leaving the horrors of beacon hills behind, stiles departed for new york to start a new life far away from the world of the supernatural that haunted his teenage years. he settled into his role as one of the leading special agents for the FBI and finally considered himself safe. but with his guard lowered, memories of unprocessed grief, loss, and guilt crept in that chipped away at him until one day he found an emotional outburst shaking the room around him. what stiles first believed to be an isolated incident of his mind playing tricks on him was soon followed by an accumulation of strange phenomena prompting him to dig deeper, setting out on a quest to find out who–or what–he is that leads him to uncover secrets not only about himself, but a long-forgotten family lineage and powers best left undisturbed.

I think I've loved you since I met you. I just mistook it for curiosity.

Ever since I first laid eyes on you, I felt this unquenchable need to know you. I blamed it on ulterior motives, justified it because I needed something from you, because you held the answers I was looking for, because no one else was able to help but you. Looking back on it now though, I'm starting to think that maybe some part of me knew right from the start, that first night I stumbled upon you in the woods, what took me years to see: Maybe my heart recognized that it was going to love you right away, and I spent the years to come catching up with what it knew right from the start. That it was always going to be you. How could it ever have been anyone else? Through mayhem and bloodshed, through fear and loss, through grief and sleepless nights, you were the one constant that remained. When I lost sight of everything—first myself, then reality, then hope—you were the one guiding my way like a beacon, or a north star. If I've ever known peace, it's in all the moments that your hand has touched mine and that your arms have held me tirelessly, putting your body like a shield between me and every inkling of danger. Of all the late-night wonderings of trying to make sense of the last decade (and failing), what remains is this singular thought: At least it was you. At least it was me. At least it was us, together. I'd bear it all a million times over if it meant I got to hold your hand at the end of it all. Lysander grew up with a very proud father, three older siblings and a mother who cared about nothing but looking perfect. As a child, everything he did was coached or ridiculed, and even though his family weren’t exactly wealthy, that didn’t stop his parents from keeping up appearances - especially with his father climbing military ranks easily. One would have thought the money from being in such a position would help, but Lysander’s father had garnered a serious gambling addiction that meant very little of his wages were really spent on the family. 

Weeks after he turned eighteen, his mother passed away - though the circumstances of her death were unclear to him at that time, and remain a mystery even now. He has a suspicion that his siblings know the truth, but none of them ever disclosed it, and by the time he hit his mid-twenties, he no longer cared enough to keep asking. With his mother’s constant vigilance now missing, and his father increasingly absent, Lysander was free to act as he pleased - and by God, did he. Tired of being told to be “proper” and “polite”, and now an adult in his own right, he became a true free spirit. He drank, he gambled (having learned the tricks of the trade from his father), and thanks to his charismatic ways, he made many, many connections, which got him by well enough in the society of London. 

He became fairly well known for his roguish ways and charming smiles that often got him what he wanted, with everyday ventures and more… romantic pursuits. And if he couldn’t talk his way into something, he’d take other routes - mainly, betting. After all, he was pretty good at it after all these years of practice.

Five years ago, his luck finally came through. In a drunken game of Cribbage with an older gentleman at a pub, Lysander won an establishment called Gentleman Jack’s. At first, he didn’t think the man was serious, until he received a letter later that week. The deeds were soon handed over and suddenly, Mister Digby owned and operated a gentleman’s club. 

He gave it a real overhaul, updating the decor, establishing better official membership pricings and, most importantly, investing in better booze. So far, he’s doing pretty well for himself, and it certainly aids him in his romantic endeavors, though he has never been the sort to stick with one person for long...

so i've done some work on fia--

i'm throwing these out here early, though her bio is ALMOST finished, I'm not linking the google site/bios until they are ALL done.

but in summary: fia is a succubus. she's only recently reached "maturity" in that she needs to start fending for herself (as the energy her mother provided for her from her birth has since dissipated), but she's pretty chill about it. she's the type that feeds off of emotional energy rather than just the act of libidinous encounters themselves, though that is still the easiest method for her to consume.

I want to reiterate: Fia is not solely for sexual interactions. they may happen more frequently, but they are not her sole focus. while she may be intentionally flirtatious and sensual for the sake of getting a meal, she will not give chase or persist without the consent of who I'm writing with, nor will she ever do any direct intimate action without the other character's consent. (teasing is a little different, but I will not do that without the writer's permission.)

i'm still working through the lore and the mechanics, but those will be listed. somewhere. once I think of them
