Since Mic’s and Erazor’s visit, something had shifted within the Nomu known as Kurogiri. They had awoken a connection within him that was supposed to be long gone for good. It brought back the true spirit living within this broken body, who's determination to gain control back over his thrown away life and to see his beloved friends once more fuled his attempts to break through the black mist. 

Aizawa was the one getting the call with the request to come visit Kurogiri once more, as something had drastically changed. He was informed that the personality of the original Host had taken over the body and they assumed only familiar faces like Mic and Erazor could help to calm and contain him now. In the end it was less of a request but a necessary, if they wanted to get the answers they wanted out of the Nomu. 

In the cell, bound by all sorts of power suppressing tools, was kurogiri screaming, black mist rising to the ceiling and shrinking back down constantly, like dancing flames. Wilde rage and despair within his destorted voice, as if Oboro himself was crying out underneath. Only when the familiar visitor stepped in the room behind the bulletproof glassfront and the Nomu’s eyes fixated on Aizawa, the mist disappeared in thin air, revealing the face of a schooked Oboro. 

“Shota?”, a rough but unmistakable voice called out to his former childhood friend, barely recognising him at this age. He could have sworn, a second ago they had fought side by side and now he woke up again and half a lifetime had passed. It was a true nightmare that Oboro yet had to comprehend.

“Where am I? What is happening to me?”, he whimpered u usually scared and yet forcing himself to a desperado smile.

TEARS ROLLED QUICKLY          down Oboro's face. he was shaking slightly, his arms wrapping tightly around Aizawa's neck. he looked young, but he wasn't a child anymore - but he wasn't quite his friend's age, either. more like, in the middle ( just like how he stayed between life and death for so many months afterwards .... ).

"Shota, it's me," he promised, his voice begging. he wasn't a quirk or apparition - he stood there, in the flesh ( but who's flesh was it ). he felt warm to the touch, maybe a lil too warm in some cases. his blue eyes shone with happiness, but the tears caused them to almost glow.

all around them, smaller clouds began to form. Oboro was so excited that he couldn't hold back his quirk ( and who could blame him, seeing one of his best friends after many years ). "dude, I have so much to tell you."

Personality: Niles will probably say he's ruined his children. Nina seemingly hates him and Ilya acts like he cares for anything. He hides his emotions and keeps to himself, though his temper is similar to his mother/

Special Talents: He's more skilled with a spear than bow.

Who they take after more: He absolutely takes more after Oboro.

Personal Head canon: He's a caring boy, he just hides his emotions with sarcastic humor and intense anger when people cross him. He is the youngest, and he does adore his older sister.

my oboro/kurogiri muse is very strong today for some reason so i might work on some stuff for himbs when i get up from my government mandated friday afternoon nap BUT-

a few thoughts.

i'm a melanin oboro truther. he may technically be a mist shrouded corpse at this point but THAT DOESN'T.... unmelanin him. he's still of darker skin tone, but instead of living flesh it does possess the pallor of death.

kurogiri isn't exactly solid, but also he is. the body of oboro shirakumo is wrapped in his mist, but only when he really wills it is the entity beneath truly solidify. the mist will then recede somewhat. to put it plainly -

the wild mane of what was once oboro's cloud-like hair is now kurogiri's dark purple mist. the sclera of his eyes remain golden - and his hands and feet also remain somewhat shrouded - hands in particular formulating into hazy, misty claws. hands, feet, and hair are always a bit fuzzy in this form - the mist constantly moving. kurogiri can alter the degree with which he is and is not solidified - how much mist is covering him, etc. he defaults to his usual appearance of typically just being shrouded - as he is more comfortable that way.

oboro and kurogiri are, in my opinion, the same entity in mind. kurogiri recognizes himself, eventually, as the deceased oboro - and little by little the memories and feelings reconcile. however he will never act like oboro - and the difference is somewhat startling to those who KNEW him as oboro, but he is kurogiri now... with a bit of oboro seasoning. and he will always, honestly, conditioning or otherwise - regarding tomura shigaraki as something to be protected. which is probably the most oboro behavior of all imo because this is the man who adopted stray kittens at random and like he knew this boy at his most pathetic so.

there's more. in there. my head is just not working for some reason so sorry if none of this makes sense.

Uncertain thought (could be Amnesia!Dabi, or just in general) - So, like, AfO has Toya for a while, right? & he experiments, or whatever? I saw a lot of fics where something similar happens, & Toya gets fireproofing, which felt. Idk if cheap is the right word, by I liked the idea that AfO tries to "improve" him or something, so what if he slapped Dabi with a self-healing quirk? Like, Dabi's Quirk still hurts him, but he heals faster & better from the damage, scars less, sort of thing?

Because I did give Dabi an extra Quirk in CC and that stays throughout CC-adjacent stories like Amnesia!Dabi and all.

I've brought this up before on the 'why didn't he add shit to Dabi?' and the 'are you sure he didn't?' and then musing on why Kurogiri is different from all the other Nomu and went on a tangent so like

AfO knows that, practically speaking, shoving more Quirks into a person is difficult. Most people are really only designed to have their own Quirk. Maybe two. Shoving more in can be problematic.

So he often doesn't unless there's other factors. Like 'oh hey we're gearing up for a whole ass War, let me shove some more abilities into a few of the sacrificial pawns because idc if it overloads them'. The Nomu are an exception because they're frankensteined nonsense shoved all together and not really 'people' in the original sense anymore and are on the whole just cannon fodder rather than players in the game so he doesn't care if they get overloaded.

And if Dabi were anyone else, it wouldn't matter. But he's /Toya/. And that's what AfO wants. Because everything about Toya becoming Dabi would be a blow to the Heroes and everything they stand for. So he can't really just shove Toya's useful Quirk into a Nomu or risk overloading him with other Quirks.

Which brings us back to Kurogiri!

Kurogiri was part of a project regarding Quirk Awakenings. Seeing if they can force Awakenings by putting the body under simulated stresses. In Kurogiri's case, Oboro's Cloud evolved to protect him and to let him escape dangers via teleportation, creating Warp Gate. (the amnesia was just a fun side effect of the trauma and near-death, not part of the experiment).

As putting the body under that much simulated stress is dangerous, even fatal, Kurogiri was the only successful one out of the batch, and the experiment was mostly scrapped for the time being.

Now when AfO got his hands on Toya, he did think to add things to him, but didn't want to risk losing the gutpunch of /Toya/ being a villain. So he brought back the Awakening experiment, making sure to only push a little instead of a 'how far can we take this?'. Especially as Toya had already had one Awakening already (the whole red-to-blue fire).

He was hoping to do something like pull out the proper Ice/Fire combo, or even just give Toya fireproofing. But Hellflame and Heaven's Frost aren't the only Quirks in the genepool to pull from. So the next Awakening instead pulled out "Demon", which was Enji's father's Quirk, so Dabi now has horns and a tail.

(Sorry for clogging up your ask box) If Hori actually allowed for Aizawa to be more than Wish.com Kakashi, we could have gotten something like this:

- Aizawa's "logical ruses" making 1A have some level of mistrust towards him, making them go to the other teachers for different things.

- Aizawa realizing he may have judged Izuku unfairly after he saved his ass at the USJ

- Aizawa actually reflecting on Present Mic calling him a terrible teacher, musing that he may actually be right

- Have fucking SOMEONE call him out for favoring Shinsou and neglecting his students while having the nerve to bitch about All Might

- Aizawa (and All Might tbh) realizing that they made a huge mistake pairing Izuku and Bakugou in the finals when they see him blatantly refusing to work with Izuku, FAILING Bakugou when he gets knocked out (will forever be pissed that Sero failed because of that while Bakugou passed)

- Aizawa realizing that he does in fact suck as a teacher when there's 6 of his students in the remedial course while there's 1 of King Vlad's

- Have the journalists push back when he gives that BS speech about "Bakugou wants to win, so he'll be a hero and is totally not a walking, talking red flag", perhaps by bringing up his past expulsions in the vein of "what did your previous students do that was so bad while Bakugou gets to stay a student"

- Have Bakugou fucking expelled after that bullshit fight with Izuku, especially him admitting that he threw the first punch. And there was a FUCKING CAMERA that reported the fight to Aizawa. You mean to tell me he didn't watch the footage and see that Izuku wasn't engaging for most of the fight?

- Just have someone (maybe Mic) call him out on the fact that while Oboro's death was awful and it's not his fault that he's traumatized by it, it doesn't excuse him taking his grief and trauma on everyone around him

Had to pair these up to really answer the bullshit that is Aizawa.

I too cannot view this man as a caring parental figure to the class when he's barely done anything to help them.

Aside from Bakugou, what is Hori's reason for not calling this man out for being a flat-out hypocrite and unfair teacher? I seriously wanna know.

Aizawa COULD work if the narrative AND characters call him out on his bullshit!

I know @justatalkingface described Aizawa as being someone who represents the sin of pride and I think that could tie in really well if written right.

Have the characters get onto him and him trying to stand his ground, using his trauma to excuse his actions but it won't cut it anymore.

And that one scene you explained with the journalist pushing back... I now wanna see that as a fanfic.

But all in all, Aizawa is a garbage character at being an asshole with a heart of gold when there are other characters that did it better.

Is there any reason for Oboro's hatred of Asagi?

Oboro has two main reasons as to why she hates Asagi. One, she was killed by Asagi before she was revived by Edwin Black. Two, Edwin Black really wants Asagi to join his side thus Oboro grew very jealous.

Here are some bribes.

After a long deliberations, I came to the conclusion that one kind of evil cycle for Izuku wasn't enough. He will have a fun evil cycle, like what happens with Iruma, and a terrifying evil cycle, where people will stop what they are doing, call AFO and beg him to pick up his son.

Todoroki Rei is a thirteen crown and a badass in general.

Technically, Natsuo and Fuyumi are on the Himura family registry while Touya and Shouto are on the Todoroki one.

All for One is probably the most reasonable and chill AFO of all the Gentryverse.

All for One has the ability to steal bloodline abilities. Yoichi used to have the ability to steal magical power.

Make no mistake, Toshinori is incredibly strong and was the One for All holder that got the closest to kill AFO... but his survival while he was being terribly weakened by the curse kinda had something to do with Gran Torino's... influence.

No matter how many times he changed school, Izuku was bullied and/or ostracized at school. He never had a real friend before.

Katsuki is adopted. Mitsuki has the same ability as Sabnock in canon. Since Katsuki and Mitsuki are still the splitting image of each other, many people refuse to believe it.

If you see a demon who doesn't have pointy ears in this fic, it means they can shift into another, technically monstrous, form.

Inko accidentally wandered into the demon world once, almost gave a heart attack to Cathleen Bates, and became a spooky ghost story because of it.

Oboro doesn't think his boss cares about him but All for One does like him, in his own "That one is mine, exists to entertain me, and if anyone touches my toy, I will rip their wings and beat them to death with them. :)" way.

Oboro is the one who prepared Izuku's outfits and he is kinda :| that Izuku always wears casual clothes at home.

Aizawa still comes from a family possessed by the spirit of the dog or whatever but he is such a cat lover that he broke every rule of reality and got Catberus.

Machia got lost in the canyon because he was looking for some wi-fi in order to watch the last episode of his favorite show. Three of them had the time to air and he watched them the next day with AFO, Izuku and Oboro in an impromptu movie session.

The younger members of the cast don't suspect it but AFO is actually a shadow of the demon he used to be back when the demon king was alive. After his death, AFO alternated between homicidal rage and long bouts of depression where he was unable to react to anything. He got better in the last century and downright cheerful in the last fifteen years or so.
