For the Headcanons A-Z, if you don't mind, a H for Natori, please?

A-Z Headcanons | Accepting | Hero - What makes someone a hero in their eyes? Who is their biggest hero in life? Why? Do they consider themselves to be heroic?

i think most likely, in much the same way he idealizes romance, he does the same with the topic of heroism. which means in a lot of ways baron is maybe kind of hilariously the very picture of a hero to him laughs-- dashing, compassionate, charming, and always ready to leap into the fray to come to someone’s rescue, even if they’re a stranger. their heroic deeds don't necessarily have to be grandiose gestures, but they do have to be courageous and bold. it isn't enough simply to be kind, there must be an element of daring and fearlessness in their endeavors as well. continuing on that, i imagine he often expects them to be quite independent, able to draw strength from some inner pool of confidence, and therefore not easily swayed or broken

and perhaps as expected bc of that, no, he doesn't tend to consider himself a heroic individual. he's far too meek for that. he can be helpful, kind, and downright altruistic, and he can be quite stubborn on occasion in his quiet drive to express and cherish those traits, but he can not be heroic

‘heroic’ implies direct and assertive action, not standing by in a position of support (tho don’t assume that means he necessarily thinks little of his own usual part to play-- as much romance and idealism as he might stuff into the concept of heroism and heroes themselves, he very much feels that hearth-guarding duty, if you will lmao, is one worth admiring, although outwardly it is still in his nature to wave it off)

as for who he might consider the biggest hero in his present life, well. i’m not too sure there are any. i could see him feeling that it’s rather childish to feel that way about anyone, considering both the fact he is quite likely to be older than that person and also that in the grande scheme he’s rather high in the hierarchy of the cat kingdom, so it might be kinda silly to look up to someone like that

however, i do imagine he still has a lot of admiration both for the grandmother who raised him and for the previous advisor, who played a mentor role for him. yet, again, bc of his ideas on what makes a Legitimate Hero, he’d be hesitant to label either of them a hero thinking emoji

They're doll characters that were in a very popular book series that was most known in the 1940s! I haven't read any of the books but the dolls are super cute and this movie really made me fall in love with them, especially Andy.

Heya! Just wanted to say that i really like seeing your blog pop up, Tilo is a cool character!

You're an inspiration to me to start RPing! (Might not be like any of the fancy blogs with their icons, but still!)

Do you have any advice? Just because you seem like quite the well-versed RPer!

Advice? Well... Running an RP Blog on Tumblr is just a fun hobby.

The only advice I can really think to give you is that most people (myself included) prefer to RP with their Mutuals since then we know we are allowed to RP with each other. 

For example. I’m not Mutually exclusive/Private, but I’ll admit it’s much easier to know that I am allowed to RP with a blog if we are both Following each other. Some people however will RP with people they don’t Follow. I’ve RPed with a couple people like that that don’t Follow me but still allowed me to RP with them and they’re great. It’s just a matter of checking a blog’s Rules to see what they’re stance on who exactly they will RP Thread with is. 

However, if you are both Following each other. You are Mutuals, and that always means you and the RP Partner are free to RP 100% of the time. 

Though that might all be obvious. So let me give you another piece of advice.

About what you said about fancy blogs with their fancy icons. I’m gonna be honest. Nobody cares these days.

If you have good presentation? Cool! If you don’t? also cool!

The only time I can see good blog presentation mattering is if you run an obscure muse. (A muse from a small Fandom/A muse that is not a very well known character).

But even then, as long as your writing is good for your obscure muse, most people will gravitate towards you anyways because every time you post something the character writing and character personality consistency is so high quality™.

Here’s what RPers on Tumblr care about these days:

Effort. 

However. Not effort in how fancy you make your icons or your theme. Effort in your writing. 

As long as you put your best effort into your writing. You can’t go wrong, and I assure you, you will get popular. 

Don’t have the energy to post something IC with your best effort on a particular day? Then don’t post that day. Skip as many days of Tumblr RPing as you want.

Just always make sure that when you post something IC (In-Character). The writing of that character has your BEST EFFORT and a lot of love put into it.

Because trust me. People can see with their eyes if something you wrote wasn’t your best effort from a mile away.   

Writing is the only place on an RP Blog where effort is absolutely necessary. That’s what people are coming to you for, that’s the content they want and you have to serve it to the best of your ability every single time you post something IC (In-character). 

You don’t have to put any effort into your icons or how your theme looks as long as it’s funtional and has a Rules page and an About page. 

However, if you decide you want to put a lot of effort and love into your icons and how your Theme looks. Just make sure you’re doing it for yourself because you personally like having something nice to look at when you’re done posting an RP Thread.

Never do it to impress your RP Partner. 

Do it for yourself ❤️.

Hey, Catsafari, i totally understand where you're coming from. Not receiving any sort of attention on work is pretty unmotivating.

By the way, you and @tcrmommabear were my main inspiration to start writing! So, i gotta thank you for that! But you were the biggest inspiration, honestly!

(also i kinda got 20+ followers on here and essentially jumped ship to write furry fanfiction whoops sorry)

Ahhh thank you! @tcrmommabear has also been one of my main inspirations, and I honestly don’t think I would have stuck around or been half as proactive here as I have been without them! <3 I’m sorry to have been a bit of a downer today, although I still stand by everything I’ve said, and I look forward to seeing what you write! :)

“Your Majesty, if that was true, what on Earth would we have ever used in place of it..?” Natori finally manages to butt in with a pleading tone. This is an old argument.

At this, the king narrows his eyes at his advisor, one of his paws tapping absently at his chin.

“...Humans and their fancy-schmancy scientists will probably run across our real brains eventually,” he seems to decide on in a determined grumble. “This scandal runs deep, babe— it’s woven in all over everything. Besides, even Natoru agrees with me,” he adds defensively.

“Natoru..!” Natori directs an injured, reproving look at said tan-colored cat on the king’s other side.

For once, however, even Natoru appears rather remorseful at her part to play in this, holding her arms out to the side in a helpless shrug. “He wouldn’t let me leave!”

kfdlaw that’s going to be a long, long list of foods natori can share. tho i think he probably gives everyone he knows a different list so as not to seem strange or unmanageable. probably someone will ask at least a question or two upon hearing that he’s ‘allergic’ to onions, garlic, most other vegetables, and whatever starchy thing they’re trying to give him at the time, and also reacts to eating an orange like it’s filled with antifreeze

natori, who tends to become physically ill hours after eating onions among many and varied other human foods: ha-- yes. sensory... sensory thing-- what is that again..?

Which is when the question and its accompanying answer finally decide to register in full to him.

Oh, you have given him a treacherous question, interrogator.. Does he now vehemently backpedal, implying he is not one of these cute ones? Does he, of all shameful things, continue with his facetious first instinct and face the inevitable backlash? Does he even want to be associated with this vulgar subject anyway? ...No, probably not. And there’s his out!
