The Tracker of the Murphy family was one who rarely showed his face. He didn’t often need to. Usually all he had to do was quietly observe a meeting from a hidden position, study the person’s aura, then focus on it while holding a picture he had taken of them when the Murphys wanted to find someone.
The problem this time around was that he hadn’t been able to attend the meeting as he usually would and only had a photo taken by a fill-in. It wasn’t the same. So now Ray had to go out and find the person from the rough location he could work out from the photo.
The boss didn’t particularly like it, but they had little choice if they wanted to track down the guy. Ray just hoped he could find out where the guy was staying and then get back home before anyone realised who he was. Someone else could do the rest of the work.

Was it bad that he had a moment of 'oh, of course' once he realised where he had narrowed the guy's location to? Maybe. But then, his Irish-American boss was regularly at pubs so Ray quickly brushed it off.
Ray found himself a spot where he could wait and watch from, pretending his camera was for taking touristy photos and not...well, spying on someone. It was a main street tourists often wandered through, but also one where Ray suspected his target would have to pass through sooner or later as he moved about the area.
Ah, yes, there!
Ray quickly took a photo, then released his camera, letting it hang from its strap around his neck. Then he crossed the street towards the guy, waving him down.
Time to play up the whole tourist thing. Luckily his natural accent made that easy.
"Hey mate! Mind helping a bloke out with a picture?" Ray asked, holding up the camera. He was hoping that he could 'accidentally' brush against the guy's hand as he took the camera and then be able to easily track him later.

Jin liked doing business in America. It was so far from home that nobody knew his face. No one knew he was a career criminal. And no one hassled him about his tattoos.
It was away from the prying eyes of his uncle too. He was finally trusted enough to conduct business on his own, and not having to worry about his uncle checking over his shoulder to make sure everything was going according to plan was freeing. He could get things done his way, using his own methods. It would be much more efficient than using the outdated tactics Boss Shimura preferred.
He was here to discuss a partnership in Little Tokyo with some potential new distributors. Nothing was set in stone yet, however. Jin was strictly on an information gathering trip; he needed to see how things were run and what type of people these really were before his uncle would even consider shipping contraband overseas.
Part of his intel gathering involved walking the streets of the neighborhood. Scouting out potential drop points or meetup spots. Getting a feel for the location. Making sure he wasn’t going to infringe on anyone else’s turf. He was pretty sure he’d done his research correctly, but it always helped to double check.
