Sometimes they even describe sexual issues in detail with no sense of shame or respect for their spouses. It’s always either they’re too young, already divorced, or constantly whining. Ugh. Ranelle Brown has similar content, but live—which is even worse because you hear Muslim married men or women talking about how they cheated or are having another relationship on the side. You hear how disgusting they are and how they feel no remorse whatsoever

You see how awful people can be in relationships—things can get ugly real quick. I mean, sure, you don’t see the good ones because happy couples don’t post or complain. But this ‘reality’ content just reinforces my belief that real marriage isn’t what it used to be. People don’t want to put in the work, their fantasies are distorted by online content, movies, and so on. Why would anyone even risk it nowadays for ‘someone’? How could you ever fully trust someone in a marriage? Maybe I’m just being pessimistic, but I can’t imagine putting that much faith in someone without constantly questioning if they’re really who they say they are. Trust is such a huge part of any relationship, but with all the stories of betrayal and deception out there, it feels almost impossible to trust someone completely. How do you know they won’t change or hurt you when things get tough? It’s like you’re expected to take this massive leap of faith, hoping for the best but always fearing the worst. I get that no relationship is perfect, but the idea of giving someone that much power over your emotions and happiness—among other things—is terrifying. How do people do it without constantly worrying about being let down?
