Evelyn was exploring the nations, a big ol' dorky smile on her face. She was still in training from her father with her polearm, but that didn't mean she couldn't explore and have fun!! She wanted to try every style of cooking, and to learn from it! Evelyn always had a habit of learning how to cook and bake. Whether it was to her content or her father's encouragement to continue something she enjoyed, nothing could stop her. "I wonder.." She hummed to herself, grabbing one of the rocks from the walls of the chasm so she could properly climb up.
Her father usually didn't let her climb up steep mountains without his help, but she was glad he knew she could do it this time! "Liyue harbor is past the Chasm.. I think?" Once Evelyn got up onto flat ground, she pulled out a map she had of the whole teyvat, one she possibly drew or was given by her Father. "Yeah!" She tapped her ring finger onto where she assumed she was, then tapping Liyue harbor on the map. With a grin, she rushed to the other side of the wall's roof she climbed, making sure she didn't slip and fall. "Woo! Time to go gliding!" Evelyn laughed, getting a head-start before rushing off of the edge, her glider being summoned so she could glide safely towards Liyue harbor.
Her feet gently pressed against the grass once she glided perfectly near the bustling Liyue harbor. "Woah.. It's so pretty-- Ah! So sorry, Miss!" Evelyn apologized quickly when she bumped into someone.

Reunion: The End of the Night [Part 7]
Read the first series (Adopt a Wanderer) here! An AU where Scaramouche/Wanderer gets isekaied to your world - a found-family series.
Summary: The last chapter of the sequel is here! Featuring the Lantern Rite, you and Kuni are now traveling around Liyue.
Wordcount: 2758
Part 1
Part 6 <-
Tumblr media
Initially, you weren’t sure if Kuni would agree to stay at Wangshu Inn until the both of you stepped out on its highest balcony, and the bustle of people below immediately dissolved into a jaw-dropping view.
No wonder Xiao frequents this place. You can’t imagine any other sight that would soothe the mind such as this. It almost made you a little jealous of those that lived in Teyvat, for being witness to sceneries so beautiful as part of their everyday lives.
Needless to say, you’ve since acquired neighboring single rooms at Wangshu Inn and started to traverse Liyue at your leisure. It was only a week or two before the Lantern Rite, so there were many commissions available to help local businesses prepare for the event.
Kuni was not as enthusiastic about working as a delivery-person, but at your reminder it’s a two-in-one of exploring and earning mora, he relented.
You’re actually kind of impressed at how fast he’s able to fly around. Meanwhile, you were simply trying to act natural when meeting people like Xiangling and Hu Tao at the harbor. You knew they lived here, but you really underestimated how fast your heart would beat when faced with characters you’ve only seen on screens!
Kuni likes to make fun of you for that, saying you’ll spontaneously combust at this rate since there were many more recognisable figures that you’d run into - and while it was true, you can’t help but feel a little excited every time. You definitely almost tripped and fell off the stairs when you realized Xiao was on the rooftop one night. But you digress.
Right now however, such things were at the back of your mind as you and Kuni were in the Minlin area - more specifically, to explore Jueyun Karst and the Hanguang Stone Forest, after Verr Goldet asked if you’d be willing to drop off supplies to crafters that frequent there for inspiration.
“Making crafts and weaponry in honor of the adepti is quite common during this season, especially in terms of commissions from high-profile customers. Normally we send our messengers there, but since I noticed one of you has a vision and is quite adept with flying around…”
You’d be getting paid a high sum for this after all. And, well… You did want to get Kuni some qingxin flowers to replace the ones you gave him in Sumeru, seeing as you did say as much with so much confidence before. He says you’re ridiculous for going to such dangerous places when you could just buy some from a shop, but you also wanted to share the tranquil view with him (despite how Kuni said otherwise, you find that his cat-like characteristics extend to lounging on tall vantage points. Perhaps he liked being able to see everything that was going on in this way).
“We should’ve turned this into a picnic.” You muse, tucking your feet carefully under your legs as you look around. Kuni managed to fly you up to one of the more spacious peaks in Hanguang Stone Forest. The weather is nice, and you’re taking a break from deliveries. “I can see myself having quite a nice nap out here.”
“The more you talk, the more I wonder if you’d survive alone.” Kuni’s words hold no malice, but you’re a little surprised that he’s chatting now, seeing as he’d opted to let you do the talking with the craftsmen earlier. “What if you roll over too much and plummet down?”
“Well… you wouldn’t let me die in such a lame way, right?”
“...”
“...Right? Hey—”
“You two up there! Might you be adventurers?” A stranger’s voice echoes from the bridge below, effectively stealing away both of your attention.
“Um, yeah!” You yell back. “Is there something we can help you with?”
“There’s a swordsmith stuck on Mount Hulao! He’s gotten trapped in the amber.” The person holds her head in exasperation. You feel a little bad for the lady; it seems like this isn’t the first time trouble has found this mysterious swordsmith. “If the two of you are able to rescue him, I’ll pay you for your services. Mora is no problem.”
When Kuni meets your gaze, he can only heave out a sigh. “Fine, fine. Let’s get this loser.”
“We’ll do it!” You give the lady a thumbs up. Without a moment to waste, she gives you instructions on the swordsmith’s location once you descend the stone spire.
She marks another spot on your map. “And this is where our lodges are located. Once that idiot is rescued, please return him here. I told him not to rush to the mountains so early in the morning, but he kept insisting he could collect the amber from Mount Hulao as a finishing touch to his creation…”
“No problem, we’ll be back as soon as we can.” You assure her. “Um… may I ask if you’re his co-worker, or…?”
“Oh, I’m a painter.” She raises a hand to her heart, giving you a proper introduction. “My name is Lian. Both me and Yichen were commissioned to create works for this year’s Lantern Rite, as part of a larger collection to be on display at Liyue Harbour.”
“So this sword he’s putting finishing touches to is for that?”
“...Not exactly.” Lian purses her lips. “You can ask him more about it later on, if you wish.”
You manage to find Yichen quite easily, seeing as he’s only made it halfway up the mountain before getting caught by the clever defenses of Mount Hulao. With a bit of brute force, Kuni manages to break the poor guy out of his amber cocoon.
Thankfully Yichen gives up on the idea of continuing his search for amber - after an hour or so of being stuck inside it, he says it’s lost the original charm he envisioned - and you make it back to their lodges in one piece.
“Why use amber from that place anyways?” Kuni raises a brow. “You could simply buy any jewels you need as part of your budget.”
“It’s not about that,” Yichen explains, “One night, while we were out here to gain inspiration from our surroundings, I fell asleep while sketching decorative designs for the blade. I had a dream of the most beautiful sword, crafted from a gemstone of wonderful, rich origins… but it’s too last minute to order some from the city, where everyone else has already booked out materials.”
“And it doesn’t feel the same to get mass-produced gems.” Lian adds, reading his expression with ease. “You’ve been wanting to leave a sword here as an offering to the adepti, right?”
“Was it that obvious?”
“Well, you made an extra blade. And talk in your sleep.” She shrugs. After handing you the payment for rescuing Yichen, Lian gives him a pat on the shoulder. “Maybe next time you’ll be able to finish it and deliver it to the mountains. There’s no need to rush.”
“By wonderful, rich stones… would noctilucous jade from the Chasm work?” You speak up.
“The Chasm?” Yichen’s gaze lights up. “Have you been there?”
“We passed through it.” Fishing out some samples you took with you from your backpack, you show them to Yichen. “I don’t know if these are enough - we sold the rest on the way to the harbor.”
The only reason you still had them on-hand was as emergency funds. Who would’ve thought they might be able to contribute to this man’s wish?
Almost in a daze, Yichen’s expression melts into a smile. “Yes… These would work splendidly! What is your price? I can pay a bit over market rates, since these are of a better quality, and—”
“You can do all that after you finish crafting your blade.” Kuni interrupts him. At your surprised look, Kuni tilts his head. “What? It’s already midday. If he wants to deliver that thing soon, he might as well get started.”
“I’ll be sure to return this favor! Please give me a few hours - it shouldn’t take too long for me to shape the jade!”
-
You never would’ve expected yourself to be dazzled by weapons of all things, but the finished product truly was a sight to behold.
As a sword fashioned for ceremonial purposes rather than an adventurer’s use, its hilt is engraved with small stones of noctilucous jade. The entire edge of the blade is plated with the gemstone as if coated in sky-blue paint, sharpened with masterful precision. You’re not sure how he’s managed such a thing, but it leaves the sword twinkling in a deadly manner. It’d look absolutely stunning under the sunlight.
“And now to test it.” Yichen looks down at the sword in his hands, before bowing his head and offering it to Kuni. “If you would… I’d like you to do the honors.”
“Me?” Kuni looks like he’s about to decline, but hesitates. “Why?”
Yichen straightens, giving Kuni a smile. “Well, aside from the impressive display you put up while rescuing me, the way you observed my workspace when we first arrived gave me the impression you were a little familiar with sword making.” He pauses. “But, you can also call it intuition. Between the four of us, I simply believe you’d wield this sword the best.”
“Hmph. Human reasoning really is nonsensical.”
Something in the air changes as Kuni picks up the sheathed blade, adjusting to its weight and equipping the scabbard so that the sword would rest by his hips. His gaze lowers as if recalling a ritual from long ago, making his way to an open area surrounded by amber trees.
There is no music, but you, Lian, and Yichen all fall silent. The wind picks up, twirling through the air while carrying gold and orange leaves.
Kuni takes a step forward, his hands shifting with graceful movements. He does not have a fan as one normally would with a sword dance, but in place he conjures anemo to take its form. Teal and ochre swirl around the timeless wanderer, and in the middle of it all is sapphire that unmistakably draws the eye.
It is blue in the richness of the sky and sea, harnessed into a blade that flirts with the light as Kuni flourishes it, guiding it through the air.
He cuts through the falling leaves, slicing them clean in half. It’s like time has stopped to witness his actions, preserving the fall of orange just a second more.
Suffice to say, Yichen absolutely begs Kuni to follow him up to the mountains to place the offering. (“It wouldn’t be right otherwise!”) The entire group treks up Mount Aocang, which you identified as the safest option for visit.
Lian gives you a painting of Kuni’s sword dance before you leave, along with another drawing of the both of you walking together at the front with a flabbergasted Yichen. Kuni doesn’t say much about this outwardly, but you notice the way he keeps an eye on where you keep it - safely tucked within your backpack.
“After the death of Rex Lapis, the adepti showed up at Liyue Harbour during a time of great need.
“They’ve since retreated to their abodes, but I just wanted to leave something as a sign of gratitude. Liyue Harbour is my home, after all. I’ll always thank those that help protect it - and to the two of you, for helping me accomplish this much.
“If you two ever need help while in the city, feel free to look for us. We’ll do what we can!”
On the day of the Lantern Rite celebration, where the giant mingxiao lantern would come to life and soar above the harbor at night - you find yourself wandering through the city to take full advantage of its offerings.
With delicious food, riddles, and shadow puppet shows to watch, there’s never a dull moment. At some point Kuni got roped into helping children mend their dolls, but he much prefers to get some relative quiet from the crowds; you end up in a shop that makes their own mingxiao lanterns, and allows you to customize yours before sending it off to the sky.
Instead of writing your wishes on the paper slip as instructed by Master Lou however, you place an additional slip on the table between you and Kuni, silently willing him to take it and read its contents.
Like school-children passing notes, Kuni raises a brow at the way you’re pretending you’ve been on-task the entire time. You stand up and chase after one of the staff members to ask a question, leaving him alone at the desk.
He would’ve expected your handwriting to struggle fitting onto a paper so small, but the words stand out in tiny, tentative letters.
‘Did you ever regret meeting me?’
Kuni silently pockets the note and finishes off his wish, tying it to his mingxiao lantern and exiting the shop. The lantern looks like it could be the stage of a shadow puppet show. Or perhaps, more optimistically, a page where the wishes written on paper could be brought to life. With how unpredictable the shape of a flickering fire can be, Kuni doesn’t doubt that a drunk man could witness a dream simply by watching the lanterns up close.
He joins you at the docks, where children and adults alike crowd around the harbor and balconies, awaiting the start of the fireworks show. Once the musicians begin playing, the lanterns in your hands start to glow, raising themselves into the air.
They gather against the night sky like a sea of fireflies, and as much as Kuni wants to say it’s simply an ocean of floating trash… the sight is something that brings him to pause.
“I’m not particularly mad or bitter about the past.” Kuni says quietly. It might’ve gone unheard beneath the music of the streets if he wasn’t standing next to you. “Even if you’re a bit of a liability, traveling around with you and making sure you don’t run into trouble aren’t such bad memories to have.”
The music swells, and something in your chest twinges with it. The melody goes tentative, tentative, before marching into a crescendo you recognise by heart.
“In that case, I have to thank you.” You reply, eyes on the lanterns that’re so far away now. “I never would’ve thought that offering shelter to a lost person would bring me to this day. But I don’t regret any of it.”
A whistle shoots through the air, drawing your line of sight up, and higher, to where the first firework blooms. It’s followed by a chorus of more multicolored lights, delivered from Naganohara Fireworks across the ocean. Perhaps one day, you and Kuni could visit Inazuma, or Mondstadt, or wherever else the wind blows. For now though, this sight is more than enough to captivate you.
The fireworks are fleeting, yet as you drink in the display of explosive lights, the moment seems to hang just a second longer for you to savor it.
Eternal, yet not. A long time ago, in a different place, Kuni had witnessed fireworks from your apartment window for the first time. Against the tempered glass, both of your reflections could be seen in tandem with the fireworks far away.
You’d asked him if he wanted to go outside for a better view, but Kuni had said this much was enough. Perhaps there was something about its beauty that deserved being admired from a distance - or, he might’ve seen similar sights from a beach in Inazuma, far from where the main city stood proud.
“...You know what? If we ever get separated, or if you’re the one who loses their memory - I’d fight to hell and back to make you remember again.”
“You say that as if I would forget.” Kuni replies, stating the loud implication as if it were fact. Maybe with his will, it might as well be.
“I’ll take that as a promise.” You lean against the balcony of the harbor, fireworks still going off around you. No one would know any better about an outlander being in their midst. “I’d have to annoy you day and night otherwise.”
Humans are horrible at keeping promises. “You’re lucky I know you.”
“And I’m glad that you do.” You smile, and it’s like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Whatever happens now will be up to the both of you; destination, purpose, or dream.
The last firework explodes before the moon, larger than life and resounding against the darkness.
Happy Lantern Rite.
(End.)

Ending notes: thank you so much for reading this far! It’s certainly been a journey while writing ‘Adopt a Wanderer’, and I hope ‘Reunion’ was a fun sequel to read!
My initial concept for the series was just this feel-good, comfy fic with Wanderer (who at the time was still called Scaramouche quite often, time flies…) Now that it’s officially ended, I’m allowing requests to be made with this series as its context! So if you want a more romantic spin on it, or certain moments/alternate timelines, feel free to drop it in my inbox and I’ll write them when I have time!
Following that, I’m also working on a fanbook version of ‘Adopt a Wanderer’! It’ll essentially be a compilation of the og series and this sequel, but more properly edited and featuring bonus content (plus some spot arts and a cover!)
If you’re interested in getting the PDF copy of the book, just check my pinned post for more info!
That should be all from me for now, and uh… to those that follow me for other characters, I swear I’ll get back to my normal posts soon. You can also drop requests for them if you’d like, according to my pinned post rules and etc. Hope you’ll all have a good day/night!

Another Genshin Idea by The Ghost Rebel (Again)!
Chef!Reader cooking all the foods the game has to offer- and let us not forget each character's specialty dish and favorite dishes! I can also see Chef!Reader making drinks as well, as (for example) Diluc's voice line about his favorite food has him talking about his favorite drink being the grape juice (the non-alcohol version). I can still imagine Reader making their dishes (and drinks) as close to the traditional version in their world, while also adding a few twists to make it fit a little more to Genshin Impact!
Now, here are my thoughts on what may happen once the Reader gets thrown into Teyvat:
It's obvious that the Reader would make a few musings to themselves about making the food. I can imagine the Reader even bringing their own cooked food to their PC (or whatever tech they use to play Genshin) to eat and play at the same time. Everyone in Teyvat basically knows that their Creator is a chef.
It's also very obvious to the characters that they also cook/bake/make food- Reader probably spends most of their time to analyze the food-related voice lines and look through the internet to see all the possible grub they can make, muttering to themselves while their Genshin Impact App is still active. The character's can literally hear everything they're saying-
The moment they get thrown in, however, I can imagine that the Imposter would make up a lie to use their "fake" to make soup or something, which causes the hunt to take shape.
How exactly will the Reader survive this event? Well...here's the thing: I don't think they can. However! As I have mentioned before, the Imposter wanted the Reader alive to use them for their "grand soup" or whatever, right? So basically...
...
Yes, Reader demands a Cooking Contest. What is with the Ghost Rebel and contests these days, I don't know either but hey! At least Reader doesn't get publicly executed! :D
Not only that, but with the Reader demanding that they have a Cook-Off competition (like Xiangling and Brook WAY BACK during the beginning of the game), they not only save their own lives, but they unintentionally put the imposter in a corner. If they don't agree, it'll make them look weak and it would definitely cause some suspicion to occur to why the "creator" backed down from their great expertise. But if they do agree, their cooking won't exactly have the twists and uniqueness that the Reader puts into their dishes, and the characters can tell! Reader legit unintentionally saves their own life by eating in front of their device with a full plate of food beside them!
I can imagine they will nominate the Archons to judge the foods. Now, as we know, Fontaine, Snezneyha (is that how you spell it?), and Natlan aren't open to us to this current day, so we don't exactly know what foods they like or not. Because of this knowledge, I feel like the other three Archons would take it upon themselves to make sure that no one else disrupts the competition in any sort of way (sabotage, scheming, etc.), even if it might be a little unnecessary. Nahida, Venti, Ei, and Zhongli are the ones judging the contest completely.
And, rather naturally, the Reader wins the contest and the Imposter gets...well, whatever punishment the Reader wants to give them. And then it's just non-stop exploring through the varieties of dishes and foods the Reader can find after they heal and cope from the past events.
Who knew making grub for yourself could actually save you during an imposter-sagau situation.

You're Magic Now - Chapter 5 Preview
A Blind Date
A cauldron sat in the middle of the shared common room of the girls’ apartment as Lumine, Keqing and Ayaka worked hard on crafting its contents. The fumes coming from the potion were thick and while they smelled fairly good, they made the room hazy. Keqing cracked open a window, summoning a breeze to help air out the room. If this potion didn’t work, Lumine was going to lose it.
“Lumine,” said Ayaka while the blonde stirred the cauldron’s contents. “Where did you find this recipe anyway?”
“It’s a recipe that Kazuha gave me,” Lumine told her. “He said that he used it after he unlocked his base form.” She had been having trouble with a couple of spells during class that resulted in a lot of minor explosions. Kazuha, needless to say, was only one of many to take note of it. “It’s supposed to help me find the source of my magic so that I can control it better.”
“And potatoes are a part of that?” mused Keqing with a brow raised. …Now that she said it out loud, Lumine wasn’t so sure. There was a moment of silence before Ayaka picked up a measuring spoon to use to taste the cauldron’s contents. She stared at the mixture after putting the spoon in her mouth.
“Lumine,” Ayaka began, “this tastes a lot like something Thoma used to make for me when I was upset.”
Lumine quirked a brow. “Thoma?”
“My brother’s former retainer.”
“Former? What happened to him?”
“Nothing bad! I promise! He’s just… my brother’s fiancé now.” Oh. Oh. …Good for him.” Ayaka quickly shook her head, her face still a bit pink. “A-Anyway, none of these ingredients are magical, they’re just regular food items that Keqing asked Xiangling to get for her.”
Keqing shrugged. “Xiangling knew what we could use because it was in surplus or going bad soon anyway.” Lumine loved that girl. She was the daughter of the school’s chef and a fairy as well, even though she wouldn’t start at Alfea for two more years.
…wait a minute.
“So, we’re making soup?” Lumine asked. It was just soup, not some kind of potion?
“Kazuha tricked you into making soup so you’d feel better,” said Ayaka. Well… this was definitely a first. It had likely been because so much had been changing for her lately, and Kazuha must’ve caught wind of it. Not to mention that earning her wings brought forth a whole new surge of magic that she was still trying to get a solid grip on.
Unlike most of the others in their class, Lumine was still struggling to find the source of her magic. Everyone seemed to get it within the first few days of school or even before they started Alfea. For example, Keqing’s came from the weather and Ayaka’s was from snow. Barbara’s stemmed from song, Kazuha’s from sound and Bennett’s from fortune. Any test that Lumine took under their class advisor’s supervision came out inconclusive. The hell did that even mean…?
…maybe Lumine did need the soup. She was brought out of her thoughts when the door to their apartment opened. Barbara came in, staring at a note in her hand and seemingly not focused on much else aside from it.
“Hey, Barbara!” called Lumine. “Kazuha tricked me into making feel good soup. Want some?”

"To be honest, I want Kaguya to stick around. She has some very unique cooking." Note, that Xiangling will try any kind of food, even if it looks gross. She enjoyed the tarantulas.

Sore Loser
a/n: genshin’s new card game inspired me to write this, but i tried to make it so that you don’t need to know the game too well to understand it. hopefully it’s not too confusing!
word count: ~2.2k
summary: diluc and aether have a very fair match of genius invokation, with kaeya as a spectator
---
"So, I understand I'm here for a rematch," Diluc said, eying the determined look on Aether's face, before shifting his gaze to the other side of the table, "but what is he doing here?" He remained unmoved as Kaeya gave him an enthusiastic wave from the table, clearly buzzed from the cocktail in his hand.
"Awww, am I not good enough for Master Diluc's presence?" Kaeya rested his elbow against the tabletop, leaning his hand into his palm as he spoke. There was a degree of playfulness behind that slurred voice. Diluc knew he could be up to no good.
"He's here for moral support," Aether spoke up, quickly cutting off whatever else Kaeya had to say. "I mentioned to him that I lost our first card game and that we were going to have a rematch and he was interested in spectating."
"Plus, the drinks here at The Cat's Tail are simply the best in town," Kaeya said with a smirk, swirling the beverage around with his free hand.
Diluc ignored that little dig and looked between the two. Under most circumstances, he wouldn't bother with anything involving Kaeya, but Aether was trustworthy and Diluc found it easy to relax around the blond. With a sigh, Diluc shut the door behind him and removed his gloves, placing them into his pocket, before taking a seat on the opposite end of the table next to Kaeya. "Alright, we can start our rematch," he said to Aether, turning to Kaeya afterwards, "but no funny tricks."
Kaeya breathed amusedly. "What? I'm here for moral support."
"Then why don't you sit next to the traveler?"
"Oh, silly," Kaeya chuckled, giving Diluc a hard slap on the back, "I'm here to support you, of course." Diluc scoffed with an eye roll, knowing full well that those words lacked a modicum of honesty.
Turning back to his opponent, Diluc began preparing his deck, laying out his deck to his left, the set of his dice to his right, and his character cards at the center, consisting of Xiangling, Razor, and himself, of course. He took a look at Aether's side to see the blond set up in a similar fashion, with Ayaka, Mona, and coincidentally, Kaeya, character cards front and center.
"Shall we begin?"
Aether nodded in response and took out a coin, tossing it through the air to determine the starting player. "Alright, looks like you're first," the blond spoke and Diluc nodded, pushing his own card to the forefront, watching as Aether did the same with his Mona card.
The two drew their cards and collected their rolled dice and Diluc contemplated his first move. His first roll yielded him a nice set of dice, consisting of three pyro and two omni, but his current hand was lackluster. Hoping to remedy the slow start, he drew two additional cards using his "Strategize" card, and was happily blessed with his "Wolf's Gravestone" card. He could equip the weapon to his own character card and deal decent damage to Mona before she could-
"Huh?" Diluc blinked twice as he looked over his set of dice, his mouth slightly agape in confusion. What he could've sworn were three pyro and two omni dice in his dice tray were now two pyro and one omni dice, alongside one cryo and one electro.
"Oh, what's wrong?" Kaeya mused from his right, clearly reveling in his newfound confusion.
"Quiet," Diluc nearly snapped. Were his eyes playing tricks on him?! There were clearly three pyro and two omni earlier, he swore. "Well, no matter," he sighed, using his two pyro and one omni to trigger his skill. He could always just equip the weapon later.
The two finished their turns before moving onto the next round, leaving Diluc at a slight disadvantage, but it was still early in the match and a comeback would be easy enough. Diluc watched as Aether completed his turn, setting up his Ayaka to potentially freeze and sweep his whole team. Although threatening, Diluc could simply swap to Razor and force Ayaka out with an overload reaction, forcing Aether to lose momentum and waste dice. Placing the proper cards down, Diluc quick-swapped his Razor card to the forefront, ready to trigger Razor's elemental skill, only for his eyes to widen in shock when he took a look at his dice.
"Is something wrong?" Diluc snapped out of his shock at the sound of Aether's voice and shook his head.
"I-I don't understand," he mumbled, eyes fixated on the dice in front of him. "There were three electro dice, but.."
Kaeya poked his head from behind Diluc's shoulder to look at the dice. "Hmmm, what are you talking about? There's only one electro die," Kaeya confirmed almost mockingly, before turning to Aether. "Don't mind him. Old age must be getting to the poor thing."
"Kaeya," he hissed for the other to hush as his brain tried to process the past five minutes. What was going on?
"I'm not sure why you're blaming me for a mistake on your part," Kaeya said as he sat back down, leaning back in his chair. "You should probably hurry up, though. Time's running out."
Diluc huffed as he hurriedly contemplated his next turn, trying to keep his cool. He sacrificed two cards in his hands to convert two dice into electro ones, using them to now force Ayaka out for the time being. The two cards would have come in handy later down the line, but it was a necessary step in preventing Ayaka from dismantling his team.
The next round started and at this point, half of his cards were weakened, while Aether's team hardly suffered a scratch. After rolling the third round of dice, Diluc made sure to keep watch from the corner of his eye, even repeating the number of his dice over and over.
Two omni, three pyro, two electro, one hydro.
Aether swapped to Ayaka, ending his turn.
Two omni, three pyro, two electro, one hydro.
Diluc swapped to Xiangling using his hydro die and ending his turn.
Two omni, three pyro, two electro.
Aether used up a cryo resonance card to buff his Ayaka and knock out Xiangling. Diluc swapped to Razor.
Two omni, three pyro, two-
Just barely out of sight, Diluc caught a glimpse of a familiar hand slowly creeping towards his set of dice and he quickly whipped around to grab the hand by the wrist with his own. "I knew it," he growled, feeling Kaeya trying to yank his arm back. "You were changing my dice when I wasn't looking!"
"I-I was just stretching!"
"As if I have any reason to believe that!"
"You're just being a sore loser because the traveler is winning," Kaeya scoffed playfully and Diluc felt his blood boil that very moment.
"I am not," Diluc gritted his teeth. "You changed my dice!"
"Sore loser!"
"Guys, c'mon, stop!" Aether had stood up during the commotion, but neither would give.
"Fess. Up."
Kaeya tilted his head with a smirk, looking Diluc straight in the eye. "And what if I don't?"
All manners of civility had completely dissolved between the two by now. That little smirk was enough to trigger the older brother in Diluc and he yanked the arm still in his grasp, catching Kaeya off-guard and pulling the cavalry captain closer to him. Now that he was within perfect reach, Diluc was able to enact the only way to get Kaeya to do his bidding, a tried and true method from their childhood.
"Diluc, dON'T! Pffft- ahahahaha!" It was Diluc's turn to smirk now, watching as Kaeya did his best to hold in his laughter, but Diluc was well familiar with breaking him down, darting his free hand from Kaeya's side up to his underarm to keep him from getting too comfortable.
"Now, were you or were you not changing my dice?" Diluc asked as he released Kaeya's arm just to free up his second hand to aid in his tickle attack, now holding Kaeya tight with both hands with his fingers pressing into the younger's sides. He knew it was petty to resort to such measures over a card game, but someone had to put Kaeya in his place every now and then.
Kaeya writhed his grasp, but Diluc held strong, tickling his stomach and sides to significantly weaken the other. He watched as Kaeya twisted and turned, even using his hands to push away at Diluc, laughter spilling out continuously. "Nohohoho! Let gohoho! Ahahaha sore lohohohosEHEHER!"
Hearing that last remark set something off in the redhead, his fingers now really digging in to make Kaeya shriek and kick his legs. He was so determined to get Kaeya into admitting his wrongdoings that Diluc hardly noticed the slight tug as his coat from behind.
"Hey, Master Diluc, it's okay," Aether's voice was barely audible over Kaeya's laughter. "We can just restart if you want. No need for all of this."
"AEHEHEHTHEHER! HEHEHELP!"
"Nope, he deserves all of this and more for thinking he can still mess with me," Diluc said with a straight face, listening to Kaeya's pleas. His eyes widened, though, when he suddenly felt a poke to his own side, just under his coat, followed by more repeated ones. "Hey, what the-!" He shifted his head to look at Aether, catching the blond in the act, but the distraction was a mistake on his part, allowing Kaeya to slip from his grasp. Diluc tried to grab the other back, but by now, it was too late. Kaeya used the opportunity to latch onto Diluc's own sides, tickling the older one till he crumpled to the floor in a giggling mess.
"Aether, quick! Grab his arms!" Kaeya hurriedly said to the blond standing over the two, holding onto Diluc's arms as he spoke.
"Let go." Diluc glared up at Kaeya, before looking to Aether in hopes to turn the traveler to his side.
"I think we should-"
"Consider it compensation for trying to help you win," Kaeya cut Aether off. Their short conversation didn't totally register in Diluc's brain, until he noticed Aether mouth a 'sorry' to him, watching as the blond hesitantly restrained his arms, before sitting on them.
"I knew you were up to something," Diluc growled at Kaeya, though he wasn't exactly in the position to be snapping at the other. It didn't take long for Kaeya to start up the tickling again and Diluc did his best to squirm away, despite Aether on his arms and Kaeya straddling his waist. "Kaeyahaha! I swehehehear!"
"Huh, what was that?" Kaeya asked mockingly, delivering swift pokes all over Diluc's midsection. "I can't hear over the sound of you being a sore loser."
"I'm nohoHOHOT!"
"Aether, don't be shy," Kaeya spoke, not looking up from watching Diluc writhe beneath him. "Take your pick. He's ticklish everywhere."
Diluc shook his head, pleading at the traveler with his eyes, but this did nothing to deter him as Aether brought his fingers down to his neck. The sensations coming from the unexpected tickle spot prompted Diluc's eyes to widen and squealed in response. "Guhuhuhuys! Stahahahap!"
His body lurched as Kaeya's brand of tickling sped up, leaving no tickle spot unattended. Pokes to his sides, fingers dancing across Diluc's stomach, and the kneading at his waist was enough to drive the redhead insane. It didn't help that Aether's hands were doing their own experimenting, switching between Diluc's ears and neck to produce the most embarrassing hiccups, gaining much encouragement from Kaeya to continue. What really broke Diluc, though, was when Aether finally brought his hands to the exposed underarms and his legs violently kicked out in response, smacking the underside of the table and knocking the chairs close to them.
"AHAHAHAHAHA! PLEHEHEHEHAHAHASE!”
The sound of the door to the room suddenly flying open prompted Diluc's ticklers to stop, though Diluc didn't even bother turning his head to see what was happening, staring up at the ceiling to catch his breath. "What are you morons doing?!" came a very irritated voice from the doorway, prompting Diluc to finally roll his head to see Diona by the door, her hands on her hips as she took in the sight of cards, chairs, and the table strewn across the floor.
"Well, ah, we were playing cards," Aether stammered softly.
"Get. Out." Diona huffed, tapping her foot impatiently.
"Well, we'll-"
"Out!"
---
"Sorry, Master Diluc."
Diluc crossed his arms and huffed irritatedly, glancing between the two just like he had done earlier. Aether seemed genuinely apologetic for his actions, unlike Kaeya who adorned a smile as he twirled his hair happily.
"Well, I certainly had fun," Kaeya chuckled before turning to Aether. "If you ever need help again, you know where to find me." Before Diluc could get a final word in, Kaeya quickly sauntered off, leaving the two alone atop the steps of The Cat's Tail.
"Um, I guess no more rematches?" Aether spoke again, looking at Diluc shyly.
Diluc clicked his tongue and sighed. "We can still have our rematch, though I suppose it will have to be at the Angel's Share, seeing as how Diona has us banned from The Cat's Tail."
"Oh, that works!" Aether's eyes brightened at the sound of another rematch.
"On one condition, though."
"Hm?"
Diluc looked the blond straight in the face as he spoke.
"No Kaeya."

full list of genshin characters and their possible godly parent (from percy jackson and its other related works)
no archons here mainly because they're gods in their own right and sadly no adepti/immortal beings (so no xiao, xianyun, or yae miko) no natlan characters either (made right before 5.0) since i know next to nothing about them. the list also includes alternate possible parents (because what i wrote down adhered to the canon of percy jackson eg. very little to no big 3 kids) so if a character also suits another god i'll take that into account. the entire list is also in full alphabetic order!
(this also specifies if the parent is a roman or a greek god)
Ajax (Childe)- Poseidon
Albedo- Athena or Hekate
Alhaitham- Hermes or Athena
Amber- Apollo
Arataki Itto- Hephaestus
Arlecchino- Aphrodite
Baizhu- Apollo (roman)

Bennett- Tyche
Candace- Bellona
Charlotte- Iris or Aphrodite
Chevreuse-Mars/Ares
Chiori-Aphrodite
Chongyun-Apollo (Greek)
Clorinde- Nike
Collei- Hades

Dehya- Mars/Ares
Diluc- Athena
Diona- Apollo
Dori- Mercury
Emilie- Hekate/Aphrodite

Kirara- Mercury or Iris
Klee- Tyche or Hekate
Kujou Sara- Zeus or Athena
Kuki Shinobu- Nemesis or Hermes
Layla- Hypnos or Hekate

Mona- Apollo or Hekate (could also just be an oracle)
Navia- Aphrodite or Athena
Nilou- Demeter
Ningguang- Mercury or Pluto
Noelle- Mars
Qiqi- Hypnos
Razor- Jupiter
Rosaria- Nemesis
Sangonomiya Kokomi- Bellona or Poseidon
Sayu- Hypnos
Sethos- Hermes
Shenhe- Ares or Hades
Shikanoin Heizou- Hermes
Sigewinne- Apollo
Thoma- Apollo (but associated with Hestia in some way)
Tighnari- Apollo
Wriothesley- Hades
Xiangling- Demeter (also maybe associated with Hestia)
Xingqiu- Athena
Xinyan- Apollo (or maybe one of the muses!)
Yanfei- Athena
Yao Yao- Demeter or Hebe
Yelan- Hermes
Yoimiya- Apollo or Iris
Yunjin- The muses or Apollo
if certain gods appear more frequently than other that's just because they just so happen to cover a broad variety of concepts/things (like apollo being associated with archery, healing, the sun, etc.) but that's pretty much the full list :) I might try to elaborate on each of these (especially some of them...) but probably not now :3
