Exactly!!
I WANT TO SLAP RAVEN SO HARD!!!!!! Charles should be allowed to talk using his telepathy if that’s how he’s comfortable doing so instead of being shamed and hated for his mutation!!!
And, Logan, just because a man protecting a woman didn’t work out in the past doesn’t mean it never works!
Raven is the worst!!!
Charles deserves so much better and deserves to be loved and accepted for himself fully just as much as the other mutants get to be!!!!

i really wish they touched this in any of the movies, like, why are the telepaths the only mutants that don't get the right to be proud?? why are they the only ones that should repress their powers? they didn't choose them

Behind these two white highway lines
Pairing: Erik Lehnsherr x gn!Reader
Summary: Erik and Reader always kept some distance, but they get a better glimpse of each other when they are tasked with bringing a new mutant to the school. The teen doesn’t like being a mutant, but Erik and Reader help him see the bright side of his identity.
Warnings and notes: This is a very self indulgent and obvious metaphor to how lonely it feels to be ‘the only one different’, and it’s not nearly as well written as it should be. There’s mentions of family discrimination, feelings of isolation, self-doubt and a journey to acceptance. But just... Not well written, for real. Other X-Men (First Class generation) are mentioned.

Masterlist
Erik Lehnsherr was quite a mystery to you. He was close to Charles and Raven, and he was great at training with the kids, but you had never even had a full conversation with Erik. Even though you had gotten to know everyone else in the Institute after it became your home, the metal bender preferred to keep his distance. He wasn’t rude, just… Private, it seemed. Maybe he had something against you, or maybe he was like that with every new mutant. You wouldn’t be able to tell. The guy made you a little nervous, to be honest. He was serious, powerful, strong-willed and, of course, irritatingly handsome too. If he didn’t want to be bothered, the best you could do was let him be.
For months, that was exactly what you did. You kept teaching your classes and working on your powers, while Erik kept doing whatever Erik does. You rarely talked to each other, despite living in the same house. The Institute was always full and always busy, so there was no need for you two to exchange more than a few words, nothing beyond small talk or work-related communication. You still wondered what Lehnsherr was all about, for a while, the quiet balance worked.
The equilibrium started to crack when Charles gave you a mission. He had detected a new mutant, a teenager with human parents living out of state, and it seemed like the kid was having trouble controlling his abilities. The parents were more than grateful when Professor Xavier called and offered to help their son understand and use his power, but they couldn’t drive him to the institute. With everyone else busy, Charles chose you and Erik to bring the kid to the school.
It sounded like a simple task, but you felt nervous all the same. The road trip was a little awkward, but overall uneventful, with you driving there so Lehnsherr could drive on the way back. As far as you were told, the kid would be ready to go as soon as you arrived. You both got out of the car and Erik rang the doorbell, always keeping a safe distance from you, as if you were about to bite him. You tried not to role your eyes, focusing on your most welcoming smile – very important when meeting a student and their family. The door opened to reveal a fidgety mother, who looked at you and Erik as if you were a miracle.
“I am so glad you are here, we don’t know what else to do. I’m Christine Johnson. Please, come in.”
At the same time, you heard shouting coming from upstairs, with a distinct scream of ‘I am NOT going to that freak show’, followed by the bang of a door closing. You and Erik exchanged a look before introducing yourselves and following Mrs. Johnson to the living room. Nobody had informed the school of it, but you were more than familiar with that sort of conflict. Being a mutant wasn’t always easy, and being a mutant teenager with a bunch of human friends and relatives was a mess, most of the times.
“Please, make yourselves at home. I will go get Jay, we will be ready in just a minute.” Mrs. Johnson said, looking towards the stairs and back to you and Erik. Before she could leave, you took a step forward.
“Maybe we could talk to him first? He might feel more comfortable if he gets to know us a bit before leaving.” You offered, only then remembering to give Erik a glance. He nodded discreetly, ready to follow you. There was a tension on him that you weren’t used to witnessing, but you couldn’t wonder about that now. This kid needed guidance and support, and that was the reason you went to the Institute in the first place. Mutant kids deserved better than what the world usually offered them, and the X mansion was their best opportunity to have that.
“That is very kind of you, Professor, if you don’t mind trying… Come upstairs, he’s in his room.”
You both followed Mrs. Johnson to the hall of the second floor, where her husband was pilling up bags. She called him to help with the something in the kitchen and they practically run downstairs, in an obvious attempt to not be a part of the conversation. You took a deep breath, not wishing to lose your temper, but the way the parents seemed desperate to get rid of the problem made your blood boil. To your surprise, it was Erik who knocked on the bedroom door.
“Hello, Jay. I’m Erik. I am here with my colleague Y/N. We would like to talk to you for a minute, if that is okay.”
There was silence for a moment. Erik beside you in the narrow hall, more serious than you had ever seen him. You watched his expression get lighter when he heard the doorknob click. Jay opened the door and stared at the two strangers with childish curiosity, but quickly looked away and went back inside his room. He sat at the bed, absent mindedly playing with a ring of old keys in his hands.
“It’s nothing personal, but I won’t be going to your school. I already told my parents, if they want me to leave, I’ll just move in with my friend until I get a job. His parents said it’s all good. Sorry you had to drive all the way here for nothing, though.”
His tone broke your heart. You had heard it so many times before, seen so many scared kids who were tired of sticking out, terrified because the people supposed to love them the most just saw them as an issue to fix. You and Erik walked into the room together and you sat down on the floor, leaning against the bedside table. Jay’s eyes scanned you as if you were about to shoot lasers at him – and for all he knew, maybe you were – and even you were surprised when Erik followed you, sitting on the carpet too.
“Let’s start from the beginning. I’m Professor Y/N L/N and I work at the Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, which, as you might know, is home to many mutants, including myself and…” You gestured to Erik, who took your cue.
“I’m Erik Lehnsherr, also a Professor at Xavier’s and also a mutant. If you do not wish to join us, that is perfectly fine, but you could at least hear us out first. You know, to compensate for the long drive.” He opened his right hand, and Jay’s ring of keys came flying towards him, floating just above his palm.
You smiled at the way Jay stared, looking so lost, but also as if he had just been found. He looked so young, so starved for some understanding… Erik’s approach was a bit on the nose, but it was worth a try.
Since you entered the room, you had spotted the few plants that decorated the room, including a succulent on the table next to you. You reached up and grabbed it, touching the delicate flower that was just beginning to appear on top of it. At your touch, the flower grew, opening up in yellow and orange tones. Jay’s eyes went from you to Erik and back to you.
“What do you even do in there, though? I bet you’re not studying chemistry or something.”
You chuckled at that, and Erik had big grin when he answered.
“You would be surprised. Just because someone is blue, doesn’t mean they aren’t a science genius.”
“Blue as in sad or blue as in… Blue?” Jay probably sounded more invested than he intended to.
“Blue as in blue. Dr McCoy is a biochemistry expert, and he can also take down all three of us in a fight at the same time with very little effort. And he is blue, but he’s not the only one at that.” You explained, amused to see the kid look so curious.
“Actually, Hank couldn’t take me down unless the fight took place in a plastic prison, and even then it would be a close call.” Lehnsherr feigned offense, and you chuckled again. It was nice to see him being so casual and playful.
“No, it wouldn’t, but I won’t insist on that topic.” You turned back to the kid with a soft smile, while making a couple more flowers appear in the plant you were holding. “There’s a lot to discover at the school. You don’t have to stay there forever, but you could meet everyone, take a few classes and see if you like the place.”
“Sounds like all of you have everything figured out, uh?” As Jay spoke, a small flame emerged from his fingers, and he threw it from one hand to the other. “I’m not that good at keeping this under control.” There was a challenge in his eyes, as if he doubted that the school would be able to handle his abilities, even though you were used to students with powers way more complicated.
“Controlling all the metal near you isn’t as simple as it may seem. Most mutants are not in control of their powers when they first appear, but we can develop our abilities to degrees you can’t even dream of, Jay. That’s the reason Charles found the school in the first place – so all mutants can be safe and proud. I used to believe I was alone until he found me, and I was almost lost in my anger. The others allowed me to see that there is more than just one path for us.” Erik answered, making the keys fly back to their owner. Jay extinguished the flame and caught the keys midair. He remained in silence, so you continued Erik’s speech. Everything he had said really resonated with you, making you even more certain of the point you wanted to get across.
“You may make fire, but we have a guy who turns into and produces ice, a lady who can literally control the weather, some laser-shooters and a few telepaths and the list goes on. Even a seemly harmless mutation can be trouble, like when I have a nightmare and break the floor with tree roots growing out of nowhere, and the scariest powers can save all of us very often.” You felt Lehnsherr’s eyes on you, but you focused on Jay. You thought of how tiny you felt before you knew of others like you, remembering the desperation of dealing with a part of yourself that nobody around you could know, because they would never have to handle something similar. Until you were surrounded by other mutants, you were never able to allow yourself to just be.
“We know how hard it is to be the only one that is different. Pardon my language, but it royally sucks, doesn’t it? It gets lonely and terrifying, and it seems like there’s not a single person in your life that can understand. But we do. We have all been through it, one way or the other, and it gets much easier and much more fun when you have a community, if you’re willing to give us a chance.” The honesty in your words was undeniable. Even though no two mutants were the same, and each of the residents of the X Mansion had their own past and their identities, with the x gene being just one aspect of who they were, finding your community had being freeing in ways you didn’t even know you needed. There were still many barriers to face, and a lot of grief for everything that couldn’t be. It wasn’t fair, and it still hurt, but it didn’t hurt after you became more comfortable in yourself. The love you had for every mutant in the institute and the bonds you created made you see yourself in a brand new light, and you had seem the same magic happen to many others. You hoped it would happen to Jay too.
“I’m not just talking of making the burden less heavy. I’m talking of honestly understanding that there isn’t a burden at all. Even if I said I was proud of myself, I wasn’t really happy to be me until I was with the others. Now, when I say I’m a mutant and proud, I mean it. I know how strong, how amazing, how brilliant we are, and I’d never change a thing. I wish the world wasn’t as tough on us, I wish we didn’t have to be strong, but kid, I’m really thankful and proud to say that we can take it, and we’re worth standing up for and celebrating.” You finally stopped talking, feeling a bit self conscious about how much you had said, but opening up was worth it if it gave Jay a better chance of experience those changes. Before you could say more, though, Erik spoke again.
“I had an entire mutant pride speech ready, but I believe Y/N spoke for us both on what really matters here. Give it a try. If the school isn’t for you, you can come back to your friend’s house with some interesting stories.” You smiled at his words, waiting for Jay’s answer.
“Will someone drive me back here if I don’t stay or do I have to find a new ride?” The kid was already getting up and collecting stuff around the room. Erik stood up and offered you his hand. You took it, standing up too and smiling at him.
“Maybe our teleport guy will be back by then. We usually take the road when we’re inviting a new student, but we’ll figure something out.” Erik replied, which gained him an impressed look from Jay.
“Of course there’s a teleport guy. You could have lead with that.” He continued gathering his belongings but, besides the plants, there wasn’t a lot more to pack. Most of the stuff was already in the bags in hall. Jay arranged most of the plants in a metal shelf so they would be easier to carry, but he shook his head when you tried to hand him the succulent in your left hand. “You keep that one. She likes you.”
You nodded, turning around to leave the room and help bring the bags to the car. Only then you noticed that you were still holding Erik’s hand. You let your hand fall, but the two of you didn’t stand so distant to each other now. All three mutants walked out of the room and divided the bags among you, with Lehnsherr showing off and making every metal object float to the front door. Once everything was in the car, Jay went to talk to his parents. There were tears and goodbyes and promises of behaving, but you and Erik stayed outside to give the family some privacy. The Johnsons might not be the best parents a mutant could get, but they were still Jay’s mom and dad, and the process would be important for him.
While you two waited, you decided to break the silence.
“Turns out we can make a good team, Lehnsherr.”
“Wait to see if the kid comes running back home when he sees Alex explode something before you start to boast.”
“Oh, shut up. Alex will be his favorite.”
“Yeah, he will. And we do make a good team.”
The conversation was cut short when the Johnsons came out of the door, with Mrs. Johnson hugging Jay. You and Erik promised to take care of him and finally got in the car. The ride back to the institute was a little less awkward and silent, even though the kid fell asleep in half an hour. You could definitely count that day as a win.

Inside Out
Chapter 9
Pairing- Loki x Reader
Warning-cursing
Your thoughts and other characters are in italics.Flashbacks are in bold.
“Oh, my God.” Jane picks up the keys from the floor of the cave.
“Am I interrupting something.” Richard whispered.
“No, no, no, nothing at all.” Realizing how they can return to Earth, Jane turns to Thor. “Come on.”
Thor picks up Y/n bridal style. “Don’t worry Y/n we are going to find out what’s wrong.”
“I'm losing you there, are you in a tunnel?” Richard asked.Thor starts following Jane.
“Where are we going?” Thor asked.
“Hello?” Richard said into the phone.
They start walking further into the cave, Thor notices the discarded shoes that were thrown through from the abandoned factory. “Why are there so many shoes in here?”
As they walks further in suddenly they disappear; back in his office Richard loses Jane on the phone. “I'll just text her.”
Y/n, Jane, and Thor appear back on Earth outside the factory. Jane points to car and Thor places Y/n in the backseat. Jane and Thor get into Ian's abandoned car that was still parked outside the factory and Jane tries to staqrt the cat.
“So, Who’s Richard?”
“Really?”
Jean drives off from the factory.

At Darcy’s apartment
Jean opens the door and rushes in the Apartment with Thor hot on her heels.
“Jane!” Darcy cried.
“Hey.” Jane said dryly.
Thor rushes over to the couch and places Y/n there.
“I need to see if I’ll going to get any reading.” Jane announced as she looks for the gadget she was using to find Thor days ago.
“Y/n!!! What’s going on?” Darcy wondered. “You can't just leave like that, the whole world is going crazy! “
“If the Aether is inside Y/n this....” Jane said holding up the gadget. “.....Should tell us.
Jane turns on the gadget and waves it over Y/n’s body and nothing happens. No sound is made, the meter doesn’t even move. “Don’t understand....didn’t some of the Aether go inside Y/n?”
Erik walks out the bathroom and sees Thor, Y/n unconscious on the couch, and Jane.
Her and Y/n are wearing Asgardian clothes (Except Jane was blue and Y/n is red.) and disheveled state. “Did you go to a party?” Jane notices Erik for the first time.
Thor hangs his hammer on the coat hanger next to the door. “All the stuff we saw is spreading.”
“Erik?!” Jane said blinking.
“Jane, how wonderful!” Erik said as he goes to Jane and as he embraces her while he isn't wearing any pants. “You've been to Asgard.”
“Where are your pants?” Jane wondered.
“Oh, uh...he uh...he says it helps him think.” Ian answered.
“Okay. Well, I'm gonna need everything you got on this. All the work you've been doing on gravimetric anomalies, everything.” Jane stated.
“Okay.”
“Are you well, Erik?” Thor asked.
Erik chuckles then his smile fades quickly. “Your brother is not coming, is he?l
“Loki is dead.” Thor answered.
“Oh, thank God.” Thor looks at him in confusion. “I....I'm so sorry.”
“Thank you.”
Erik then embraces Thor.

Back on Svartalfheim we see an Einherjar Guard use the ship that brought Y/n, Thor, Loki, and Jane onto the planet to return to Asgard, he goes to see Odin at the palace.
“Forgive me, my liege. I've returned from the Dark World with news.” The Guard said.
“Thor?” Odin asked.
“There's no sign of Thor, or the weapon, but...” he takes a step closer to Odin.
“What?”
“We found a body.”
There's a moment's pause.
“Loki.”
The warrior doesn't reply but just looks at Odin.

Back at Jane's apartment
“Malekith is going to fire the Aether at a spot where all the nine worlds are connected.” Jane explained.
“Amplifying the weapon's impact. With each additional world, the power will increase exponentially. The effect would be universal.” Erik chimed in.
“Yes, well the alignment is only temporary. He must be in exactly at the right place at the right time.” Thor said.
“Well, how do we know where that is?” Darcy chimed in.
“We follow the directions. This has happened before, thousands of years ago, and The Ancients were there to see it.” Erik places a map of the British Isles on the coffee table. “All the great constructions: the Mayas, the Chinese, the Egyptians, they made use of the gravitational effects of the Convergence. And they left us a map.”
Eril starts drawing on the map. “Stonehenge. Snowdon, the Great Orme. These are all coordinates taking us...here.” he points to Greenwich on the map.
“Greenwich?” Ian asked.
“The walls between worlds will be almost non-existent. Physics is gonna go ballistic. Increase and decrease in gravity, spatial extrusions. The very fabric of reality is gonna be torn apart.” Jane said.
Thor summons Mjolnir and it shoots over to Thor's hand from the where it was hanging on the coat hanger.
“What going on?”
All eyes turns to the living room. As they see Y/n standing up holding her head.
“Oh my G-O-S-H......your Red Wing.” Ian said with pure shock on his face.
“We’re on earth?” Y/n asked.
“Yes.” Erik answered.
“Erik....” Y/n said looking around the room and see every one but him. “Where’s Loki?”
Everyone physically tense. Thor moves forward slowly. “Loki....is”
“Back on Asgard.”
“What?” Y/n said in a curious tone.
“We were followed.” Jane answered.
“How we were clean.” Y/n indicated. “Loki wouldn’t give himself up unless.......”
Y/n, I’m sorry
“No,.....Thor you didn’t.” Y/n said with her head tilted downward.
“It was the only way to get Jane off Asgard.” Thor said with the a downward gaze.
“No it wasn’t, there’s always another way.” Y/n proclaimed. “I’m never going to see him again.”
“Y/n, I’m sorry.” Thor said moist eyes
“Me, too.” Y/n said with an sad smile as she walks out the apartment.
“Y/n....” Thor called out but the door was closed and Y/n was gone.
“I better get my pants.” Erik announced.
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
Y/n walked the streets of London in her Asgardian attire that’s why she was getting funny looks not because she had black veins on her neck. It was the clothes. Y/n walked until she found an abandoned warehouse. She needed to let it out it been building up since she was on Asgard. She just ignored it because her mind was Preoccupied by Loki and being there for him that she bottled her emotions, to the point where she being to shake. This has never happened before. Seconds before Y/n is about to let it out....
“Don’t do that.” A voice announced.
“Don’t do what?” Y/n wondered as she powers reached a boiling point.
“I know what you’re thinking about doing.” The voice like it was getting closer. “I felt it all the way from the other side of the world.”
“What are you a mutant?” Y/n said in a curious tone. Y/n is hugging herself to stop her powers from lashing out.
“Yes.” Voice emerges from the dark and Y/n see a man with neck length,Brown hair with a white streak in the front. He’s about 5'9 and he had electric blue eyes. Y/n could look into then and find calm. Maybe it’s because he’s a mutant and he doesn’t wanted her to be apart of his team. He walked up to Y/n slowly.
“I’m Nathaniel Grey.” He said holding his hand out for Y/n to shake.
Y/n hesitate then shakes his hand and doing so Nathaniel takes her hand and raises it to his lips and kisses Y/n’s hand.
“Your mother is Jean Grey?” Y/n wondered. “That name sounds familiar.”
Nathaniel’s eyes widened in shock. No one. I Repeat no one was able to read his mind. Not even Charles Xavier one of the most powerful minds he ever came across nor Exodus ‘The Hero With No Fear’ couldn’t read his mind. He had defenses in his mind put up to prevent anyone from coming in and yet Y/n did it with ease.
“Yes, she is and your mother is.........” Nathaniel trailed off trying to look inside Y/n’s mind but can’t.
“Ororo Munroe.” Y/n answered.
Mind you now Nathaniel has not let Y/n’s hand go. “You are astonishing.” Nathaniel disclosed. “How did I not feel you before.”
“Feel....are you telepathic?” Y/n wondered with a hopeful look in her eyes.
“I am....may I know your name.” Nathaniel said maintaining eye contact.
Y/n gives Nathaniel a quizzical smile. “Y/n Munroe.”
“May I see you again?”
“Ummm....ya yes....but I am in a relationship.” Y/n told Nathaniel as she slowly takes her hand out of his.
Nathaniel hides his disappointment but Y/n can see right though it. “I would still like to see you as a friend then.”
“Of course.” Y/n answered then realized that her arms had stopped shaking and the black veins had disappeared.
Nathaniel starts to walks away but he didn’t want to leave.
“Thank you.”
“I didn’t do anything.” Nathaniel replied turning to look at her.
“You stopped me from destroying this factory and who knows what else.” Y/n said with a faraway look.
“Us Mutants stick together.” Nathaniel said with a coy smile.
“Mutant and Proud.”
Nathaniel smile. “Can I walk you home?
Y/n narrowed her eyes at him.
“I just think your love ones wouldn’t want you walking around at night.” Nathaniel proclaimed.
Y/n shakes her head but smile. “My home is in New York I’m just.......here.”
“Are you gonna go home?” Nathaniel asked.
“I don’t know yet.”
“Well….. I tried.”
“Ya you did.” Y/n as she placed a hand on his shoulder. “See you around Nathan.”
Y/n said as she flys away.
“What a woman.” Nathaniel whispered.

The Next Day.
In Greenwich at the location outside a library Darcy and Ian grab Erik's gadget.
“Focus, this is important. We have to hammer them in all around the site and then Jane and Erik will activate them from the tower.” Darcy said.
“They're taped together!” Ian proclaimed.
“Do you even know what these things do?”
“No.”
“Neither do I.” Darcy and Ian start placing Erik's gadgets around the library grounds. “Come on, come on!”
“Fine!”
Suddenly Malekith's giant ship appears on the River Thames near the library grounds.
“Holy shit!”
The ship starts moving forward and crashing through the library grounds causing pandemonium until it finally stops in the middle of the grounds, Malekith and his dark elves step off the ship and the same time Thor flies in and lands in front of Malekith.
“You needn't have come so far, Asgardian! Death would have come to you soon enough.” Malekith proclaimed.
“Not by your hand!” Thor declared.
“Your universe was never meant to be. Your world and your family will be extinguished.” Malekith uses the power of the Aether to attack Thor but Thor manages to narrowly miss getting hit by it.

It was a slow day at the Airport and Y/n was feeling it. It felt like it time had slowed down as she was sitting in the airport waiting for her flight to New York. Y/n didn’t want to leave but it was the only option. Y/n felt betrayed, Thor was supposed to be her friend.
Why would he do that
Y/n exhaling noisily through pursed lips and gets up and walks over to the lady sitting behind the desk.
“Hi, when is the flight from here to New York departing?” Y/n asked.
“It should be leav-“
Suddenly a woman by a big window screams and Y/n rushes over to her.
“Are you ok?” Y/n questioned.
“What an the bloody hell is that?” The woman said still looks out the window.
Y/n follows the woman’s gaze out the window and see Malekith's giant ship.

Inside the library setting up the gravimetric device
“We're running out of time.” Erik stated.
“Almost there.” Jane replied.
“Are you sure this is going to work? These devices were made to detect anomalies, not cause them.”
“Oh, come on.” Jane looks out and sees Thor and Malekith battling it out. “Come on, Darcy.” Jane rushes off to find Darcy; outside Thor manages to deflect the Aether that Malekith is using to fight him off.
“You know with all that power, I thought you would hit harder.” Thor said with a smirk.
Malekith is using the Aether to shield himself suddenly Thor throws his hammer at him which throws Malekith across the ground and smashes him against the library building, at the same time Jane sees Darcy and Ian placing the last of Erik's device in the ground.
“Done.” Ian said. Darcy gives the OK sign to Jane and Jane rushes back to Erik.
“The Convergence will be in full effect in seven minutes.” Erik told Jane.
“That just means we have to keep Malekith busy for eight.” Jane gets the device ready. “Okay, you might wanna hold on to something.” She turns on the device and suddenly some of the dark elves suddenly disappear.
Darcy and Ian watch this nearby, Darcy talks to Jane on her phone. “That is awesome! How did you do that?”
“Well, gravitational fields interact with the weak spot between worlds creating...” Jane answered.
“Oh, there's a guy with a sword!” Darcy commented.
Jane uses the device again to make the dark elf disappear but instead she accidentally makes Darcy and Ian disappear.
“Oops.” Jean whispered.
“Let's go.” Erik urged.
Darcy and Ian appear in another part of London
“What the hell just happened?” Darcy wondered.
Suddenly the dark elves that had also disappeared appear and fall onto a parked car. “Move!” Darcy grabs hold of Ian's hand and they run off as the dark elves start chasing after them; back at the library Thor and Malekith continue their battle and everyone inside the library rushes to the windows to watch.

Name Changing (2)
FANDOM - MARVEL MCU, X-MEN, DEADPOOL
PAIRING - BUCKY X READER (female reader, no physical descriptions)
WARNINGS - ALL OF THEM, SMUT, VIOLENCE ANGST
DESCRIPTION - Sequel to Name Calling
After merging with your bloodthirsty alternate personality things start getting a little dicey. You’ve got two decades worth of anger to sort through, a feral mutation to figure out how to live with, a biological father who you hate trying to teach you control and if your wedding planner suggests teal for the bridesmaids again you might just eat her liver.
Luckily you have Bucky Barnes by your side, helping you figure things out. What Bucky doesn’t know is that you have found an outlet for the uncontrollable rage, one that absolutely nobody can know about. If your friends and family knew that you were out slaughtering people in the dead of night while they slept, they might be a little annoyed. Wade Wilson is happy to keep your secret though, so long as you keep bribing him with Mexican food.
For as long as you could remember, all you had wanted was to be good. Now you’re seeing the temptation in the darkness.
Chapter Two - Hear Me Roar
“Absolutely not!” Tony insisted.
“Seconded.” Sam said, looking scared.
“Thirded.”Clint added.
“They’re right. We can’t have an animal like that running around the compound.” Steve said, shaking his head.
“Might wanna tell your girl that.” Nega said with a nonchalant shrug.
“Kit Kat tell her... Kit Kat?” Tony looked around, his eyes going wide as he saw you walking towards the Blackbird craft.
“Don’t you fucking dare!” He yelled, panicking.
“Is she going to?” Sam practically whimpered.
“I say we wait inside to find out.” Clint said, walking backwards towards the door.
You ignored them all as you approached the X-Men’s jet. The ramp was down and as you neared you saw the cage. You felt a bubble of anger grow in your chest. Black veins rippled up your arm and you blasted the cage open.
The jet black lion snarled suspiciously but took his chance for freedom and stalked out of the cage and down the ramp, his eyes fixed on you. Neither of you blinked as he approached.

As soon as he stepped out of the Blackbird he shook his mane out and unhinged his jaw, letting out a deafening roar. Your pity for him diminished slightly at his show of dominance. He needed to learn who was the cat in charge around here.
You advanced on him, a ferocious roar ripping itself from your lungs and echoing across the grounds. He cowed slightly to you until you were towering over him, roaring in his face.
His head dipped and it almost looked like he was bowing to you. There was a prickling sensation at the edges of your mind and you frowned. He looked up at you and when your eyes met you realised it was him.
Feeling of helplessness, anger, fear, sorrow, pain and desperation assaulted your sensations and you gasped and knelt in front of him. You held your palm out to him and focused on trying to push back the thought of safety to him.
He pushed his head into your palm and purred.
Well then, you had to figure out where your pet physic lion was going to sleep.
The Avengers watched through the window, shaken by what they just witnessed.
“Please tell me my child did not just roar at a lion.” Tony whispered.
“She just roared at a lion...” Sam whispered back.
“That’s my little lioness.” Bucky said with a smirk.
“So I guess that’s settled, you’re keeping him.” Nega said, dismissing them with a wave.
“NO! You can’t just drop a lion off on my doorstep, not happening.” Tony told her.
“What, I thought you liked taking in stray cats?” Clint sniggered.
“Do you want a lion living here?” Tony snapped and Clint paled.
“She. Just. Roared. At. A. Lion.” Sam reiterated.
“A lion is nowhere near the most dangerous thing we have living here.” Natasha pointed out.
“He seems very tame.” Wanda added.
They all looked outside again, where you were currently leaning your forehead against the lions and running your fingers through his mane.
“SHE JUST ROARED AT A LION!” Sam yelled.
“Yes, yes she did. She outroared him.” Bucky said, sounding proud.
They watched in nervous curiosity as The Negasonic Teenage Warhead approached you and the lion. The cat bristled at her approach and bared his teeth but one soothing gesture from you and he settled, letting the young mutant pass.
Nega fist bumped you on her way past and walked up the ramp. You stood up and walked towards the door, the lion falling in step behind you like a dark shadow.
The Avengers scattered, none of them willing to be in such close quarters with the vicious beast.
“You aren’t bringing that thing in here.” Tony yelled through the door.
“He’s staying dad.” You said back calmly, resolute in you decision.
Irritation that was not yours flooded your mind and you sniggered.
“No you can’t eat him, he’s my father.” You said.
“Uh, Kit Kat?” Tony stammered nervously.
“Dad he’s mutated. He telepathic, or empathic, or both.” You explained.
“That’s nice dead but he’s still not coming in.”
“Fine.” You sighed.
You nodded to the loin who sat calmly on the grass and possibly rolled its eyes as you went inside.
“I’ll go grab my stuff.” You told Tony.
“You’re moving out? Because I won’t let you keep the very large lion? Sweetheart if you want a pet I’ll get you one, but one that can actually be kept as a cat.” Tony insisted.
“I let you send Mr Donkeypool away because you said it was best for him and you were right, he’s loves living on the farm. But this lion needs me, we’re connected. I’m keeping him, besides we were moving out after the wedding.” You said.
“No you weren’t, you have a holiday home. Send Aslan to live in Wakanda, he’ll be with his own kind.” Tony suggested.
“I AM his kind. He’s an untameable beast that they kept in a cage and tried to break, who else could really look after him?” You argued.
“Kit Kat I am not...”
“At least meet him.” You interrupted.
Tony went pale and his jaw dropped as you grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards the door. He protested the whole way, trying to pull away but you were much stronger. As soon as he was out the door he went kind of limp for a second before he straightened up and swaggered over to the lion.
“Alright furball, here’s how this is going to go. You can stay, IF you don’t try to eat me.” He said.
The lion just looked at him.
“Kit Kat? Wanna translate?” Tony asked.
“He want to know who he can eat?” You said with a straight face.
“NOBODY!”
You sniggered and the lion blew out a huff of breath that made Tony’s hair ruffle.
“Where is he going to sleep? What does he eat?” Tony asked himself out loud as he stormed away.
The lions mind enveloped yours once again and you could tell he was rattled by the approach of Bucky. The lion snarled at him and Bucky stopped and raised an eyebrow at it before turning to you.
“No, he’s mine. You can’t hurt him.” You said firmly.
The lion snarled at your fiancée and a low, warning growl vibrated in your chest. The lion stopped snarling and stalked round to sit behind you, away from Bucky.
“I don’t think he likes me.” Bucky said in amusement as he came over and kissed you.
“I don’t think he likes anybody.” You pointed out, sliding your arms around Bucky’s waist.
“I know you want to keep him doll but you need to work it out.” He insisted.
“I know.” You sighed.
It was going to be difficult but you were determined to make it work.
“Well he’s not that big. He’s actually smaller than most male lions, probably because of the experimentation, so what if I just converted the office below our room to a habitat? It looks over the back of the compound grounds so he can come inside and outside as he pleases and you and he are great jumpers so you can jump on and off the balcony whenever you please.” He suggested.
You reeled back to look at Bucky in wonder and awe and he just shrugged.
“I love you.” You told him.
“I know, pretty sure that’s why you agreed to marry me.” He said cockily and pulled your chest into his, leaning down to kiss you until he was interrupted by a growl.
Bucky whipped his head around and glared at the lion.
“Mine.” He growled at it.
You really tried not to laugh, you didn’t want to challenge Bucky’s authority but it was too funny and he ended up having to hold you upright as you cackled.
“Can we meet you pet?” Wanda called out of the door.
You turned around to see her stood with Natasha and Vision. Steve, Sam and Darcy hiding behind them.
“You’ve already met Bucky.” You sniggered.
“You’re going to pay for that.” He whispered in your ear.
The Avengers nervously stepped outside and tried not to spook the lion until Thor came barrelling through them.
“Where is the beast? I must meet him!” He roared.
“If you feel the need to eat my brother you are most welcome to do so.” Loki said from beside you.
“NO! Loki stop being a bad influence. No eating people. Unless it’s bad people. We’ll let you eat Hydra agents.” You told them.
“Yeah, next mission we’ll bring you back a doggy bag.” Bucky laughed lowly.
“Barnes, I do not believe the creature likes you.” Loki remarked with interest as Thor tried to introduce himself to the lion.
“Yeah, add him to the list of people I need to compete with for my fiancée’s attention.” Bucky said, rolling his eyes.
“My love, you’ll always be second in my heart.” You smirked.
Bucky and Loki narrowed there eyes at you.
Bucky and Loki had developed much the same kind of friendship that Sam and Steve had. They were near inseparable and if you couldn’t find Bucky then chances were he was with Loki, reading. Tony had dubbed it the ‘Reformed Killers Book Club” and out of principle Natasha often joined them.
“Thor no!” You admonished as Thor tried to grasp the lions mane.
“Leave him, if he gets mauled it will teach him a valuable lesson.” Loki suggested.
“OH!” Wanda exclaimed.
“Can you feel him too?” You asked excitedly.
“Yes. I can hear his... not his thoughts exactly. But his emotions.” She said excitedly.
“Hold up, the lion is psychic?” Sam demanded.
“Empathic I believe.” Loki interjected.
“Are we the only three who can feel him?” You asked out loud.
“Loki and I can feel him but I think he is projecting onto you. He could project onto anyone I think but he only seems to like you.” Wanda informed you.
You heart warmed and you tangled your fingers in his mane and focused on your feeling of affection and protectiveness for the dark lion you had adopted. If the purring was any indication, he understood.

To whom it may concern,
I am writing to inform you that as of now there is indeed a Black Lion living on the premises. I assure you he is no danger to anyone here so long as they do not approach him, he doesn’t like strangers. If you see the lion, please ignore him and go about your business.
If he is in the way you may call for Miss Stark, Mr Loki or Miss Maximoff to come and collect him.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter, sincerely Miss Stark aka Deathwave aka Kit Kat aka Vernichtung.
(P.S, his name is Erlösung but he answers to Erlo.)
You hit send to all on the email and went to check on Bucky, Erlo padding out of your office with you.
You heard the clattering of wood from what would be Erlo’s room and raised voices.
“It would look better over there.” Bucky insisted.
“Barnes, I am the one with taste. Over here.”
“I’m marrying your daughter and you think I have bad taste?”
“You’re stealing my daughter and you killed my parents when you were brainwashed. It’s going over here.”
You stiffled a laugh and left them to it.
“Come on Erlo, let’s go scare the receptionists.” You snickered.

A Thousand Years - Chapter 5
“So Kamber was right to assume that something was up with his bloody hand,” Edward whispered.
“What do you mean?” Carlisle inquired.
“Kamber noticed that it almost looked like Jason had touched his wound or scratched himself and his right hand looked different,” Edward remarked. “Jason brought this upon himself… he’s a mutant.”
“What I do not understand is why he is after Edward in particular,” Rosalie spoke up, “Is it because he and Kamber were investigating Bounds?”
Mr. Vicasi shook his head, “It’s because he has the power to ingest powers from vampires. He wants Edward’s telepathic power and his speed.”
“But that means…” Alice whispered. “If he comes after Edward… he might try to go for the kids!”
“We’re not going to let that happen,” Edward replied angrily.
Carlisle smiled and placed a hand on his son’s shoulder, “We won’t either. I promise that we will protect Kamber and the kids.” They all turned to stare out at the dark woods. Rosalie was staying inside with the kids, leaving everyone else to stand outside and wait for Jason’s arrival.
Then…. They saw it. The sickly evil green eyes glaring at them from the shadows. Slowly Jason Bounds appeared from the shadows and Alice almost vomited. He was twice the size of a normal man, but his skin looked grey, covered in black tar like hair and a thick green ooze was flowing from his mouth.
“I think I preferred Mutants staying in the storybooks,” Jasper whispered to himself.
They watched as Jason Bounds looked them up and down, one by one, inspecting them. Finally, his eyes fell on Edward and a sick smile appeared on his face.
“Cullen,” he hissed in a thick, guttural voice that sounded like it came from the sewers.
Instantly, Esme and Carlisle took a step forward planting themselves a little in front of Edward in a protective manner.
Jason chuckled thickly before rising to his full height, licking his green lips.
“Prepare to die,” he whispered.
The vampires and Mrs. Vicasi jumped forward at the same time. Jasper snuck around the back with Alice to catch him off guard. Mr. Vicasi and Carlisle distracted him while Mrs. Vicasi and Esme went at his sides. Emmett quickly scaled a nearby tree before jumping down onto his shoulders, wrapping his arms around the creature’s neck.
Emmett almost seemed to be getting a grip on the beast when his body seemed to expand and Emmett was thrown off the creature’s back, knocking Alice and Jasper down. Jason grabbed Esme around the neck and Carlisle gave up his position to wrench the beast’s hand off his wife’s neck before Esme fell limp into his arms, exhausted. Mrs. Vicasi jumped at Jason, transforming into her wolf form but Jason gave her a swift punch to the stomach, and she fell down, whimpering in pain. Mr. Vicasi rushed to her side… and now it was just Edward.
Edward clenched his fists and slowly approached the beast. He cracked his knuckles before sliding his foot on the ground, getting good traction…. Then he began to run. He ensured that he ran fast enough so that Jason couldn’t catch him and every few seconds, he struck a blow on the beast.
Jason Bounds was beginning to get angry and finally let out a roar and reached out a hand blindly…. Clotheslining Edward!
The boy fell back onto his back, coughing. Bounds loomed over him before reaching down and pressing a long green nail to Edward’s head.
“You’re mine now,” Bounds growled.
Edward felt the pressure of the finger on his head and closed his eyes, unable to move. It couldn’t end like this…. Not now!
Just when he was sure the nail was going to dig into his skin, the pressure lifted. Edward opened his eyes to see that Bounds was still above him… but floating?
Edward jumped to his feet and saw that his family and the Vicasi parents were staring in surprise as well, their mouths hanging open. Jason Bounds was floating… as if he weighed nothing!
Slowly the Cullens and Vicasi’s turned around to see the answer to what was happening… Kamber. The girl stood on the top step of the stairs, one hand extended and a look of peace and satisfaction on her face. On either side of her stood Vince and Glynn, the other kids standing on the steps in front of her. Rosalie was standing in the doorway, holding Holden and Vanessa with Dashiell and Hermione standing next to her.
“And now….” Kamber whispered. “You’re mine.”
Taking that as a signal, the rest of the Vicasi kids jumped off the stairs, transforming into their different shifts, pouncing on Bounds who had suddenly regained his weight and had fallen to the ground.
Edward felt a presence next to him and saw Kamber fall to her knees next to him, helping him sit up. The boy looked from her, to where her siblings were overpowering Bounds.
“What… is going on?” he whispered.
Kamber smiled, “My vampire power….” With that, she placed her hand on the ground and Edward watched in shock as the rocks on the driveway began to slowly float in the air.
“Warping Balance,” she replied, “Or otherwise known as gravity control.” Edward stared at the girl with his mouth hanging open slightly, his eyes wide. Kamber smiled at him before grabbing his face and crashing her lips to his.
Edward realized that even though her lips still contained warmth, she seemed stronger than before…. And almost… more prefect if that was possible.
Edward was about to kiss back when Kamber tore away and pulled him up. By then, Vince and Glynn had pinned Bounds down, Imogen sitting on his back with a proud smug look on her face.
“Mission accomplished,” the two boys grinned.
Kamber raised her eyebrows while looking at Imogen who didn’t have a single mark on her, “What’s up with you?” “Damage resistant,” the girl replied simply, smirking, “Life is good!”
Carlisle and Mr. Vicasi approached the mutant before Carlisle injected him with a strong dose of a sedative. Once limp, the two men lifted the beast up between them and hurried off to see that he reached prison. The Vicasi kids were running around, giggling with Alice and wrestling Emmett to the ground. Mrs. Vicasi was trying desperately to talk to each individually but was failing for the kids were too energetic and excited.
Kamber chuckled at this but didn’t have time to do much about it for someone grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the back of the house. Before Kamber could even ask Edward what he was doing, the boy had pressed her to the nearest tree and crashed his lips onto hers. Kamber at once responded, wrapping her hands around his neck and weaving her fingers into his hair.
Edward touched her bottom lip with her tongue, and she allowed him, feeling his ice-cold tongue explore her mouth. She moaned when Edward pressed his body hard against hers and lifted one of her legs up to wrap around his waist. His ice-cold fingers touched her thigh before circling around her waist again.
Finally, they parted when Kamber finally needed air and Edward latched his lips onto her neck, inhaling her scent.
“Edward,” Kamber whispered, “What’s wrong?”
Edward sighed before pausing, “I was scared….” Kamber smiled and gently stroked his hair fondly before kissing the side of his head as he began to kiss her shoulder, “I’m not going anywhere. I promise.” Edward groaned into her neck and hugged her close so that she almost felt her ribs crack, “Why can’t I marry you right now?” “Uh, I think the earliest we could do it is next week.” Edward’s head snapped up, his eyes wide with hope, “Really?” Kamber giggled, “Impatient much?”
However, she loved him for it and kissed him gently before burying her face in his neck, sighing deeply, “Everything will be alright from now on.”
***********
Edward was impatiently pacing back and forth in front of the alter, his hands clasped behind his back. Jasper and Emmett noticed this, smirking at each other knowingly.
“Go easy there hot shot,” Emmett remarked, looking very smart in his black suit, “She’s not going to run out on you.” “Unless you scare her half to death,” Jasper added.
Edward snapped a glare in their direction and his two brothers retreated, leaving him to his pacing. Suddenly Mr. Vicasi approached him, and Edward froze in his pacing.
“Edward, I just want to say that I am glad you and Kamber found each other,” he said. “I have not seen Kamber this happy in all her many years.” Edward smiled at the man and nodded, “Thank you sir.” “I will say one thing,” the man replied, surprising Edward. “Kamber is not full vampire, so she is not resilient to pain if you get my drift.” Edward paused before it suddenly dawned on him that Mr. Vicasi was talking about what would come from marriage and he felt his neck heat up. “I understand sir.” The man smiled before clapping him on the shoulder, “If you will excuse me, I have to go locate my daughter before my wife and her sisters smother her to death.” With that, the vampire headed off and Edward resumed his pacing. He was halfway through a pace when he almost collided with Carlisle who had appeared behind him.
“Can we have a moment?” Carlisle asked, a serious look on his face.
Edward nodded before stepping to the side with Carlisle to a place where no one could hear their conversation. Instead of talking, Carlisle began to think, and Edward read his thoughts.
‘Edward, there is something you need to be careful of tonight with Kamber.’
“What is it?” Edward asked in a whisper.
‘Because Kamber is a hybrid, she is attractive by her scent but also because of her beauty from being part vampire. All of this put together makes her ten times as attractive to her mate than she would be if she was a human or a vampire.’
“What does that mean?”
‘It basically means that tonight when you and Kamber are married, your vampire thirst will change. You will gain a new thirst…. Not for blood but for physical contact with Kamber. It happens because you are now bound to Kamber, thus being allowed to be intimate with her. However, because she is a hybrid, the lust you would feel if she was pure vampire or human is ten times stronger…. A thirst. A thirst for intimacy with her. It will get easier just as it got easier for you to handle being around humans. However, the first time will always be stronger…. So….’
“Basically, I will become an animal tonight,” Edward whispered back, knowing he was going more pale than pale.
Carlisle nodded. ‘Kamber is strong, thanks to her werewolf and vampire heritage but she is more human than we are… and just as Mr. Vicasi said, she can feel pain. You have to be careful. The first time you will have intimacy with Kamber it will become like you are an alpha in heat. You will become crazed and nothing will stop you until you are satisfied.’
Carlisle placed his hands on his son’s shoulders and looked her square in the eye, ‘I already told Kamber about this. She is prepared… but you have to make a choice to either not be intimate with her until the thirst fades…. Or have her bear through the thirst until you are satisfied then it will be easier to control.” Edward ran his fingers over his face and through his hair, “I’m such a pervert.” Carlisle chuckled. “That has nothing to do with it. Every man has the desires to be intimate with his future bride when the time comes, but since you are a vampire and she is a hybrid, the crossing hormones are just a million times stronger…” “A million times?” Edward asked.
The man cringed, “You heard that…. I might have exaggerated.” “You never exaggerate,” Edward replied with a deadpan expression. “Oh, this is bad….” “Don’t think about it now,” Carlisle whispered. “You and Kamber discuss it later at the island. Right now, worry about your wedding.”
********
"Excited?" Alice asked, smirking at Kamber.
Of course, the girl missed the smirk but the tone of her voice told her she was smirking. Alice still had a brush in her hand, waiting for Kamber to come out from where she was getting into the gown.
"Do I look excited?" Kamber asked back.
"So you're not!?" Alice teased.
The door of her room flew open, whacking Alice in the back of the head as Kamber’s mother and Rosalie entered, "Of course I'm excited! I'm so excited I'm nervous!"
Alice smirked but the smirk disappeared to a look of shock when Kamber came out from the changing room.
The white gown she was wearing came to the floor, concealing her cute white shoes. The train of the dress trailed behind her, not a great deal but enough.
Her hair was mostly down except for the thick braid that made a crown around her head.
"You look amazing Sweetie," Mrs. Vicasi said, smiling fondly at her daughter with tears in her eyes.
Kamber smiled and blushed crimson as her father entered the room. The man gave her a long look before a smile appeared on his face. He held out his arm to her and Kamber took it and took a deep breath as he slowly led her down the stairs to the patio.
When they reached the spot that separated them from everyone else, Kamber found Glynn, Vince, Rosalie, Emmett and Jasper standing there. Rosalie was grinning from ear to ear and handing her handkerchief (that she didn't need) to Emmett who was crying as if he was the mother of the bride. Jasper was beaming at her and Vince and Glynn were smiling.
Mr. Vicasi released Kamber long enough for her to give each of them a hug.
"You're a sight Emmett," Alice pointed out, grinning at her brother.
Emmett sniffed and smiled, "Don't judge."
"You should get going," Glynn pointed out, "In case you didn't know by now, Edward isn’t exactly a patient vampire."
Kamber and Alice both chuckled at this and Mr. Vicasi wrapped Kamber's slender hand through his arm again. Kamber heard the ruffling of clothes and chairs as people rose to their feet. She slowly lifted her head and gasped.
The patio was decorated with an abundant amount of white and pale blue flowers. When Esme had asked Kamber about decorations, the girl had refused to add ribbons or bright colors so Esme just stuck with pretty wildflowers and woven wooden and green decorations.
Kamber lifted her eyes and smiled at the sight directly opposite her. Standing at the alter was Carlisle (why Esme asked him to do the ceremony, Edward and Kamber would never know) who was dressed in a clean black suit. On either side of the alter stood the whole company, in their best and beaming. Half of them, especially Imogen, Antigone and Zayne were weeping.
Edward stood slightly in front of Carlisle; his hands clasped behind his back. The girl found herself smiling at how perfect he looked. He was wearing a black suit that was slightly blue, so it stood out from the rest of the guys who wore black. His hair was brushed but still thick and wavy. His face was scrubbed clean and surprisingly, he had some color in his face which to him, was because he was blushing brightly but because of his pale nature, it only looked like he was naturally fair.
Mr. Vicasi patted the girl's hand as he led her down the aisle and directly to Edward. Mr. Vicasi of course had never done this before, so he was going to make the best of it. He kissed Kamber on the cheek before turning to Edward and faking seriousness.
"You take good care of her,"
Edward smiled which finally broke the fake seriousness on Mr. Vicasi's face and the man smiled before shaking Edward’s hand and placing Kamber’s in it before stepping back.
Edward reached out and took Kamber's hands in his, encasing her slender hands in his strong cold ones. His eyes never left hers as he drew her onto the alter and in front of him. Carlisle sauntered over, a huge grin on his face and the ceremony began.
(I honestly never remember what goes on during a wedding so just pretend it is similar to the one in the movie:))
"You make kiss the bride," Carlisle announced.
Without hesitation, Edward reached over and cupping the back of her neck in his hand, he drew her lips to his and kissed her long and thoroughly. The place erupted in a din of cheers, wolf whistles and screams of joy. Of course, most of the noise was coming from the company (99% of that coming from Emmett and Alice).
Edward pressed his forehead to hers and smiled.
"I love you Kamber Vicasi."
Kamber smiled and closed her eyes, "And I love you, Edward Cullen."
(EXPLICIT SCENE AHEAD!!!!!)
Edward sighed as he looked across the boat’s deck to where Kamber was sitting on the side of the boat, looking down at the racing dark water below them. They were almost to the island and Edward knew that the urges that he had been feeling all day were going to erupt. It had been bad enough during the wedding and the ceremony but after Kamber had come out wearing a slim white dress that came to her knees, Edward almost lost it.
Looking over at her, he saw that when she sat down, the dress rode up a bit on her thigh and Edward swallowed, turning to look away. He was not going to become an animal in front of Kamber. He would do anything to keep himself from jumping her like an animal, but it was getting harder the closer and closer they got to the island.
Finally, the ship docked and Kamber jumped to her feet. Taking Edward’s hand, she pulled him off the boat and up to the house. When they stepped inside, Edward dropped their bags off in the front room before wrapping his arms around the girl from behind.
Kamber giggled, hugging his hands to her chest as Edward planting a kiss on her neck. He felt her scent fill his breathing and he forced himself to not take her then and there.
He quickly scooped her up bridal style before carrying her through the door that connected to the bedroom. Kamber looked around in astonishment at the bedroom that was lit with soft yellow light.
“Is this your place or….” “It’s Carlisle’s,” Edward replied.
Kamber smirked, “He has good taste.”
The girl removed her heels and let out a contented sigh when she was able to relax her feet. Edward peered out the window at the water before turning to Kamber.
“I’m going for a swim. Want to come?” Kamber nodded her head vigorously before grabbing two towels and allowing Edward to take her hand. He led her out onto the sand where they left their towels. Edward stripped down to his boxers before entering the water while Kamber stripped to her underwear before following.
Kamber shivered at the cold water but she didn’t mind as she watched Edward swim around for a bit. As he swam up to her, Kamber slipped her arms around his neck and kissed him hungrily. Edward clung to her as he felt her legs wrap around his waist.
He quickly pulled back and swam further away from her. The girl looked at him slightly hurt and confused.
“Edward…. Are you afraid?” she asked softly.
“Of course, I am!” Edward cried. “Kamber, you don’t realize what kind of beast I could become if I get too near you. It’s bad enough being this close to you.” Kamber sighed, “You do realize that even if you wait eighty years to do it, the first time will be animal like.” Edward snapped his head up, eyes wide, “What? Carlisle said….” “I asked Carlisle to not tell you that part,” Kamber explained. “I wanted to be the one to tell you when I tell you that I’m not afraid.” “But Kamber….” Edward started when he froze, “You what?” “I’m not afraid,” Kamber replied, smiling softly at him. “You are afraid of yourself because you already thought of yourself as a beast without a soul, right?” Edward nodded, “Because it’s true.” Kamber snorted. “Okay, answer these two questions: If a man killed a woman for no reason, or he killed her because she refused to obey him, would that be right or wrong?” “Wrong of course,” Edward replied, not knowing where the girl was getting at.
Kamber nodded, “Okay. Now if the woman killed the man in self-defense because he would either kill her or rape her otherwise, would that be right or wrong?” “Right,” Edward replied. “Because it was self-defense.” The girl didn’t do anything but smiled brightly at him, “So you know the difference between right or wrong correct?” Edward nodded. The girl slowly swam over to him before she wrapped her arms around his neck and wrapped her legs around his hips, “So that means you do have a soul. If you didn’t, you wouldn’t know the difference between right or wrong.” “But my thirst…” Edward started but Kamber cut him off by placing a finger to his lips.
“Every man has a thirst for the woman he loves. In our case, because we are supernatural, it is stronger…. But Edward, if every other human was vampires, werewolves or hybrids, every woman would experience her husband being an animal the first time and every man would experience what it feels like to be in heat.” Edward stared up at her with his bright amber eyes. The girl was smiling down at him, the moonlight shining against her blue eyes, her red hair slightly damp and splattered with drops of water that clung to her hair, making it look like her hair was full of stars.
Slowly the girl bent down and latched her lips against his gently, allowing him to feel the warmth of her mouth on his cold lips.
Edward’s arms snaked around her back and pulled her flush against him as he slowly carried her out of the water. He laid her down on the hard sand and watched as her red hair billowed behind her head on the sand as she looked up at him, in nothing but her underwear which were now practically see through because of the water.
Edward got down on his hands and knees over her, his eyes darkening.
“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” he whispered. “You do realize that if I start, I won’t be able to stop until I’m satisfied.” Kamber nodded, “I know.” Edward carefully hooked his fingers in her underwear before pulling them down and off her legs. As he tossed them to the side, he planted a kiss on her lips before trailing his ice-cold lips down her neck and leaving a hot red mark on her collar bone. Kamber let out a soft gasp as his mouth continued its journey down her chest, her stomach and finally between her legs. Kamber sat up straight when his lips touched the inside of her thighs and planted two hot marks on either one.
Edward glanced up at her before he slipped his head between her legs and latched his lips on her maidenhood. Kamber gasped and fell back on the sand, arching her back at the cold feeling on her soft place. She clenched the sand between her fingers and pressed the back of her head into the sand, letting out a moan.
Suddenly Edward removed his mouth from her and looked at her. All the color had left his eyes which were now black with want…. Beast mode.
Edward tore his boxers off faster than Kamber could comprehend before he crawled over her, lifting her legs to wrap around his waist. His manhood touched between her legs before he plunged into her all the way to the hilt.
Kamber gasped and clutched at him, burying her face into his neck at the suddenly sharp pain. She bit her lip, glad about her vampire blood that it wasn’t as bad as it would have been if she was human. Edward however didn’t stay still for long and began to plunge into her fast and hard to the point where Kamber felt the sand grinding into her back from the pressure.
“Edward….” She gasped, “Go slower!” Edward didn’t seem to hear her as he continued to pound into her until Kamber felt dizzy when he suddenly stopped. Kamber felt a warm feeling fill her insides and she sighed, sinking onto the sand. Edward removed himself from her before bending down and picking the girl off the sand. He carried her back inside before laying her in the bathtub. She realized she was covered in sand and didn’t protest as Edward turned on the warm water and plugged the drain. She was surprised though when he climbed in after her before pulling her toward him.
Kamber suddenly realized that he still was in beast mode as he hastily tore her bra off and tossed it onto the floor. As the water began to fill up the tub, Edward pulled her toward him before setting her on his lap. Kamber felt his hard self against her thigh and felt her face flush when he stared at her with darkened eyes.
Slowly Edward lifted her up until he was positioned at her entrance before he pushed her hips down, slamming himself up into her. Kamber gasped but this time not in pain as Edward gripped her hips tightly, probably leaving finger marks behind.
Kamber placed her hands on his shoulders and pressed her head to his as Edward lifted and then pushed her hips down, no longer slow but at a pace that seemed almost impossible.
Kamber felt herself climaxing when it suddenly dawned on her that Edward hadn’t climaxed earlier. Was that what it meant for him to be satisfied? That he had to climax? So, the sooner he climaxed, the sooner he was out of beast mode.
Edward slammed into her one more time before Kamber felt herself release around him, sinking against him. Edward didn’t stay in the water long. Just long enough to wash the sand off both of them before he lifted Kamber out and began to dry her.
When Kamber finished drying, Edward gripped her by the hips and lifted her up till her legs wrapped around his waist. He pressed her back against the wall hard before he entered her without waiting. Kamber cried out in pleasure as he began to enter her hard and fast, his hands on her hips and her legs around his waist.
“Edward….” She gasped, pressing her face into his neck.
She never got to finish for Edward speed ran to the bedroom and threw her onto the bed. Kamber bounced at the impact before Edward climbed on top of her and entered her again. It felt like they were there for hours, Edward never once wavering in his fast pace. Kamber was beginning to get tired and could no longer keep her legs wrapped around his waist.
Finally, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed a kiss to his ear, “Edward…. I love you.” She didn’t know where it came from, but it felt like Edward got larger inside of her! She felt him begin to vibrate inside of her and she realized what was coming. Edward picked up his pace until he finally drove into her hard and released.
Kamber fell back, completely wasted and not caring that she was bare to Edward’s view. Edward panted as he slowly slipped out of her before looking down at her with his usual eyes, no longer a beast. Kamber was on the verge of falling asleep, her arms and legs exhausted and laying limp on the bed. Her stomach was a pinkish color from where he had driven into her mercilessly and there were handprints on her hips and thighs.
What shocked him was that her body was covered in bright red marks where he had marked her as his.
“Oh Kamber,” he whispered, bending over her to kiss each of the red-hot marks, “Love I’m so sorry.” Kamber opened her eyes when she felt him kiss the marks that littered her chest and her waist. She weakly reached down and pulled him up before laying down next to him, curling up against his chest. She planted a kiss on his lips before nuzzling her face into his chest.
“Don’t apologize,” she whispered. “it was wonderful.”
With that, she fell into a deep dreamless sleep and Edward found himself laying there, watching her sleeping with a huge smile on his face.

A little more Spirit And Oxygen
Here’s another sneak peak at my TMNT fic, “Spirit And Oxygen: Across The Universe” which is part of my “Mikey The Lifegiver” fic series. It chronicles Mikey’s adventures in major depression, brain damage, and being the actual heart and soul and light of the team. http://archiveofourown.org/series/599863 This will probably be the final story, which means it might as well be a chapter fic, which means that this is officially Chapter One. Yes. I feel good about this. Stuff that is my heacanon here: 1) Shinigami is in a polyamorous relationship with Karai and Michelangelo, and the ladies have their own bedroom in the lair. 2) Raph has taken a shine to Shini and her attitudes on life and is so proud his little brother has such an awesome loveperson who is also banging his awesome sister. 3) April has finally decided to try dating both Donnie and Casey, although she’s spent more time with Don, and Casey doesn’t mind. 4) Splinter and Shredder are dead. Shredder killed Splinter and then the boys teamed up with Karai to kill Shredder, and Leo decapitated Shredder after Karai punched Shredder in the heart after Mikey knocked out Shredder with a kick to the face. Shredder’s henchmen have teamed up with Purple Dragons and other gangs, and have recreated robot Foot ninjas. Splinter appears as a spirit to the Hamato family. 5) The Mighty Mutanimals are very involved in the turtles’ lives. Mondo has learned first aid from Dr Rockwell and engineering from Don. 6) Leo and Karai have been duel sensei-ing and still argue over who gets to be Actual Sensei. 7) Abandoned military bases are turned into hide-outs for the more vicious, feral, and angry mutants in every borough. Mikey, Mondo, and Shini like to try and find them to befriend the tamer, friendlier ones. Karai and Raph wind up getting angry out of love and fear. 8) Mikey is Donnie’s assistant in the lab and is a field medic who uses his emotional empathic reach to comfort the injured; he can be telepathic when he tries hard, but it gives him migraines. 9) Mikey has developed epilepsy following a brain injury, but it also boosts his spiritual powers. He and Raph share an empathic connection. ...I really got attached to Deanna Troi and Jean Grey when I was a teenager, okay? Also, I am happy to discuss where the rest of the story might go and how and why. I’ll often switch to several perspectives in one chapter, like April (Storm) or Karai (Iron) or Ghost Of Splinter (Wind) or Shinigami (Magic). Mostly I’m just in love with writing Donnie talking about Mikey. (PS, Mikey is Oxygen, duh. Don is Earth, Raph is Fire, Leo is Water. The Tumblr post for Mikey The Lifegiver is the second most popular blog post I’ve written so far. The first one is me waxing pagan about winter gods) Also, for my regular readers: You knew this sort of thing was gonna happen again. It’s all I write. Apparently, though, since 1999, I’ve had the most wonderful contemporaries and competition. You hardcore Mikey fans, you’re the best, I love you all.
Donnie’s dreaming hard again, and he cherishes it. Usually is dreams are soft and quick, minnows in a stream, full of chrome and rust and the scent of oil, and there are tiny things in his hands, beeping and whirring, and there are giant things in front of him, clicking and rumbling; and the scars all over his hands reminds him that these are his, he made them, and they make sounds at him as though they are praising him.
Almost a year ago, shortly after Splinter died and Shredder died and Karai moved in, things began happening that challenged every science imaginable, but Donnie learned to be completely fine with it. Aside from Leo and Karai in a constant subtle battle over who would be sensei, Raph mellowed out and Mikey stopped pranking. Donnie was the only one who recognized Mikey as the catalyst: after enduring a series of traumas that they wouldn’t wish on their enemies, Mikey had become quieter, softer. His odd hyperfocusing moments turned on books without pictures and science documentaries and Donnie spent three weeks spying on him; it was no surprise when Mikey caught him each time, because Mikey had changed the most. Donnie and April ran every single test, and Mikey endured them with a strange fidgeting patience, but Rockwell in the end explained that Mikey’s Dimension X brain had finally caught up with him. He was almost like April. Don stopped being surprised when a beaker full of An Unusual Chemical dropped from his hands and floated back up to the table, despite it only being him and Mikey. Mikey, who folded his arms and grinned cheekily, and that was the day Donnie went to the closet and handed him a lab coat with his name on it.
Between their rotating autistic traits and interests, Donnie with engineering and physical science and Mikey with social sciences and cultural studies, they managed to create Things that made the lair easier to live in. With Mikey around, it was easier to navigate the entire city and study humans’ patterns, so certain stores, warehouses, junkyards, and clinics would stay their “borrowing” targets. With Donnie around, they had vehicles and cloaking devices to move further and deeper in.
So Donnie dreams heavily, about jumping from roof to roof in Staten Island, looking for that one military facility that up until now always had staff. Mikey is right behind him, ready with both kusarigama and grappling hook. Donnie stops and signals, and Mikey presses right against his carapace, wrapping one arm around his waist, extending the other to aim the grappling gun. Don signals again, and Mikey pushes off and practically flies – scratch that, he literally glides – and Donnie feels perfectly utterly safe as he casually throws an arm around his little brother’s shoulders. Mikey wouldn’t let them drop; they’d only hover. That’s how good he’s gotten. The grappling hook keeps catching on roof edges and Mikey lets it hover and glide to the next and the next, and they keep going.
They’re on the roof of the facility, over a mile from where they started, and Donnie pries open the secret door and they move in, and their flashlights roam. They remove their backpacks when he finds the correct room, and collect the items he’s already listed on his T-Phone. It’s silent, it’s swift, and the only thing that warns him is Mikey’s hiss and his voice in Donnie’s head: Donnie, get DOWN—
And Donnie flattens himself on the floor and the creature grazes him with a long metal toe as it leaps over him, and his right shoulder and bicep both rip open wide and his body spills blood rapidly. But it’s not the pain that makes him scream. It’s the strangled screeching gasp, full of pure agony and horror, that Mikey makes from somewhere behind him. No living creature should be making a sound like that unless it’s about to die...
There is precious seconds of heavy silence, and he hears Mikey make that familiar, inhuman growl that all the turtles make when enraged, when their human sides shrink and their literal reptilian brains take over with crushing power. The creature howls in pain and shock, and Mikey lets out a roar that contains Donnie’s name scrawled into it, and then there is crashing, there is stabbing, punching, shrieking, snarling, bones cracking and flesh squelching and liquid spurting and other noises that Donnie will hear in his post-traumatic nightmares. Donnie crawls forward, collapses on his back, turns around and forces himself to stand.
The creature has Mikey pinned to the ground, and shadowed blood is pooling everywhere. And then Mikey kicks and flips the creature over with a furious shriek, and through the darkness Donnie sees his teeth flash in a savage grin, you do not want to see that kind of smile on Mikey’s face, and Donnie sees him coated in shadows, launching again at the creature, smacking his nunchaku again and again…and then the creature stops moving, stops making noise; and Donnie hears his own harsh, pained breathing, and his brother’s harsh, pained breathing, and he manages to call out, “Mikey, are you okay?”
There’s a pause. “I’m always okay, Dee,” comes a breezy reply, but it is thin and strained. “Hey, Dee, what’s hurt on you?”
“My right shoulder and upper arm, but I can patch it up. You?”
A longer pause, much much longer.
“Can I take a raincheck on answering that?”
Donnie feels his gut turn to ice. “Mikey?”
He sees the dark figure of his brother hold up a finger. “Just…gimme…a sec.”
Within that second, Mikey falls to his knees. Donnie feels himself lurch forward. His eyes strain. The shadows on his brother are not shadows. They are too shiny. He’s covered in it.
No. No. Please, no, not again, I can’t handle this again.
It’s not the blood loss making Donnie feel so dizzy. He struggles to move, and watches, in slow motion, as Mikey falls over completely, smacking the floor, and it is a wet smack, and liquid is still pooling around him. And Don starts to hyperventilate, because he’s not sure where the light switch might be in this room and where the first aid kits are, and suddenly the darkness is too dark and the floor opens up and he is being swallowed, and he cannot reach Mikey, and then he falls, and as he falls his T-Phone rings, and something presses its energy button, and it’s blaring in his ears, louder and louder, calling MIkey’s name.
Donatello bolts up screaming, and it is too dark and he can’t see. A door crashes open. A body launches at him, and before he can take another breath, a pair of arms are wrapped around him and a plastron is pressed against his, and his chin is on a broad muscley shoulder, and the scent he breathes in is pure Raphael.
“Raph,” he squeaks out. “Hey--”
“Sshhh, Donnie, easy,” the hoarse voice murmurs. “It was a dream. You’re okay.”
He finds himself awkwardly patting his older brother’s upper carapace, trying to politely pull away. “Raph…Raph, I realize that…can I breathe? Please?”
Raph pulls away, green eyes serpentine in the darkness of his bedroom. The way his head tilts, too.
“I’m fine, Raph. I promise. I know it’s a nightmare.”
Those eyes and that head tilt remain fixed on him.
“Donnie, this is your fourth nightmare. Do you realize that?”
Really?
“Um. No?” He’s been so busy between his lab and the sectioned-off infirmary that Rockwell and Slash and Casey helped build that he sometimes doesn’t remember going to bed.
“Well, it is. And I’ll bet it’s the exact same one. Yours are weird.” Raph sits back, agura style, and Donnie draws his knees up to make room. “They’re like clockwork. Once a week. And, y’know, this is the fourth week since--”
“I know. And you guys dragged me to my own bed when you knew I wouldn’t stay here.”
“You did this time,” Raph points out.
“True. Wait, I did?”
“Congratulations on a full twelve hours of sleep, bro. It’s ten in the morning.”
Donnie feels his eyes grow wide. He throws the covers off and jumps off his bed. “I’m missing work, I--”
Raph’s strong hand slaps against his chest. “Remember what we all agreed on? Until your shoulder and arm is fully functional, you don’t do anything complex without someone helping you. I hope you were planning on asking someone.”
Donnie narrows his eyes. “Do you know how to handle the complex alien chemicals I need to work on? Plus the newer components of the retromutagen?”
“If not me, you have April. Or Rockwell. Or Shini.”
Donnie sighs, looks at his immobilized arm, and sighs again.
“You’re a stubborn bastard, Hamato Donatello.”
“You’re worse.”
“I am a paragon of complacency, little brother.”
And Donnie winces. “Try not to call me that?”
“Oh. Right. I forgot. You’re right. Sorry, Don.”
Donnie sighs and gets dressed.
“Um.” Raph rubs the back of his head. “So, nothing’s changed this morning. That’s…like, good, right? Kinda?”
“Kinda,” Donnie says. “It means that Mikey is continuing to heal. Which is the best we can hope for in this situation.”
As he heads out of his room and toward the lab doors, Raph catches up. “You should eat something first.”
“I need to check his vitals and change his IV bags.”
“Karai did that.”
“Even the GI tube?”
“Yeah, that one too.”
Donnie pauses. “I just need to see…”
“Donnie.” Raph is impossibly firm, and very soft. “Donnie, everything you could do has been done. We’ve watched you and learned from you for a whole month. It’s a routine. And part of the routine is that those of us who aren’t doing the routine help ourselves first. It’s your turn.”
Donnie is very silent as Raph steers him toward the kitchen. Leo is finishing up a plate of eggs, toast, and tea. Shinigami is making two more plates.
“Oh, you got him up! Good morning, Donatello. Did your nightmare complete itself?” The witch’s smile is knowing and polite, and he has gotten used to her specific brand of sass. She is, after all his little brother’s girlfriend and his sister’s girlfriend.
He mumbles “yes” because shrugging his shoulders still hurts. He eats mechanically, even as he is poked at to make conversation. Raph has started giving him daily protein shakes. There is one next to his plate. He drinks it and crushes the bottle, casually proving how fine he is. Sometimes the others forget how strong he is.
He misses having Mikey around to defend him.
“I’ll be in the infirmary,” Shinigami says, and Donnie startles. When he looks at her, he sees dark, deep circles under her eyes. Her fair complexion is blotchy and even paler than usual. And he wants to slap himself. She loves him. She has so much love, she loves Mikey and Karai so much. And Karai, to see her baby brother like this. Abruptly, he stands up, wraps his arms around Shini, and grips her like one of Mikey’s famous octopus hugs.
She simply buries her face in his neck and holds him tight.
* * * *
Donnie is at his computer. As he’s reading and copying notes, he can’t help but hear her from the infirmary corner, and after a while he gives up trying to ignore it. He stretches his neck to catch a glimpse.
Shinigami has been sitting by Mikey’s bedside for fifteen minutes, and she only started speaking a couple of minutes ago. Don sees her hand tighten around Mikey’s as she talks.
“…keeps insisting nothing hurts, of course, but I refuse to believe her. Even when she shifted back and forth to her snake form, I could tell her arm was giving her trouble. Even the snake looked sad!” A small laugh, humorless. “Oh, sweet Mikey, you should see the looks she gives me when I point out her pain. She thinks I don’t see it. I see everything about her.” A pause. “I see everything about you too, you know. I see the subtle shifts in your facial muscles when you slip one of your behavior masks on. You know what I mean. When you fake smile, or your laugh is not real? I see it. You should not ever be sad, my Mikey. I told Karai I would do anything to protect her. Now that promise extends to you. Therefore, you must recover from this. You must hold me again so I can tell you I love you. You must hold me tightly, like an octopus, and laugh into my hair, and spin me around, and talk about your comics and your television shows. Tell me about Hamato Yoshi and how he adored you. Tell me about your brothers and your adoration of each of them, how they are your heroes. You and Donatello are very close. I know you wish to have so much knowledge and skill the way does.”
Donnie bites his lip and blushes a little. He almost feels like a sensei, in a way, the way Mikey looks at him while he works or while he is showing Mikey a project. He pictures the last lesson they’d had. April was there. She and Mikey were side by side, chins in their hands, looking at him lovingly, freckled faces and blue eyes alight, looking like mischievous twins.
He wants Mikey to wake up and look like that again.
He doesn’t know when Mikey will wake up. That hurts him most of all. This coma is different, deep and frightening. Mikey lost a lot of blood, and the mutant hit him in the neck, and Donnie knows how bad that can be. Concussion. Oxygen loss. Brain function compromised. Brain damage. Mikey already has enough. Donnie is worried.
Shini’s voice startles him.
“We miss you, Michelangelo. I miss you. I…need you. You must come back soon. Please.” And Donnie watches as Shinigami leans forward and presses her lips to Mikey’s, and smiles. She squeezes his limp, broken hand again. She stands up and begins to walk toward the door, then changes course, coming toward the lab. Donnie blinks at her.
She smiles at him. “What you working on?”
“Oh, um…” he glances down. “Taking notes on neurobiological function in humans and reptiles. I believe our brains are almost fully human, but we probably have neuronal and hormonal responses similar to diamondback turtles, too.”
“Mikey will sometimes make little noises,” Shini offers. “They’re not human.”
Donnie nods. “Yes. Chirping. Cooing. Growling. A kind of purring growl, like churring. Hissing.”
He shifted through the pages, wrote down some more notes.
“You aren’t going to do that all day, are you?”
Donnie glances up. Shini has leaned her hip against the table and is smirking. “Leo wants everyone in the dojo for training. Is this very important?”
He bites his lip, looks at his screen. “I guess it can wait until later.” He saves the file. Shinigami takes him by the elbow and steers him out of the lab. Interestingly, Raph is waiting there, arms crossed. He smirks and nods. “Good. Good Donnie.” Shinigami giggles, as if the two had planned it.
“How’s Mikey?” Raph asks, automatically.
Shini just shrugs. “The same. Karai wonders if I can use my witchcraft to find him in the astral plane. It is a thought.”
Raph raises an eyeridge. “Damn straight, it’s a thought. He’s been healing pretty well. Maybe it’s time to try reaching out to him instead of waiting for him to wake up.”
Donatello sits up straight and snaps his fingers. “It can be a family effort!” That seems to light a fire in Raphael, and he joyfully reaches out to fistbump Shinigami, who has a wide smirk on her face and a glint in her eye. Donnie feels stronger and happier than he’s felt in weeks.
