create/receive any NSFW gifts, on the other hand, the age limit will be 18 and we ask that your gift be censored when posted on Tumblr if it is a visual art medium (though if you wish to DM your giftee with an uncensored version, go right ahead!).

What is definitely not allowed?

• Themes of incest (canonical or in relation to headcanons specified in sign-ups)

• Themes of pedophilia (referring to ships containing minors, such as Child/Adult, Teen/Adult, Child/Child, or Teen/Child pairings, with an exception to platonic or romantic pairings consisting of only characters between the ages of 14 to 17 for Teen/Teen relationships)

• Themes of underage drinking/drug use (consumption of substances by characters under the age of 18)

• Themes of abuse (physical/mental/sexual harm inflicted on a character or mutually between multiple characters involved)

• Usage of slurs (words used in a derogatory fashion against a character in regards to aspects of who or what they are)

• Lack of consent (while dubious consent may be allowed if requested in your sign up, a lack of consent entirely will not be tolerated)

• AI generated art (this applies to fanart generated by AI, fanfic created using chat bots, and anything else along these lines)

What are the gift requirements?

There will be a few options for what kind of gift you can make, as well as the option to DM a mod either here or on the discord once it opens if your preferred gift type is not listed or if you would like to make your giftee an extra gift of a non-listed art type. The options and their requirements are listed as such!!

Art - clean sketch with lineart minimum (or whatever point of the process this would be in your art style if lineart is not applicable)

Writing - 1,000 word count minimum (if you intend to write multiple chapters, you must have at least 2/3 of your total story written by posting period and the first chapter must be no less than 800 words long)

Playlist - 2hr length minimum

Moodboards/Stimboards - minimum of 2 boards equaling out to 18 elements

Webweave - at least 1 board containing 10 elements

Video Edit - at least 45 seconds in length

Poem - 100 word count minimum (or multiple shorter poems with a total of no less than 100 words)

Other Original Content (DM a mod on the Tumblr or once the Discord opens for more information on alternative gift suggestions such as cosplay videos, original songs, animations, or other such ideas)

What counts as "yuri"?

For the purposes of this event, we will not be accepting genderbends or trans headcanons of canonically cis male characters. Yuri would include any pairing or character who would be eligible to fit into either the Sapphic or Trixic umbrellas.

What if I just don't have the time?

Well, if you're worried about not being available during the creation period but still want to participate, you're more than welcome to sign on as a beta reader (not just for looking over/helping out with fics!) or a pinch hitter/bench warmer!! Beta readers are anyone who would like to help someone out in the creation of their gift, such as glancing it over for any errors, brainstorming ideas, or other helpful things!! A pinch hitter (also known sometimes as a bench warmer) is someone who steps up in the event that someone who was signed up previously decides that - for whatever reason - they would be unable to finish the gift on time, and it is given to someone else to make on a more time-crunched schedule!! Both of these roles are very helpful and valuable to have in an event like this, so if you aren't sure about joining the event as a primary member, keep in mind these roles may also be options for you! Beta readers will be a Discord-only role, but pinch hitter roles will be available to anyone interested on both Discord and Tumblr, just be sure to respond quickly or someone else may take the offered hit before you!

Is this a Tumblr-only event?

Yes and no. While the event is run on Tumblr, you don't have to only post your gift here during the posting period! Edits may be posted to YouTube/Tiktok, fics/poems may be posted to Ao3/Wattpad/ffdn, playlists can be uploaded to Spotify/YouTube, wherever else you would normally post your content!! The only thing asked of you is that you don't post any spoilers before the posting period begins. No "here's an update on an edit/fanart I'm making for a gift exchange" videos/screenshots or the like, no posting poetry/fic snippets, and keep any playlists made on Spotify privated, for example!! You'll be DMed on Discord with your assignment if you join the Discord, and DMed your assignment on Tumblr if you don't! No stress either way.

Is joining the Discord required?

You don't have to join the discord to participate if you don't want/are unable to!! The discord is just a hub for those participating to talk about things and interact with one another, but if you aren't able/don't want to join for whatever reason, that's perfectly okay! There will be a deadline countdown every so often on the Tumblr, and on the Discord as well, so those not in the server will stay in the loop on that front!! If you don't plan on joining the Discord, just mark that down in your sign up sheet and everything will be just fine.

Will there be an Ao3 collection?

There will be a collection you're free to add your gifts to if you so wish, but it will be moderated so only those with given access can approve it into the collection during the posting period! If you'd like to add a fic, fanart, series of poems, or whatever else to the collection, feel free to do so and it'll stay anonymous until the posting period begins!!

Regarding the nft stuff with Laserhawk, can you clarify more on that?

Sure! It's worth noting some of these screenshots are not mine and are instead from a mutual in a server I'm in, but I'll go ahead and have them under a read more.

Here is what I mentioned regarding the contest. Earlier this year in the Discord server, in order to get various merch such as the art book and keychain, participants were required to spend their money. Anything that mentioned Sandbox = NFTs as they previously did a collab with the company for skins in that particular NFT game.

It's worth noting that there was also apparently an ID/call card generator that mentioned minting was involved. Multiple people did not know this and accidentally did that. However, any info regarding it I have only heard tidbits on. If you have further information, feel free to add onto this. I believe it's on the Eden Online site, but I would rather not risk messing with that and accidentally minting anything.

Here is more information on the game via crypto news articles, confirming the game the tweet was talking about is this. Even prior to this, various videos were made of a live event in May on the official Twitter. Here are the screenshots I took at the time. For those, multiple replies are hidden such as here. Note also the 'We want you!' in the banner in the back being the same as the one on the website.

Also, while technically unrelated to you question, a few people wanted to ask me what I meant by the game focusing on the Niji 6 and how that was confirmed. For that, it's because they are the very first thing you see alongside Rayman when promoting the Web3 game on the official website such as here. The video itself shows a PC booting up and a sprite of Red's helmet. There were also articles discussing it further, but have been struggling to find them. Again, feel free to add onto this if you have further info.

With all this said, please keep in mind my intentions are not to say 'If you like the series you're bad' or whatever. It is instead point out the various ways Ubisoft has attempted to trick it's fanbase into supporting a dead, environmentally bad market despite everyone I know being against it. It has gotten to the point where they are trying to bait both the series fans and Rayman fans into caring, whether that be through teasing a nonconfirmed Season 2 or nostalgia baiting. It is disrespectful at best and outright predatory at worst. I genuinely feel bad for those who enjoy the show. I want to spread awareness as someone whose favorite creators ended up also doing NFTs when it was a big thing.

PROGRESS TRACKER: KRIS'S POKEGEAR JOURNAL CATCH LOG: ENCOUNTERS

RULES & IMPORTANT STUFF

First and foremost, this is NOT a typical RP blog. For the time being, this blog will serve as a first-person journal for Kris's trainer journey through the Kanjoh region. Afterwards, she will be more open to typical postgame/timeskipped RP. Journal entries will be tagged with (GEAR JOURNAL.)

HOWEVER, timeline-wise, she will be venturing out around the same time as other Johto protags--so this blog will still be open to relevant gameverse asks and shorter conversations during the initial journey, if relevant. Feel free to drop into her inbox!

This Nuzlocke will be run using POKEMON CRYSTAL LEGACY, an enhanced ROM of Pokemon Crystal. [If you want to try it for yourself, check out this video! Major props to the creator!!]

Nuzlocke rules can be found under the cut or in a separate [TBA] post!!

CORE NUZLOCKE RULES

This run will use Crystal Legacy's Hard Mode. Leveling will be capped at the next strongest Gym Leader, and set mode will be used. (Items also cannot be used during battles, which is subject to change at my discretion.)

Once Pokeballs are able to be obtained, only one catchable encounter is allowed per area. (Static encounters--such as Sudowoodo and some legendaries--are excluded.)

There is no immediate permadeath in this run (see below.) The rules of the Nuzlocke may be bent, but only to make a better story. I have the final say.

All that said, Kris may not make it through the entire game, and that's okay. Not everyone can take on the League challenge and win!

NUZLOCKE BUFFS/DEBUFFS (KRIS TRAITS)

++ Extremely well-studied - Kris is a top student and has knowledge of type matchup charts, Gym Leader Pokemon, and general battle strategy.

++ Resilient - If any of Kris's Pokemon fall in battle, they will make death saving throws following the fight. On success, they will live and one failure will automatically be counted towards any subsequent death saves by that Pokemon. Instead of granting one full revival from death, any Revive items will instead grant guaranteed death save success if a Pokemon should need it. (Revives are rare and cannot be bought in this run.)

[NOTE: Pokemon cannot be killed during League matches--battles in Gyms, the Elite Four, etc.--and will faint instead. These battles are probably highly monitored and regulated.]

++ Box Techie - Kris is a big Bill enthusiast and knows her way around a PC as a result. Any Pokemon caught over the party limit are put in storage and can be swapped out with active party members at any time, level cap pending.

+/- Overprepared - Kris can use items during battle. However, when entering a location with a Mart, she must spend all of her available money, if able.

+/- Curious - Kris will explore as much area as possible, and attempt to talk with every character possible, even rival trainers or enemies.

-- Fear of Growlithe and Houndour - Kris will automatically attempt to run from any wild Pokemon battle involving the above Pokemon, until that fear is overcome somehow.

Be respectful. This is a hobby for me. Life is miserable and stressful enough, so just be kind. This extends to my friends and partners on here. Again, life is stressful enough, I do NOT want to add ooc or fandom drama to the mix.

Be patient. That being said, please be patient. I’ve got a few RP blogs, a novel I’m trying to finish writing by the end of the year, a full-time job, and a special needs sister I help look after. I will be slow. You can send a reminder, but please wait three (3) days before messaging me.

Blog is not mutually exclusive, anyone can send in asks or prompts. Yes, even personals. I mainly only block bots. However, please do not take my headcanons, my moodboards as your own please. Personals, please don’t reblog my roleplay threads.

This is a multiship blog. All of my partners and friends can tell you that I’m a ship whore. I love shipping. All the ships between characters here are separate unless discussed and agreed upon ahead of time by all writing partners. There is no cheating.

Wait. How many levels of friendship do you have? And how does one become friends?

Aight sit down bc I have hyperfocus mode on and my leg is bouncing quicker than the speed of light. I have 5 levels of friendship:

1 ) awkward i-don't-know-how-comfortable i can be w/ you yet and i'm also adhd so i will forget to reply your messages sometimes and worry abt you thinking i hate you

2) i know a bit abt you and you know a bit about me. We exchange memes and wait to get a keysmash laugh reply. After a while, we get either one of us reblogging the meme the other sent, or we simply Know they were seen and are thus no longer plagued by the worries of level 1

3) We start having recurring themes/jokes in our convos. This is the best part bc I then know what to talk or ask about to get u going "oh! topic i enjoy!"; also, i know now your interests/hyperfixations/area of expertise and therefore you become my source of knowledge in this particular area so that a) I can learn from a friend and b) you get to infodump all that fun stuff no one ever asks you about.

(shoutout to my marine biologist buddy who knows everything about those underwater critters, the friend w/ animals who explains animal husbandry and the dnd pal who knows what all these dice do, love y'all <3)

4) We don't talk often, but we know timezones/work/studying is a bitch so we Get It. Starting convos is easy bc we know enough abt each other and are protected from most of the mortifying ordeal of being known by the computer screen and physical distance, which is also a curse bc goddamn, you must be fun to hang out with but there u are, in a whole other continent.

We frequently plague each other with cursed content. I might have 28% of a crush on you bc you know me better than most people IRL do. If we have mutual blorbos, we spend hours coming up w/ fic/scenarios for them, which feels as whimsical and lighthearted as playing dolls in a playground with a friend you just met but also feels like has been your soul companion since your previous lifetime. it's day for me when its night for you so the only thing we're granted is a sliver of time in which we squeeze the most meaningful glance via a discord stream of me playing some shooter game.

One day you might leave Tumblr or just shift into a different friend group or discord server, and I'll have a chunk of knowledge about you and nothing to do with it, and so will you. It was real. I hope we meet again. If we don't, I hope you find your happiness somewhere.

5) All that but you actually survived the test of time and the shift of interests and we remain friends bc we are actually connected to each other's personalities and tastes and we make the effort to keep the friendship going, even if I now talk of a fandom you're not a part of, and you got married and had a kid and now doesn't have as much time but you still find a way to send the occasional message or drop in for a chat. We've seen each other's actual faces on video. I tell you my top-secret stories and you tell me yours. I constantly refer to you in convos w/ ppl IRL like "oh, my friend from [country]" said- to the point where they already have their own idea of you too. I love u and you know it.
