          “Fuck!” Debbie cursed under her breath , trying not to draw attention to the scene in front of her as she near silently sobbed. She paced before kneeling down, grasping at her unconscious father’s bleeding head. “Fuck, fuck, fuck. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I didn’t-” She had meant to, she couldn’t lie about that. He deserved it. He had hurt her mum and she just couldn’t stand it anymore. She’d spent nineteen years watching and listening to him hurt Bea and she had to stop it. For good. Only she wasn’t sure if he was dead and she could get herself to finish the job.

          Her eyes widened when she heard her mum calling for her and she ran to the back door when she saw it opening. “Don’t come out! I-I..” she yelled back, slamming the door shut, putting as much of her weight into it as she tried to find an explanation. “Just- just stay inside, please! I’m fine!”

          Despite her attempts to keep the door shut, her mum was stronger than her and she was too shaky to properly hold it shut anyway. Her sobs grew more audible and she doubled over, sobbing into her hand. “I saw what he did!” she forced out through her anger and fear. “I couldn’t let him-” She didn’t want to say the words. It was disgusting and horrifying and it made her so angry.
