Leaving a relationship at the drop of the hat was not in her character. She loved romance. Rosalie liked where they were heading, or so she thought. After he voiced deep thoughts and went to sleep she was wide awake, slightly panicked. She couldn’t do this. She wasn’t ready. That night she slipped from his arms and quietly left his home, never to see him again. After some soul searching aka traveling she returned home, to her parents. After a week of being home and reacquainting herself, she returned to work.

It had now been almost a month since her return and about three months since she left Antoni. She was out with friends until they all split up and ended up leaving her behind. It was late and the rain was pouring down. Her phone wouldn’t last long enough to get a Lyft and she facepalmed as she remembered exactly where she left her portable charger. She thought about her options and sighed as she realized the club was somewhat walking distance from her ex-lover’s home. With a deep breath and a nervous feeling in the pit of her stomach, she took off her heels and began the sobering trek to Antoni’s. 

She raised her hand a few times to knock before lowering her hand. She considered walking away before she heard thunder and knocked. She pressed her lips together, sure she looked a mess by the time he opened the door. “I know things didn’t end well between us, but there was nowhere else to go. I’d like to come in, even if it’s just long enough to charge my phone. Please?” She asked sweetly, hoping he didn’t say no.

It was a new state and a new city Rosalie found herself exploring. Her first day was spent getting settled in her hotel and familiarizing herself with stores close to her. The next two she was visiting tourist sites. Tonight, however, she was looking for a taste of the nightlife. She went to dinner before going to the club for a night of fun. Sipping her virgin mojito she couldn’t help noticing a cute girl to her right. She didn’t seem like she was with anyone so she turned to her. “What’s a babe like you doing here alone?”

Rosalie was having a midlife crisis, or she would be if she were born in a different century. She was going baby crazy after overhearing women talking about time running out for having kids and how the clock starts ticking when you turn twenty, despite what actual doctors say. She tried and failed to get pregnant because of stress and decided to enlist a close friend to help her.

The process of blind dating began. She ran guys off faster than Ashley could get them to agree to a date with the brunette. She just asked so many questions and the first was normally “what do you think about having kids now?” Finally Rosalie’s friend decided to try her brother. Tonight was their first (and probably only) date so Ash warned her to be a little more gentle. She gave herself a pep talk as she waited at the restaurant table before she spotted him. “Hi, how are you tonight?” She smiled at him.

What's the plan for summer? It's coming up soon. That can be for all muses btw

“Definitely some travel. Like one short trip somewhere so I can save up more money to travel with but also so I can move out of my parent’s place. Um, more time with Juniper and dancing.”

“For me, definitely trying new things and hustling to stack up money.”

“No plans. I go with the flow because I hate when plans get canceled. So yeah, no plans. Just maybe trying spontaneity.”

“Ooh, pop up concerts for sure since we released an album recently. And being with the people I like. I’ll probably work on a couple singles as well in between.”

“More art, that’s what. Maybe a fling or two but nothing serious, as usual. Who knows? Kieran might get what he wants this time around.”

“I hadn’t thought it over yet, but I definitely wanna take a trip to see my family. I may do some volunteer stuff even. No plan just yet but I’ll let you know.”

“Food experimentation. And a lot of time with a specific boy.”

“Building more muscle mass so Aksel doesn’t catch up. But also getting back in that ocean and soaking up the sun. Luckily clients straggle during the summer.”

“I’m not at liberty to discuss that topic. I didn’t receive a ‘worst’ gift. No one can go wrong with gift cards, quality time, or food.”

Best and worst birthday experiences AND gifts so far, Rosa?

“Best experience was in college two years ago. One class was canceled and it was my birthday. Someone brought me a cookie cake that I grew close with and we ended up having an impromptu birthday party during the regular class time. And best present was my parents paying for me to see Rome in the summer of my 21st. It was my gift, just a few months later when I was out of school.

Worst experience was in sophomore year. I’d planned an intimate get together, ya know? Family, close friends, and it was a barbecue turned sleepover. Well, an uncle showed up trashed and ruined things. Stumbling, not leaving, but we didn’t want the police involved. Everything was fine until he messed with the grill...and the worst gift was a cousin of mine giving me a doll styling head...to show her how to do hair. So I didn’t get to keep that gift.”

Rosalie, what were you ecstatic to do for your birthday?

“Out of the entire day? Rae taking me out. Supposedly there’s a really nice strip club around. Girl’s got plans tonight and I’m excited. Got an outfit specifically for it and everything.”

Out of all muses which is the most successful?

“Uhh, well after much discussion and concluding on the definition of success, everyone agrees that it’s me. I’m out doing what I love; traveling and creating adventures all while journaling and capturing the memories in my phone and disposable cameras. And I have a lot of support while doing so from those that mean the most to me. And I always have somewhere to come back to.

Although I feel Kyle is actually the more successful one. I mean, he’s making music, which is his biggest passion, and his fans are so supportive and loving and he makes them happy, and he loves his partners so much. I mean, he’s living a wonderful dream, but I also know there’s a lot that also goes on behind the scenes.”

Rosalie, what enables you to travel?

“My parents. They help me save a ton of money to fund my trips. I’ve always valued traveling and aimed to do it since I was little. I’d do research on what places were similar to places described in the books I read and made it a mission to go there. Once I graduated high school, my parents agreed to help me travel as long as I got my associates degree in something first. I chose physical therapy assistant. After that, my parents helped me find a job in my field and I got to stay at home to save money. I pay half the bills and pay for my own food and personal items, and they pay for half of my tickets to get where I want to go.”

I won’t take pictures after I finish your look, but we really need to go find your shade because it doesn’t match mine,” Rosalie smiled. “I’m really excited you’re actually letting me do your makeup. Most people don’t. And I’ll even treat you to Starbucks before we begin. Scouts honor,” she promised.

Rosalie was in a new city and not having the best luck. Her second night she was robbed and immediately reported the incident. This was night number eight and there was no luck, but she knew a thing or two about surviving. Of course it was cold and she only had three layers of clothes. With the temperature dropping, she started a trash fire, adding a couple extra newspaper sheets from this morning to keep it going for a while. When she was tossing the match in, she was startled by a voice. “Geez, didn’t anyone tell you not to sneak up on a girl playing with fire?”
