👉🏻 There are so many of them tbh that it’s kinda hard to choose a fave... but, some of my favorites are:

...the AKB48 Studio Recordings Collection—wherein each album cover is inspired by a particular team stage song (for example, A5’s “Renai Kinshi Jourei”, with Miichan on the tabloid-like cover... pun unintended tho uwu)...

...BNK48’s first album, “RIVER”, looks like a glass or marble sculpture coming from a high-end museum; tbh their single/album/stage cd cover jackets are well planned since Aitakatta, and aesthetically pleasing~ in MNL48’s case, the only good-looking cover amongst all their cd jacket covers is the initial High Tension cutout-ish cover jacket imo...

...and lastly, the Limited Edition CD cover jacket for Morning Musume ‘17’s 15th studio album, “(15) Thank you, too”, that’s paying homage to the group’s first studio album, “First Time”’s cover... because they had celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2017.

For J-Pop, I’m actually torn between a couple of songs <3 First up:

Fukyouwaon | Keyakizaka46

I fell in love with this group as soon as I heard them not only for their catchy songs, but their meaningful lyrics. Fukyouwaon tops them all in the badass scale however with lyrics about objecting to powers that be and not giving up whatever it takes. I’ve included both the live version and the studio version, as I feel that when the song is performed live, the girls give their everything, elevating the song to the next level <3

RIVER | AKB48 (CC button for English subtitles)

AKB48 is a group that tends to cross into overly cute territory a lot, but River is one of a couple of exceptions. (Honourable mention goes to Beginner - just take note though, the original MV is considered gory but I still love it, so if you just want to listen to the song, check out the equally great Thai version by BNK48 here) River is not as full-on as Fukyouwaon was, but it instead boasts a great beat teamed with lyrics about not giving up no matter what the obstacles lie ahead <3 One of my favourite J-Pop songs <3

GDH’s upcoming projects

A thriller movie starring James and BNK48’s Cherprang. Its trailer is gonna be released around the beginning of October. And the movie itself is gonna show in thailand’s cinemas on Oct 25, 2018. (People assumed that the title is Friend Zone??)

BNK48 series directed by P’Ping (A director and scriptwriter of Hormones The Series). it’s expected to be on air next year.

A documentary film about Bodyslam’s Toon’s long charity run, showing in thailand’s cinemas on Sep 6

A rom-com movie directed by Mu Chayanop (a director of suckseed and may who?) has Nine Naphat as a male lead and Baifern Pimchanok as a female lead. It’s gonna be in thailand’s cinemas around the beginning of 2019.

The release date of 9x9’s drama called ‘เลือดข้นคนจาง (Brothers — if the english title hasn’t been changed)’ is Sep 15, 2018. It will premiere on One31.

The Hong Kong superstar returns to the Far East Film Festival after 20 years! Back in Udine to collect his Golden Mulberry Award for Outstanding Achievement and present the wonderful Still Human

Friday the 3rd of May. Penultimate day of the 21st Far East Film Festival. After Jeon Do-yeon and Yao Chen, it's time to turn the festival's spotlights on another superstar: Anthony Wong! He's played the lead in masterpieces like Johnnie To's The Mission. He's starred in unforgettable cult movies like Andrew Lau and Alan Mak's Infernal Affairs. He's been a hit man, a cop, a romantic hero and a serial killer. He's played every role in every genre, from crime and comedy to fantasy and splatter. His filmography is practically infinite, and it's no exaggeration to say that he is the face of the last thirty years of Hong Kong cinema...

Already a guest at the very first edition of the FEFF in 1999, when he presented Beast Cops by Gordon Chan and Dante Lam, Anthony now returns to Udine exactly twenty years later to collect his Golden Mulberry Award for Outstanding Achievement (taking his place in the Udine hall of fame alongside other giants of Asian cinema including Jackie Chan, Joe Hisaishi, Feng Xiaogang, Johnnie To and Brigitte Lin). A precious opportunity to see - or to see again - Mr. Wong close-up and to applaud two films that symbolise his history: his debut movie My Name Ain't Suzie, screened on April 30th, and the magnificent Still Human, showing at 7.40 pm today, which will see Anthony take the stage of the FEFF together with the film's director Oliver Chan and co-star Crisel Consunji.

Oliver Chan was crowned best new director (and Crisel Consunji nominated for best actress and best new actress) at the last Hong Kong Film Festival, and another film that was an awards hit at the festival is in the line-up for the eighth day of the FEFF: nail-biting thriller Project Gutenberg by Felix Chong. After a near-death experience, hotel executive Katy discovers she can see ghosts.
