Qualifications Live Blog Part 1
(I’ll be editing this post throughout the day!)
Rotation 1
Aaaand we open with Evita Griskenas with hoop! She failed to go through the hoop for one of the risks. Some rhythm breaks and a small hop during one of the balances, but strong start otherwise! - 30.500 (tighter scoring than the rest of the season)
Praewa Philaphandeth (ball)- Some lack of amplitude during the jetes. Multiple two handed risks, she missed some rotations during her second risk and improvised a bit. No major mistakes for her, fortunately! Good start for her and she can call herself an Olympian now! - 21.600
Vera Tugolukova (hoop) - first hesitation during the first risk, she had to adjust the hoop. Small fumble, she got her foot caught in the hoop. What a save! Big deviation in the end but she dragged herself ob the carpet to catch it! Multiple execution mistakes overall for her, she was definitely nervous! - 31.150
Takhmina Ikromova (ball) - one of the gymnasts “in the bubble”. Form break during the penche pivot, but she managed to stay up. Strong start for her, very dynamic overall, no major mistakes. - 32.350
Aliaa Saleh (hoop)- a very expressive gymnast! Multiple small mistakes, she had quite a lot of fumbles. Some lack of amplitude during the jetes. Managed to save the last risk which had somewhat of a deviated trajectory. - 28.700
Boryana Kaleyn (ball) - new leo for her! Very careful during the first set of rolls. Small hop during the fouettes. No hesitation at all during the out of sight catches! I think she had one AD left in the end, but she ran out of time. -34.600
Stiliana Nikolova (hoop) - new leo for Stili as well! Wonderful penche pivot in the beginning! She opted not to do the AD where she rebounces the hoop on her chest. DROP! WHAT A SILLY MISTAKE! Form break during the plank balance, hip too forward. She started the routine strongly, but lost concentration towards the end… - 33.900
Alexandra Kiroi-Bogatyreva (ball) - deviated first risk and she has to grab the ball with both hands. Second risk deviated as well, but she manages to save it with one hand. Form break during the penche balance. And she saves the last roll just barely! Finishes a bit after the music. - 28.550
Fanni Pigniczki (hoop) - small execution mistakes for Fanni in the beginning, she kept the apparatus too close to the body. Missed first risk! She threw the hoop too far and made a run for it. Messy form as well. So sad for her, hoop is by far her best apparatus! - 32.650
Zohra Aghamirova (ball) - I swear it’s the first time I see Zohra smiling this season! Loss of shape during the side plank balance. Deviated risk but managed to catch the ball without hands. Multiple small execution mistakes for her, but nothing really major. - 30.200
Sofia Raffaeli (hoop) - red lipstick for Sofi, she’s here to kill it! A two handed catch of a risk. Small fumble after her signature risk. Good body difficulty. I think she opted for a lower apparatus difficulty today. Calm and content routine overall! - 35.700
Darja Varfolomeev (ball) - form break during penche pivot, her torso kept going up and down. Clean routine for her, but definitely more reserved in her dance steps, less amplitude in body moves during choreography. - 36.450
Elzhana Taniyeva (hoop) - big deviated risk in the beginning, but she managed to grab it! Some travelling during the fouettes. Rhythm break - she had to wait for the hoop after a big throw. Another deviated risk in the end but saves it! - 30.750
Alba Bautista (ball) - HUGE mistake for Alba… Ball slips and she launches it forward with her foot, has to make a run to prevent an OOB. Ugh, she started so well… - 28.100 and this might’ve cost her the top 10…
Taisiia Onofriichuk (hoop) - HUGE routine for Taisiia! The head she’s got! Wonderful interpretation of the music! A deviated throw in the beginning and had to run for it after the BD under it and had another two-handed catch of one risk, but overall a clean routine! - 34.250
Zilu Wang (ball) - what a delight Zilu is! Some fumbles and had two really close calls where she almost dropped during a roll. Some catches with two hands and travelled a bit during the fouettes. - 32.000
Annaliese Dragan (hoop) - deviated risk without hands, but saved it. Big step out of the cambre pivot. OH BIG DROP AND GOES OOB TO RETRIEVE THE HOOP. Falls in the process of retrieving the apparatus and hurried back to the carpet to finish… Too bad, she started so well… - 27.200
Daria Atamanov (ball) - another gymnast “in the bubble”. Lack of amplitude during the dynamic balance and the side plank balance that followed. A weird mistake to make, unless she battling an injury… Small fumble and she almost drops. Kept the apparatus a bit closer to her body than she usually does and the amplitude wasn’t as good as usual, she definitely was nervous. - 32.700
Helene Karbanov (hoop) - starts the routine well, but unfortunately continues with a big fumble and almost launches her hoop out of bounds. She manages without a drop, fortunately! Some form breaks during BDs. - 30.500
Ekaterina Vedeneeva (ball) - strong BD work from her. She caught almost all of her risks with two hands, she’s decided to play it safe here. Strong start for her overall! - 32.600
Polina Berezina (hoop) - strong start of the routine, clean BD work. She’s a bit behind the music I believe, didn’t hit some of the accents she shouldn’ve hit. DROP AND HOOP GOES OOB! Has to go for the replacement! Such a shame, she was doing incredibly well… - 29.700
Barbara Domingos (ball) - two hands to catch the risk and another one where she had to drag a bit to get it, but good strong work from her! Wonderful interpretation of the music and some interesting ADs as well! - 33.100
Margarita Kolosov (hoop) - strong first routine from Marga! Had some small mistakes and the first risk was big and had to hurry a bit with the elements under it, but got it safely! - 34.550
Milena Baldassarri (ball) - good start for Milena as well! Some bumpy rolls and she had put two hands on the ball during the last risk. Strong music interpretation! - 32.750
Rotation 2
Evita Griskenas (ball) - missed the first few seconds of her routine. No major mistakes for her, some rhythm breaks here and there. Two hands on the ball to save one of the risks. - 31.200
Praewa Philaphandeth (hoop) - Drops the first risk, retrieves the hoop immediately. Multiple mistakes, not as clean as her first routine. - 21.600
Vera Tugolukova (ball) - drops the ball right in the beginning, such a silly mistake… Some bent knees during fouettes. Almost falls out of the illusion turn, but she fought through. Break of rhythm in the end when she had to wait for the ball. - 31.200
Takhmina Ikromova (hoop) - strong start of the routine, very focused work. Follows the music well. Good body difficulty. MISTAKE NO! FUMBLES THE HOOP AND DROPS. Balance drops as well from the difficulty value… Such a pity, she was almost done with the routine. - 31.700
Aliaa Saleh (ball) - lack of amplitude of the penche balance. Didn’t finish one full rotation of the penche pivot in combination. Misses the roll and drops. Couple steps to retrieve the apparatus. Finishes a bit after the music. - 28.150
Boryana Kaleyn (hoop) - better pivots this time! A bit of a fumble during the last risk, but manages to save it. Finishes a bit after the music. Strong routine for Boryana! - 35.350
Stiliana Nikolova (ball) - only two rotations under the second to last risk and decided not to do the rethrow, misses difficulty points there. Big step out of the side pivot. Better than hoop, but still lower than what she can achieve. - 34.700
Alexandra Kiroi-Bogatyreva (hoop) - big step out of the side balance. Small fumbles throughout, the apparatus touches the body. Wonderful finish! Nice catch out of side with the leg! - 30.550
Fanni Pigniczki (ball) - needs 3 clean routines to make the top 10 safely after her hoop. And she does it! No major mistakes for Fanni! - 32.600
Zohra Aghamirova (hoop) - not the highest diffusion, but she did a good job! - 32.500
Sofia Raffaeli (ball) - wonderful penche pivot to start. Oops small fumble, but holds on. Misses the penche balances, she didn’t hold the position long enough. Back leg smacks the carpet after the jump. A bit after the music… - 34.450
Darja Varfolomeev (hoop) - DROP AND HOOP GOES OOB! Goes for the replacement! Rhytm break, has to wait for the music to start the dance steps. -32.500
Elzhana Taniyeva (ball) - superb combined pivot to start the routine! DROP! She just barely gets to it before it goes OOB. Finishes after the music. -32.000
Alba Bautista (hoop) - small fumble while catching the first risk. BIG DROP AND SHE MAKES A RUN FOR IT! I don’t think it went OOB but the angle wasn’t good. I feel so bad for her, she was a lock for the final had she done four clean routines. - 31.100
Taisiia Onofriichuk (ball) - biiig risk and she has to hurry to get it (almost a miss)! No clear dance steps sequence. Clean routine for Taisiia, what a wonderful first Olympics for her! - 35.250
Zilu Wang (hoop) - good routine for her overall, without major mistakes. Some BD trouble, however, some were not as clean and clear as they should’ve. - 34.200
Annaliese Dragan (ball) - much stronger than hoop! No major mistakes for her! - 30.550
Daria Atamanov (hoop) - cleaner, but still had some BD trouble. - 33.250
Helene Karbanov (ball) - good routine for her! Had some execution mistakes and she did grab the ball quite a bit, but definitely better than hoop! - 32.350
Ekaterina Vedeneeva (hoop) - clean work from Katya! A bit of hopping during fouettes, but wonderful attitude pivot to start! - 34.150
Polina Berezina (ball) - no major mistakes for Poli, but she did lose some AD points. The rolls weren’t as clean as they should’ve been and she had to wait a bit under some risks to catch the apparatus. - 32.750
Barbara Domingos (hoop) - what a day for Barbi!! Hesitated a bit under one of the risks, but she got it the end! Very expressive! Strong routine! - 34.750
Margarita Kolosov (ball) - calm and clean overall! Happy to see Marga do a good job! - 33.000
Milena Baldassarri (hoop) - two hands to catch the final risk, which a bit deviated and had to hurry to cover the distance. Clean routine for Milena overall! - 33.300

The Underclass. 5
Story: 5
Acting: 8
Chemistry: 7
I’m not sure if it’s the overall tone of the drama or if the storyline just wasn’t for me, but I really couldn’t get into this one that much. For me it might have to do with a lot of cliche moments and cringy roll eye really situations too, but sometimes it did even it out with some cute funny moments too. 🤷♀️ I guess I really wasn’t the targeted audience for this one. I think if you really like the whole cliche school teen genre tropes of dramas this would be a must watch. You’ll either love it or not.

Summary
Stakes are high on the cheerleading team, as every member is competing for the chance to become this year’s center position. However, when Praewa, a talented nobody joins the team, the other members are threatened by her and constantly terrorize her hoping she’ll leave. However, when they break an important bottle of magic that Praewa had been protecting, she decides to make them pay. She summons spirits and demons using her blood, writing the message that they must die. As the other members are terrorized by ghouls and demons out to kill them, she trains even harder to take on the center position so she can have the last laugh. However, they will not give up so easily and will fight to the last minute to survive and achieve their goal. Can they manage this when their lives are threatened every night?
Review
JUSTICE FOR MY GIRL PRAEWA!!!!!!!!!
You know I couldn’t end Spooky month without something spooky. Since I have done a Korean, Japanese and Chinese drama already for this month, I figured I would round it out with a Thai drama. I stumbled upon this drama about two months ago, but at the time there weren’t full subs. On a whim I decided to check in again and we were blessed. Now, I I just need to start this off by saying, JUSTICE FOR PRAEWA!!!! My girl didn’t do anything wrong ever in her life. She deserves everything and should’ve gotten a happy ending. Fuck everybody else. PERIOD.
This drama was actually pretty enjoyable and very well acted for a relatively green cast. I loved the creepy elements and wished we got a lot more gore. The story was very simple to follow and even the twist in the end was seen from miles away. I really enjoyed watching Ticha’s transformation from being a meek, slightly weird girl to this venomous demon hellbent on revenge. Personally, I would have killed Brave first and foremost, but I understood the choice to have him be later because of the whole mystery behind the girl in the video. The story in truth really did a great job of connecting the dots and every person she took revenge on was involved in someway except for probably Khaimook.
So there seems to be quite the controversy saying that this drama involved a lot of queerbaiting because the trailer showed the BL scene. In context, I don’t think there was any? However, it is not my place entirely to say so. The kiss and sex scene was forced upon the guys as they have said multiple times that they were straight AND because of the black magic. Like the characters themselves were queerbaiting within the show kinda?
Overall, thoroughly enjoyable show. I would rewatch it. I justice think that Praew deserved so much better. JUSTICE FOR PRAEWA! I recommend if you’re into dark magic and revenge stories.
