A New Look

(This is where my Amitie design originated)

Amitie stood in front of her mirror, staring at her reflection with a mix of excitement and uncertainty. For as long as she could remember, she had embraced her signature style, but lately, a feeling of restlessness had begun to creep in. “Maybe it’s time for a change,” she mused aloud, running her fingers through her hair.

As the sun streamed through her window, illuminating the vibrant colors of her room, Amitie thought about all the times her friends had encouraged her. Ringo Ando, Arle Nadja, and the others had always celebrated her uniqueness, but now she felt an inexplicable urge to reinvent herself.

“Okay, let’s do this!” she declared, pulling out a sketchbook filled with ideas. She began doodling new outfits, experimenting with different colors and styles that reflected her evolving sense of self.

Later that day, Amitie gathered her friends for support. “I want to try something new,” she said, a hint of nervousness in her voice.

Raffina raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “What do you have in mind?”

“I’m thinking about a redesign!” Amitie replied, her heart racing. “Something that feels more… me.”

Lidelle clapped her sleeves excitedly. “Let’s make it happen!”

With a sense of camaraderie, they spent the afternoon mixing and matching ideas. Feli suggested a bolder color palette, while Klug chimed in with fabric choices that would complement her features. Sig and Ringo offered their thoughts on accessories, helping Amitie envision a new look that truly represented her spirit.

As they worked together, Amitie felt a rush of confidence. But as the day wore on, self-doubt began to creep in. “What if I don’t look good? What if everyone hates it?” she worried aloud, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Amitie,” Arle said softly, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “We love you for who you are, not just how you look. Remember that.”

“Yeah! It’s about how you feel,” Sig added, nodding. “If this new look makes you happy, then that’s what matters!”

Encouraged by their support, Amitie took a deep breath. “You’re right. I can do this!”

After hours of planning, it was time for the big reveal. Amitie changed into her newly designed outfit—brighter colors, a more stylish silhouette, and accessories that felt like an extension of her personality. She hesitated for a moment, her heart pounding, before stepping out to face her friends.

When she emerged, the room fell silent for a moment. Then, the cheers erupted.

“Amitie! You look amazing!” Ringo exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.

“Seriously, Ms. Amitie! This is so you!” Raffina added, grinning widely.

Amitie felt a rush of warmth as her friends surrounded her, showering her with compliments. The self-doubt that had plagued her earlier began to melt away, replaced by a newfound sense of belonging.

“Thank you, everyone,” Amitie said, her voice steady. “I couldn’t have done this without your support.”

As the evening continued, Amitie realized that her friends had always seen her beauty, inside and out. The redesign wasn’t just about changing her appearance; it was about embracing who she truly was and sharing that with the world.

In that moment, surrounded by laughter and love, Amitie knew she had made the right choice. She was ready to take on whatever came next, confident in her new look and, more importantly, in herself.

Notes:

I decided to not include Dapper Bones for... obvious reasons. Amitie's outfit here is the same as in Red and Black from Chapter 8 onwards. Different elements of outfit: Hat - same as always Hair - slightly grown, so it's tied into a small double ponytail. Hair tie is based on Red Amitie's staff. (This part in particular was praised by gwizofthestars when it was featured on PuyoLive episode 3 alongside my Sig design) Shirt - Slightly cropped red T-shirt with Chu Puyo on it. Bracelet - same as always, but now it's more yellow than green Belt - similar to her belt from Fever 2, minus the fanny pack and with a different buckle. In place of fanny pack, she wears her backpack from Puyo Puyo Touch. Shorts - same as in Puyo Puyo Touch, except she wears yellow leggings with them. Socks - same as always Shoes - from Puyo Puyo Quest

"Sibling Rivalry" (original: Let's Puyo Battle)

The battlefield was silent as the audience waited for the upcoming battle.

Lidelle's classmates and associates had different ways of showing concern, with Ringo, Draco, Amitie, and Tarutaru being the most blatant, and Raffina, Lemres, Sig and Feli being the most subtle.

The battle was to last until two victories were obtained by either competitor.

"Are you ready to face the Dark Prince, young lady?" Satan asked.

"Y-y-yes..." Lidelle said, both scared and nervous.

"Good. Remember... it's just a game..." Was he encouraging her or scaring her?

Lidelle took a deep breath, her heart racing. She had watched many battles before, but this time, she was the one in the spotlight. The crowd murmured in anticipation, and the vibrant colors of the Puyo shapes danced in her mind.

"Begin!" Maguro announced, and the arena erupted in a flurry of movement.

Lidelle quickly scanned her side of the board, her fingers deftly moving as she connected Puyos of the same color. The familiar thrill surged through her as the first chain reaction sparked, sending a cascade of colorful blobs flying into Satan’s territory.

He countered with a series of rapid placements, forming an intricate setup that threatened to overwhelm her.

As the round progressed, Lidelle struggled to keep up. Puyos began piling up on her side, and despite her best efforts, she couldn’t find a way to break through his defenses. In a matter of moments, she was pelted by Garbage Puyo, with a few of them severing her hair ties, loosening her hair and exposing her horns, embarrassing her further. The scoreboard flashed: Satan Wins!

Lidelle's heart sank. The crowd (minus Lidelle's friends) cheered for Satan, and Lidelle couldn't shake off potentially disappointing everyone she loved.

“Don’t worry, you’ll get him next time!” Tarutaru called out, his voice full of encouragement.

As the second round began, the tension in the air thickened. Lidelle took a deep breath, focusing on her board and remembering the support of her friends. This time, she was determined to turn the tide.

The match started, and Lidelle’s sleeves flew over her board, strategically placing Puyos with newfound (but miniscule) confidence. As she built up her combos, the crowd's cheers became a motivating backdrop.

With each successful chain, she felt the weight of the first loss lifting. 'This is it!' she thought, channeling her focus.

Satan, sensing her new-found determination, ramped up his game. He executed a series of impressive moves, but Lidelle was ready. She countered with a stunning chain reaction of her own—a series of cascading Puyos that lit up the arena.

"Surprise!" she exclaimed, watching as a flood of Garbage Puyos overwhelmed Satan's board.

The scoreboard flashed again—Lidelle Wins! The crowd erupted into cheers, and Lidelle's heart soared with triumph.

“I did it!” she laughed, her excitement bubbling over.

Satan, caught off guard, smirked despite the loss. "Looks like you’ve improved! But I’m not finished yet!"

As Match Point began, the tension in the air thickened. Lidelle felt a lot of anxiety, knowing that this round could change everything.

With each Puyo she dropped, Lidelle remembered the training sessions, the laughter shared with her friends, and the unwavering support from her best friend, Tarutaru. She wasn’t just fighting for herself; she was fighting for everyone who believed in her.

The battle raged on, both competitors showcasing their skills and strategy. But just when it seemed Satan might turn the tide, Lidelle executed a stunning move—a chain of four, followed by a cascade that sent a shower of Puyos crashing down onto Satan’s side.

Satan stared, momentarily stunned. "What?! How did you—"

"Don’t underestimate me!" Lidelle shouted through her shy blushing, exhilaration pouring through her as victory became within reach.

With a final flurry of Puyos, Lidelle achieved her second win, and the arena exploded with cheers. She stood there, panting but triumphant, as Draco rushed forward to congratulate her.

"You kicked his butt, little sis!" Draco celebrated.

"Hehe, thanks, big sister," Lidelle said.

Lidelle's classmates, as well as Lemres and Feli, soon followed.

"You did it, Lidelle!" Amitie shouted.

"Congratulations, Ms. Lidelle!" Raffina said.

"Yay..." Sig said flatly. Even if he sounded out of it, Lidelle knew he was genuine.

"I must admit, you defied the odds," Klug stated.

"Satan's fate was sealed." Feli said.

"See? I told you she could do it!" Tarutaru beamed, lifting her up in excitement.

Lemres handed Lidelle a strawberry cupcake.

Satan approached, a grin on his face despite the loss. "You’ve grown stronger, young Lidelle. I’ll have to challenge you again sometime."

"Anytime!" she replied while tying her hair back up, her spirit soaring. In that moment, surrounded by friends and family, Lidelle felt more than just a competitor—she felt like a true champion.

As the celebrations continued, she knew that this battle was only the beginning.

I love it! My only note is that for religious reasons, Satan will be referred to as The Dark Prince in this series

The “dark lady” was covered in a little fortress made of pillows, holding a wooden soup ladle as she messed with her towel cape as if to add dramatic wind, all the while doing her best impression of a ‘smug villain’ face. Well, she’s having fun with this, it seems.

— i um dont think i have any headconons that i haven’t told or put out in public but. i can say that shen is best friends with velvet velour herself! i’ve stated it before but idk if many know that. velvet velour is a character off vtmb, she’s the owner of the strip club vesuvius, the place where shen works at! also roy actually liked his lovers wife, and he really did not want to kill her but. he wanted the husband all to himself, and growing up having everything handed to him affected his thought process here. he acted on impulse and only cared about himself in the end. but he did love her, he is just possessive and controlling, and that urge to get what he wants is HUGE!

emily carol lidell was born in london england, her mother’s pride and joy since the day she was born. growing up, young emily never knew her father, her parents were never married and her father’s ‘pristine reputation’ couldn’t afford to be muddied by a daughter, so he left her mother to raise emily all on her own. luckily she never seemed to notice her father’s absence and instead she formed an extremely close bond with her mother. emily would spend hours listening to her tales about a mystical place called wonderland that she had traveled to when she was just a small girl. emily was completely engrossed in her stories and even dreamed of being able to go there herself one day. and that’s exactly what she did. wonderland was practically a second home for the girl where she made many friends and spent much of her childhood. even if others didn’t believe her when she told them about such a place or think of her as mad, emily knew better. eventually a step father was brought into her life and along with him came a sibling, someone for emily to play with and share her stories with. if nothing else they believed her and that was all that mattered to her. now that she’s here in town emily sees this as an opportunity to explore a brand place even if she does miss her family dearly.

another  day  ,  and  the  summer  sun  starts  to  set  behind  a  ring  of  clouds  .  that  doesn’t  stop  you  and  your  fellow  students  of  halloway  from  ignoring  their  responsibilities  ,  and  turning  the  night  into  a  party  .  it  seems  as  more  days  passed  ,  we’re  starting  to  lose  sight  of  finding  a  way  back  home  .  instead  ,  with  a  new  leader  appointed  ,  you’re  less  worried  about  surviving  ,  and  excited  about  living  instead  .  the  party  is  thrown  in  honor  of  a  new  beginning  ,  a  new  tide  ,  where  the  rich  stay  rich  ,  and  the  poor  get  what’s  left  behind  .  or  maybe  ,  it’s  just  a  reason  to  drink  and  ignore  the  fating  problems  you  see  on  the  horizon  .  maybe  ,  it’s  in  honor  of  a  new  leader  ,  who’s  footsteps  are  echoed  with  the  sound  of  righteousness  ,  knowing  that  they  will  do  anything  to  get  what  they  want  .  but  as  the  sun  sets  ,  the  heat  only  seems  to  unbearable  .  wait------       was  that  thunder  ?

 thunder begins to roll in  ,  and maybe the students are thankful for the possibility of rain  .  however  ,  as the storm approaches  ,  you’ll notice a change in the atmosphere  .  it’s suddenly incredibly hot  ,  more so even now that the sun has set  .  no chance of rain has been gifted from the sky  ,  and instead--  a heat storm has brewed over what’s remaining of halloway  .  but wait---  this is no ordinary storm  ,  is that lightening green ?  thunder crackles  ,  and neon emerald strikes across the sky  ,  leaving you with more questions than you have answers  .  you’ve never seen anything like this before  .  

the midst of picked up winds  ,  the power flickers with uncertainty  ,  before everything has gone dark   ,  completely  .  somehow  ,  you’ve found yourself in a group the moment the lights turned off  ,  and it’s up to you to decide whether or not you stick it through with the people you’re stuck with----  or ignore mother nature’s warning signs entirely  .

OH! Music! 

No stories without music/sound over here. Stories usually flesh out in my head while I’m listening to music, and especially when I’m moving. Be it staring out the window of the bus or when cycling to work, running or when I walk to the supermarket. 

I have several playlists made for different moods. From ambience stuff like @thetaoofzoe​ mentioned to really confusing alt pop music (with perhaps a bit too vague and poetic lyrics😂). 

Rocktastic and classics favorites: Out of the Blue - ELO Album,  Muse, John Butler (Ocean is b-e-autiful, best 12 minute solo guitar ever), Gojira - From Mars To Sirius album (metal, but with sense of storytelling, Backbone gives me good chills every time), Queens of the Stone Age

Ambience favorites: Nemo’s Dreamscapes (Youtube channel), Past Perfect Vintage Music (Youtube channel), Ambience of Yesteryear (Youtube channel)
