Tonight is a night for song writing with Angelina (she is my guitar; as pictured. Named her after a Dean Brody song; same way I named my car). Taking a bit of break from story writing (but will have chapters 6 and 7 typed tonight of "World Behind My Wall"). I am currently working on a song called "Blue". It's a soft country song about how blue someone can make you feel; especially when you are in love with them. “Over and over the only truth—everything comes back to you.” I lay snuggled, sinking into blankets and pillows, glistening like a sun bathing seal in the tree light bulbs. The enigmatic sights and Italian sounds of the cinema treasure—The Godfather, plays over the living room scape and I say to myself— “What a wonderful world!!!” Yet—to say I’m humbled, honored and absolutely smitten is an understatement of epic proportions. I mean...to be sharing the everlasting gift of music with my darling niece/goddaughter, @macianne18 for Christmas, is simply all I need to complete a magical holiday season. Blessed. I knew she REALLY wanted this @niallhoran album for a very, very long time—since before it was even written, I’m certain—so this was a no brainer. The utterly cool and instantaneous moment about this that is just my favorite, is the fact that she didn’t know if I wanted the Niall album or if I would like something else...but being that she knew I love and collect vinyl (she has a bit of a stubborn/self sufficient confidence about her—she’s definitely my niece. Go figure)...so she took it upon herself to get me the same damn album because it’s what SHE loves and wanted. She was super torn between Niall and the @harrystyles album but had what she called “an epiphany after fate brought Niall back around” at @barnesandnoble and to be honest—I would have been just as happy if she got me Harry or any of the other @onedirection lads—because she is her own self. She is her own damn independent soul on her own journey who is in love with love, music, family, friends, cats and most importantly—herself. This is just a Flicker of the light she brings me. How fun to be friends with your favorite and get each other the same gifts?! Music speaks when we can't. There is a song for every feeling, every emotion...literally everything. Music (and writing) has always been my way of communication because I find it so hard to express my feelings or my thoughts. My head never stops, so trying to explain something to someone is very, very hard as my mind is literally like NASCAR, Formula 1 and a demolition derby in one. My thoughts are the cars in the race and when I try to speak, my words are like the cars in a derby.
